Wipro Acquires Philippines S Brands Consumer Care Inc.

Companies are getting bigger by the minute and that's including the folks from WIPRO and consumer brand S Brands Consumer Care Incorporated, makers of Keratin Plus, AlcoPlus and their affiliated products (Empress Shampoo, Grips Ignite Body Sprays, DEOPlus deodorants, Fiona Cologne and more!).

The event was attended by their executives Dwarakanath Ayengar, Arun Giridhar, Prabhat Garg, Maansi Gagroo, Amit Dawn, Nagender Arya, Dick Sy Ong, Sharon Yu Ong, Teodorico Jimenez, Romel Hipolito and Rosario Aquino.

Mr. Dick Sy Ong of S Brands says "S Brands is growing and Wipro has the record to get that going. I see their leadership, and see the heart, we believe in the same thing. Then they signed the pact in front of the media, answered questions about the benefits of having S Brands becoming part of Wipro and vice versa. S Brands has local influence, they also have a good presence in the Philippines and will take advantage of bringing in what they have and do the same for the hygiene category, a strong market in the Philippines.

They also said the Philippines is the 4th largest market in Asia and is a very young and bullish market. S Brands also saw their culture, R&D and they just clicked. Being in the consumer care business, they have similar values, sort of aligned. They have the passion and way of working. Product development will be easy, they would work side by side to grow, which means more products for Filipino consumers. Retail partners and distributors can expect a rapid growth rate, and they will be happy about the experience they will get. They will have more exposure for the international markets. It will benefit all. 

They are also delving into AI, and since they are also in the tech business, they will adapt and use it for their advantage. Marketing, campaigns, all will be done by that in the future. People will also be trained, make their work enhanced, included in the roadmap they designed with consumer analysis and social media work.

10 Years Old but Xtraordinary Kryzl: She's Born to Shine!

It's a bit of a wonder how a 10 year old would achieve so much in a short span of time. Imagine being a CEO and having your own concert at the Samsung Hall in BGC. She celebrated her birthday here and called it "Xtraordinary Kryzl: Born to Shine", a music filled event with her family, loved ones and some of the country's brightest stars all on stage. Mind you, she filled the 1000 seat venue and performed with so much gusto, and launched 10 songs that speak about hope, kindness and positivity. She had folks sing along later in the evening, and it started so much fun! 

Dianne Medina hosted the show and the celebrant went out with a bang singing the Purple Hearts Jingle, No Rush, Crush On You. She also did Opo Thank You Po, Hugs Breathe Smile, Perfect Summer , Hearts in Bloom and Birthday Love. She danced with the folks from GAU Entertainment, sang along with Josh Ford and Kira Balinger, the bubbly Queenay Mercado, Rachel Ann Pegaso, The Jorge Siblings, It's Showtime's Jhong Hilario and daughter Sarina, plus her whole family to sing with her too.

Kryzl also shared her blessings with a few organizations like Purple Hearts Foundation, Kanlungan Ni Maria,. God's Little Angels, Animal Kingdom Foundation and a whole lot more. They invited speakers from the organizations too so they could speak to people, giving them a platform as well so others could help. She also had a few people from the internet and entertainment industry drop by like Ms. Anna Magkawas, Pauline Causarin, MJ Marfori, Julius and Tintin Babao, and Viy Cortez. She also gave away surprises from LuxeKids, DayLi, SkinVibe and her family. People had so much fun in the event. This is just the start of what she and her family plans to do in the coming years.

PUREGOLD Cinepanalo Does New "Panorama Shorts"

Another year, another PUREGOLD CinePanalo Film Festival. Yes, the much awaited venue to showcase Filipino film making genius has released the actual dates, and a new category called "Panorama Shorts" specifically for those finished films that are not more than 20 minutes, all themes and genres included. 

The dates mentioned was September 23 to October 4 (for the festival). Entries will only be accepted until August 15 at 11:59 pm. This will only be for finished films though because there will be no production grant for the CPFF section, which is something audiences should look forward to. Puregold CinePanalo will also award the winning film a whopping PHP 100.000, and you can't beat that!
