KIRAY CELIS Wins in LOVE, Launches More Products for Skin/Health Empire

I distinctly remember the times we've covered press conferences for Kiray Celis, her shows and movies. She's always the jolly one, cracking jokes almost every time we meet her, cementing her career as a formidable actress and comedienne. In recent years, she'd had remarkable success in selling products online. She was selling millions worth of products from different manufacturers and asked herself how it could have been better if she sold her own and have had all the profit herself and her team. And so, she did. She's now the proud CEO of Kiray's Brands who manufactures Hot Babe and Skin Vibe products. And yesterday launched the new Hot Babe Green collection and 2 new ones under Skin Vibe.

I personally asked her if she feels that this is her "calling", but replies that the term was too deep for her to connect with. As for success, she doesn't feel she's there yet because all of her earnings are still being invested back to the business and is positive that in the coming years, would bear fruit, but even then she wouldn't see herself doing something big as an entrepreneur. She'd laugh it off just thinking of it. 

Hot Babe Green includes the Chamomile Tea, Lemongrass Pandan, Pistachio Matcha flavors. The drinks aid in digestion, lower cholesterol, detoxifies, cleanses and support weight management. On Skin Vibe, they launched Pwetturs B|eaching Cream and the Singova B|eaching Scrub that does exfoliation, brightens skin, and evens out your complexion. Took a while to put it out because she had to have FDA approval for it. It's a hard job, but she wants to make sure if she's going to have something out in the market, it had to be safe for Filipinos to use as she's got tons of resellers who are also helping her to grow her business. She's so thankful also to her affiliates, resellers and return customers who all contributed to the remarkable success of her brand.

KAILA ESTRADA is the Face of BAREFACED

Kapamilya actress and dramatic showbiz royalty Kaila Estrada was just announced as the new endorser for skincare brand Barefaced. In an earth toned themed event, they welcomed her and the new products they plan to release in the market. 

Their Sunkissed Tinted Sunscreen has the necessary SPF50 PA+++ protection you need for UVA or UVB rays. The Sunkissed Illuminating Sunscreen on the other hand does the same and can be used as a makeup base, all fragrance free, light on the skin and is not sticky. It also comes in very Filipino palettes, to make sure they could go with different skin tones, safe for use every day.

Dr. Lyien Ho also uses it and says sunscreen should be non negotiable. Blocking UVA and UVB rays would prevent damage to skin cells and lessen aging. You need to use something that blocks both. The Barefaced variants have SPF 50 and has a broad spectrum to prevent pre mature aging. Applying it every 2 hours is good, so does your ears, lips, even indoors."

Arianne Recella and Eleanor Roma are the founders of this brand and mentioned who happy they are how people took time to celebrate with them. They also mentioned how this is a milestone, showing how making a business with her friend proved to be successful, even if most folks discouraged them from doing it. FRONTROW founders RS Francisco and Sam Verzosa has yet to issue statements about it because their community remains nervous for their premier selling products that have lead the market for over 15 years.

They were there to celebrate the opening of this newly spruced up branch, and by the looks of it, they've made it super nice. It's got clean interiors, pastel colors, ample space for consultations and procedures. It'll be so convenient to take care of yourself when you're here.

Experts Explain Advancements in Exosome Use: ExoDerm by Facial Care Centre

It's been a while since I've gone out for a little self care and pampering. But before that, I heard that there's a lot of development about using exosomes for treatments. Initially, I saw them using it at Svenson for NexoHair, a treatment made for hair loss, alopecia and the likes, but this time, they're taking it in even better applications specifically for skin and call it, ExoDerm. It can take effect somewhere between 1 to 5 days, and its purpose is to revamp the activity of your cells. When you are younger, you didn't have melasma right? Of course we get that through aging, but at the cellular level we need energy for it. We had anti oxidants to counteract pollution, UV rays, your lifestyle, nutrition and hormonal things. As we age, we're not able to regulate that as well. These stressors will affect the mitochondria, which brings you less energy, less collagen produced, and you'll have laxity and melasma. This happens when machines get old, then it makes it dry, because it falls and can't retain moisture. Like your cellphones, it needs updating, same concept goes with exosomes. It sends growth factors, genetic materials to revamp the skin. It makes your current skin behave younger, like when you're 36, it could act as 28 or even younger."

Dr. Young Seob Lee adds "In our next projects with our research in Europe, we are targeting post menopausal applications of exosomes, to prevent many uncomfortable issues with the female form. Initially we held research about its efficacy, and we have determined it to be quite good. And we might not just be applying this to post menopausal but post partum as well to prevent issues there. In the Philippines, we might have this soon."

The core technology that they are using is now being done for different applications. Their process is different and not derived through stem cells. The vesicle that enables delivery of needed products for skin/hair is the great thing about this and the different things they can do is promising. It's developed enough to do pathways that would benefit different kinds of treatment and it is already proven in the products they've come out with. They've seen it happen to more than a thousand patients in the Philippines alone, and numbers on a global scale would be a lot bigger. The customization they could do would be good for a lot of people.

It was a fine afternoon to head onto Angeles Pampanga to celebrate with Beautéderm to mark the 1st year of their headquarters. Aside from that, it was also the start of the Lunar Year and Sam Milby's renewal of contract with the beauty brand. It was hosted by Beautéderm CEO Ms. Rhea Tan, and she didn't just want it to be just a party, but a moment to get to know each other. This was amongst her celebrity endorsers, the traditional and online media.

