Better Banking Rewards with Security Bank

Tuesday, October 28, 2025

Had a lovely morning at Shangrila Mall's atrium yesterday as Security Bank had all their people celebrate in "Ready, Set, Redeem!" which is a launch for their #BetterBankingRewards platform as part of their credit card perks. I think it's special because they really have designed it in a way where cardholders would be able to earn points easier, use their points with flexibility and enjoy the rewards conveniently instead of just being stagnantly there. With appealing promos and partner merchants as huge as the Mastercard network, you'll get to see and feel how rewarding it is to have one.

At the Shangrila Mall, they had different stations to exchange points into miles with different airline companies (You can exchange your existing rewards points from Security Bank to the preferred airline and buy the needed tickets you want. For international or domestic flights, partner airlines are accessible on the app), taught folks to also use it for hotel stays, had us watch Will Dasovich spend it like actual money to change his wardrobe, styled for a flight he's having in the afternoon. It was like using the points as convenient as cash. The #BetterBankingRewards is accessible through the Security Bank app or the website. Simply register and redeem rewards in over 100+ partner brands listed there. Whether you enjoy a day in a spa, flying, shopping, they've got lots of options for you to enjoy without spending a dime, just your points of course!

Rahul Rasal EVP and Retail Head of Security Bank says "Welcome to our partners, to Mastercard and Security Bank family. How many are married? Not Married? Do you believe in happy wife, happy life? A resounding Yes, but happy husband doesn't matter. I went on a vacation once, but had to call my bank to increase my limit, the kind person said it's okay, we can redeem your points to get you a room upgrade. That's when I felt the importance of rewards, you can do this on flights and hotels, and in a lot of merchants. We hope you too get a rewarding experience with Security Bank."

This doesn't only apply here, but internationally (so use your points and exchange them with other loyalty points smart!). You can also monitor your points spending in the same place. This convenience makes it a #BetterBankingRewards experience so if you apply for a Security Bank Credit Card today, you get to earn points like a pro. No wonder they've won awards for it! Head on to securitybank.com to know more.

METROBANK Urges You To Get HOLIDEALS Early! Gets JOSE MARI CHAN Singing in AUGUST!

Friday, August 08, 2025

It's August but Metrobank is about to change the holiday schedules as they start the season with planning early with products fit for the Filipino resolution makers, and not have it too late. Folks should not start change after new year revelries, the time to start doing it is right now!

Last year, they initiated GIFT. Mr. Digs Dimagiba the Digital Marketing Lead for Metrobank talked lengthily about it and said "Goals, Invest, Follow a Budget Plan and Take Advantage of Deals (aka GIFT) was done last year. This year, we need to plan ahead. We need to spend with purpose, and August as Financial Resolutions Month and it needs to be done a bit early because those who start late usually don't get to achieve their goals. We want more people to accomplish their goals, and stop making it in January just like any successful business. It's going to be clearer, have gift guides, plan before your bonus comes into play in your financial journey. The #EarlyGIFT challenge means you need to know your realistic goal in 12 months, take time to write it down, make it public and tag your friends, before the holiday rush begins. You may refer to earlygift.ph, and don't be afraid to have big goals. We'll help you make your plans become a reality."

Ms. Peaches Cuenco the Head of Consumer Lending Group for Metrobank says "Look at where are right now. Home ownership is a priority for every family, there are 2/5 folks who don't own their homes. The younger Filipinos increased ownership for car and homes, there is an increase YOY. It's an opportunity for Metrobank to make that a reality. Our best offer ever is the Car and Home Loans now have a 3 year fixed term, waived fees (10K), and these include insurance from AXA. Convenience that is FREE. If you are interested, you can apply online on our website or physically go to a branch near you. We can be your financial partner all the way!"

Now is the time to be financially ready. And what better way to start that but by singing Christmas Songs with the one and only Jose Mari Chan!

@kumagcow JOSE MARI CHAN Starts Singing CHRISTMAS SONGS IN AUGUST, just like your plans to save! Do it early with METROBANK #TikTokTainmentPH #TikToktainment #tiktokshowbizreporter #JoseMariChan ♬ original sound - John Bueno

Metrobank wants you to know that YOU CAN do your yearly plans early instead of just doing it in January and feeling like a failure because it's too late. You've got funds available even before the holidays, and being adept to changes before it happens can spell success. They've got the best offers in loans when you want a new home or transportation. Go get it and make that year a successful one today!

