Smart Hallyu Hangouts Presents HYUN BIN

As part of Smart's efforts to bring extraordinary experiences for their subscribers, they just concluded their recent Hallyu Hangouts with Hyun Bin after the recent one with Son Ye Jin. This time, the Captain took a breather, chatting with the host and two lucky fans who were picked to talk to him online.

During the event, I discovered a lot of things about him including how popular he was when he wasn't even an actor yet. He had his own personal fans club in high school. Aside from that, he does actually search his name on Hallyu or Google just so he could read articles about himself and see if it is TRUE or not. Because let's face it, some do publish weird stuff and celebrities not often get informed about it. He's like his own Sherlock Holmes!

He's pretty happy about how he's been loved by Filipinos, and he feels it. He would have been also happy to meet us in the country as soon as restrictions have been eased and this pandemic gets resolved. Aside from that, he's very happy about how he's part of Smart. He also did a few lines in Filipino including "Simple, Smart Ako!" which is Smart's tagline.

Fun at SMART Hallyu Hangouts with Son Ye Jin

After the hit Korean television series Crash Landing On You, Son Ye Jin has definitely caught the attention of her Filipino fans. In the series, she falls in love with Hyun Bin's character Lee Jeonghyeok even if they were in other sides of the fence (North and South Korea). While that ended a couple years ago, Filipinos still adore them as the KDrama fever went on despite the pandemic. Smart knows how important connections are so they brought Son Ye Jin through Smart Hallyu Hangouts so some fans would be able to interact and talk to the artists online, ask them a few questions and feel the love all over again. 

It's like a fan meet of sorts, but when asked how she feels about the love she's getting from Filipinos, she says "Honestly, I didn't know how popular I am in the Philippines. People have been sending heartfelt messages, photos, tagging me in screen shots from the show. I'm so happy just knowing that. The Smart shoot took quite a long time because I had to not only work with a Korean crew, but a Philippine team as well which I found quite fascinating. I had to communicate with them over the internet and I'm so glad I got to do it with Smart Communications. I'm very happy that I got to work with them despite the odds. The pandemic had us all confined in our homes after shooting CLOY and we didn't really think much of it til it had really good viewership not only in Korea but elsewhere in the world. But these days, I've been doing my share of isolation at home just like everyone else. When I get good feedback from fans, I don't really get tired of it, I actually want to hear more! (she kids). These days, I spend a lot of time working out and walking my dog when I get the chance to go outside. Exercise makes me happy, it's actually good for my mental health. I would like to go to Boracay soon but I've been to the Philippines before with my family, I find pinoys so welcoming, innocent looking, everyone looked so happy when I was there."

Good thing is, Smart is going to treat us again to something good this coming July 31st as they feature no other than the Captain himself, Hyun Bin on the next Smart Hallyu Hangouts at around 6:30pm on Smart's social channels. Make sure you like their page if you want to be part of that!

Looks like Smart Communications is making 5G more possible in the country by rolling out network projects left and right, plus having Korean superstars Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin as their brand ambassadors too.

I shared it with the band over the holidays and we got back, it was just good in its rawest form. It just happened. Now there's a lot to look forward to in the next few months, few years in fact. Aside from the Korean superstars, there will be lots of things to see in the 5G technology that they're rolling into the country. Wish I can get a plan with it soon!

HYUN BIN and SON YE JIN Star in Smart Ad

 

Valentines Day became even more special for fans of K Drama Kings and Queens Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin. The two stars of Crash Landing On You topbills Smart Communications advertisement for their promotion of Smart's 5G connection where you can indeed get more with the fastest connection. 

 This was something that Smart executives hinted when they came out with the Hyun Bin ad a couple months back as they really didn't want him to be lonely. Today was a nice day to fulfill that.

As of this writing, the video has garnered half a million views in almost 24 hours, pretty strong showing. The power of 5G marks Smart's latest offering of the fastest upload and download speeds on mobile and as they roll out the technology to different parts of the country. Pretty soon, more 5G phones will come out and the connection will be ready for it.

Scenes from their show also were shown on the ad, and that might tie in on data packages they will offer with Netflix wherein that show is shown in the Philippines. Son Ye Jin Behind The Scenes Released By Smart

A couple of days ago we got word that Korean actress Son Ye Jin has joined the Smart Communications Family. This was something heavily favored to happen after the Captain himself Hyun Bin did a commercial for them via the Smart Ako campaign a couple months ago. The line was, "We wouldn't want him to be lonely!" according to Smart executives that afternoon and now, that has officially come true with her involvement with Smart Signature.

