Some Great Shows at ANC!

The 24 hour news cable channel of ABS CBN is coming up with fresh shows for the discriminating viewers of ANC. I'm part of that bunch; so what better way to start the second half of the year but bringing in Senior Anchor David Celdran on a new season for his show "View from the Top" and noted lawyer Atty. Adel Tamano in a new program called the "Tamano Perspective".

Executive Lifestyle news specifically targeted towards men are but of scarcity in this side of the world and this particular program would definitely put a break to that. Interviews from renowned leaders and icons of their industry will be shown together with the things that they do on off days. Telling all what they actually do on their free time would bring something unconventional and interesting to the table... something definitely worthy to talk about.

David Celdran years ago also hosted famed "Battle of the Brains" (which in my books is the best game show of all time!) also hosts programs such as "Executive Class" and currently the Editor in Chief of VAULT the country's leading lifestyle magazine for men. He wasn't available at that time because of travel commitments in Europe for pegs on his show. View from the Top will be shown on Monday, that's July 11, 2011 at 9:30 P.M.

Meanwhile, Atty. Adel Tamano on his news and current affairs show the "Tamano Perspective" will give people his dose and understanding of the weeks latest news. His analysis of what happened during the week would give his viewers a better take on what really transpired and leave them better informed than if they probably just listened to it from other news programs. He'll carefully explain in lay man's terms how it is going to affect normal Filipinos like you and I. I had the chance to ask a question about what he didn't like about PNOY and what he would do to improve or help him... First thing that came into his mind was about PNOY's smoking habits. He wanted him to stop and be a role model to the youth today. With his experience as a Lawyer, Educator and Advocate I'm sure he won't be encountering any problems doing just that come July 14, 2011 (that's on Thursday!) at 7 P.M. So weather it's intrigues, current events and whatnot he's ready for anything... so watch it on ANC this week!

I DARE YOU Premiers July 11 on ABSCBN!

When someone asks you to do something difficult in exchange for something that would be sent to the needy would you do it??? This is the question that they wanted to answer come Monday as ABS-CBN News and Current Affairs and TV Entertainment Group present this awesome original show called I DARE YOU which stars the lovely Iya Villania, hunky Jericho Rosales and well loved ace comedienne Melai Cantiveros. I was there when they held a press conference for the show and I was really excited for them!

You probably would ask what this show is all about... I know I did and I got a very good answer from them. The thing is, it's all about human nature. The good that is residing in Filipinos and they wanted to capture the drama on how someone of high stature could go all the way just so theses ordinary people who barely can eat 3 times a day something so they can survive. The challenges may not be tough for you and me but just imagine these stars who never even had the times in their lives to live like we do. They have all the comforts in the world and bringing them in to the most depressed and poverty stricken areas is the last thing that you would actually want to see them in. ABSCBN does that and films it for everyone to see, Jericho Rosales even went out of his way to help the celebrities sometimes... Iya and Melai Cantiveros attested to that!

On their first taping day; imagine living on a neighborhood that are all in stilts. They didn't buy a single wood frame for their house... they just wait for something to float into shore. You can't even think of stepping on some of their floors because if you miss it you'll fall into the water which contains something we'll never even want to talk about here. Melai realizes that she has been blessed even before she got her fame. She thought she was already poor but seeing those people in that condition, she really thought that she was really blessed!

I Dare You

University of the East - PEP Rally 2011

You probably all know that I live and bleed RED. I'm a warrior by birth and by right. My folks graduated in UE and so did I. Dad was a former Red Warrior and Red Shirt, Mom taught classes when high school was still around that era. I was blessed to have the chance to be one of the members of the Red Tribe. It's a community where Alumni, Students and Faculty from all over the world meet. I realize that we might not have the actual number to overwhelm other UAAP counterparts, but we have something good going on. We have HEART, that WARRIOR SPIRIT carries us on... even on days when everybody else was losing hope we still stuck it out with the Red Warriors. You can count on that!

Proud as we are; we try our best to seek and help those lost souls who often just sits quietly in the bylines and couldn't root for our varsity teams because they felt alone, felt they were too old and out of place among the sea of students who frequent the stands. We never knew we could be this big and still remain intimate. Our main goal is to have the whole crowd be called the Red Tribe. I'm glad the pioneers still have the time and spunk to continue what we are doing until now. It's one of the proudest things I felt as a Warrior, I felt more of that when I went to the University of the East PEP Rally in the Recto Campus.

The University of the East Fencing team did not just bring prestige to our school, but the entire country! The Southeast Asian Games was a cinch for them!

