Sky Launches "Sky On Demand"

We were at the Sky Cable On Demand launch earlier and they were really keeping things from us prior to this day. The invitation was misleading and they were talking about other things on the venue before we heard it from the CEO himself. Finally, it's something like a Netflix/TIVO service by Sky Cable, though you have to have Sky Broadband with it. Aside from that, it also works with the proprietary box intended for it. 

Ross Legaspi of Sky Marketing says "This service is simple, it's like having IWantTV on Sky Cable On Demand. You have your own profile, you can have it customized. You have every show from the most popular network in the country, but now you'll have tons of channels that are exclusive to SkyCable Broadband. You can have a marathon at the comforts of your own home. You can even stop it, then go back and play where you paused the machine when you partially watched it".

It's easy to watch now, you can watch it in your own home as Sky On Demand becomes available in your homes soon. There's a one time fee of 499 and about capacity, it's going to be unlimited because it's going to be in the cloud. It will soon be available by March and the plan is to implement it in the whole country where Sky Broadband is available. It's going to be one rainy night. As we brace ourselves for the effect of Typhoon Ruby aka Hagupit, we might also encounter inconveniences at home like losing our cable services because towers, posts might fall off, get broken by strong winds expected today or tomorrow. They will follow and make all remedies to make sure everything would be working but of course we have to consider this is something beyond their control. Smart Launches Newest Innovation: The Smart Bro Dashboard

When I saw this sign right up front in Rockwell I couldn't believe what I was seeing. It seems impossible in this day and age to expect this in the Philippines but it looks like residential lines will be having the needed boost it deserves from SKYbroadband. I can't believe it! But it is true!

Experience ESPN HD, SKY Broadband at SKY Zone!

I want my own HD TV! That's exactly what I got imprinted on my forehead when I visited the SKY ZONE facility at the posh Powerplant Mall in Rockwell. I had never seen channels so clear in my entire life! It was like everything was just next door and it was just a flat glass screen separating us. I didn't know we had this technology within out reach through SKY CABLE HD!

The thing is you can only experience this high definition cable TV viewing plus high speed broadband Internet through the SKYZONE Mall Blitz on May5-6, 19-20 at the Ground Floor South Court of the Power Plant Mall in Rockwell. The afternoon simply just awed me about how fast the connection was; it makes my office's high bandwidth connection be put to shame.

Standard Definition Cable Connection had slight delays and it was really showing pixelated parts. Although it showed quite a decent thing on HD TV something was definitely missing. Shouldn't this be crisp and vivid?  The game was there, (Thank God for ESPN!) but the people and the whole venue seemed too blurry, I had so many reservations about what I've been watching at home. Shouldn't HD be clearer?

It was crisp as a potato chip fresh out of the oven. Even on an angle it still had that feeling. Maybe if I watched "the ring" that time Sadako might really come out! Haha! It was really LIFE LIKE!

Even my blogger friends tried out SKY Broadband facility had a grand time downloading/streaming movies in a couple of minutes! We blog heavy in photos and didn't see it lag on the Mac computers there. You've got to experience it all to tell the difference. Imagine 112 Mbps! Good thing they are even planning to have them brought to different malls soon!