Smart in a private press conference recently unveiled their biggest surprise yet, it SeRiously was hidden from everyone but because Smart Signature is also releasing new plans to fit your lifestyle, they got Son Ye Jin of popular Crash Landing On You Korean drama to be their official endorser. Their Simple Smart Ako campaign already was a hit with Hyun Bin, this is another great announcement, what will happen with new Smart Signature offers? They promise to #MakeTheirMark. 

Son Ye Jin is a goal player, cheerful and laid back in real life. Simple in the outside, powerful in the inside, Smart says their partnership is made in heaven. The new TVC and digital ad will be coming out soon, and yes, she has a few Filipino lines which fans would find so adorable!

Daring to go beyond the regular, they explained the new plans will simplify things, but will release details of it in the coming days. Priority, full worry free experience, an elevated lifestyle. They just rolled out 5G services a few days ago, you can find their data connection in blazing speeds now, they will also begin to roll out more 5G facilities in more areas nationwide! 

Netflix, HBO Go, IWant, NBA and more will still be partnering with them. We listened to them via zoom and they told us their experience working with Son Ye Jin.

Jane Basas of Smar lt says “Two months ago when we started the campaign with Hyun Bin, we heard one question and said we didn’t want Hyun Bin to be lonely, we had to make the fans happy. It was in June when we got in touch with them, signed up on the second week, finalized things during the third and final weeks after that. She wanted to see if she could do all in English, we did it digitally via zoom to make sure it fits the story line. She was very warm, welcoming of us and took time to have a call with us and said she wanted to do it here. She wants to visit her fans here and she was very happy, wants to also visit Manila soon. She loved the campaign, she was a bad ass chick and two days after the shoot, we couldn’t keep it a secret because some fans picked it up. She was grateful and thankful, she knew Smart because of Hyun Bin and she’s very picky in endorsement deals, she would have loved to meet her fans. She was here 10 years ago in Palawan and can’t wait to come back. Her contract is a year, including a visit to the Philippines with three events. Hopefully things get better so this all could happen soon!”

Son Ye Jin says “I wanted to go to the Philippines and shoot and a lot of my fans sent me messages of support in social media. I am so happy to hear that, but won’t be able to because of travel restrictions. I am a character in front of the camera, a real person when I’m not. For those who are just starting, don’t be afraid of hardships, it makes you become near your goal! Fighting! I am so happy to be the newest endorser for Smart. Simple, Smart Ako!”

HYUN BIN: What You Should Know About Smart’s Campaign

Here is first hand information about Smart's Hyun Bin campaign talked about a few minutes ago  with Smart's executives. We had an announcement livestream just for the media.

Mr. Al Panlilio says "The new tagline #SimpleSmartAko is their promise to have technology available for every Filipino. To keep customers lives as simple as possible. During this time, we saw an opportunity and it allowed us to see the possibilities. We were fortunate we did it on the 12th. It happened on a zoom meeting. We talked to him. He was nice and very down to earth, we thanked him for endorsing the product. He learned tagalog, it was fun for the people there on the ground.

Ms. Jane Basas added "We asked ourselves "What is Smart in the lives of our clients?" Making it simple for our customers, we realized we are important for peoples lives. The GigaLife, expand our offers and digital services while keeping it as simple as possible. Entertainment, KDrama. We knew there was a huge following, I was a fan. A lot of us were, it would have been crazy for us not to do it. The feedback has been quite phenomenal. It is a one year engagement, he will be with is for the next few months. He will be making our customers happy during trying times. I planned to do this and physically tried to be there, but this hit us too. We just had to get it done and we did it all online with his management and crew."

They also are currently investigating the leaks online. Captain Ri according to them will just be the start, they said he will be lonely if he will be the only one so some Korean stars might appear soon. They are finalizing plans of doing Hyun Bin Merchandise so you can bring him home if you apply new subscriptions and do business with Smart Business centers. The campaign should have been started in June but things happened so they got to release early. He is so excited to come and wants to be here once flight restrictions are lifted. They see passions of customers and might have plans designed specifically for watching videos soon other than GigaVideo.
