MARIAN RIVERA and Girl Bosses Headline SM Supermalls and TikTok Shop's "She Leads: Fun Beyond Shopping" Event

Spent the weekend at SM Mall of Asia a few days ago to see "She Leads: Fun Beyond Shopping", an event organized by SM Supermalls and TikTok Shop. This happened at the mall's Main Atrium and as expected, there were TONS of people who appeared, partly for Marian Rivera, and also several girl bosses who brought their business along so people could get to know their success stories.

 

See, success didn't come overnight for most of them. They really had to do the legwork of knowing their market, learning the ropes, and looking for avenues where business could thrive in. This partnership means TikTok Shops and SM's platforms can now be accessed easily online so you can do more. It's WOMEN led brands after all that make a huge chunk of businesses in TikTok Shops and in real life retail. We saw Sip2Glow, Tapies, Gorgeous Glow, Azul, Huga, Mikana, HB Jewelry, Dood PH, Perfume Dessert, Pina Beauty PH, Urban Scent, Tiny Buds and Wise Cleaner. They were there in 3 separate days and shared not only success stories, but their actual business to other hoping entrepreneurs who would really be good at it. It was a chance to learn, which I loved because they gave a lot of people a chance to also earn, rather than just selling per se. People also got a lot of deals with SM Malls Online, the app is definitely better and can be easily downloaded on Google Play and the App Store. Some put out 50 percent off, 10 percent off SM Malls Online and their TikTok Shops.

SM Introduces SAM Customer Service Robot

SM has been in the forefront of the mall scene, leading since then. They always come out with innovations and this time, it’s not that different. They are introducing the first ever in mall robot called SAM. It’s a humanoid robot with AI capabilities. It is programmed to deliver personalized and efficient interaction with customers. For now they ar going to release her at SM Megamall and soon there will be more in other branches.

SM Supermalls COO Steven Tan says “SAM will provide better customer service, the latest innovation only from SM.”

SAM is equipped with an advanced face recognition technology so you’ll get personalized greetings, help with information about all the things related to mall operations, places to shop, locations where to eat, so you wouldn’t say “kahit saan” if you’re asked by friends and family. This robot was created by CAL-COMP Technology Philippines. SAM will be walking around SM Atrium, SM Mega Fashion Hall, Bank Drive and other locations. Ask SAM if you need help!

They have a lot to offer and that is an understatement. A few weeks ago SM released a Valentines themed video to usher in the love month. It was made by Jason Magbanua, the best wedding videographer in my books, one that is internationally renowned. Aside from that, they’ve got a few events up their sleeve that they are going to make your experience in SM as a second home. You don’t have to go out, you can cook at home, make the things that matter be in the forefront of your Valentines day celebrations.

Famed videographer Jason Magbanua says “I’m known for wedding videos, I eat sleep and breathe with it but when they approached me it was different, I do web branded content. I jumped at the opportunity. I always do one takes and captures in weddings but this one we can prepare until we get the perfect take. We had good talents, so it was equally easy. It was relateable, in a sense much like my videos. Even though you don’t know my brides and grooms, you suddenly feel it like you were part of the story and cry. It’s that same feeling we wanted to be in this story. I always ask people when they get wed on Feb 14 because prices of flowers skyrocket at this date. They do it and prepare ahead, this video shows the little things.”

MINISO Opens Store at SM Manila and SM San Lazaro!

It was a festive afternoon that welcomed me and a couple of blogger friends and celebrities at SM Manila a few weeks ago during the MINISO launch. MINISO has been a trusted brand from Tokyo and has been expanding rapidly all throughout the world with 1,400 stores at it's helm. With products that are simple, natural and quality, they've been impressing the most meticulous consumers with their own branded products. It was super cool to see them all in one place, still affordable and could pass off as those cute Japan products you see on TV even without going to the land of the rising sun. The company's executives, SM leadership and influencers were among the attendees. I saw these two lovebirds shopping and preparing for the opening ceremonies.

Ruru Madrid and Gabbi Garcia still star on the show Encantadia. They also appear on several shows in the Kapuso Network and have been regarded as one of the love teams to beat, though I feel it's REAL just like all the GabRu fans no? :)

Miniso people were already prepared for the throng of customers that were excited to buy stuff from their store. Trinkets of Japanese products not found in the Philippines can now be bought at SM Manila and SM San Lazaro!

A Japanese ceremony was also done to scare away evil spirits from the store, so you're sure you're going to be lucky when you purchase things here!

They also had performers entertain guests after the ribbon cutting. It was fun!

Gabbi and Ruru were also there to give away gold coins, real coins and buy stuff off the shelf!

In just a few minutes, the lines became this long!

There are super nice organizers and sewing kits, perfect for gifts eh?

Some stuff toys were also selling for 200+ only, super cute!

They also had these elegant fragrance pots which you can put in rooms if you want to set your mood.

These ottoman boxes were selling like hotcakes, they're really good storage solutions for small rooms and they sell it very cheap!

They also have colorful headphones that sell for less than 1K. It was one of the things I wanted to buy but I already have so much stuff at home I had to stop my self LOL!

Still have problems on the nose area? You can remove blackheads with these stickers that only cost 99 I think.

These pots and pans for individual egg or pancake servings is so cute. They have cute anime characters on them.

Kids tell mom and dad you want these cute solar powered cars. Makes a good environmentally conscious gift for your small boys and girls.

Elegant earrings, necklaces and bracelets are also sold for cheap. They have promos with these too.

Snacks from Japan, they've got it here.

I got some of these almonds. So good!

For those who love gadgets, they've got these wireless keyboards and mice.

They also have power bank units, Miniso brand :)

For those who need cases for their phones, they've got a lot of them especially the new models.

They also have personal stuff, so clean up, personal effects, they've got it!

Soon they're going to open more stores in SM City East Ortigas, SM City Fairview, SM City Sucat and SM Southmall.This is just the beginning, they're going to have more branches in a mall near you. I'm going back there this weekend because I forgot to hoard some stuff so see you!