Sunday, July 02, 2023

Do you often ask yourself if you deserve it and want to buy something off the shelf? I'm sure you do, but hopefully not end up getting a dent on your wallet. You see, GoTyme has been quite a buzz these past few months especially after launching their 5 percent per year interest rate on savings accounts, which a lot of you probably have taken advantage of (right?) especially during these hard times.

Well the good news doesn't stop there because GoTyme Bank recently rolled out "Nice Card, Nice Rewards", a crusade that shows the multitude things you can do with the GoTyme Bank Visa debit card. This means you'll get more things out of your everyday transactions. Imagine carrying this stylish debit card for your shopping, groceries, home items and still could give you rewards points! Every tap, swipe, or online purchase gets you Go Rewards Points which you can use for more discounts, free rewards plus perks on your purchases.

For starters, how about putting in 3 times the Go Rewards points on things you purchase from Robinsons Supermarket and its subsidiaries, the Marketplace, True Value, Toys R Us, even Caltex (double the Go Rewards points every Php 300) if you usually go there and pay for products and pay via GoTyme Bank.

Aside from that, you can use points for cash. You can utilize existing Go Rewards points and send it to your GoTyme Bank Everyday Account so it could earn 5% more like your other funds. You can have it debited to your account directly or use it in lieu of cash in partner merchants, whichever is convenient for you. It's a good way to save money for that gadget you always wanted or that bill you wanted to pay for online. GoTyme Bank CEO Nate Clarke puts this as something that delivers substance, a card that is truly rewarding after using it for partner shops and merchants. Yes, it looks good on the outside, but it's even better if you're into shopping or travel, you can't compare it to new cards out there.

If you haven't downloaded the app yet, go search it on Google Play and install this today. They're good at the rewards game and it shows how debit cards now have more power with GoTyme. You can open an account in under 5 minutes, if you're interested visit gotyme.com.ph or follow their channels by searching gotymebank on other platforms.

CIMB: Helping Filipinos Find Their Purpose

Tuesday, February 28, 2023

Millennials make up 47 percent of the workforce in the Philippines and during and event in BGC today, CIMB and Ateneo Resource Center held an event called "The Pursuit of Purpose: Discovering Filipino Millennials Views in Living A Life with Purpose".

Bunny Aguilar of CIMB Bank says "We are sharing the results of the white paper we've done in the last year amon millenials through Ateneo Business Resource Center. This is important for us. Life and career has been different post pandemic, how are they after ECQ? When COVID happened, it have us an opportunity to think of our careers. There's a phenomenon called "Great Resignation" and much of the millennials are not like the previous ones, and this white study tells they always ask the reason "Why?" and if what they want is for personal development. Knowing what we know now, we took the opportunity to tell them that we do hear them, and help them fulfill their life's passions. We want to raise awareness, educate the market on responsible credit borrowing, on saving money and going digital. Aside from the literacy programs, we have deposit products that having higher than industry rate compared to usual banks. From application to fulfillment, it's all online, all digital. We took processes even for a loan all digital. When I joined the company, I knew how they give accessible financial solutions to help fulfill all those things digitally. We always encourage our customers to start early, no matter what age you are, and see how compounding effects of interest rates have on one's savings. There's no other day than today to fulfill one's life purpose."

Dr. Norman Tanchingco of the John Gokongwei School of Management at the Ateneo adds "Institutions can help. This tells how personal values, finances play in career decisions. For career fulfillment, a lot of millennials are in the middle. More males were more fulfilled whilst more females were unfulfilled. They also are actively pursuing their life purpose, they also find a lot of progress in their chosen fields, and the biggest limitation is finances. They also think their work reflect their values, but 83 percent are always feel stressed (more females than men) and financial situation is the main reason as stressors. Much of them also agree that they live paycheck to paycheck. Much of them have a goal of having their own savings, with the premise of having a better financial standing particularly this year. They also have agreed on the notion that financial resources mean better opportunities. They believe passion and finances go hand and hand. Women are more worried about it, while men stay in jobs that have more social impact, in change, power or status. They also continue to strive for life's passions, in a more calculated way. It is a snapshot of post pandemic context. This will change over time."

