Bing Dio Salon

Thursday, December 19, 2013

For those who've read my post about BND Hair Gallery ages ago, you know I've entrusted my hair to Cher Nogara - her family has been in this industry for years; and I must say she's the only person who's done what I wished for in in style. I get tons of complements afterwards and credit them for making me look this good.

I'm so ecstatic to make changes in my hair after my long stint in the corporate world. That part always held me down. So I went in and asked to get my hair color changed. A few words, and she already knew what I wanted. See, salon owners don't usually have that connection with their clients and they on the other hand treat you like their own. I felt I was with friends, or family. They talk to you and feel right at home.

The process of bleaching isn't easy especially when your hair is jet black like mine (well all Pinoys are like that right?). It would take a couple of rounds to make your hair lighter and yes, I must admit it is not a process that would be for everyone. They on the other hand already knew what to do and it wasn't difficult for them at all. They must have done this a ton of times and it really shows.

It is little painful but you just have to make sure you have ventilation or air conditioning up so it would be bearable. If this were ordinary color, it would be a cinch for them but I have plans for my hair... They knew how to exactly do it. I was trying to get it to platinum blonde or anything close to it but as I said it is a process. I might need to go back next week to get everything done. As for now, it's already in Ash Blonde.

And I've never felt so glad Cher took care of me like she's done this a hundred times. I already look a lot lighter and it complemented my skin. She told me to come back next week to finish it off even if I'm already looking good with this.

They are located at 2/F Pentagrand building #58 Mother Ignacia Ave., Quezon City. It's almost right in front of St. Mary's College Quezon City. Salon opens at 10am and closes around 7PM. Just go up the stairs and get your hair did like mine. When you feel your salon only does hair, try to visit them and get your own Bing Dio Salon Moment. I already had mine. :)

Silent Auction In Trinoma

Wednesday, December 18, 2013

There is joy in giving. With the recent plight of our countrymen in the Visayas region, both whom have been victims of the huge earthquake in Bohol; and typhoon Yolanda who's ravaged several provinces in that area, Ayala Malls wanted to give more to rebuild their homes and community.

Up for grabs are items from the best fashion and beauty brands and much more. This will be held on December 19, 2013 - thats this Thursday 5PM at the 4th Floor Cinema Lobby in TriNoma, EDSA corner North Avenue, Quezon City.

Rowena Tomeldan of Ayala Malls, Thelma San Juan of PDI and Citcit Sioson of Look Magazine.

This event is brought to you by AYALA Malls, in cooperation with Look Magazine, Inquirer Lifestyle and AYALA Foundation.

I'll be there too, so I hope yo see you on Thursday! :)

Update: I'm here now in the auction and am really excited about the items I did bid on.. Hope to win some of them! :)

I would have bid on those Sebago shoes but it's gonna be a tight fit at size 10.

This Apple TV is also a steal at 2,495, hope no one bids over my price.

This shirt and pants is a little procey for me but since it is for charity, who cares right?

A quartet of Philippine Madrigal Singers were there too to sing lovely Christmas Songs during the launch!

Hurry shoppers! You gotta run to trinoma because this will only last until December 22! Just proceed to the Cinema Lobby right beside the carousel.

Upscale Japanese Dining at WAFU Greenhills

It was the first time I've stepped into this store and yes, completely illogical to see something this beautiful as a Japanese restaurant. It's interiors and artwork were inexplicably exquisite; and the people there told me it was designed by the Chef's wife. Mind boggling? Yes. But it was also something that everyone felt was so apt with this place. It made it look expensive when prices of the food were reasonable. Words can't be enough, so I'll show you what I'm talking about.

That's a full Sushi and a full Sake Bar.

Insane right? Well, that's not the end of it because we're here to try out their Teppanyaki menu on the second floor. The interiors, still as impressive as the ground floor.

Forever: The Jason Francisco - Melissa Cantiveros Nuptials

Sunday, December 15, 2013

Hello people! :) It's time!

I was invited a few weeks ago to a very special event. It's the wedding of Jason Francisco and Melissa Cantiveros. I love these two and you probably know I've been covering them on fashion shows, movies and events for a long time. For us, the people reading this post right now... it's but a fantasy for us to see them end up together... and yes this has been fulfilled.

I went to General Santos City in a heartbeat by booking a flight a few days after. I've never been to this place before. I didn't think about the events that I've cancelled, or the tons of backlogs I have in this blog... I just felt I had to be there. I felt if I missed this, I'll be getting tons of hate from Melason fans all over the world LOL (jowk).. but really, I just wanted to go there because I consider them my friends. It was like a special day for them and I didn't want to be second guessing at home and make nganga. People were asking me if they paid for my fare and hotel, I politely said no... I just felt, I just got to be there because I love these two. Okay, enough of the drama and let's go back to business. I know you guys are waiting for this!

The blow by blow accounts I made on twitter by the way were all true, but I'd be able to tell the stories with photos now. It's time!

It's the right time to shop! You just got your hard earned money from the bank and thinking of what to buy for your man or woman? Then this is it. HUMAN just got generous and set up shop for the next HUMAN WEEKEND FAIR at Glorietta 4 and we're here live blogging from the shop. Imagine, a whopping 20% OFF on all items (except accessories and pants below 899 since that's discounted already) and people are really taking advantage of it. Even models and celebrities are here today! Case in point:

They've got these nifty shirts from the GENES and STREET FASHION line all marked down just for two days!

They've also got SKINNY, SLIM, STRAIGHT and RELAX cut jeans in different colors. Ladies would love em skinnies for sure!

These shoes were made even better because some were less than a thousand bucks! I already bought those high cut gray velcrow strapped shoes! :)

The bags were all nice. I was like in a candy store. Loved the knapsacks and messenger bags for men. There are also a few bags for women that would be perfect for my Mom and Sister.

These are some of the things I plan to hoard because it costs only 299! You'll never find branded wallets like these anywhere! If you are like me who LOVE the long wallets with card slots on them, they also have that inside the store.

If it's hot and sunny outside, don't fret because they've got some of the best looking aviators and studded hats on the shelves.

PBA Philippine Cup Opening Day - ONE PBA, ONE PHILIPPINES!

The country's premier professional basketball league just got better when we witnessed it a couple of weeks ago in Araneta Coliseum. It was also the first time that the league will have opening ceremonies in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. It is after all a national thing so it is but right to see it executed in Manila, Cebu and Davao. Wish I was in Cebu at this time because the production numbers were awesome there, in Davao too. TV5 was streaming this LIVE on public TV so bless them! Now Filipinos would be able to watch the games right in front of their couches as it happens!

The PBA Board of Governors were introduced one by one. I personally know some of them from the companies that they represent.

Meralco Bolts had their muse walking to center stage, represented by Bianca Reyes and Stephanie Rowe together with their Team Captain Jared Dillinger. Talk 'N Text Tropang Texters on the other hand had Chanel Morales and Danielle Lee. Alaska Aces walked with pretty 2013 Mutya ng Davao Pia Hidalgo flanked by their Team Captain Tony Dela Cruz. Rain or Shine came in with current 2013 Mutya ng Pilipinas Asia Pacific together with glamour boy Chris Tiu and Jireh Ibanes. Air21 Express had Team Captain Asi Taulava escorting Lauren Young. Barako Bull Energy Cola had Ms. Earth 2012 Teresa Fajksova.
