Wolvit Releases 2 New Digi ads on Hair Loss

Monday, March 27, 2023

Truth be told, I think I'm suffering from hair loss too. It's a really stressful condition to be in especially if you just want to look good up there, and see yourself being the handsome self you were when you were young.

Aside from aging, it could be caused by one or many issues. Recently, Wolvit (a biotin supplement brand) released 2 digital ads about it showcasing different guys, different circumstances where they encounter the instances where people notice that they're losing hair. The ones in the ads feel they suddenly get shocked, then lose confidence, because their usual crowning glory or perfect hair, seem not to be as good anymore.

The first is entitled "Night Out", a little iffy if you're a foodie, but you'll definitely relate if it is happening to you. The second one is called "Hinala", for women who suddenly find themselves suspecting husbands of an affair, but didn't see it was their own hair falling on the pillows and clothes. That what you may be experiencing, was just Biotin deficiency. Wolvit takes care of that.

If you want to know more about it, you can purchase them in Mercury Drug stores and Watsons, go check it out as it's accessible. I might do that myself.

5 Ways To Get That Enrique Gil Look

Wednesday, January 11, 2017

Yesterday sparked the endorsement of Enrique Gil with GRIPS Wax and Grips Clay but we're not stopping there. Have you ever wondered how he gets that look? How does he make that hairstyle? How does he stand out in the crowd? I think it's actually easy to do so let me decostruct it for you.

For starters, we need to use the right product. GRIPS has 3 wax variants that basically means it's got different types of hold. Yes, we need to manage hair in different conditions so we could get that look for different occasions. Enrique tells you how in these posters.

For the TENTEN look, he uses GRIPS Clay and lightly lathers it on his hair with his hands. You can also use this on the tips so it bonds together to prevent hair from those fly aways. This is easy to maintain and only takes a few minutes to do right after you dry your hair. You must ask your barber or stylist to keep the length on the top and just pull it on the front left side. If you're out to play sports or just going the gym to workout, if you are athletic, this is for you!

If you prefer going out at night for some real fun with friends or family, get te GRIPS Hair Gel. To get this Alexander Grande III look, you need a clean barbers cut and a comb. Right after you come out of the shower and towel dry your hair, apply a good amount if gel on your hands and lather it in on your hair from top to sides. Use the comb to make a few lines on your hair and smoothen it out by tucking in the crazy ones inside. You'll look like a million dollars like him in no time.

Using the black GRIPS Hair Wax for extra hold, dry your hair thoroughly and build height with your hair up top. I remember the saying "the higher your Pompadour, the closer to God" and with the tons of award shows and events that Quen needs to attend these days, he's most presentable in this style.

Enrique also love to dance. For the King of the Gil look, you can have that same haircut as with the Tenten look but instead of putting everything on the sides, use your hands to pull it up on the front so you would look cool and hunky. Pur a little more wax on the tips and take time to arrange it but make sure it doesn't look messy. I'm sure you'll find your own Liza Soberano in no time!

You will be seeing Cali and Gio in Star Cinema's My Ex and Whys which will shown on February according to Enrique. In awards show, Enrique can just use a dab of the wax and put little spikes in the back and smoothen out in the front, this might get an impression of a little bad boy look for him. Since they're ex's in this movie, there will be some conflict between him and Cali. But before you all get excited, get this look so you can get a hit of Enrique's look even before it hits theaters. Who knows, you might set a trend!

Thank you GRIPS for having us and B Hotel for hosting the event. Thank you too to the thousands of Quenatics who said thanks after I posted tons of shots on my Instagram account (follow @kumagcow on all social media channels please!). Thank you to Enrique too for being so nice during the interview and I hope you get to enjoy his look now that you've got GRIPS Wax and Clay available in stores nationwide!

Colored Right "The Hombre" Way by Jerusalem N Dio Salon

Wednesday, February 24, 2016

I haven't been able to fix my hair for a couple of months and I always get crazy when I get bored from it being black. It went black for a reason though because I had to be Professor Snape for one day during Ruth Dela Cruz's birthday. So I did the next big thing with my friends over at Jerusalem N Dio Salon at 58 Pentagrand Building in Mother Ignacia in Quezon City. It's a stones throw away from St. Mary's College of Quezon City so you wouldn't miss  it. They've treated me like family and just like the countless celebrities/clientele they've had over the years, I feel they only want YOU to be happy with your hair. Now that's a really great deal for me and I've been yearning for a color change. Tita Bing told us about  "The Hombre" which is a coloring style that makes you look like you've got root growths already even if they're coloring it for the first time. This has been done in Europe and in the US, which is pretty current in Philippine standards so I was so excited!