Vijay Manoharan the CEO of CIMB Philippines says "We will continue to provide solutions, make conversations about living their life purpose. We commit to empower more Filipinos, especially in the financial services sector. We have been in the PH a little over 5 years ago to solve a problem, digital banking, access to it, and now it's not new. No other banks was doing that, now it's easy to open, also no fees, and now they can save without the need for minimum amounts, much simpler, making us one of the fastest growing digital bank in the region. We allowed them to access credit easily so they can get what they want to do, and shape the next generation of Filipinos gain knowledge of our unique services. To share what we do and have it be appreciated by students, start using something that would better the lives of Filipinos. Ateneans can also become part of CIMB, we can equip them knowledge in the financial industry."

CIMB is taking on a role on an advocacy that champion the life of Filipinos. They will continue their financial literacy programs. Being the biggest only digital bank in the country, they worked with Ateneo to make sure they have products and services that benefit more Filipinos. Soon, they will also have a CSR and sustainability program aside from the financial education they are rolling out now, so expect even bigger things with CIMB.

Wednesday, December 15, 2021

Unionbank has accelerated transformation not just of the company, but the whole banking industry. They brought power to small and medium enterprises, brought access to even the remote areas, and improved the lives of countless Filipinos. They have been instrumental in the growth of companies, even government agencies, and has been lauded not just in the country but the whole Asian region.

James Illeto VP for Corporate and Media Reputation Management of UB says "This is our last E Talk tales and is about gratitude for everyone who supported us this year. What an exciting year it has been with Unionbank, we received awards, has been the most recommended bank in digital. We can't wait to unrap more."

Ms Pinky Webb says "2021 has been a banner year for Unionbank, with life changing projects, it redefined what banking is today."

Henry Aguda the Senior EVP and Chief technology Operations Officer for UB says "Unionbank has blased the trail in digital. The pandemic has created this shift, the way we interact, transact in the financial sector. We always had the forward looking view and we have thrived during the hard times. In 2020, we focused on our digital strengths, we increased by 300 percent in customers and is still continuing to 2021. We're seeing the light at the end of the tunnel by Q2, even if we had to face lock-downs. I'm glad to say we are ending the year on a high. Only Unionbank has been given a digital bank license as an actual bank. We now have a San Pedro Innovation Campus, a major step for us that we have it during at a time of crisis. We have superior innovation, registering 21 patents, 18 more in the process supporting inventors, think tanks, and more. We also have network and branch transformation with 100 percent uptime, data center connectivity, 150 branches transformed of over 195 branch nationwide. We also have Instapay 2.0, leading the way of transacting electronically in the marketplace. We also have the SME Banking Platform so MSME's have a way of IFC Investments, and banking apps that answer their banking needs. We also have our tech advocacy about wealth management, it is educational support and trained 101 digital transformation specialists, with thought leaders in government included. We also have UBX platform signups, where thousands of MSME's got their help. Customer accounts also increased, phenomenal performance even during 2021's pandemic. Our customers, employees and stakeholders have always been there, thank you!"

Arvie De Vera the Co Founder and CEO of Union Digital says "We wanted to have the company as a digital bank. We are now a tech company and a bank. What differentiates us is that we exist in the cloud. Our infrastructure is not as huge, but because of it, our services are lower priced. With digital, people can be assesed by transaction data. It allows us to imagine a future with little or no fees through blockchain. Send money in minutes, where customers can get the solution in a few taps. The future is for banks to become digital, but it is a very complicated process. The newly transformed Unionbank, UBX and Union Digital did a hybrid approach, to embrace it, to adapt to it. It can address the needs of a digital world. Fintech has enormous growth, blockchain adoption has grown 36 times and open finance has been prioritized by Banko Sentral. The Philippines is the 4th fastest digital economy in the world, and is expected to reach higher in the next few years. The P2E has also grown, 40 percent of it is from the Philippines. The Filipino is driving it again. Our country remains the top in social media usage worldwide, even Ecommerce adoption and the opportunity to grow is great. Unionbank is the only publicly listed bank that is granted a digital bank license. We also championed open finance in the country, it enables companies to work together better. Our API's can be used in real time, in a secure manner. It supports the industry and empower its growth. At our heart, we give what they want, what they need in security and proper governance. We have solid leadership, one who understands how to be first movers."

Albert Cuadrante the Chief Marketing Officer says "The year has ups and downs, but we are happy we are on our way to recovery. The digital economy has increased, in ecommerce and food, adding 12 million just this year, around 17 Billion dollars in the digital platforms. That's 4.3 percent of the GDP of 2021. The DTI targets to increase this and it is a validation to see our platforms continously improve over the years addressing our clients needs, to thrive in the new environment. Our fintech groups, including Union Digital, will push boundaries in the coming year. There will be more good news, have a safe Christmas!"

