Development Plans for Tagaytay Highlands Bared

Thursday, February 13, 2025

The famed mountain resort and leisure destination Tagaytay Highlands just rolled out its plans for the 1,200 hectare property. This land that sits on Cavite, Laguna and Batangas which still asks to be developed further, this is where Highlands Prime Inc. comes in, they're the subsidiary of SM Prime Holdings.

The plan includes to put the property filled with commercial establishments, provide services for its residents, space for recreational activities, but still keeping it sustainable. It's going to further improve the mixed use plan they have for The Highlands, Midlands, Midlands West an Greenlands which are districts of Tagaytay Highlands. I remember staying in The Highlands a couple years back which was filled with Swiss looking chalets and log cabins, filled with pine trees, a panoramic view of the mountains, something unbelievable to see often for folks from Manila.

The Midlands on the other hand will be paradise for Golf lovers as their Midlands Golf Club will draw in fans of the sport but still offer a place of refuge with stunning views of Taal Lake, Mount Makiling and forests along the lake. Luxury villas, a place to camp out, plus a long stretch of residences that promote health, wellness, while nestled in the mountains. Midlands West on the other hand will have open parks, so you get a mix of modern amenities and nature. The Greenlands remain eco friendly, wide and apt for outdoor activities which will remain this way for a long time. They will foster conservation efforts to maintain the natural beauty of the property, with a goal to reach a million trees before 2044. As of now, 490,000 sits in it. There stands more for future generations, and this is just the start for Tagaytay Highlands. There's more low density condominiums being developed so each resident would experience that mountain resort living they've dreamed of.

This is just the start for Tagaytay Highlands.

Home or Investment for OFW's: Asterra

Tuesday, February 21, 2023

We all have friends, relatives who have worked abroad and much of them have sent money home so their families live a comfortable life, pay for bills, the education of their kids, put food on the table and roof over their heads.

Asterra is the most recent affordable housing project of Vista Land and Golden MV holdings. This is owned by Manny Villar who has seen continous growth in the market. This will be laid on ground in different parts of the country and is planned to be offered for those who are just starting a family, young professionals, those engaged in businesses, and overseas Filipino workers who's dreams include a home of their own in thriving cities across the Philippines.

This is certainly something that they see would be a very good investment opportunity for OFW's too either to rent out or have it be a place of their own. It's an opportune time to do it now since the real estate market is still pretty low in Asterra North Luzon according to their Division Head Neil Almonte. Rentals have certainly been a lucrative way to become a passive income if you're out of the country. They have really well designed condo units with concierge, security, and a community that is close to markets, the church and places you can go to relax on your spare time.

If you're interested, you may check out their official website asterra.com.ph or AsterraOfficial on Facebook. They can also answer your questions if you think the time to go and invest here is now!

Vista Shaw

Thursday, March 20, 2014

People who are in the mid stages of their life usually think about investing and making their money's worth. They want to have something that's going to earn them a living while sitting on their porch and having a cup of tea. Wishful thinking for most people but some choose to act on it. There's one place in Shaw Boulevard that can probably make your investment wishes come true. It's right within the metro, accessible to almost all modes of transportation, near schools, international standard groceries, government offices and business districts. A hop. skip and stones throw away from a great neighborhood is this promising project called VISTA SHAW; where you can be at the halls of history and rooms with a spectacular view!

Here's a short look on the 1 Bedroom Unit

Their 1 Bedroom models have around 30.40 - 38.03 square meters. I thought it was going to be small but for a bachelor or a small family, this place is already good. I also think if you've got some visitors over, around 4 people for an intimate dinner... it can absolutely fit that. You can use the Sky Amenities if you require something bigger. That top floor in the plan has full blown pools on it, add a spectacular view of the city and it'll be dreamy!

Then we checked out the 2 bedroom unit.

