The City of Marikina Goes Cashless with PayMaya

Thursday, April 08, 2021

Looks like it will be easier to pay taxes and government dues as the city of Marikina just started to roll out contactless payment in the city as they have started ties with PayMaya. This means residents of the city and those transacting with their offices can now pay for things right in the comforts of their home or anywhere as long as they are connected to the internet and use the PayMaya app. The Marikina online portal accepts credit, debit or prepaid cards and the PayMaya Wallet which can be loaded by cashing on from bank accounts or any PayMaya partners. PayMaya collaborated with the Development Bank of the Philippines and this has been welcomed by the city Mayor himself.

Marikina City Mayor Marcelino Teodoro says "With this initiative done by PayMaya and DBP, we empower our constituents with a safer way to pay for taxes. They can now also pay other fees online while in the comforts of their home. They don't have to physically go to the city hall during the pandemic. This will allow us to continue delivering critical services to our community and the public."

PayMaya Founder and CEO Orlando Vea says "Enabling the public to have digital payments is the way to go and we thank the city of Marikina for leading the way for cashless solutions in local governments. We are ready to have more people access digital financial services during this time."

There are over 60 national agencies and local government units that have had cashless solutions powered by PayMaya including budget disbursements so they get money for projects safer and faster. Aside from that, other agencies like the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Social Security System (SSS), Home Development Mutual Fund or Pag-IBIG, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Land Transportation Office (LTO), Bureau of Customs (BoC), and the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), and cities like Manila, Mandaluyong, Quezon City, Pasig, Caloocan, and Valenzuela have already adapted PayMaya payment channels. It's easy and cashless so it's also safe for everyone.

You can also pay for groceries, medicine and tons of other things using the app. You also get the chance to earn cash back in each transaction as they regularly have promos that would get you perks when you pay through QR, transfer funds, pay bills using the app. Now don't say I didn't tell you about it, go download the PayMaya app today!

Take Advantage of Your PayMaya Perks

Thursday, April 01, 2021

This is just a reminder that you have a lot of perks from PayMaya. If you haven't downloaded it yet or used it, this is a good time to do so.

Cashless is the way to go, because the last thing you need to be these days is sick because you got it from handling cash when buying things outdoors. If you need medicine, or are doing groceries, chances are, PayMaya is accepted in stores where you are buying these things from. Now if you're paying for Php 1,500 or above and use the QR feature, you can get 100 cash back. If you pay for food and things online with your PayMaya phone number, you can also get a chance to win up to Php 100 cash back. If that's not enough, if you pay your bills Php 1,500 and up via the PayMaya app, you can get Php 50 cash back and do it twice, you will get Php 100 with that like what I did this March. If you send money through the PayMaya app of Php 1,000 and up through Smart Padala, you get the chance to win Php 100,000 with their latest promo. Last but not the least, if you're buying prepaid load for your prepaid sim card, you can enjoy 5% every time you do it.

There's also donation drives, COVID efforts that you can simply access through the app so you don't have to go out anymore, easy and right at the comforts of your own home. PayMaya is doing all these to keep you safe, sane, and save a lot of money when we need to.

Don't say I didn't tell you huh!

Have You Seen Your 2020 Cashless Lifestyle Report on the Paymaya App?

Thursday, February 04, 2021

This morning was a little different, because when I opened my Paymaya app, it showed a link to information called the Paymaya 2020 Cashless Lifestyle Report. It basically summarizes all your transactions during 2020 and how you were able to get rewards each time you use the app. I took advantage of paying bills, paying for groceries, paying for food in restaurants and transferring money to other people on the Paymaya app.

My friends have been posting (AND MAJORLY FLEXING) their cashless lifestyle results and most of them only got around 500+ pesos as cashbacks on the app. So I was merely just expecting the same kind of amount too, but lo and behold, I have been blessed!

So after paying my bills, paying for food, paying for groceries and paying for medicine via the Paymaya app, I got a total of 1,625 pesos CASHBACK just because I used it. Now isn't that a sight for sore eyes?

The trick is, I always check the Paymaya Deals here https://www.paymaya.com/deals before I pay for anything, if they have a promo on a certain store or partner establishment, I use the Paymaya QR payment option to pay for things. I guess that's how I got this much cash back eh? Not only that, people have been donating through the Paymaya app for the Typhoon and Pandemic relief efforts last year. Just look at the 34 Million Pesos they raised just on the app!

The Paymaya 2020 Cashless Report also had granular items on where you spend your money. It's a really neat way of seeing how you spend your money. Now go update your Paymaya app now and click on the center banner where it says 2020 Cashless Report and see what happened in 2020 for you. I'm sure you've saved a lot if you are using the Paymaya App. I feel I did a really good job despite the pandemic, and I used it much because I was afraid COVID can be passed on paper money, hehe.

*Pats myself on the back!*

Thanks Paymaya!

Double Cashback on PayMaya til September 30

Saturday, September 26, 2020

If there's food, I'm there!