They want to continue to be ahead of the curve, follow customers where they are heading to. They don't want to lose the personal touch, to have everything they do revolve around the needs of the customer. Right now, UB is actually working on things like the METAVERSE (they actually have a branch now but are still working on it) and is optimistic that they would be able to deliver their services not just for their customers now, but the future. EON is growing, Unionbank Digital is also growing, and people want digital capability even before the pandemic, it's not gonna close down. Keep focusing on the customer, and everything else will follow. They need speed, decisiveness, whilst being customer centric.

PayMaya is Too Good to be #2

Wednesday, December 01, 2021

Well yeah, I am kinda also in a rut when they said that PayMaya is number 2 for the Financial apps in the country. I've been using this service since they started, and til now, I've been able to conveniently pay for all my bills via the PayMaya app.

PayMaya also has almost no downtime, which is super convenient especially for me who do transactions in the wee hours of the morning. They also have a lot of cash in channels aside from online banking so I can just walk to a store and load up when I need it. Most of it is free too so there's no additional fees (most of the time). They also have the capacity to transfer money to other accounts, send it to family or friends, even causes you believe in like during this pandemic. PayMaya also has the ability to pay for your bills, government agencies, or various shopping apps that you also go to when there's a sale. You can also monitor your transactions because as soon as it goes through it reflects it on the app. Registering is a cinch and you can get your account verified if you need more features unlocked. They also value security, something I put a lot of importance to, so thanks PayMaya!

Go download the app now on Google Play or the App Store. Go to PayMaya.com if you need more info!

Insurance Crisis in the Philippines Addressed on 11th Unionbank E-TalkTales

Friday, September 03, 2021

Woke up super early for this but had my cup of coffee and forgot to login promptly for the 11th edition of the E-Talk Tales hosted by Unionbank. Guest speakers were UBX President and CEO John Januszczak, Coherent CEO John Brisco and Chubb Deputy Regional President for Asia Pacific Glen Browne.

They discussed the Philippines low insurance coverage and how much Filipinos have not seen the benefits of having one. John Januszczak says "It's not easy for most people to have a basic understanding of how it can be valuable for them. Providers should device a way to make it easier for them to discover it. You have to make them relate, have it personalized and not make it complicated. These days, some products are being shown the same way as it was 50 years ago. It should be easy to understand for customers, agents and advisors. Mobile has been a great enabler in the Philippines and we have to leverage that more so for internet connection, I believe there are creative ways to do it. We're bringing products to make the transaction faster, to make it easier for them to buy insurance. There is indeed a lot of upside in getting insurance."

John Brisco, CEO of Coherent says "What we do is make it easy for them to create products by providing data, help them interact wtih insurance and UBX without hitches, make it accessible for everyone. We want to help integrate them into the UBX ecosystem and act as the facilitator between them and UBX. We want it to be as seamless as possible."

Glen Brown adds "Insurance is seen as something extremely complicated, when we first partnered with UBX, what we could do here was different from other countries. We'd learned across Southeast Asia that we need to bring the best solutions to more that 50 Million signups in the region. There really has been a change in the last 2-3 years. Chubb continues to provide world-class products that fits in that experience and Coherent is bringing the technology that makes that happen. It's quite unique."

With the way things are, there are lots of room to grown in the insurance business in the country. You just have to have the right partner to make it work.

BDO and Huawei Join Forces to Provide Inclusive Financial Services for Filipinos

Saturday, July 24, 2021

If you are currently using any form of online banking in the Philippines, consider yourself lucky. Over half the population only have access to that and although a lot of Filipinos have access to the internet and social media, a lot have still no access through financial technology.

We have all been very active online which you probably see on online voting competitions when a Filipino bet is included. BDO knows at the current rate, they need to improve more of their services so Filipinos have access to it. April this year, BDO launched BDO Pay which is a mobile wallet solution so more people have access to digital banking and contact-less payment systems. This expansion was made possible through Huawei's OceanStore Dorado All Flash Storage solution which does reliable, secure and future proof way of storing information on the cloud platform. It safeguards all of the data of the bank including transaction history. This solved a lot of BDO's infrastructure needs over the years and since business grew, they needed to scale up fast, safe and efficiently.

