In their facility, we tried a few procedures to better treat my frozen shoulder which I've been suffering from the whole week. After checking my blood pressure, they recommended the Bio Clarity Therapy so that I could relax, detoxify, get a bit of weight off, relieve myself from body pains and so that I could improve my blood circulation. They could combine this with other services like Cupping Therapy (in order to ease back and neck pain, headaches by inducing blood flow to the area), Magnetic Acupressure (much like acupuncture without using needles), or Activated Charcoal Bath (to help detoxify the skin and body by bathing with it in a tub). They also have Thermal Mineral Phototherapy which they do to improve blood flow, reduce the feeling of anxiousness and insomnia, lessen muscle stiffness, in about 15 to 30 minutes.

After the sauna like experience with the Bio Clarity Therapy, we then proceeded to do the Diathermy treatment wherein they had me massaged with a heat element. It felt so good when they placed it on my shoulder area where the pain was emanating. It was better right away which says a lot about their treatments. A lot of their clients/patients get this ministration in sessions so that they could heal over time, something I'm considering now after seeing the effects on my day 1.

Mavy Legaspi and Kyline Alcantara for Luv Is: Love at First Read

It looks like GMA is bringing you another chance to believe in love with the new installment of Wattpad webnovel series called Luv Is: Love at First Read. It's based off a Wattpad web series that's already garnered millions of views on the platform. It's about a guy (named Kudos played by Mavy Legaspi) who's quite skeptical about love, and meeting at unexpected circumstances.

Kudos is a jock, but just couldn't  find the one girl that would make his world stop. After an accident, she (Angelica) had to help him with school and all. Then they find their lives intertwined after Mavi's character Kudos gets to pick up Angelica's diary and read it. He felt he was reading about his ideal girl. Will destiny become part of the reason to find the one?

 

Kyline says "Mavi and I have always stayed so grateful, as for pressure Mavi is more excited and we both trust the process in making this. I'm just glad I'm working with a person I'm comfortable with, and that's Mavi. We don't really pay attention anymore with criticism, especially the ones that are out of context, but pick up those that can improve us. It feels so good to be able to explore another character, in a new series. Compared to my other projects , this has more emotions. The last time I was giddy was watching the fast talk episode he was in, go watch that on YouTube. He said there that I'm his world, and hearing that, I really appreciate him more."

Mavi adds "It starts with the trust with you co artist who respects our work and personal ethics, we balance it out and as Kyline says, it's being transparent with what we do. It's a big thing for us and it has helped us in a great way! Being with her, I always look at her eyes, and that's when I feel kilig, every second actually."

 

 

 

Aside from Mavy and Kyline, the cast includes good looking actor Bruce Roeland, internationally awarded actress Therese Malvar, Larkin Castor, Josh Ford, Kiel Gueco and Vito Gueco (of the Gueco Twins) and Mariel Pamintuan.

This is a partnership with Wattpad Webtoon Studios and GMA, choosing the story and they said is first and foremost, based on popularity. Hopefully they will be able to make more programs out of novels in the platform. And soon, there will be more stories that will be in GMA. The writer also said that even though there are changes, it will be developed for TV so they will love the story even more. You've got a lot to look forward to in the coming weeks. I had so much fun during this event. I have always regarded BlueWater Day Spa as our family's go to place for rest and relaxation. My Mom and Sister are regulars in the branch near our place and I don't even blame them at all. The superb service plus the whole experience had them hooked the first time they tried it. It's already been beneficial, when there are aches and pains because of everyday work, this serves as a refuge for them and they always invite me along if I'm free. I'm glad they still think of their well being despite being busy at home and in the workplace. I don't usually have that luxury, but I indulge if I can if time permits.

BlueWater Day Spa is not holding back on improving what they offer. They now have different varieties of wellness and beauty services. The SLASHIE life they mention is how to maintine that time to relax, take a breather and recharge even if we all have an active lifestyle. They have different ambassadors for different services.

Good looking Ervic Vijandre and Benjamin Alves pushes for their favorites which are the ATHLETE's MASSAGE and the TRADITIONAL FILIPINO HILOT. They've vouched on how it could actually relax, soothe tense nerves and eliminate cold spots especially at the back area. Man of the World 2017 Winner Mustafa Galal Elezali on the other hand prefers to do REVITA SHAPE TREATMENT because of the way it tones and slims the body parts where it matters most aesthetically. David Licauco on the other hand wants you to experience the COMBO HERBAL MASSAGE with VOLCANIC STONE HERBAL PACK. It's heat treatments with Swedish and Shiatsu massage combined. I think I tried a similar treatment in their Tomas Morato branch a couple of months ago, but if they've improved that, this is exciting!

I was a bit surprised though that they also have treatment for kids. Imagine, this place has INFANT MASSAGE which is done by appointment only.Give them a call and see how you can promote health and growth of your young ones. It also helps digestion, increases blood flow and boosts their immune system. That's going to translate remarkable improvement on your kid's health if you ask me. During the program, I liked how the Mom and Fabio Ide got so crazy with the kids. They were a lot to handle! LOL!

