EnergyFM Vows To Be Great Again!

Thursday, May 25, 2017

I'm currently sitting here alone in the crowd while munching on my favorite Korean meats at KPub Barbecue in BGC. Not that I don't want to but I just want to be alone for a moment as I listen to tunes dished by Tricoustics as they take part in the celebration and media launch of EnergyFM. It looks like they are taking an aggresive stance in forging partnerships and relationships with media people as they introduce more people from their radio station. You probably know the recent transfer of John Gemperle aka Papa Jack who is now known as Papa Jackson, aside from that they've got a stellar lineup of radio Dj's set to rule airwaves of Metro Manila and nearby provinces as they battle a tough market where everybody else was claiming they are number 1.

KPUB BBQ was so good btw!

Now they were known to have been renting off time on their frequency in the past but now that they've added more people on their team, it looks like they are going to bank on the attention that they are getting. Would this prove to be a hard goal to reach? Or would this be an easy route? I believe it's going to be a very tough fight. Though I'm glad even in the past they have been able to get name recall with their byline "Wag Mo Sabihing Radyo, Sabihin Mo Energy!" which means "Don't say it's radio, say it's Energy!" (pertaining to EnergyFM). I still think they should stick with that and just amp up the individual programs they have the whole day.

But really, we have loved and always remembered EnergyFM as our "pangga" or love in our Visayan dialect. As owmer Ms. Rebecca Sy puts it "The celebrities are here, thank you for coming, even though I own McCormick, Clara Ole, San Remo, Lee Kum Kee, Tabasco and tons of other companies, I always thought greatness comes in how you face failures and focus on the goals. We only count blessings, and put everything to God. We don't have to be the number 1 radio station but have true love and concern with our listeners. Our mission is not just provide music and entertainment, we want to be an instrument of God to those who tune in to our station. Papa Jackson and Kuya Chico is now part of our team, and so does a lot of new members of the EnergyFM family, together with them I hope we all take priority not just to strive for greatness, but help people.  Please join us to make EnergyFM great again, thank you!".

Their Station Manager adds "For us at EnergyFM, she is our paradigm, she provides direction and deserves our thanks and congratulations Madam Rebecca Ang Sy. We have been lucky to have seen how our station has humbly grown, and for that we are also thankful too. You will see more things improve in programming, you'll be heearing us the whole week, weekends and Sundays included."

The DJ's all performed for the crowd which includes some of their sponsors, ad agencies and supporters. They also had everyone from the radio station thank the media who attended the occasion. I wish they prove true to their promise, because as they say... there's really no way to go but up!

Congratulations EnergyFM! I wish you guys all the best! And maybe soon, I'll be a DJ too, I think I had that on my bucketlist hahah! Oh and I really had fun, thank you!

P.S. Please make sure you ALWAYS listen to Papa Jackson's and Kuya Chico's (GabiNaKabahanKaNa) show on 106.7 EnergyFM from 9PM to 1AM weekdays and also Papa Jacksons much awaited Hello STG (sorry, thank you, goodbye) on the same slot on other days. You'll love them both!

Thank you Papa Jackson and EnergyFM!

Papa Jack aka John Gemperle is Back: Joins ENERGY FM!

Friday, March 17, 2017

We all felt so bad, and felt it was a sad day for Philippine FM radio seeing Papa Jack aka John Gemperle go off air a couple of months ago but here's a bit of good news.

The radio jock, singer, composer, photographer, TV/Commercial personality, love advice guru and good looking model just confirmed he will be signing up with 106.7 Energy FM.

The station is owned and operated by Ultrasonic Broadcasting System with offices at Ortigas in Pasig City. This comes as welcome news to the throngs of fans that have been eagerly waiting for his comeback as he is regarded as one of the most sought after love advice personalities in the country. He also is bringing in years of experience as a successful radio jock which will hopefully make Energy FM battle it out square with other radio stations that have been ruling the charts. He will also now carry the moniker Papa J (for obvious reasons).

We're one with the country and Energy FM listeners that would welcome this development and we're hopeful that this will start something BIG for the radio station who has been doing a great job these past few years. Your evenings won't be empty anymore and you won't be forced to listen to nonesense when he comes back, that I am definitely sure of!

Congratulations PaJack! Can't wait to hear you back in the airwaves! Tune in to 106.7 Energy FM prolly starting next week evenings as he turns a new page, bring back the charm and machismo that only Papa Jack/Papa J aka John Gemperle can bring on the radio. Go tell your friends!

Papa Jack Officially Leaves Love Radio

Thursday, December 29, 2016

Ever wondered why Papa Jack went missing on Love Radio? He's the hit show host of TLC: True Love Confessions and he's been teaching a lot of love struck Filipinos for over 12 years about how to deal with love, with being real and tells it like it is. He suddenly went missing during mid December and people have been looking for him. According to a source, the talented radio jock seems to have resigned from his radio station amidst conflicts with management and his career decisions. This really caught us, his listeners really off guard.

He's currently being sought for by other radio stations and TV Networks but have decided take a short break first but plans to put up a radio show and podcast very soon. Now isn't that more exciting? Aside from that, you'll hear him no holds barred and you'll get an even better version of this guy in the future shows. I wonder where he's going to next?

TV5 Launches "Call Me Papa Jack" and "Rising Stars Philippines!"

Thursday, January 22, 2015

Have you seen the lineup of shows that TV5 is coming out this 2015? If not, then this is your lucky day. We attended the launch a few days ago and got first hand information about the new programs they're planning to show this first quarter. It's epic because there are tons of artists and superstars that have gone to the Kapatid network, ultimately to bring you even better lineups this year as they challenge GMA, I think I heard from them a clear message that they are going to claim the second spot this year, and why not, they've been third place for quite a while and it's not bad to claim a goal right? Haha. Anyway, here's what transpired during that evening.

Oh yes! It's Papa Jack!

On the video screen I saw a familiar face (he wasn't there, apparently he was on a team building trip in Boracay!). Papa Jack apparently jumped ship from that defunct program he had in GMA and will now be part of TV5. The radio show is now on TV and he's still not going to hold back on giving love advise as he's pretty much known for that. He's also going to interview a ton of TV5's artists so you better watch out for the first few episodes that will include a tell all on their love problems, yes, all on air! I can't wait to see how he's going to put these guys and gals on the spot once it shows on the Kapatid channel. It's going to be entitled "Call Me Papa Jack!" every Saturday night. Now isn't that something to look forward to? Well that's not all of it, there's more!

Ogie Alcasid

If you love singing in the confines of your bathroom, your room, or just about anywhere that there's Videoke, then this new show from TV5 is for you. It's called Rising Stars Philippines and it's going to be hosted by Ogie Alcasid, Venus Raj and Mico Aytona. It's going to show on February but will hold auditions nationwide, even in the smallest barangays. I have seen the one in Trinoma lately and they're still open. If you don't want to audition there, download the app on Google Play store or visit RisingStars.ph and enter the competition from there. One entry per contestant and you don't have to lineup like other shows. Who knows, you might just win something big if you get to be the ultimate Rising Star! It's going to be on February 28 and run until May so you've got to get your vocal chords ready and read my other article here for the gist. Who knows, your dream to stardom might just come true! Again, there's more!
