KIM CHIU at the Hairfix PROfessional Line Launch

 

It's been a while since I've seen Kim, last time was a press conference before the pandemic. But I've always taken an interest in everything that she's doing especially with her relationship with Xian Lim who's also a warrior (we both are from UE). Kim has always had that bubbly disposition, something that you can't really find much in the industry. I wasn't surprised to see her land big roles in a few series in ABSCBN, and as of recent, Linlang on Prime Video. Kim has been long gone with those teeny bopper roles and has already been the apple of the eye of various brands that want her as an endorser. And now she's a part of the LifeStrong family, and is endorsing the new Hairfix PROfessional Line.

PBA Starts LIVE Audience and Broadcast on TV5

After a little heartbreak hearing Alaska being on the verge of leaving the league, hearing the crowd will be back in games was big news. This will all happen on PBA Governors Cup as the metro stays on Alert Level 2 and the league willing to go have 50% venue capacity, all happening this week. The theme this time is "Tayo ang Bida, Tuloy ang Laban".

For those who love the games, they'll be having double shows on Wednesday to Sunday and it will all be covered by TV5 and One Sports where you can watch it from the comforts of your home. If you prefer the live games, you can start getting tickets over at the Araneta Coliseum ticket office when the games happen live.

Magnolia Hotshots is still the team to beat since they haven't had any losses. Meralco Bolts and NLEX Road Warriors follow closely with some of their players dishing out the best plays in the league coming from the national pool veterans and good rookies. The transfers of Arwind Santos to Northport, Alex Cabagnot to Terrafirma  and Chris Banchero to Meralco Bolts might affect the standings soon, plus the new imports... so don't get your hopes up yet even if you've got a comfy lead, it can change anytime soon.

Join Toyota’s GR Supra GT Cup Asia - Philippines

Have you ever had the urge of of driving fast sometimes on the freeway, that you feel you can do good on the racetrack? What of you had the chance to do it on the world's famous racing circuits? Best of all, you’ll be doing it in Toyota's pure sports car, the GR Supra? Well now, you’ve got the chance to represent the Philippines and using your racing skills to the test. You’ll get the chance to bring honor to the country, in an international motorsport event.

It's possible, and you can do it online as Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) recently announced the launch of its first virtual motorsport competition, the GR Supra GT Cup Asia - Philippines. TMP is looking for champions that they can field against other countries in Asia. You can be the next racing champion!

Just register for free at the official website www.toyota.com.ph/gtcup where there are two major open categories. First is the Promotional Class for novice, casual virtual racers or enthusiasts, and second is the Sporting Class for advanced racers with previous professional virtual motorsports experience. It’s open to all Filipino citizens with a valid Philippine passport, 18yo and above that’s got a Playstation 4, able to use their own active PSN account and PS Plus subscription with the Gran Turismo Sport game.

After your registering and submitting requirements, qualified drivers will be notified on official game rules and schedules. The Top 24 from each class will race in the semi-final and the final race heats, and points will be assigned based on their finishing time. First round qualifiers will happen on July 23 and the finals will happen a week after. Then a second and third round will happen in August and September. Players from the two classes to accumulate the most points after the third round will be declared the Philippine champion and will participate in the Asian Regional Round come October.

There are two special classes open: the Celebrity and Media class which is where the third Philippine champion will come from plus the Junior class for players below 18. The GR Supra GT Cup Asia - Philippines is a motorsport program under Toyota's global Gazoo Racing brand and is being staged by TMP in partnership with Tuason Racing. This activity expands TMP's local motorsport development program which includes its premier one-make- race. Their Vios Racing Festival set to resume in 2021 whenever it's already declared safe to hold mass gatherings and public events. Outstanding Laundry Technologies: Lagoon Advanced Care Systems

Fast, easy and green... that's the vision. It also causes cancer, can make white fabrics gray which isn't a lovely picture to paint. Perc is now restricted abroad and will be banned in the next few years. Solven based washing is not a good thing if you use these chemicals, it's not as fresh, not as clean, not eco friendly and not healthy (harmful to operator and owner of the clothes). Hotels and Laundry shops have these dry cleaning machines and some even have used wash basins at times without knowing the dangers of it. The best alternative? Here's the Lagoon Advanced Care systems."

Lagoon Advanced Care systems are not complicated, it's fast, effective and can be done in one hour. Customers now come back for it because it's a game changer. 

Ko Jon Hok explains "This is a water based solution, I'm wearing a suit right now and it's common in so many countries. Jackets have different types of fabric just like your local barong. From receiving the garment, to spotting, washing, drying and pressing, it takes about an hour to finish everything.

The Lagoon advanced care machines have different capacities. Woolmark developed this system with us and got us certified also with other fabrics. The system has efficient dosing which means it adjusts the amount of solvents/detergent depending on the load. It's very easy to mount, (he then puts his wool and polyester in the machine) it uses the existing water in the drum and it uses very small amount. The foam cleans it all and cushions the garment. In a way it mimics hand washing, but this is consistent and very gentle. The dryer on the other hand detects the moisture of the clothes (through a sensor, he showed us using a hand and it detected that her hand had 8% moisture) so you efficiently use energy or heat on the garment. If you see the before and after photos, it has some wrinkled after washing, but after drying it gets straightened out and almost needs no ironing (because of the conditioner they use). From coats, to dresses, to wedding gowns, now you can do it in a machine instead of just hand washing these expensive gowns. Even with beads, embroidery, stones, mixed clothes, fleece, velvet, silk and a whole lot more, it would look almost new after going through the Lagoon Advanced Care system. The Electrolux machines with the custom programs, the detergents and conditioner (so it's easier to iron and protects it with coating) pumps, and will only work with the detergent and conditioner that is tested eith it and can be installed fast. Perfect Branding Ideas

This weekend was really a good one for me. I had time to create new business cards for my site, my photography business and my day job. I've got an alter ego to say the least but I had to keep it that way so I would stay organized. It may look like I have 3 personalities but the clientele is different. I seldom have people who need services that overlap with them but if ever I do I try to still see if they would lean towards one or the other. I don't actually have that much thought put into the company name for the photography business nor have I made a logo for it but I'm trying my best to still represent a brand with just the name. This reminds me... I think it would be better to have my own Custom Logo Design now that I'm gearing towards making this an official brand.

My idea of still having the word "light" on it stays to pay homage to my Masters. I've been lucky that I was taught by the best in the industry. I have this certain notion of having my brand to be at par with what they have been doing in the fashion photography industry and I'm killing most of my shots because of it. I only want to release those which pass my standards and I won't second guess myself this time like when I initially used to a few months back. It was really hard to tell you the truth; but if I'm going to do this and do justice to what they have taught me I have to play the right game. I want to be represented with a brand that would stand out from the crowd. I want to be more than the usual. I want it modern and unique but I have to make sure it represents me and my work well. Maybe institutions like LOGOMOJO can do the deed; I'll try and see if they can help me.