The 2 Bedroom unit is around 45.70 - 50.40 square meters. They limit around 20-23 rooms per floor so you are assured of a not so dense floor area. If you are not much of a cook, you can always go downstairs and get pizza, coffee and what not from the commercial area right in front of the building. They have already set up shop like Starbucks, Breakfast Club and Project Pie there. You can fool anyone that you cooked for them with a hot meal at home. There's a fully renovated historical landmark there too that's been hidden from the public for years now. The Laurel Mansion where we had our lunch that afternoon was shabby chic!

The property is at S. Laurel Street corner Shaw Boulevard. If you are from Makati or Ortigas Business Districts, you can live in the middle of everything. They've got a pretty good deal waiting for you so go ahead and give them a call if you want to invest your hard earned money for something worthwhile.

Living the Life in Makati: Avida Asten

Friday, September 20, 2013

Wherever you are in Makati, it's all prime lot. Whether you are in the residential area or right along the artsy fartsy Malugay district, you are bound to see this structure towering over the landscape. If you are a junior executive looking for a great place to stay near the business center of Makati, you should definitely check out Avida Asten.

Now that you've seen that, I guess I don't have to convince you no more. Fact is, it's near everything you need. They've also got a Tower II in the works which would probably one of the few things you should ask for if you're not in a hurry to get one and plans of investment.

We went to their official launch a few days ago and it was nice. They've got a few projects already up and this was just the right thing at the right time to shoppers passing by the posh Greenbelt 5. If they're serious about purchasing their first home, nothing beats location, proximity to everything in the community and transportation in this part of town other than Avida Asten.

Even the host agrees.

They even got fashion, art installations put up on site to see a glimpse of what its like to live in a place like Avida Asten. I guess no jaded guy would probably regret getting a place of his own in this part of the city. Then they were ready to unveil the look of Avida Asten.

Then they announced that they'll probably have 32 more projects planned and ready to sell out this year. Now who told you the country's in a slump when we're obviously booming in the real estate and construction sector. Mind you this is just the tip of the iceberg. If you're interested, they can plan out what terms you wish to have these condominium units.

Just Tower 1 alone would actually mean 644 residential units which comprise of Studio units, some also come in  1 Bed Room, 2 Bed Room, 2 Bed Room loft unit, and 3 Bed Room loft units that's perfect for a family. Unit Size Ranges from 23 square meters up to 115 square meters. Price ranges from Php 2.3M - 12.8M.

Who knows, you can probably break a good deal with them too! Maybe it's right for you!

PS

I've got a friend who can get you the best rates possible

Because There Is An Amaia For Everyone!

Wednesday, May 01, 2013

We visited an Amaia site a few days ago to check out what they had to offer. They call this particular project STEPS and it's located a few meters away from Loyola Memorial Park in Sucat. I am actually trying to look for a condo unit my self so I listened quite attentively for what this organization had to offer, and for starters I was impressed because this project was not particularly "high rise" but belong to a more quaint "medium rise" kind of structure. Although they have that on their portfolio, we took some time checking this out and price wise it was worthy of my attention. We got schooled first.

Good looking Sixto Sengson from Ayala Land who's in charge of the Southern Luzon projects showed us how much care they actually give each parcel of land and how they make communities out of it. They also showed a preview of their other properties and got us to understand that the Amaia line would be affordable, and you can get your own home even if you are just starting.

A Paradise Called Alta Vista De Boracay!

Thursday, April 04, 2013

Boracay has been a fun week for me and I got to see more than the usual White Beach when I got there. I was able to experience another hotel far away from where the action is for a little rest and recreation. Starting off with a spectacular view and rooms I didn't know existed in a place like Boracay.

This is ALTA VISTA DE BORACAY!

I had my friends with me so we were a pretty rowdy group. Checking in on Alta Vista de Boracay was a cinch. Just present your documents and they'll have your room ready in a jiffy.

The reception area is also huge. It's where you can get free wifi and meet some strangers perhaps if you are into that.

And I went back at night to check out the place. It's very nice. The overall design of the place played more on the "Moderne Filipino Contemporary". It's a mix of both natural, wood, a mix of old French pub styles and materials.

