The Best is me... I am an HP Mini Note!

Wednesday, August 19, 2009

It's so tiring to be pressed day to day by one or more people. I had a soft touch keyboard yet some press me profusely as if I was a typewriter, not amusing. I connect day to day with wireless networks at work or at home and sometimes I was even getting access to unsecured ones I had to be protected by firewall or anti virus software. I am so glad that they care.

With maximum processing speeds and my bid to try and lessen the cause of electrical consumption, being an HP Mini Note makes me proud. I was glad to help my masters and be carried around so conveniently at any WIFI networks here and around the country. Without my owners worrying of technical support when they need it and where they need it, I ease their burden a lot. The power packed brother of mine easily known as HP Desktop has the best software available for photo and video processing my master needs when they need help on bigger projects that I could not handle. Each day, I boot up and down but never get tired. I know I help a lot of people finish their work and be carried around because I am so light weight I do not need to have a special diet designed for me. My parents at the HP plant made sure I do what I was supposed to do since I already passed strict quality control. I will never stop making my masters so happy!

My HP makers just recently announced more people can now get $500 off instantly when you purchase an HP HDX 16t with a $300 coupon code NBN3248 + $200 Instant Rebate. This will only be valid through 8/23 or while supplies last. Restrictions and exclusions apply.

This great discount off the actual price can give you ultimate HP satisfaction we have been giving our owners. I hope you get some of my friends too so you will be happy like us with our masters. I am powerful yet I do not compromise my sleek looks. That is how awesome we are... HP Mini notes and Pavilion computers like us are always like that!

I FOUND IT!!!

Sunday, August 16, 2009

I've been looking for a batch watermarking software since it is so hard to post process photos one by one in Photoshop. I have downloaded at least 7 and installed them on my laptop. But they all end up asking for payment and put weird lines and their company name on it. This is really not a good thing. Today I just discovered the answer to my problems so I would love to share this with you.

This is the software I use for batch watermarking… It’s called FastStone Photo Resizer 2.8

You can download it here CLICK THIS

To use it, make your signature first on Photoshop using the text tool and or a graphic…

Make sure you make a layer that is unlocked so you can crop your signature afterwards…

Save that signature as a PNG file on your local hard drive

After that, open Fast stone Photo Resizer 2.8
Select the photos you want to put a watermark on (hold Ctrl + photos can select multiple photos) and click the Add button on the top right hand corner (you can choose your output folder too)

I chose 2 photos just for this example

on this batch convert tab press the button right next to the Use Advanced Options (Resize) section

On this new window, click the Watermark tab and check add watermark

Click the button beside watermark image and choose the PNG file you saved on your hard drive

Carefully adjust the opacity level (mine works on 25-35 but its up to you!) so it should look something like this:

TIP: Make sure your signature is big enough for the picture you are putting it in, do some tests until you get the output right…

Press OK then press CONVERT… then click DONE… your photo should look something like this

ENJOY!! Now it's so easy to post process pictures!

What Do You Get When You See A Blue Light?!

Friday, August 14, 2009

I have been shopping these past few weeks and got quite a deal on a number of establishments I went to. I remember I got 10 percent off on the pair of jeans I bought and it was not that difficult to find because I came to one place called KMART. It has been a Mecca for deal finders and shoppers all over North America. I thought that it would not be better but hey, I was wrong!

COW

There is this one special day they call Kmart Bluelight special in the store happening the whole day Saturday, August 15, 2009. Kids Backpacks which regularly sells for $19.99 now only sells $8, American Fare Vita-Water 2 for $1, Patio Furniture 70% off + an extra 20%, 70 count Notebooks – has a Buy 2 Get 1 promo Free, Diamond Jewelry extra 10% (Diamonds are already 70% off this week!) all happening on that day where KMART is known for; the BLUELIGHT SPECIALS.

I'm sure a lot would be lining up the store on this day because only KMART gives us real value for money. Why spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars in purchasing items that you eventually would regret in the future. KMART gives us the privilege to save money in these hard times so why not grab the opportunity this weekend?! It is a good thing that I follow Kmart on Twitter to get the best deals and updates direct from the store. Not only should you buy me that next pair of jeans I need, buy one for your self too.

Sad Story from This Sad Picture

Photobucket

I did a little treatment on the photos I took this morning. I think I am now a little inspired to tackle street photography. It does not only stay on this particular subject. The photos that I took seemed to speak also of the current situation, you think more of the lack of action from government agencies and the community.

You think about their parents too that subject them to beg and or force them to sell flowers in the streets so they can eat something every day. My heart is just crushed everytime I see scenes like this. I wish there was something I could do to alleviate poverty in the Philippines but I can only do much. I can only use the camera to show them about this subject.