It was nice to see we have a Juniors Volleyball Team, we need to start training these athletes early in order to get more exposure in these games.

I haven't been seeing their games because of lack of information on their schedules + my schedule sucks. I'm sure these guys would give the other schools one heck of a fight like any Red Warrior team would do. Good luck on your games!

Look at the crowd just before the things started, this is 9AM and it was pretty early for me. I came from graveyard work but went from Eastwood to Recto (and stay awake!) just to get to this PEP Rally. I got to see the other teams there as well.

Just look at these kids. They are called the UE KID WARRIORS. They will surely get to be better basketball players when they grow up! If we start this early I'm sure the elusive Championship would not be far behind!

Fresh from their trip they gave us a treat! The UE CHORALE has proven to be one of the best in the world by winning 2 Gold Medals in the recently concluded 2011 Harmonie Festival, Germany. We also have their Conductor and Choir Master Ms. Anna Tabita Abeleda-Piquero to thank for that! Congratulations guys and gals!

Of course! How can we forget THE UE RED WARRIORS MEN'S BASKETBALL TEAM! I'm impressed with the lineup even though other schools would just shrug us off thinking they can win just because of their imports LOL! We are staying ALL FILIPINO this season and not to discount VERY GOODLOOKING! Our team will be one hell of a great team to beat when the games commence. I am so proud that former WARRIOR and Professional Defense Minister Jerry Codiñera will lead the whole team and the tribe to get that Championship we all wish for!

Just with the actual formation of the team, I congratulate everyone who is behind this! The fight maybe tough but I'm sure we'll win this no matter what!

Here are some of the Warriors you need to take note of!

Our Team Captain Paul Christian C. Zamar will use his experience and skills to beat tough opponents this season! (Asahan ka ng Red Tribe ah! Hehehehe!) He got lots of SHREIKS from the female students... I'm not surprised though! Ha-ha!

This guy is Shej Roi D. Sumang. He's THE GUY to watch out for. His game is "SUPERIOR" and we may be owing a lot of our wins on his shoulders. He's quiet but he'll explode in the court when you least expect it. He was from Letran in high school. I'm rooting for him this season. We only have 2 tall guys and we'll work them like a horse so these key players will have to spend more time making points and equalizing the floor come game time. He's one tough cookie! Adrian Santos needs to step up as always too.

This guy looks like our glamor boy for this season (remember Xian Lim??). I know, the other schools must have run out of looks by now LOL! He's Nikko Montelibano, a very promising 6ft2 shotblocking and rebounding master that we recruited from RTU. He's one heck of a player! Yes, I heard screams from the girls too!


Like an angel coming down from heaven, his aura was really beaming. Everyone was a little or more starstruck at the sight of our Coach Jerry Codiñera. It's my first time to see him in the flesh! So did a lot of other people from UE. We have a lot of expectations but just do your best Coach! Bring out that Warrior Heart in each of our games!

Thank you to University of the East Recto people for letting me in even if I'm an alumni from UE Caloocan. Hope I won't have hitches next time! Thank you also to Team Manager Executive Director Jesus T. Tanchanco Sr. who gave a small talk with the UE RED TRIBE! Please do expect us in games wherever, whenever!

Stylish, Original, Awesome URBANEARS!

I am lucky. That is one statement I'm not going to just throw around everyday because I've seen something so great last Friday. In my quest to find the finest things in life... this comes and COMPLETELY takes me off my feet. I have an IPAD2 and didn't have earphones for it. The acoustics... it pounds without breaking up every time there is base presence on the track. It sounds smooth... as soon as you close your eyes and listen to it you feel the music so much more! I love how it keeps you isolated from the outside world and the ingenious ear plugs that you can even switch sizes if you need to. That is one thing you won't see on usual ear devices... as if one size would actually fit all! LOL!




Mr Howard Po, Marketing Manager Digital Walker is going to make sure that the latest designs from Sweden would arrive in the Philippines. We all wished for the perfect life. Maybe to get a wife who would always be there for you, a kid who would cheer you up when you get back from the office... a family you can call your own. Health is one of the most important things you can give them; and if your family members do not get sick, you wouldn't have to spend a single dime for hospitalization. Your funds will be intact and you get to enjoy life as it is. There are some instances though that no matter what you do in order to keep your family safe; they would still encounter problems in health. I heard of cases where normal prescription medicine even have harmful side effects; when you just wanted to cure a simple case all along. By far, this has been her sexiest one yet! I love the rhythm, I love how it can be introduced to other mixes and genres like Pop, Dance, Synthpop, Electropop, Europop, House or Trance!
