OBAMA MANIA in Manila!

Tuesday, January 20, 2009

Everybody's excited in Manila for the Inauguration of the US President Barack Obama. I have followed his journey since the Democratic convention and have seen remarkable differences on what he's doing, where he is, and what he plans to do next. The biggest hurdle perhaps is still the US Economic crisis which he needs to get started on DAY 1.

More that 2 million will attend the inauguration of the first ever Black US president. A star studded cast of hundreds of celebrities were said to be following the inauguration ceremonies in order to be included in the event. Oprah will lead among supporters of Barack and our own Charice will be singing God Bless America in one of the dinners he's hosting. David Foster arranged this rendition so it really did come to merge with Cha's voice. It was really nice to see her there.

The city of Manila has been relatively peaceful and less crowded this evening because most have stayed within their homes watching images like these unfold.

Ted Murphy on Twitter

I've seen Ted Murphy a couple of times in the pages of his corporate websites and IZEA. I was asking my self also if he would actually have the finances of getting me into the US so I could ride with other web masters to the Manta Ray Ride he was bragging about on his site. I would probably enjoy that you know!

As popular as my site seems its still not as significant as what Ted's followers could hope for. I don't really have that much groupies that I could have wanted in a snap. Aside from that, I kinda shy away from things that would be detrimental to both my online and real life persona. You know how it works in cyberspace.

In the efforts of getting more people acquainted in the community, Ted Murphy just launched his profile on TWITTER and is urging everyone to go on the site, ask questions and get the answers you need. I hope some way, some day, I get to see him too. To see celebrities and CEO's of major corporations and have them answer one liners for you assures that they stay human. Its ted on twitter so don't forget that!

MOOOOSIC REVIEWS: Almost by Tamia

Geeze, I've been mesmerized once again by Tamia. From her hit Officially Missing You to this one that discusses an ALMOST type of relationship. If a friendship or closeness could have worked out for you, then this is one thing that you should not miss to hear.

I like her so much, I plan to download this video and have it on my Play Station Portable. I've been having problems with it lately not playing the Beyonce songs I got from youtube. What's weird is that I have it playing fine in my laptop but not here. Maybe one of these days I'll try and find a better converter.

Well, if you plan to sit down and listen to sumthing while sippin a cup of tea I suggest you listen to this one because it will surely get you mushy. ^_^

Calling Costs A Lot!

Monday, January 19, 2009

I've been trying to call my cousin in the Canada and Japan helplessly because I was trying to fix matters concerning money sent over some banks in the Philippines. I was using the services of local cellular phone companies that charged me a couple thousand of pesos in order to get a decent conversation going. It was doubly hard if they were unavailable because they still charged me the same rates.

I was trying to get a cheaper deal than the usual because discounted rates here were still costing a lot compared to what I could have had when I was in the US. Good thing there are a couple of online shops that transact calling cards that can work here and wherever I may be elsewhere in the world. Now for a few cents, I can call Canada, the US and other countries. I think 23.9 cents which the site http://www.getmecallingcards.com offers is the best one I could find. Imagine that... the rates are better! Where else should we get reasonable prices at this side of the globe? I guess I'll have to tell my friends too because it even did beat the rates of Philippine Phone Cards available at local telecommunication companies. Now its going to be easier to call from 153 countries around the world. Need I say more? We all have choices, but there never will be a better deal than this phone card company that knows how things could get easier for you.
