2 Phones, a Watch and Buds Launched at REALME FANFEST 2024

 

 

Gateway Mall 2 was full of people. There were enthusiasts, realme fans, media and executives as they make another installment of REALME FANFEST this 2024.

 

Aside from the various games and activities they prepared for us, they also launched the realme 13 Pro Series, the new realme Watch S2 and the realme Buds T310.

The realme 13 Pro 5G and realme 13 Pro+ is dubbed as "DSLR in your pocket!". A tall order, but they made it possible with the Ultra Clear Camera it has armed with AI. Hardware wise, it's got a Sony LYT 600 OIS lens. They used a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 5G Chipset, 24GB RAM and 512GB Storage to make sure it performs well and doesn't run out of space for photos/videos. Inspired by Monet, they also have it in 3 different colors. Some of which have polished metal, and vegan leather at the back.

The new realme Watch S2 on the other hand has 20 day battery life, hundreds of watch faces, an AI engine and more sports and health measurement for your active lifestyle. It's also dust and water resistant, so if you run outdoors you'll have less worry. The realme Buds T310 looks extra fun now. It has noise cancellation, spatial audio and dynamic bass drivers. I enjoyed the buds predecessor and have it in my bag til now. It performs quite nice, lasts a long time. This one promises over 40 hours of playback, so imagine the songs you could play with it while doing your everyday work. The noise reduction feature comes in 3 tiers too, so if you're in a busy place, things can really be heard better with these new functions made by AI Deep Call Noise Reduction.

They also managed to do a full on dance contest at the activity center and awarded OBS Fuego Eterno the championship, the crowd loved them every bit. They also held a search for the next face of realme here influencers Diego Aranda and Sammie Amboy won it. They both got 100K cash for that and 50K worth of realme products. What's Good with the realme 12 + 5G

Just had this phone used for a few weeks now and I wanted to tell you the experience. For starters, a phone dubbing itself as a "Portrait Master" would have been a tall order, but the realme 12 series so far has been able to deliver that promise. They got portrait shots from an actual realme 12+5G and used it to shoot ordinary folks (like me), and saw quite amazing results. First off, I looked good in it.

What I like most about this phone is the really good details on static shots, the video, and the actual display. It seems so crisp and  bright, the colors are in a different league. When I played MOBA games in it, I get amazed whenever characters are being selected because it's all so vivid and the effects and music felt awesome... I was ready to switch and make this my primary phone.

 

realme 12 Series Phone Launch

These phones were launched a couple of weeks ago at the Green Sun events place in Makati. It was simultaneously streamed on FB and YT in the Philippines and they got us to walk through a photo gallery, all showcasing what the 12 series could do in real life. 

The design and features of the realme 12 Pro+ 5G and the realme 12+ 5G were also quite impressive especially when it comes to taking portrait shots of people, moments, which you can do in one click. If you are taking interest in the realme 12 Pro+ 5G, it comes with a 12GB+512GB storage in Submarine Blue or Navigator Beige colorways. The price for the said model is only Php 25,999. I can vouch for the realme 12+ 5G. The 12GB+4GB Ram and 256GB Storage feels like I don't even have to delete photos or files anymore. It also has a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 processor, a screen size of 6.67 inch and a 16MP Front Camera which you can use for selfies with friends and family. The rear 50+8+2 MP cameras also give you the capability to shoot portraits, landscape and wide shots like a pro, without resorting to a pricey DSLR if all you want is a decent photo. There's tons of things around, but since I've attended their event a few days ago, I've come to a conclusion that there's no escaping the deals and steals they have, so just give in and shop. This is the upgraded version of the previous SPARK series, but made affordable. It regularly is priced Php 5,599, pretty good hardware for gaming. SONY ZV 1

If you're looking to up your vlogging game, one of the most loved brands of cameras actually come from SONY. This ZV-1 has a 20.1 Megapixel 1 inch type sensor, real time tracking, eye auto focus, a bokeh switch (so you are not lens dependent), a directional mic with wind screen so you don't need that furry cover for it. This also supports 4K, comes with a 64GB SD card which is already good, but you always can have more to save those precious moments on travels and adventures. HONOR Smartphones 

HONOR has several phones on sale this 12.12. Some products will also be 50 percent OFF which is really huge if you're out to get a phone. The HONOR X9a 5G is one that I use, and quite abuse, but it's one of the toughest phones I've ever had and I've used it for coverages and interviews. I could say this is much for the clumsy ones, I admit, I've dropped it a few times and it didn't get dent or damaged whatsoever. I've seen this be run over by a car during the launch (as I was there) and it's a pretty tough cookie. The HONOR 90 on the other hand is good for photos, if you're much into that in your socials, it would be better to get that instead.

REALME 11

Their best phone currently is the Realme 11. It's very pretty colorwise, has ample screen resolution, high screen to body ratio, bright and tough with a Corning Gorilla Glass 5. You can get 8GB RAM with it, and they're running a promo when the clock strikes 12 on 12.12. I would suggest you get this if you're more into video. You can also do a bit of gaming with it with ease, I've had an older model that still works but I suggest you don't drop it as much because glass is glass. They also give freebies, so check their offers if they have them on special dates.

 POCO F5

Meet the POCO F5. This is an 8GB phone with a 256GB internal storage. It also comes in a 12GB, 256GB version too plus a 1 year warranty. That's how confident they are with the product. It's got a Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 processor and a 120Hz Flow AMOLED so you won't get lags on your heavy games. Yes, it's definitely the one to look out for if you're into playing all day long because the technology it employs on RAM is quite different, uses fast flash memory. realme just launched the new realme 11 Pro 5G Series with the one and only Queen Kathryn Bernardo. This includes the realme 11 Pro+ 5G and the realme 11 Pro 5G.

