LUMOS TABLET: The Perfect Blend of Function and Fun for only ₱6,999
Monday, April 07, 2025
I'm a writer, content creator and jack of all trades. We're pretty known in the "industry" for dishing out stories fast. I often write about events that I go to a la minute. It's not magic, but hard research done before interviews. It's also about taking notes, and wanting to keep the exciting things happen, with the goal of telling folks while it's fresh, and as soon as I get it. Arguably, in this day and age, you can't discount the fact that being "fast" counts too. It's now an established workflow.
We often write with a desktop/laptop computer at our home office. If I'm out, I'd pull out my notes and checklist and constantly write with a smartphone with real struggle. I could have carried the laptop with me but with the travel I do and my diagnosed sciatica, it's not going to be a comfortable solution. This is where the LUMOS Tablet comes in.

Screen size is good. I can see what I need to see for work or play.

Carried this and used it before an event, finished 3 articles with it.

Case cover fits like a glove!

Light weight, even has a front and back camera!
This hails from the same brand of projectors I've had the pleasure of using in the past (for work and entertainment). The LUMOS TABLET has a 10.1 inch screen, capable of playing 4K videos, has 8 GB of RAM and a 6000 mAh battery (for hours of use), but still kept quite affordable. I could watch on streaming apps, watch YouTube videos, or enjoy hours of entertainment with Karaoke or play game apps too. This would be an ideal device for what I'd want to do since it's got WPS Office Apps (that has a word processor and presentation software in it), and is lightweight. It also fits in my bag, and since it's a bundle, comes with a Bluetooth keyboard, a mouse, pen (editing would be a cinch!) and its own case cover. It works like a mini laptop, but works without the worries of it being too big.

It can be cast to a Smart TV, I see what I exactly have on the tablet to the TV I have at home. YouTube, Netflix, Presentations all work!
Surely, this could also work with kids who would need to study or folks who would want to cast on TV's for presentations, everyday leisure watching of your favorite K-Dramas, series, movies, reality shows and more. They've got lots of folks, celebrities, YouTubers and Influencers who have attested, given their trust and confidence to it. It is after all, the perfect blend of function and fun. If you would want to get one, simply visit their official website HERE.

Lenovo Showcases Newest Yoga Laptops for those who CREATE
Tuesday, September 13, 2022
You can do so much more with a Lenovo, this is what was cemented during an event where they showcased their latest laptops together with their tech partners in Blueleaf BGC. These are the latest ultra slim laptops that have Windows 11, for those who dare to create.
The Yoga Slim 7i Carbon makes those meticulous pros that look for form and function a little at ease. It might be 13 inches, but it's equipped with a 12th Gen Intel Core i7 1260P processor which makes work tasks or editing a breeze. It's super light at 960 grams, uses magnesium alloy for its body plus carbon fiber which makes it easy to bring along if you're working remotely. It's got a 2.5K PureSight Display and a 90Hz refresh rate, those games you play every once in a while that needs better resources can be done without worries. It uses an Intel Iris Xe so if you're fond of watching dramas or editing videos, this can perform for long hours. It comes in Moon White and Cloud Grey colorway and costs Pho 77,995. If you're looking for a laptop for studying and casual gaming, this would fit you nicely.
If you fancy the Yoga Slim 7i Pro X, you've got enough power for content creation, audio processing in one unit. It's a monster equipped with an Intel Core i7-12700H Processor so you can run software without slowing down other things and finish the job early. It's a bigger rig at 14.5 inches, has an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 with a 4G GDDR5 VRAM which you can use for heavy graphics and hungry apps. The 32GB LPDDR5 RAM and 1 TB PCIE SDD can get your projects stored, including photos, videos and documents without the need of other storage devices, as it is quite massive already. With the Lenovo X Power, your power use is efficient, something propreitary which you won't find in other brands. Those GPU and CPU needs will be managed, and you get the things done efficiently. I could see this be used by pros, who need 120Hz Refresh Rates, something Lenovo PureSight could only do (I'd be worried gamers would run out of it). It weighs 1.6KG, for what it can do that's still light. It costs Php 91,995 though which may be hefty for some, but it'll be worth the investment in the long run.
These are just some of the things that Lenovo has up their sleeves, who in the right mind would not want that? Uf you;re seriously considering to have one, check out lenovo.com/ph/en/yoga as they have the features listed there. It is available in the Philippines now!

UNBOXING The ASUS VivoBook S14
Thursday, November 05, 2020
I've been looking for a laptop computer and this was a good day to test out a new laptop computer from our friends at ASUS. This is the new ASUS VivoBook S14, one of the few laptop computers that is equipped by an 11th Gen Intel® Core™ i7-1065G7 Processor.
I have decided to do an unboxing video for it, so please indulge!
This is equipped with an NVIDIA® GeForce® MX350 and an Intel® Iris Plus Graphics card. It also comes in different colorways namely Indie Black, Gaia Green, Resolute Red, Dreamy White. I love this one the most because I can stay in my monochrome palette (see my blog is also monochrome haha) and I can just jazz it up with stickers later so it would match my personality. It actually also comes with several stickers on the box and I was happy with the choices.
The screen has a frameless NanoEdge look with an 85% screen-to-body ratio. I'm gonna be able to have more space in it to put files when I do decide it's time to have a messy deskptop screen lol. Currently, this has a 500 Gig SSD drive and it's apt enough for office work or school. I would suggest you get a separate drive if you're planning to use this for creating videos as that might not be sufficient for HD or 4K quality. I can carry it but if you're the type who archives these things, that might be the solution. I also like the fact that I can transfer files, video and photos as it still has full I/O ports which includes USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C®, USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, 2 USB 2.0 ports, an HDMI, an Audio combo jack, a MicroSD card reader and a DC-in for the power. The connection utilizes an Intel Wi-Fi 6 with Gig+ which means it employs the 802.11ax standard. They really took time to put technology here.
This weighs nice at 1.4kg, I could easily pick it up and change spots with one hand while I carry around my bag with the other. Imagine how that applies in a coffee shop, it'll be easy anywhere.
Honestly, I haven't had the chance to use this for gaming but with recent checks, this can do Valorant, Genshin Impact, GTA5 too which I plan to do in the next few weeks. Overall, this impresses me most with how it can handle common office tasks, pretty fast in fact and that's what I do currently. Actually, I finished this blog post in a few minutes because of it, isn't that a good thing?
Watch out for more tests, see you on the next one!