After warmly welcoming us all at her 7 storey building, she let us take refuge at one of the rooms to talk more amongst ourselves and the folks at Beaute Beanery (their house coffee shop). They had a variety of food and drinks in the joint, and it was nice to have them at the first stop. This same place also has their other brands BlancPro, BeauteHaus and A-List Avenue. Then we went to the top floor where we got to meet several of their endorsers like Carlo Aquino, DJ Jhaiho, Ms. Sylvia Sanchez, Alma Concepcion, Sunshine Garcia-Castro, Darla Sauler, Kimson Tan, the very generous Patricia Tumulak, Gillian Vicencio and the good looking Sam Milby. 

 Instead of the usual interviews, they had us play a lot of games so we got to chat and react like we didn't have walls between us. It broke the ice, and got us laughing because things weren't so serious anymore. The mood was fun and festive, and I think that's exactly what Ms. Rei wanted to happen that day. 

Though of course, we were there for work. The fancy building, the posh corners of it had some of us wonder, how was she able to become a very successful entrepreneur after all these years? Ms. Rhea said "I've been asked that question a lot of times, but really, THERE IS NO SECRET. All these things, the things I have, are all because of hard work. This event is just something we just had to do, and the overwhelming love and support you've shown by going here from Manila, that's so sweet, and later I'll be seeing some of you who will be staying. Welcome to the Beautederm Headquarters in Angeles City, we will be celebrating Chinese New Year and the first anniversary of this building. This has been built with strength, courage and love. It's really nice to look back on how we were able to make this all come true. From planning, construction and interior design, this serves as an inspiration that WE CAN ALL DO IT. You should always go for it. But just a small flex, it's so good to feel that you have your own building. Let's celebrate this moment, and the people behind it. Because of them, our consumers, our media friends, our employees, our endorsers, my franchisees, you made it all happen and I hope you value that. The year of the Wood Dragon symbolizes strength, success, and social impact. Do the things you love with strength, and make an impact. Ever wondered how KPOP Icon Sandara Park always looks fresh and radiant? It's a mystery, but for Sandara it's actually quite simple to look this good and feel great, all at 39 years old!

Sandy is known all over Korea as someone who enjoys small portions. She takes time to enjoy every bite, and this makes it possible to enjoy even more dishes without getting full or gain weight. Contrary to purists, she actually enjoys beer but opts for those that are low calorie instead. Those smart choices actually pay off.

Dara also works out. If you remember, she really enjoys the dance routines they had in 2NE1 because it was fast and great for partying. YG also had them in different cardio workouts and boxing too. Men Should Take Skincare Seriously

Staying indoors these past few years must have been giving everyone an urge to go out in the sun for rest and recreation. Thing is, it's not just vitamin D that you're getting when exposed to the sun. There's Ultraviolet Rays that can cause skin aging, eye damage, sun burns, even skin cancer on worst cases. In the Philippines, there's a macho notion that skincare are for sissies, but once people age and become a prune, it suddenly becomes a huge issue (when it's too late).

Skin care is essential. It doesn't take a genius to know that men have thicker, oilier skin and needs the same attention as women do (or maybe even more). When I started doing grooming sessions, I had three rules to follow. That's to moisturize, moisturize, moisturize. I slowly discovered other things that would benefit my skin and over the years and started to test with other products. I've learned to use those that are good for my skin type, which I'm sure not a lot of guys have time to do. Grooming and skincare retailers like Doppkit takes the guesswork out of the equation.

The Salt & Stone Sunscreen Lotion has SPF 30. It's not too oily and disappears after a few seconds of application. It doesn't have a strong scent which is good in my books because I'm a bit sensitive when it comes to some fragrances, and this is au naturelle.

This one is Triumph & Disaster's Ritual Face Cleanser. It's a bit on a watery gel side and smells a bit minty. Safe for use daily, I'd recommend you wash your face with it in the morning before you go out for an event or work. You'll feel fresh without it drying your skin, something that some harsh soaps do. Make sure you rinse thoroughly to make sure you don't have residue on the side of the nose because that has become a problem area for some.

The Groomed Man Co.'s Smooth Operator Face Moisturiser. This is a bit thick for my liking and I'd be more fond of water based ones than this. The weather in Manila is a bit too humid, and this might be a bit too much oily skin. Although it left a matte finish, it was a bit on the sticky side. If you are on the mixed or oily skin type, I wouldn't recommend this. If you have dry skin, this would be apt for that.

The Anthony Facial Scrub was something pretty new to me. With scrubs usually containing something abrasive, this tops the fancy ones as it contains Bora Bora White Sand. It helps remove dead skin cells by exfoliating when you rub it gently on your skin. It smells citrusy, reminds me of oranges and apricots but it has Aloe Vera, Algae and Chamomile. It wasn't floral at all, which is good in my books. It's a bit sweet too, I would recommend this to be used at night when you have to clean up before you sleep.

If I'd have something to hoard from their store, it would be the Salt & Stone Deodorant Naturel. I love the combination of Eucalyptus and Cedar wood. It doesn't sting, very low profile, but so manly smelling. It's woodsy, gives you a boost of morale and confidence that you can take on anything when you're out going to work or for a date.

I've seen the difference of doing it earlier and not when lines, wrinkles, dark spots are already there before we take action. You need a good regimen, and it starts by choosing products that get you the results you need.