They actually have around 15 of these structures which houses 500 rooms all in all. Most of their clientele are foreigners but I wish people notice that it's actually perfect for group stays. They have two types of rooms leased which are Deluxe (PhP 7,320.00 nett) and the Loft Suite (PhP 10,980.00). These room rates are inclusive of breakfasts for two, taxes and service charge. If you are keeping in more family members inside the room, they have extra person charge of  PhP 1,830.00 which is also inclusive of breakfast. These probably change with peak and non peak seasons so I suggest you contact them for reservations or other packages.

With AVIDA it is HOMEPOSSIBLE!

Friday, March 15, 2013

Did you know that you can own your own condiminium unit if you spend 250 pesos a day? Yeap! You heard that right! And it's right here in Avida where affordable living is at its finest!

We got the chance to take a look around their property in Avida Towers Centera near Shaw and Pioneer Streets in Mandaluyong City. A skip and a hop away from EDSA, Manila's major thoroughfare; it was so nice to see there are residential options that would bet fit a family, a bachelor or even those who just want to invest in properties.

The First Space

Take a look at this space which costs around 1.5 Million Pesos.

This also has a bedroom which I absolutely loved. It was spacious enough to have several people walk in for a small gathering. It could be intimate, but I felt free because they put in windows on this property. It felt so nice to see it make the whole venue a tad warm in the afternoons. I'm dreaming of lounging on the chairs already. I had to take a look on some more spaces that they have to offer.

AVIDA Towers Centera: 3D Street Painting Festival!

Wednesday, December 12, 2012

2 days of the hot afternoon sun, I don't know who can actually weather that but I'm impressed with what I saw a few days ago. The place, was the promising Avida Centera situated right at the heart of Mandaluyong City. The buildings are still under construction but they have been holding events there since its inception. This time, it's the 3D Street Painting Festival!

20 entries from different colleges and universities in Manila vied for the 75,000 peso prize money for the theme "PASKO  NATIN" and as you can see these works of art are no ordinary! Each was made to look life like as if everything was being lifted off the ground. The judges themselves had a hard time choosing from the entries because it also was different when photographed. You had that full 3D effect when seen on the PC rather than in real life.

The Judges had a hard time choosing who wins the 75,000 prize money!

Contestants AC from UP Diliman, PUP Katha Art Kits, Art Men PUP Manila, UPFA, PUP, Linya from PUP, FEATI Art Group, Guhit Visual Arts from PUP, Pabida from UP Diliman, Creative Arts Group from PUP, PUP BSID, Dakila Art Teams, ITeam, Lakandayang from PUP, TATSPROOF, MAN-O-WAR from UP Diliman, UNO, ARTCOLORES from URS Angono, Team Pintados, and OBRA LIKHA from EARIST made their entries the day before and most of hem spent overnight just to make sure they finish the projects before judging commenced. The judges were no ordinary too because some of them have work installations outside the Philippines, from esteemed broadsheets and admired artists themselves. It was so nice they looked at each entry in its entirety and made sure they look at it with 3D in mind. Soon enough they were able to choose who won and got third place (who gets 30 thousand pesos), Second Place (who gets 50 Thousand Pesos!) and the Grand Prize who will receive 75 Thousand Pesos!

I was a little disappointed not all schools like my alma mater UE didn't join the competition because I'm pretty sure they can give these guys a run for the prize. PUP had a lot of entries because they've got a whole organization supporting them on this contest alone. The veterans even made legwork to partner up with other newbies so they get the chance to experience the same enthralling work these artists put into one work of art. They learn in the process and even get needed experience to make it in this industry. Just like AVIDA Centera, they hone these talented individuals and make them better citizens through community activities that one should expect while living in their condominiums soon!

Congratulations to the winners! Here they are!

Congratulations to UPFA composed of students from UP Diliman for winning the 75,000 peso prize pot. You have a great career ahead of you now. Last year's winners had several TV guestings and work offered to them by multinational companies and started a very lucrative career so it doesn't just stop here. These guys were even first timers and they were so happy to have won the 3D Street Painting festival! Try and visit the Avida Towers Centera showroom if you want to see these entries too as they are displayed at the back of it. Simply ask your friendly agent for a tour.
