Is this THE END of Luxxe Wh!te?!

Monday, March 10, 2025

Folks were startled with the recent announcement of FRONTROW International (on their socials) about their flagship product Luxxe Wh!te. This was also seen at the Edsa-Guadalupe area where their billboard  stated "Goodbye, Luxxe White". FRONTROW founders RS Francisco and Sam Verzosa has yet to issue statements about it because their community remains nervous for their premier selling products that have lead the market for over 15 years.

A list stars like Regine Velasquez, Cha Eun Woo, Gretchen Barretto, Daniel Padilla, Catriona Gray, Vice Ganda are some of the brand endorsers, and folks have continued to trust them, why are they mum about this?

Are they keeping a huge secret?

Congressman SAM VERZOSA Promises More Inspiring Stories on Season 3 of "Dear SV" at CNN Philippines

Friday, August 18, 2023

I've been looking forward to see Congressman Sam Verzosa who represents the indigents, of those residing in urban locations, the youth and the elderly through the party list "Tutok To Win". He's starting the third season of his public affairs show "Dear SV" shown on CNN Philippines during his birth month, and is quite excited about the plans they have for future episodes.

The show plans to put the young Congressman in immersions, to live with the actual people they plan to help. To give you an idea, they meet people from all walks of life. The goal is, to feature their inspiring stories on why they continue to make a living despite life's challenges. Cong SV says "If the old, the kids work hard doing these things, I'm sure the most able bodied ones would be inspired to do the same and help others."

Here's part of our little chat that afternoon

He treats all these as blessings and shares "My family keeps me grounded, they keep me focused on my goals, my advocacies and purpose. I have a lot on my plate, I am just lucky to have been able to do a lot of these because I believe God put me here. He gave me opportunities to be able to share these to the world, and help others,to also change lives. I am happy to see that people are also doing the same after seeing the show. From our company alone, I've seen them on the road, going out there and helping too. I want to do this for the rest of my life. I'm just maximizing what I can do for my community and also make changes in laws, I have a duty to make a movement because I know my purpose."

When asked about his stint at "Tutok To Win" a few years ago, he says "Kuya Wil actually trained me, he asked me to sit with him during one show, that's where I learned and practiced at home. Everyday is an experience, you can feel what they feel when you are there. I get to see their happiness, their sadness, hosting my own show had me ask people about their struggles and get to know them."

About his motivation, he adds "I am happy about what I'm doing, aside from doing business, I help people, I get to change lives, I've been given a platform to be able to be heard even with a wider audience. I'll try doing this to change not just communities, but bigger ones and the country. As for now, I'll do this because I found my purpose, in life you always ask that question, there are tons of people that have more work ethic and because I have the capacity to help, I'll do it."

If you want to learn more about the causes he supports and foundations he's helping, make sure to watch "Dear SV" startiing Saturday night of September, at 7:30PM. This will also be replayed on CNN Philippines the next day so make sure you catch it!

I'd like to take this bit to thank Congressman Sam Verzosa (who also Co-chairs Poverty Alleviation) for being so nice earlier. He gamely answered questions even after the presser, to say the least, it was refreshing to talk to someone albeit super successful but still remained so grounded. Again, thank you!

Xiaomi Launches Lightweight Phone: The Xiaomi 12 Lite

Thursday, August 18, 2022

Just got off the Xiaomi 12 Lite event streamed on the Xiaomi Philippines Facebook page today. Their best news is about the new Xiaomi 12 Lite that will be released in the Philippines. Xiaomi also has introduced several home devices that are part of their aIOT smart products which you'll love!

With what they talked about, I was most impressed with the 32 Megapixel Selfie Camera, a 108 Megapixel main camera, 120 Ultra Wide Camera, plus eye tracking technology in their newest flagship device. It also has HDR in the front camera so you don't lose details even if you're against the light. It's got vibrant colors, even on videos and very comfortable display no matter what condition there is while handling the phone.