The old system needed automation and this solved it including operation and maintenance of the system. Previously, they got hounded with complaints on certain occasions that they did it through manual ways. Digitizing made it accurate, easier to diagnose and very efficient. BDO also upgraded to Vitrual Private Cloud as part of their innovations, and with Huawei right by their side, they'll maintain BDO's leading post as the largest bank in the country.

Leading Digital Adoption: Unionbank Celebrates 39th Anniversary

Wednesday, January 20, 2021

Digital banking has made the challenging days of the pandemic a little bearable. AI and block chain has also been useful to transform this all as Unionbank leads the way for the digital adoption of the Philippines. They are currently celebrating their 39th Anniversary and with this, they continue their mission to spearhead digital banking technology with you their customers in mind. They are also making good headway.

Mr. Henry Aguda the SVP and Chief Technology and Operations Officer + Chief Transformation Officer for Unionbank says "Exciting things are happening with Unionbank as we celebrate our 39th anniversary. Our celebration started with the Unionbank SME Business Banking app. We currently rank 2nd in Instapay which means we are second with regards to usage among other companies. This allows our SME's to have banking capabilities just like the big boys. We also launched BUX and it has already 50K onboard. We also launched SeekCap and Sentro so SME's can get capital and sell bulk as they scale products into the market."

They also addressed Senator Sherwin Gatchalian's case and said "We value the privacy of the good Senator and we have made warnings for our other clients. These hackers prey on emotion, use other sites or emails, use and copy Unionbank's logo to do phishing. While we cannot disclose details, we are working with authorities to run after them. It is not a security hack. We have the transaction details and logs and we are not resting til they are held accountable. We are working on it til now. We ensure the processes are logged to protect our clients. It's a shared responsibility of both us and our clients, so make sure you use different emails for online banking and the regular work. "

"Are we ready? Yes, we have the support of our regulators and a framework that requires us to report incidents like these. There are a couple of bad actors/criminals that make this difficult but we do not succumb to them. It has increased the awareness of our customer base, we are becoming vigilant, to more digital transactions with multiple validations. They will only prey on the weak, but everybody is coming together to push out these criminals out of the banking industry."

"We went through this digital transformation 4 years back. We made sure we prepared for AI. We created the organization to aggregate more information and curating them with other agencies and corporations in  compliance with the National Privacy Commission. It's a long journey but now we are here. We are going to tailor fit customer products that are most relevant to our customers. This also protects transactions going to the bank. From laundering, to fraud, this is anticipated as patterns, all of which are in the initial stages. Our advocacy is to be more sophisticated than criminals, AI is helping us with that. We are now at 170 institutions and continue to scale up, Unionbank has launched PHX. We hope to share this with the government and our corporate clients."

When asked about education campaigns for less tech inclined customers, he says "The best awareness campaign is making the app as easy to use as possible. We took a look at our GSIS customers and worried they won't be able to use the app, our program "Convert" taught them to use the digital platform. Now they can bank at the comforts of their home, but most of them still prefer to go to the branch. When we got them onboard though, they became our ambassadors."

Their mandate today is to move the Filipino into the digital space. Their platform made it possible to reach a lot of people. They are one of the most successful banks in the ASEAN and this transformation has driven them to do it til now.

Unionbank is excited to continue to advocate digital banking services. The end goal is where their customers would move to. Nobody gets left behind. They could move much faster but they have customers who prefer the personalized service is. They are still there servicing customers during the pandemic, the branches have been able to accommodate seniors. They are letting their customers grow with them, and that's a good thing.

You'll see more of that.

Shopping Online with Convenience

Tuesday, November 19, 2019

What does it take to make your life easy?

We’ve all been there. The long lines at the bank, the long lines at Meralco, PLDT, Manila Water, the Jeep stands, the bus or Grab and you feel your life is in shambles. Fret not, for we the Filipino people have a choice. All it takes is a little effort of doing everything online because it’s convenient. It’s why fintech corporations and digital wallet apps are abound, because it is possible... and we should take advantage of convenience it gives.