And what better way to become loaded this quarantine period but to order away your tears with fastfood and restaurant take out. It's convenient, fast, especially if it's a huge chore for you to cook at home and wash dishes. 😂

Anyway, I am the chosen one at home, the tribute, the one who buys stuff when needed. So when I do go out and buy food and medicine, I whip my phone out and use cashless payments via PayMaya. I have had the surprise of my life one day to have had the unbelievable experience of getting 100% cashbacks from the app returning what I paid for with the medicine and groceries I got. This thing happened about 4 times and I guess I'm a bit lucky, which is why I like to always pay with it when I can in establishments. I've had some of my friends do it too, so I don't really need to convince you to install it right? Right 😄

So anyway, the folks at PayMaya thought... What could be better than giving them cashbacks? Then said of course, give them all Double Cashbacks! You get the chance to get up to Php 500 worth of cashbacks twice if you use the #ScanToPay or pay online with your mobile phone number option with PayMaya. This includes online orders made via Facebook Messenger through merchants like Mang Inasal, Burger King, Red Ribbon, Greenwich, Chowking and more! Two chances to get that (minimum spend of Php 500) is just lovely! Aside from the food establishments, you can buy supplies at partner merchants like Robinsons Supermarket, Landers, Rustans Supermarket, Super8, Waltermart, Ministop, Shopwise, AllDay Supermarket and a whole lot more. Use the QR scan option because it's fast and convenient.

I just got my cashbacks earlier when I went to Robinsons Supermart in Jimenez. It was small though, but hey, I'll take anything! 🤣 So are you gonna do it now? Double is nice you know!

Moment Group Now Cashless with PayMaya

Tuesday, September 22, 2020

Food is essential even in the time of pandemic. Another chain of restaurants made it even safer for you to purchase food as they start using PayMaya in all their restaurants. For those who don't know, The Moment Group restaurants include my favorite Manam, dumpling genius Din Tai Ding, Ooma, burger place 8Cuts Burgers, Mo' Cookies, Shawa Wama, Viet food place Phat Pho, Mecha Uma and Bank Bar. I've always used contactless payments since quarantine started and for me, this is definitely good news.

Foodies can start using the PayMaya e-wallet for QR payments, online ones in store or their website momentfood.com when they check out with their orders. It will all be seen in their payment terminals. There is no reason to make this a reason to spread the virus because you can do it with a certain distance, no more touchy instances at all. Aside from that, their PayMaya terminals also accept Visa, MasterCard, JCB and others. PayMaya is also accepted in different establishments across the country, just look for the PayMaya sign on businesses where it is accepted and you can conveniently pay with it installed on your phone. You can also pay for bills, government dues, get free cashbacks each time you spend.

If you want to implement the same in your businesses, check out the ONE by PayMaya device over at enterprise.paymaya.com and their other PayMaya enterprise solutions.

It's easy, free to download and you can even get cashbacks after, why wouldn't you want that to happen right?

Independence Day Fun with PayMaya

Sunday, June 14, 2020

This weekend was too good, I guess it had a lot to do with luck that I got from a payment partner PayMaya. You see, it was my first time going out of my Barangay and because I had to do some banking chores in Cubao for my Mom. I also got to take out Fried Chicken from Jollibee because I’ve been craving for their juicy ones since lockdown happened. I paid via QR and it was a breeze. They didn’t have lines that time.

I was about to proceed go SM Supermarket in SM Cubao when I saw a humongous line that could take me a few hours just to get in, tons more hours to line up afterwards. I got into a Grabcar instead and went home, paid cashless with my PayMaya card. In our hood, there’s a small Robinsons Supermarket that I went to. I got ground pork, some chips, toiletries, insect spray and a few food items and fruits. It cost around 1,2k for all my purchase and I paid with cash and Gift Certificates at first but their thing wasn’t online so they returned it to me. Good thing I had PayMaya with me and I just paid via QR. Things took minutes to finish and I got home.

While I finished prepping lunch, my phone beeped and PayMaya told me this!

OMG imagine they gave me 500 pesos back just because I used my PayMaya to pay via QR. This has happened to me a LOT of times and I’m sure other people have experienced this too. Now go and download the app and take your payment experience to the next level! I felt my Groceries were just paid for by PayMaya.

I’m a lucky boy!

PayMaya Can Now Be Used in MINISTOP Branches

Saturday, February 22, 2020

Your Kariman dreams and Uncle John Fried Chicken wishes is about to get better if you are with PayMaya. After launching a very successful BalikBayad campaign with my love KathNiel, they just want you to enjoy a cashless life with the bird brand.

If you haven’t seen it yet, their current announcement ad says they now include Ministop to the growing list of PayMaya Preferred merchants. This means you can now pay for your usual purchases in Ministop stores and get added treats and perks whenever you pay via PayMaya QR. Making PayMaya QR available in more than 500 branches of Ministop all over the country means convenience for you and me. If you shop too from February 19 and April 18, PayMaya is giving a Php 50 perk if you purchase 200 pesos in Ministop participating stores, no joke! I just got mine this weekend and planning to get more in their future promos. Aside from that, you also get the chance to get the 1%, 10%, or 100% cashback which PayMaya QR also does from buying at partner merchants and establishments nationwide!

The list of PayMaya Preferred Merchants is growing and if you “Don’t Pay Cash. PayMaya!”, you’ll get more money out of the funds you get just by using it. I use it for Grab, for SM Department Store, I also use it to pay bills and get some other perks from it aside from Ministop. I think they’re putting up more kiosks so reloading won’t be a hassle. I reload via the cash in option of the PayMaya app and have been loving it ever since I discovered it could do that. Now you’ve got to register and use my code KUMAGCOWPYMY to get 50 bucks more :) because I care.

Don’t say I didn’t tell you about it, because I just did!
