Gonuts Donuts Love!

It's been a while since I've gotten hold of these. Sweet, fruity and whimsical... I love my Gonuts Donuts of course! Well since it's almost Valentines day, they've got these cute and lovely donuts to offer this love month!

Oh these lovely confectionery wonders will all be available this February in flavors like berry love,cupids delight, polka dots,three hearts, three rosettes and two hearts. You haven't seen anything like this yet this season and who else to give you what you want but Gonuts Donuts right? =)

Twinkling Treats From Gonuts Donuts Plus!

I got so excited a few days ago because Christmas officially started in our home. Clad in my jammies and rags I woke up to quite a spectacular package from Gonuts Donuts!

Wooohpie! I was spinning around, jumping up and down and running around the house because I was so happy to receive gifts this early! Oh the joy, I just couldn't contain it! So I did the next best thing, I opened up the box and my eyes... just went teary eyed!

Now tell me, who in the right mind won't be happy seeing these awesome Gonuts Donuts treats on the table? Oh and may I just tell you, it was a dozen of these gorgeous donuts sent my way showing how much they really love me! You just instantly feel that happiness just resides in this side of the world! ^_^

Of course, I had to take a bite at these wonderful doughnuts!

Think about thick frosting with cutouts of sugar based candies that makes you close your eyes and wonder, how in the world did this happen? Then when you are caught unaware, a sudden burst of your favorite filling, the sweet mellow Bavarian, the oozing sweet Caramel and the tangy Lemon Cream. Well, they've got hundreds of reasons why people flock their stores in the metro. But these special ones would probably only last til Christmas season ends.

It was more Twinkling Treats from Gonuts Donuts! I bet these are Gingerbread cookies.

All wrapped up in individual packs are these gorgeous treats that's covered in glistening sugar and frosting. It's not too sweet and perfect for those kids who you don't want to end up with a sugar rush. This is something that I definitely would recommend if you want something to hang on your Christmas trees. Actually I got them all hanged up since then. Well, not really because I ate some of it haha!

I especially love the green one with the gingerbread man on top. It crumbles so slightly just the way I like it. I ate all these three because I need to take photos and sample them of course! :)

Better Alternatives to Chill Spots: Akiba Cafe

It was a nice Saturday afternoon and what better way to celebrate it by going to the one and only SM Megamall and enjoying great food with friends and family. As a rule, we broke the norm and proceeded to Akiba Cafe. It's a small kiosk in the third floor that features coffee, tea, yogurt, cakes and pastries. If you are on a diet I suggest you look somewhere else... You will get more hungry when you see this!

Ambiance is clean, not so many foot traffic so it is the better alternative to congested coffee shops!

It seems that you are highly suggested to say with something to read available for all its patrons.

CAKES

Extremely cute and cuddly you've got this Kawaiken Puppy Cake. A vanilla chiffon cake which you can purchase 1200 whole, 130 per slice.

 We had this for starters. Of course desserts come first! The Green Tea Cheesecake retails for 1200 for a whole cake and 130 per slice. This is one of their best sellers!

If you're up to it and you are a sweet tooth they suggest you get one of this crunchy sweet Cream Puff Cake for 1100 whole, and 120 for a slice.

 COFFEE

 It's something that would keep you warm inside. This Nutty Macademia Kohi retails for 130 pesos.It's way better than other establishments that's got the same flavor. This was good!

This Mount Fuji Kohi retails for only 140, The difference is this Fuji Kohi is sweeter; but the macadamia is fuller bodied and nuttier!

 Tea

 Nope, it looks like a beer but it isn't! Trust me on this one because this is my favorite. The Jasmine tea trifle and Macha trifle is pretty, jasmine Is fragrant and  sweet I love it!

 The Macha is smooth, you'll ask for seconds!

These Trifle flavors are all available on their store. All foam and topped with green tea powder, this best seller looks very promising and they've got so many things offered today for SM Megamall's Mega Food Sale!

Ice Blended Yogurt Drinks

 

Macademia Yogurt is ice blended, Macha yogurt is too. Both drinks retail for 150 for those who love the tangy taste of Yogurt!

You can never go wrong with 100 %Japanese imported ingredients and just look how meticulously they prepared everything right? If you have nothing to do on an afternoon and you feel so stressed with work, this definitely is the place you'll love! It's quiet, you can people watch plus enjoy every bit of it! Japanese hasn't been this good in a while so please visit their store now! Hurry because they've got specials while they celebrate with SM Megamall's last day of the Mega Food Sale, 50 percent off the next trifle you order. That's like buy one, take one! =)

Figaro Lovin' This Summer!