Kathryn's been very busy these couple of months as she's doing a film called "A Very Good Girl" with famed actress Dolly De Leon. Shooting was tough but Kath was thankful she got to spend the days after with the realme family just to launch these special phones in the Philippines.

If you haven't seen it, the realme 11 Pro+ 5G has a 200MP OIS SuperZoom Camera and a 120Hz Curved OLED Display. Z4 ESports Takes RMC Season 7 Championship

We had a lot of fun watching teams battle it out at the RMC (realme Mobile Legends Cup) at the activity center of SM Megamall in Mandaluyong City. It's an annual event made to even further develop ESports gaming teams in the Philippines while showcasing the best mobile phones from realme, specifically the realme C53.

First up is the showmatch of SIBOL Team that won a SEA Games Gold Medal. Much talk about them being challenged by their foe the TNC Pro Team. During drafts much of their picks involved banning those who can pull and be tanky like Kaja, Franco, Kufra, Helcurt and others. TNC also chose a few fast fighters, marksmans, and a tank while Sibol had fast fighters and a mage to deal more damage. Sibol overwhelmed them in the map. 

 

Filipino Rap Lord Gloc9 gave us a show!

In the second match, Sibol had to battle it out with Smart Omega. Omega chose to band the fast fighters and chose fighter tanks and a mage while Sibol chose fighter and armor type heroes. Sibol also chose characters that can take down towers quite fast, taking advantage of the new emblem system in the recent update. It was a pretty tough match, quite close, but in the end it was team Sibol that took the win. Best talent award for the season went to Chantelle, she was also given the MVP later on in the celebrity match wherein Team Santie won too. Smart Omega Empress by the way also won the championship for the Women's League before this game, that was a good run!

Then the RMC Season 7 Championship match started, well not really. The supposed match between Team Z4 Esports Pegaxy and Elite was done in just a few minutes because after several attempts of getting in touch with them, Elite didn't show up, therefore awarding the win to Z4 Esports Pegaxy. They won Php 400,000 cash and a 150K worth of realme products.

realme Launches 9 Pro and 9Pro+

Folks looking for a phone would be so happy as realme just released the realme 9 Pro. It's got hybrid dual sim slots (one you can use for micro SD storage), a huge 6.6 inch screen, 1080p 30fbs video, 16MP front camera, and three cams on the back with 64MP, 8MP (for ultra wide shots) and 2MP macro. Very pretty too as it's colorways are in Aurora Green, Sunrise Blue and Midnight Black in some countries.

Battery life is good for long play as it's got 500mah LiPo batteries. You can fast charge it too with 33W power with the proprietary USB C cable.In a way, this is a little like the realme 8 but the improvements and additions are sufficient to be called the 9 Pro. This is also available in 6/8GB RAM versions with the Snapdragon 695 5G processor, runs Android 12 and the new realme UI 3.0 which people love. The 128GB storage also is huge, so you can have photos, videos and lots of apps installed without deleting stuff. A little important for me because I do a lot of these things.

The phones will be having a bigger sensor, bigger light intake and better photos. The realme 9 Pro Plus on the other hand has better image output, better photos in low light situations, steady and still with OIS that helps with lessening blur for videos. It's a hardware and software combination that gets you to lessen noise, so you get a worthy image to post on socials and print. The audio has dual speakers with dolby atmos, those movie nights would never be the same. The realme 9 Pro+ has a MediaTek Dimensity 720 5G Processor, 4,500 mAh battery, Vapor Chamber Cooling System so you don't have to worry about heating. It's also got 60W Super Dart Charge, only takes you a couple minutes to full charge your phone. Don't be confused what to get though because both of them are quite good. 5G ready phones at this price point is simply good already, but they packed it with good hardware. 

According to tests done by realme Philippines, they've gotten no problems in gaming. Albeit sweat and intense use would play a role, they've had not seen any issues with the phones they've gotten. As for aftersales service, they have 20 locations nationwide minus one because of a fire in Alabang, but they're currently expanding in the country, so there's more places you can go to if you encounter issues.

They will also have realme Buds Air 3 launched on the 15th so stay tuned for that. It's very minimalist, active noise cancellation, 42dB of it. 30hours of playback. A few days ago, realme invited media for a preview of a few things they're launching this week. It was actually super hard to keep things from you, but since they already talked about it this weekend, here's a few things of what we know so far about the realme GT Master Edition Series and the new realme book. The event was attended by realme Philippines executives Austine Huang, Kyle Hubo, Jeannielyn Cheng, Dom Nacorda, Jimmclaude Gayo and a few media guests. They dub these as flagship disruptors,

Kathryn Bernardo and Alodia Hints New realme 5G Smartphone?

 

 

There are leaks, but there are some really obvious hints of a new 5G smartphone from realme with these two posts from Teen Queen Kathryn Bernardo and Cosplay Queen Alodia Gosengfiao. realme as you may know has already copped the #1 spot in sales figures released since third quarter last year and continue to grow despite the pandemic. 

5G structure has already been built in the past couple of years and utilizing it as it becomes available is surely the way to go. But there are only a few phones that are capable of it. realme has of course proven itself in the manners of making it quality, powerful, but affordable. In Kathryn's post, she was just casually telling how she's now started to pick up gaming as a hobby delving into popular ones like Call of Duty Mobile,  Mobile Legends Bang Bang, League of Legends Wild Rift and PUBG Mobile among others. Then Alodia did a screen shot and placed a couple of hashtags signifying #InfinitePossibilitieswith5G and tells Kat that it's going to be exciting from here. Well that to me is a clear indication of a 5G phone we have no knowledge of yet.
