Watch NBA on RPTV

Guys, gals, if you're looking for NBA games and couldn't find it anymore on the previous channels you've been watching it on, this is good news for you. RPTV is now the official free to air channel to watch all your favorite games and more. They will be doing this on May 22 at 8am starting with the Eastern Conference Finals of Bolton Celtics versus the Indiana Pacers. Aside from that, even post season games will be broadcasted for free. They will also be showing the Western Conference Finals for teams Dallas Mavericks versus Minnesota Timberwolves this coming Thursday May 23.

RPTV has been a pet project of TV5 AND MediaQuest and has been a go to place for public service, news and entertainment shows in the past. They are already doing the PBA, the D League and FIBA. They are also the ones that show PVL for the volleyball aficionados, so there's really something for everyone!

RPTV Is now on Channel 9 (free to air TV), channel 19 on digital, and in over 300 cable and satellite channels too. You can even use the Cignal Play app and watch the games there when you are mobile.

BALL LIKE A PANDA with foodpanda and NBA!

Spent the whole afternoon participating in one of many foodpanda and NBA activities last week, and it was nice to see how a lot of people were able to join in the fun whether on the court or on the sidelines. This is what they call Ball Like a Panda.

Since foodpanda is the official online food delivery platform of the NBA in the Philippines, they hosted several NBA tentpole events and promos where folks win NBA prizes and promos. This includes a trip to the US to watch an actual NBA game (this was last May) wherein JP Alejandro won. Aside from that, several NBA watch Pau-rties to enjoy food and fun with other ka-Pandas.

The Ball Like a Panda 3x3 Basketball tournament on the other hand was really the cherry on top. With celerities like Eric Eraption Tai, Juancho Trivino, Rayver Cruz, Prince Clemente, Wilbert Ross, Kuya Mikee Reyes joined real deal foodpanda riders John Alcanzo, Leonnel Baldo, Jeffrey Diaz, Jason Baldo in severa 3x3 games in Pasig. foodpanda Forges Patnership with NBA

Went to Mall of Asia Entertainment Hall pretty early for the recent announcement of foodpanda and their partnership with the biggest league in the world, the NBA. Present during the occasion was their fun lovin' mascot Paupau, their executives  Amer Bakshi, Lorelie Olalia and NBA's Hubert Ling and Mae Dichupa. 

They also brought in UAAP and PBA players to make sure games would be extra fun for participating foodpanda customers that morning. 

This means that from now on, foodpanda will be the official food delivery partner of the NBA. Each time you watch the NBA games especially this coming NBA All Star Weekend, it'll be super convenient to order up at your foodpanda app and get your food delivered fast.

The Converse x NBA Collection

Wow.

That's what exactly I said when I saw this new collection from Converse. The All Star is already 100 years old but they keep on churning out new designs and now they're coming out with NBA. 

My favorite among the shoes this evening is the one from Chicago Bulls. The design is basically much like a tougher version of their jersey. This Converse x NBA Collection is obviously for fans of the game and the greatest basketball league in the world NBA. Right now they are launching the rivals with 6 pairs. ABSCBN Issues Statement On Garnishment Case and Rift with SOLAR Entertainment Corporation

ABS-CBN just released a statement regarding the garnishment of assets of ABS-CBN and Sky Cable which was ordered by the Mandaluyong Regional Trial Court last May 25, 2017. The statement indicates that ABS-CBN and Solar Entertainment Corporation went into a license agreement with NBA Properties Inc. and since ABS-CBN was already paying 60% of the dues for the licensing, they assumed this to be part of the carriage fees which Solar Entertainment Corporation disagreed with.

On the note, it indicated they have pursued several attempts to resolve this amicably but Solar has already cut off its feed to Sky Cable and filed this Garnishment claim. Garnishment is a legal term of collecting monetary judgement in behalf of the plaintiff - in this case is Solar Entertainment Corporation but ABS-CBN has filed a motion to lift on May 29, wherein it was granted on the same day. They also indicated they will file counter claims and are confident they will prevail in this case.

Bless them both, we guys just need our NBA back especially since it is already championship already.

NBA 3X 2014 and Smart Cares!

An awesome day just happened at the Mall of Asia Arena when a local soft drink brand, in cooperation with the country's biggest network SMART Communications just held the NBA 3X 2014 Philippines. It caters to athletes in different age groups with male and female divisions but the best part is, they are holding Basketball Clinics, a Slam Dunk Contest, a Skills Challenge, a 3-Point Shootout, a Fast Feet Challenge, Autograph Session with the NBA greats LA Lakers Forward Wesley Johnson and Toronto Raptors Guard DeMar DeRozan and live performances.

A celebrity match was also done this afternoon where teams made up of Marco Alcaraz, Derek Ramsey, Ervic Vijandre, Rovilson Fernandez, Will DeVaughn, Jinno Rufino, Mong Alcaraz of Spongecola, Mark Zambrano, Bobby Yan, Robin DaRoza, Fabio Ide, Jose Sarasola, Eric Tai, Andy Smith, Luis Alandy, Coach Rio Dela Cruz, JayR, Vince Hizon, DJ Emel Rowe, Coach Alan Gregorio, Marco Benitez, Anton Roxas and Aljur Abrenica played for charity along with a small clinic for special children in the Philippines. Other celebrities like the Sacramento Kings mascot Slamson the Lion, Toronto Raptors cheer squad and the Raptors Dance Pak also joined in for this cause headed by NBA Cares.

How NOT To Miss The NBA Finals

In a land composed of 7,107 islands, 96.1 Million people and streets lined up with basketball courts in almost every street corner, I guess the world has taken notice that the Philippines is also crazy about the NBA Finals. In my timeline alone, I've seen friends place bets, boyfriends and girlfriends take sides and siblings not talking anymore on the dinner table. Two things, you are either a Spurs fan (like me)... or for Miami Heat (who we think is going to lose Game 3 *insert your sad face here*). Not everyone gets to watch the games because it is streamed live in the morning. It also happens right when everybody is already at work. Ha!

You won't be able to concentrate on what you're doing. Since the standing is already 1-1, the games 3 & 4 is happening in Miami and you still have no idea if Kahwi Leonard and Chris Bosh will step up the plate or improve their free throw shots, you just have to know who will win game number 3. Well lo and behold since it's a work day... so you can't file your hard earned leave credits just for that plus imagine the pile of documents that'll end up on your table the next day. Well, how about if I tell you there's actually a way to watch the FINALS... LIVE, ON DEMAND and in HD? Here's how...