Figaro just came out with some of the best things this Summer!

I got first dibs on it too together with some of my peers, but in a nutshell everything was spectacular! I would probably end up having dinner in this establishment a LOT! Shall we begin?

Chicken Barbecue! Yes you heard that right, it's that sweet roasted chicken plus a dollop of gravy and Java rice; plus, it doesn't cost that much at P150.00 and treats you with a free lemonade! It also has side servings of string beans. With or without the gravy it's one of the best things they have on the menu!

I don't really know what struck them to make these gorgeous plates for dinner, but this gorgeous plate with Dory Fillet and Pesto Cream really was my favorite. I adore basil based sauces and this thick one was just homey even if it was amazingly made in Figaro. You win this for only 150.00 pesos also plus a free lemonade as well!

This already went out a couple of weeks ago. Imagine molten fudge over a thick layer of mousse based chocolate icing and moist cake. It costs quite minimal, you should ask for this together with hot coffee which Figaro is known for!

For fish lovers they have these items in Spicy Tuna while the other one is your favorite Asado. Things with Pan De Sal are obviously staple. One Pan de Sal comes with unlimited coffee refill at 99 pesos, whilst it turns so good after 11am because it'll only cost you 45 pesos for this yummy Pan de Sal; it's indeed a steal!

Figaro's lemonade is quite nice. Tastes like the hand squeezed thing you love since you were a kid! This is perfect to cut anything sweet. Quite a tangy number! Affordable too if you get it with your dinner meals come April 11!

They have these new frozen tea items on the menu and its got lots of treats inside of it. Check out the boba balls and small bits of jello!

This isn't Pandan, one taste of it immediately takes you to summer time. This is wintermelon and it only costs 100 Pesos, both of them do. Isn't that just what you want when its hot and humid outside to quench your thirst? Add to that those little sweet BOBA Balls that bursts in your mouth after each bite!

You should definitely watch out for it's launch come April 11, 2012! Life is so good at Figaro!

Launching New Drinks this Season: Figaro!

The holidays wouldn't be complete without tasting Figaro's famous blends! I've been a fan of their coffee concoctions, sandwiches and meals but they haven't let down yet as I participated in getting first dibs on their new drinks to be launched in December 20, 2011!

For those who are tea lovers out there, these new flavors are surely going to tickle your taste buds and give you the awesome flavors you look for in cold beverages. For those who don't want anything caffeinated on their drinks, this collection promises a variety that you'd adore because one of my favorites TARO is also on the menu!

First up is Strawberry Milk Tea with Yakult. This beverage entails a hint of Yakult flavor goodness and some tangy aftertaste because of the Strawberries. Mine also had some strips of Egg pudding and nata de coco so you kind of get something interesting in your drink in the middle of all that TEA flavors you'll LOVE! This beverage cost only a measly 90 pesos, imagine that!

The second one is a Raspberry Milk Tea with YAKULT. It's pale pink and quite tangy right from the get go. The raspberry quite overwhelms the tea experience but it's all good. If you like that tanginess along with your drink plus the smoothness of milk tea then this is perfect for you! Have your fill with nata de coco strips that's chewy and sweet just the way you like it! This beverage costs 90 pesos!

For those who want a sweet-tangy combination this will surely light your fires up! The Strawberry Lemon Iced Tea would really be mistaken as Pink Lemonade but it is more on the sweet strawberry side. The lemon rind they put on it makes it a very fragrant drink and you can really smell the lemon all throughout! It's light and perfect for those hot afternoons, or late night drinking when you don't want caffeine infused ones. It only costs 70 pesos!

Now comes the great ones! How can you not like TARO?! It's that oriental root crop made into powdery milk consistency made into a drink and you can really TASTE it! I love how it's earthy smell and aftertaste makes everything extra sweeter. Black pearls and slivers of Taro pudding on the bottom makes this quite filling too. For those who want a better alternative to the caffeine drinks, this is one healthy number you can do. This Taro Pudding Milk Tea costs only 90 pesos! Yeah baby! Yeah!

For the Pièce de résistance! This awesome crunchy frozen Taro drink tremendously had the votes of everyone who tasted it. This is by far my favorite too among the drinks presented to us that evening. It's topping alone made a quite remarkable conversation piece because it totally made the drink's texture quite different. Add to that the frozen drink's TARO base and this will prove to be one successful combo~ so if you want my opinion get this one ASAP! This drink costs 100 pesos and is called the Taro Pudding Chiller Feast! Definitely number 1 on my must buy list when visiting Figaro next time!