I love my hair, and the only way to treat it right is by looking good all the time. They're a neighborhood salon with the right amount of courage to experiment with their patrons, and I like that part. It's also near my place and it's accessible even by public transport. Best of all, you get treated like family. I don't know how to actually put that in words but if you go there, you'll experience it. That's how Tita Bing Dio has actually been able to do this for years. You should experience that yourself and get that hair fixed. They did my hair, really good in fact that I'm wearing it like this almost everyday in events. Oh, and it's organic!

Thank you so much Tita Bing Dio and your whole staff! From super black hair to this? It's AMAZING! I love what I look like now and it's all because of you!

Staying Stylish in Ystilo Salon Greenhills

Thursday, June 06, 2013

An afternoon of pampering was about to be done at fabulous Ystilo Salon in Greenhills. It's actually my first time here because I always frequent the one that's near my neighborhood. I heard so many good things about this brand that Vina Morales owns and it has been the talk of the town with celebrities, actors and actresses. I'm sure this brand only would only give the best. That's what I was about to find out.

Just when I was about to get into a chair, we saw Julian Estrada. He's the grandson of the former President Joseph Estrada and consequently part of the few who made it to Star Magic Circle 2013. We had a small chat and this guy was really nice. He had that overall good vibe. He wasn't too "celebrity" if there is such a thing. He's very optimistic now that he's part of ABSCBN's pool of actors and he feels honored to have been able to be in this group. He's in the salon to get some cleaning up on his very tall hair. He tries to keep it simple and very easy to go out with. Wash and wear is probably part of his vocabulary. Men can take time with their hair of course and if it would make you look a LOT better, why not right?

Senator Jinggoy Estrada must be proud of his son. He's not a spoiled brat, he's very accommodating and he knows how it is to talk to people. He's very genuine and I think he'll be really successful someday. Pretty cute, and I'm sure he'll be one guy girls would fall for... more pretty soon.

See what I mean about seeing stars in Ystilo? Well you know what? There's more!

My Hairstyle Satisfaction at
BND Hair Gallery Salon!

Friday, July 13, 2012

I dig giving myself time when choosing hairstyles. It's a must for me that my aesthetics and taste gets in to play a role in what it would look like; and I've been to several salons in my neighborhood that remains futile in satisfying what I want to happen in my crowning glory. Good thing there's BND Hair Gallery Salon in Panay Avenue Quezon City that can do it in a jiffy!

I went there on a Saturday evening. I was just on Facebook and saw my friend and hair guru Cher Nogara posting a photo of one of her works on her wall. It was awesome and I hurriedly asked about it. She said she'll do it right there and then. Too shy really to do this but I was wishing SHE was the one who could make this happen for me. I'm so glad I got there in time!

This procedure is called Hair Tattoo. It's pretty much practiced here and in other countries. Although in the Philippines the choices of designs are so slim. Things are so simple. I wanted something even more intricate so I gladly asked her about it. She was so game and I was ecstatic! My ordinary mohawk was going to be jazzed up by BND Hair Gallery. It really was awesome that I found someone who understands what I want to be done to my hair. Thanks Cher Nogara, Bing Dio & Beng Manuel and to everyone at BND Hair Gallery Salon! You really took good care of me.

One of Manila's Best Kept Secrets!: BND Hair Gallery Salon

Tuesday, June 28, 2011

I just got my hair did in one of the best kept secrets in town! I was complaining mainly about how I couldn't manage it because of the curse natural curls I have even if it's already in its Mohawk state. Cher Nogara a fellow blogger and correspondent from Orange Magazine TV suggested I try out their salon along Panay Avenue in Quezon City. BND Hair Gallery Salon is one of Manila's best kept secrets, big names and real stars frequent their humble abode from sun up to sun down. Why shouldn't you try what worked for them right?!

I tried their treatments and they said that this would clean dirt and give me a fresh and better feeling in the scalp. With the dirt removed and treated I wouldn't have a hard time managing my hair after that. I thought it would just end with plain chemicals on my head but they went the extra mile and give me something more. This kind lady with me and Cher gave me a massage, which is her specialty. So along with the things they do for your hair they made this something to look forward to every time you visit their salon. Pretty nice if you are tired and in need of something to change your mood. I felt cool and got my hair style fixed in seconds with minimal to no hair products, it was the first time I saw my hair edgy like that in years! What impressed me the most is that they never even sacrifice quality... their salon and it's interiors are at par with the world's finest. Need a classy haircut? A new image? BND Hair Gallery Salon can give just that!

Thanks to the BND Hair Gallery Creative Team Ms. Bing Dio, Ms. Cher Nogara & Ms. Beng Manuel. You guys are awesome! I'll probably have my hair done there... soon! =)