I personally use GCASH to pay for everything. Actually, I feel it’s more convenient compared to my own personal banking app. Other than that, the perks are insurmountable especially when they give me rebates. Oh and banking? They do that too with a few clicks. I can also transfer funds to merchants if I plan to shop, I also transfer funds to my friends when we’re splitting bills after a night of fun. That means I don’t line up to pay for bills anymore. I can even pay in the wee hours of the morning without going out in the polluted streets of the metro. I can even link my bank account and load up my own digital wallet. It’s even doubly safe because I don’t have to take a physical credit card out just to pay for stuff as merchants already have QR Codes handy. You can also load up in convenience stores, mall concierge areas, and these times, you don’t have to sit in two hour traffic jams to do all these. Now isn’t that a better life? Indeed, so go download it off the app store, the Google Play Store because it’s easy. You can even plant trees with it no joke!

That’s better, more convenient and stress free. Wouldn’t you want peace of mind?

PSBank’s New Pa-Send Service

Thursday, June 27, 2019

These days, banking convenience should be a service that everyone enjoys. Gone are the days where you have to go physically to a bank just to do a simple transaction, it must be accessible wherever and whenever you need it. This is where Philippine Savings Bank (PSBank) makes it easy.

The thrift banking arm of the Metrobank Group just recently launched their “PaSend” service. It allows you PSBank depositors to send instant cash online 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Now you can simply choose to send money your relatives, friends and business transactions via the PSBank Mobile App. Recipients can simply withdraw the amount from any PSBank or Metrobank ATM.

Albeit not completely free, the service is at a very minimal cost versus other domestic remittance platforms in the country. The catch is, they do not even require the recipient to have an existing account via PSBank. A perfect way to move the economy without alienating those who do not have bank accounts with them or elsewhere.

You may download the PSBank Mobile App on the App Store of Google Play. If you’re already registered to the service, simply click on the “Pa-Send” option, choose the account where your money is coming from, indicate the amount to be sent, nominate a pin for the specific Pa-Send request and the person’s Full Name and Phone Number. It will be validated by the bank and send a second pin for the recipient. You would then need to communicate the first pin so he could go to a PSBank or Metrobank ATM to get the cash via PaSend/Cardless Withdrawal option. If the amount is withdrawn, an automatic email/SMS will be sent to you to make sure they’ve got it already. These layers of security are so assuring!

Note: you can only send from Php 200 to Php 5,000 and only in a specific amount of time. PSBank’s Senior Vice President and Marketing Head Mr. Noel Tuazon says “There are about 77% of Filipinos who still do not have a bank account. The PaSend service hopes to address the growing need for low-cost cash remittance without the need for an existing deposit account. This is our way of making true to our brand promise of keeping things “simple and maaasahan”.

The PaSend service is just one of the various digital initiatives of PSBank. You should try it out for size and become a part of the digital economy. You can use it to gain a broad range of economic activities that use digitized information as key factors for production and finance, especially for the micro businesses in the country.

Home Loans In One Day: It’s Possible!

Friday, September 07, 2018

Everybody dreams of their own home, I know I do. In the eve of high inflation rates, unavailability of cash, we all wonder how other people do it. Why is it easy for them to have loans from banks and why is it faster for them to actually get one while your bank is still taking months, maybe years to even approve papers. Are you already getting confused? Are you at your wits end? Maybe it’s not you, maybe it’s your bank.

Banks these days are so strict, when you’ve got all the requirements and funding to back it up, why all the fuss? why all the delay right? Imagine all the wasted time involved when you only wanted to have your own home. Now don’t you worry, because I heard it’s possible now with one of the country’s best Philippine Savings Bank (PSBank).

You see, PSBank has been in the industry for years and they are the consumer banking arm of the Metrobank Group so that at least assures you of good consumer practices and proper funding. They now have a policy of a 1 day credit decision on home loans if you are purchasing new condominium units or properties from their accredited developers. Now that is just unprecedented in the Philippine banking industry so just imagine how much help that would make for prospective home buyers across the country. PSBank’s SVP for their Marketing Group says “We have streamlined our own internal evaluation processes so our banks could decide on home loans as fast as possible. We want to make it quick and simple for all our customers so if you are planning to get condo units or properties from our accredited developers which includes Federal Land, SM Development, DMCI, Megaworld, Rockwell, Ayala Land Premier, Avida Land, Alveo, Amaia and a lot more (others listed on their website). This is our promise.”

Aside from that, they have perks for those who would want to pay in advanced as they have equivalent rebates for it. They also have very flexible terms so for those who want something easy on the pocket, all you gotta do is ask. You can even do payments online or on mobile, you can also pay through post dated checks, over the counter method or Bancnet capable machines nationwide.