Kim Chiu was so gracious and so approachable outside the venue. She obliged fans of selfies including me! :) She's promoting what is called MLD or Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage. It's fit for those who don't want to have skin problems, sagging skin, PMS, sleep disorders, cramps, neck pains and lower back pains. Kim even told us how she experiences these things while shooting shows she appears in on ABSCBN. She suggests you do this twice a month because she does it too. Gillette x Esquire x Felipe & Sons in Makati

Just a quick note. I went to Felipe and Sons a few days ago to get pampered by the people from Esquire and Gillette Philippines. The place looks awesome. It's everything you would want to have in a barber shop. It's gentlemanly, it's a bit hip, the barbers are quite skilled and their sense of cuts are current. 

Aside from that, they've got grooming to a T. From haircuts, shaving, massage, fashion, coat making, bags, shirts, shoes and accessories, they're all on the same venue. I really enjoyed the shave, after looking like a hobo for a few days, I decided I needed a shave and consequently they were using Fusion Proglide with Flexball Technology. We got a sample of that too. I must tell you, it's the closest shave I've ever got and I felt my skin was a baby's bum afterwards. Loved it that much that I'd like to show it to you too!

One of the biggest names in the spa and care industry just introduced new services that's even a little easy in the pocket. Blue Water and Day Spa that's got branches in Ortigas, Makati, Eastwood, Tomas Morato, Capitol Hills, Naga City and Cotabato City will now have EMANS Massage and their favorite Brazilian Hand and Foot Massage as part of their services.

Now you must be wondering who these celebrities are on the poster, yes that's Anthony and David Semerad on the cover. They're the new image models for Blue Water and Day Spa and it was nice to see them in the flesh as part of the celebrations that afternoon. They really hit two birds with one stone.

The Brazilian Hand and Foot massage was basically made to lift your body. It also hastens to regenerate your skin and make your complexion a tad better. It utilizes a special massage for the hand and feet which techniques were made for the prevention of the appearance of varicose veins by using special crystals. It's something comparable to acupuncture since they concentrate on pressure points without really using needles. It is also said to prevent pain in the wrist and fingers making it all good for hand and muscle motion. Best of all, if you're tired and want to relax from blogging all day... this is the perfect way to get back in the groove again like pampering specific for the hands and feet.

Feeling so down and stuck at home? Stressed from work? Feel so ugly and sticky in this kind of weather? I know, I went through all that and more. Don't worry though because I've seen this new fancy place at the 3rd Floor of the newly built Hemady Square Building right beside the Christ the King Church in E. Rodriguez, Quezon City. I got the pampering I deserve after all that work and play I did the previous week. 

Now, don't get me wrong. I don't normally go to nail spas because I think it's too girly. I don't want to tell you to do the same. Men need clean nails though, so having a manicure and pedicure is just as normal as a haircut these days. If you're still afraid to go to one, this one isn't going to scare you. It's upscale feel is just right. Don't be afraid of the colorful interiors because you need that like endorphins. I proceeded inside with only one thing in my mind, that was to relax and get my nails done. Simple and achievable, right?

You'll be greeted in the front counter by the owner herself, Ms. Alyssa Sy. Just like her spot, she's warm and very friendly. This goes the same with her staff which is a must in services like this. She suggested I get a full body massage when I was expecting foot pampering that afternoon. I gladly said yes and tell you about that later. They have the price list and services already listed on the counter but you can always ask for what they can do for you or suggest stuff to get pampered with. The room smelled wonderful too which I think is because they've got mini lights with peppermint aroma in one part of the room. It was calming, soothing and happy at the same time. Wouldn't get that anywhere right? :)

Seating is comfortably available on both sides of the room. It can probably sit around 10 people at the same time. This would be the ideal setting for a nail spa party. It would also be great if you want to veer away from the usual bridal shower like an alternate venue if you want a small gathering to ensue. You have one side for those who want a more sturdy royal seating, whilst the other can be good for those who want to slouch around and want it softer.

The usual zen music is there but you can always request for songs you prefer. It's an audio - video thing so I'm sure you won't miss out on TV programs if you need to watch your favorite telenovela or movie when available. If you need emergency internet connection, the place has wifi so just ask for it but really... you are here to relax so put that phone on silent and enjoy the experience being disconnected. Get back to the action when you're done!

Make Me Blush also has hair services. Alyssa is a great make up artist and hair stylist. She's also trained and certified so you know how that goes. Though you can't just walk in everyday for this, you must set an appointment where Alyssa can arrange for you. A call would do, I'll give you the phone number to call in a bit. Meanwhile, it was time for my massage ^_^

Their massage services are pretty big. They've got it arranged by 30/60/90 minutes. From Head, Back, Hand and Foot massages you can expect them concentrate on the specific area you want to get taken cared of. Swedish, Deep Tissue, Shiatsu, Combination or Stress Buster... they've got different kinds and packages that would suit your need. My eyes lit up when the Deep Tissue Massage was mentioned and said "I'll have that, thank you Ma'am." and smiled all the way to the room in the back. Their beds were kinda velvety. You have the usual and the comfort room just beside it. After the massage, I almost dozed off. It was nice and relaxing, I immediately thought of going back again just for that. The attendant was also nice and she was explaining everything when I asked a lot of questions about the massage. Did I say I was going back there? Hehe of course!