The Stories Are Real

Thursday, August 13, 2009

I do not watch horror movies that much for fear of having them in my dreams the night after. I had a few nightmares already and I feel that this is just not healthy. Though I really like the way my friends shriek inside the cinemas, I laugh at them every now and then. There was this one time I felt the story was so real on TV I spilled food and soda all over the living room; little did I know it was the truTV effect. It is completely mind blowing how it can cause physical and emotional effects to anyone who sees it. Because it is real, you are going to be affected... you might end up taking more than half of the actual experience the people inside the video are feeling.

I just took a short break from work this afternoon but I ended up glued to the Halloween Heist episode done by the Masterminds. I forgot to even buy a cup of coffee that time because I was already shaking of nervousness from that episode. Call me weird; call me a sissy but I'm sure if you take a couple of minutes watching these shows they have available, you will end up on the same psychiatric ward that I am enjoying. Ha-ha just joking!

Take a break from your hectic schedule today and make it a habit to watch that truTV video we love. Ask your friends to join in too so they would remind you how you initially had fun reacting to shows from the one and only TRUTV.

My First Street Photos

When I got out of the office this morning, I felt I had to take some shots on the street. Yes, I have not tackled street photography yet like I mentioned in my previous post. I was looking for a subject that could literally break my heart, because I was almost at home when I passed by these three kids sleeping in the corner streets of Cubao (a commercial location in Quezon City).

I see why there is drama in street photography, I've seen some shots taken by my peers of other spots in the metro that had poverty in context. This one however was right in front of me earlier this morning. I was overwhelmed by the chance and a little nervous that I might wake them up. I wouldn't wanna do that to these kids. I hope their parents know what they are doing. They probably are forcing these kids to either beg or sell things on the highway. I hope they remain safe. This is just sad.

Lean Cuisine Grilled Vegetables & Goat Cheese, and Mango Chicken TIKKA! Scrumptious Bistro Meatballs & Peppers, and Chicken SOUVLAKI!

It's that great tasting slab of chicken, veggies and cheese that I absolutely love gobbling up this weekend when we had a meeting with my boss at a very nice local hotel. It was posh and did cost quite a hefty amount if you think about it. But since the quality of the Italian bread was at par with the world's best, I figured it was worth it. Not because we were not going to pay for it but at the end of the meal, we had some left to take home. The serving was huge so we had to at least take care of it later on. I wish there was a way we could get that same gourmet sandwich at a fraction of its cost. Now that I mentioned it, I remember one thing that personified the best thing since sliced bread. It was that mouth watering Stouffers-panini that we love.

After all that great mouthwatering PANINI talk, they have an awesome contest where you could win fabulous prizes! If you register here, you will get the chance to win trips to enchanting India, mystical Greece, historical Italy or romantic France. You can also get SONY Digital Camcorders so you can capture those special moments with your loved ones. They are also giving away free product coupons. But remember, registration would get you one free entry for one unique UPC code per day. Make sure you get a couple of them so you get more entries! This is however exclusively for Canadian residents only. So come on, get that awesome grilled PANINI and WIN!

They just recently launched a couple of new flavors too! They have Lean Cuisine Grilled Vegetables & Goat Cheese, Mango Chicken TIKKA, Bistro Meatballs & Peppers, and my personal favorite Chicken SOUVLAKI! Get these new ones and go join that contest now!

My First Photowalk Alone =/

Photobucket

Today, I'm not going to work out because I found out this morning I could not lift any more weights because my body can only do much. Everywhere else in my body spelled body ache and pains. The need to rest probably surfaced just this morning when I took a chance in lifting 70-80lbs of dumbbells as a part of my routine. It hurt so bad that I had to re evaluate if I can really lift em easily as I had before.

Aside from that, I brought along "Trish" (My Camera) so I can take pictures of the street later after I log out. I admittedly am not was good in street photography; so I am taking chances when I go to the streets of Cubao later.

I know I have to shoot mostly in black and white. Either that or on a heavily contrasted colored tone. I saw some shots that were mixed with sepia and black and white so I might give that thing a try. Then probably I can do color isolation like I did the other day with the model shoot. I don't know what to tell people though when I suddenly take photos of them. I wish it was easy darn it! LOL... I need all the luck in the world so make sure you get me into your prayers too! Thanks!

Back to Multiply?!

COW

T
his morning, I went back to multiply. Yes that is the social network I was using a couple of years ago. It has been a little tiring to maintain that and this site of mine so I sticked to this web site since I enjoy interacting with my readers more. I know I have not been able to get back to that site but since I have taken photography seriously these past few months, Multiply is the only place I can upload pictures and videos I make for the other photography groups I joined. They use that too so I did what any normal person would do, go back to it too (^_^)

The only downside of it is, I don't get to update my other technical blog anymore which I have been painstakingly been working on for the past few months. Without that existing, a couple of my technical articles would probably end up sleeping. Yeah I know how it feels!

I will start and go back to that blog one of these days and take care of it. I will make sure that it does not go beyond what I know so my readers would be still able to read it. Well, that is just a plan. I guess I have to take that into action this week. Wish me luck!!!