Now don’t fret if the condominium or house unit isn’t on the list because if that’s your case, you’ll be still viable for their standard 5 day process. Approval will be sent via sms and this also applies to new home loans, house and lot, duplex, townhouse, vacant lots or small to medium construction. They have been doing this kind of approval for Auto Loans too and if there’s one thing you should try, give your neighborhood PSBank branch a visit and make your dreams come true!

Give it a try!

The New EON E-Money App

Friday, April 07, 2017

It looks like Unionbank's EON card is changing shape, taking the challenge of the ever changing nature of internet banking and wanting to answer the needs of their clientele.

"Unionbank is challenging the status quo, we listen and we will do EON banking differently. It's a selfie bank, you can now bank for your self, with yourself, reinvent it and cocreate with us your bank and your future. You are part of this." - Dr. Justo Ortiz

"In 1999 people were starting to buy online, to pay stocks, and people were not using credit cards because of the fear and introduced EON Cyber Accounts. It was used for online transactions, used for EBAY, and word of mouth used and endorsing our product without us knowing who they are. There were early adapters and EON was their preferred product. People were finding use for it, it was taking a life of it's own. That's when we realize the spirit of Co-creation. They made use of EON more than what we intended, and that's why we brought in technology so they can be involved. We made sure they have the hands on experience and tell us what they need."

"We found out that our users are using EON for a lot of other things that what we expect them to be. We tried to find out what they need and made the platform, passwords were then very troublesome to change and that's when we thought of Selfie Banking. We got the best in class technology and put it in an app. This is the same technology as with Homeland Security in the US. This the new EON E-Money Account. It's the first of it's kind that you can buy in a convenience store. Most of our users are also buy online locally, as shipping is also a problem, now we have MyShoppingBox through the EON E-Money account. They want to use and transfer money too, so we researched this and got people to a security standard that people would be comfortable to use it. So far we are enhancing that technology, to make it more reliable. At the core of it is the experience, we had to make sure our customer experience is attuned to that, in real time transactions. We are getting to see a digital bank, a digital experience that does everything real time 24/7. Analytics and geo location too. It's just gonna get better everyday." - Paolo Baltao EON's Head Advocate

You can now download the app on the Apple Store and and Google Play today!

Free Access on BPI Express Mobile App for Globe Subscribers

Monday, May 05, 2014

An afternoon of good news was up at the Holiday Inn Suites in Makati as Bank of the Philippine Islands and Globe announced a spectacular deal that would make your smart phones a tad better. Whether you are postpaid or prepaid subscribers of this network, you now have access to the BPI Express Mobile App anywhere in the Philippines and Globe won't charge you a single cent for it. This means that you can have banking transactions right on your smart phone and make inquiries, bank transfers, payments and other services as easy as a flick of a button. Ms. Nabbie Alejo, the Executive Vice President and Head of Retail Segments and Channels Group for BPI says this partnership only has everything to gain and will make it easier for their bankers to access their bank accounts, transfer money, pay for bills and reload mobile phones when you need it and where you need it. It's the aggressive stance of BPI that makes it all worthwhile to be with them as they continue to make the banking experience as easy as 123.

I always use this app to monitor my investments and check my balance if I need to. They've also updated the app recently so it goes with the iOS7 design, look and feel. It also is responsive, fast and efficient if I wanted to bank wherever I am in the country. Now, it'll be more accessible to the public because it's totally free! I have to tell you though that just don't use the location services on the app so you don't get charged for that (the ATM locator) because as I've been informed that isn't included. Everything else is fair game!

Daniel Horan, Globe's Senior Advisor for Consumer Business says that this partnership with Bank of the Philippine Islands enforces their customers digital lifestyles. Today, mobile phones are not just about calls and texts, but people use it for financial services as well. Globe is steadfastly growing smartphone consumer base and they will definitely benefit from this wonderful service.

BPI's Senior Vice President and Electronic Channels Group Head Manuel Tagaza says that BPI has always been at the forefront of introducing new channels for their clients. It is a must for them to access their accounts conveniently. The BPI Express Mobile app is the number one finance related app on the App Store and it is doing quite well. They are now just extending their portfolio and always trying to make sure that the technology available in banking would be available for all their clients. They put effort in making collaborations like these because it makes everything easier. A feat not available in other banks in the country.

Congratulations BPI and Globe on this wonderful partnership! Together, you are making the Filipinos live their lives better!