Nail services were impeccable. Pedicure was a breeze and my feet didn't get murdered. I love how meticulous they were in taking care of the nails. Huffed and buffed in the right places. Plus, my friend Ruth had a blast with the colors they had on the shelves. It's all complete! Don't you just frown on some other nail places that show you thousands of style templates but ends that they don't have the colors? Hehe. It's not gonna happen here. Aside from that, she's also got some colorful bags sold in the shop. That would totally complete your look!

For people who live nearby, please come and visit. For those who are from other cities, they have parking available so it'll be worth the trip. I had a great massage, got my nails done... and it doesn't take a genius to tell that it was damn good. Clean, simple, relaxing and very affordable. Call them for appointments, thank me later!

The Royal Lake Spa in Timog Avenue, Quezon City

I've only been to one Spa (no matter how lame that sounds it is true) and it's a bit far from where I live. It's not too easy to go to but I go there for the food, the ambiance and the people. 

I'm a guy who needs options and I was so lucky to have been invited to this new place in the Tomas Morato - Timog area called Royal Lake Spa. It's beside the Petron Station and rotunda where the Boyscouts Statues are. This was previously known as the CITYLIFESTYLE Building.

This is my neighborhood and I can walk from my house to here in just a couple of minutes.  I'm not a fan of crowds and a bit allergic to stares and I must say this experience was new to me so I gave it a shot. 🐵

This place is also managed by the same people who run Wensha Spa in Antipolo; and the thing is, this place is only three months old. This was a gentleman's bar before but they've reconstructed and converted it into an All in One Family Entertainment place right in the heart of Quezon City.

The ground floor houses a full bar. They serve a la carte local and international beer, liquors and mixes to satisfy their very discriminating clientele who just wants to have a good time. They have bucket packages though that are surprisingly affordable. Bands can play on this joint and functions (on some occasions) can be accommodated to party on this spacious entertainment area specifically designed for those who want a drink or two before going through the rest of the floors. Believe me, there's more!

Upon checkin in, you'll be given slippers and a faux jade/crystal bracelet which you'll use while inside the building. The Second Floor houses the Male and Female locker room situated on separate sides of the floor. Your bracelet actually serves as your keys which works much like a perimeter RF card so you can open and close your lockers while you're there. You have to be careful though because if you lose it, it'll cost a lot because it's high tech. I didn't take photos of the wet and dry Sauna also the Jacuzzi because there were people on them at the time I arrived. They've got a lot of shower stations too so you can rinse off after going around this place. Men and women are on separate ones, quite conducive to a more wholesome experience.

The third floor is nice. You can pamper yourself with Manicure, Pedicure, Foot Spa services on lines of chairs stretching from end to end. This floor also has the dining area where the buffet is. I didn't get to eat dinner so I kinda ate a lot. For the price you pay on the services, KTV (which you'll see later) plus this buffet... it is definitely a STEAL!

They also have a smoking area for those who do. The dining area is also huge, you won't be crowding too much.

The hotpot was awesome. Just put all the ingredients in a bowl and give it to this guy right here and he'll prepare it for you. Tell them your locker number and they'll find you on the dining area. The broth is quite nice. They also have other items on the buffet like salads, rice and viands that you'll love - and that comes with the package too. It's like the perfect accompaniment for your spa experience, but we're not done yet!

When we reached the 4th floor, I realized I did something wrong. I ate first remember? So it was a little uncomfortable to get massaged after that. I strongly suggest you do this relaxing number first before you do eat a ton. I must say, they only said that they'll do Swedish and Shiatsu massage but actually they do a combination of these plus Thai plus hilot. It was SOOOOO GOOD. The guy beside my massage table was already sleeping after a few minutes. I was stretched in areas I don't even know existed haha. I highly recommend you do not leave this place unless you get this done. You need it and deserve to be pampered.

The Fifth Floor houses the Female Massage Rooms. Men are unfortunately not allowed here for obvious reasons. =( haha. This area is better because they are non communal, meaning they have separate rooms. You are also going to be asked if you prefer a male or female masseur on these services. Tipping is not forced but in normal circumstances it is recommended as courtesy (to be paid later upon checking out).

The 6th Floor's got the KTV rooms in it. It's fit for groups and families who want to spend time singing along the latest tunes this side of town. What's even great is that they have free drinks available on this joint so just ask around which ones are included on your package. All these for the promo price of P780.00 ++. You can't find a deal this good anywhere in this district. This is the Timog-Morato area after all and other Spa's probably cost an arm and a leg here without food. Now if that isn't enough reason to try out Royal Lake Spa with your friends and family, I don't know what will.

For your information this place is OPEN 24/7. If you're like me who stays in the office too much and gets lots of stress... Royal Lake Spa is the answer to your dreams. Go there, relax, get a massage, eat and enjoy the one stop shop for all your entertainment and spa service needs.