It also has fast charging capabilities even if it's lightweight, a whopping 67W charging that can get your phone working fast if it runs out of juice. 13 minutes to fill 50% battery, doesn't that sound amazing?! With the adaptive technology, it also slows down when it gets to 80% and preven overcharging if in case you leave it plugged in overnight. It also has 5G support, which means you'll get faster data download and upload rates because the hardware has the capacity to do it.

This is slim, fits in the pocket, 120Hz display if you are a gaming or video enthusiast, so no small detail is gonna be left unturned. That's the Xiaomi 12 Lite, and endorsing it in the Philippines is GMA actress and IT girl Gabbi Garcia. This was all announced this evening.

The new Xiaomi 12 Lite is available in 2 storage sizes. The 6GB+128GB retails for Php 20,999 while the 8GB+128GB costs Php 21,999. The Xiaomi 12 Lite will be available for pre order on Xiaomi authorized stores starting August 19 up to 26, then regular price  after that. Those who choose to pre order will get it with extras like the Xiaomi Tyvek bag, a Xiaomi Pinoy Bunny, a Xiaomi Nightlight, plus Xiaomi Ceramic Mug shirt, notebook or pen. That's a treat for those who love Xiaomi.

MOMOLAND in the Philippines!

Monday, December 03, 2018

This presscon was one of the most difficult to cover because security was so tight that even the regular press people were not able to go in the venue, I couldn't breathe at times. After going inside, I saw Frontrow executives being interviewed for what seems to be a very momentous occasion as they open their new office in Quezon City at the corner of Mother Ignacia and Sgt. Esguerra.

But it was all worth it because Nancy was there, I dunno who wouldn't fall in love with someone like her. Even if it was just a short presscon, and only a few people were allowed to ask questions, seeing them all in the flesh just made our days okay. I really wish the ones seeing them during the meet and greet today would be able to at least spend a few seconds with them, they really are phenomenal people in and out of the camera. RM Francisco divulged the group visited fans in a local hospital even if they chose not to tell the public, that seemed to us how genuine these girls are, inside and out.

My position wasn't ideal but I swear, it was so nice to see them all even just for a few minutes. Nobody got a selfie I think, only one person during the whole crazy event. Check out our coverage here!

I wish they could come back in a not so crazy day and just enjoy the country for a few days. They would surely enjoy it!

Wednesday, November 28, 2018

After changing peoples lives in wellness and business for many years, they are now going further with projects and charity work. The growth they had with M Butterfly, it was all about giving back. They now have FRONTROW CARES.

To celebrate, the biggest charity concert festival in the Philippines will happen very soon.

Sam Verzosa the CEO of Frontrow International says “In our intention to do charity work, we used to approach organizations and we asked if we can help ourselves, why wouldn’t we help others. Our artists are chosen with the biggest names in the industry, so it is going to be very big.”

RS Francisco adds “I remember since Ondoy years, we used to stay in an office that is smaller than this, nobody believed in us before but even in calamities, we chipped in what small things we had and tried to help in many ways, even in Yolanda, we prepared our Christmas party and with our extra budget, we donated and reached out a TV network where we formally have given an amount. Now I realize it is very fulfilling, with the help of our media friends, we are hoping to reach out to more people so we can support their cause.”

On December 16, 2017, they will be holding THE BIGGEST CHARITY MUSIC FESTIVAL OF THE YEAR wherein they will give all proceeds of this concert to chosen organizations. They have already helped 28 in the past but added to that, they are also helping Bahay Aruga and Anawim (home for abandoned women and elderly) among others that they plan to help. Artists like Parokya ni Edgar, Jake Zyrus, Andrew E, Gloc 9, Sponge Cola, Chicser, Callalily, Ex Battalion, Billy Crawford, Sam Concepcion, Luxxe Stars, my rock god Ely Buendia and some other surprise stars. Tickets cost GA 1,500, Mosh Pit costs 5,000 wherein you will have access to bars and food stuff all day event. This will be at the MOA Concert Grounds.

Jake Zyrus says “I am thankful for all the people who stayed in my life and this 2018 I have had that, the support, recording my next album, work abroad, shows elsewhere. My book I am Jake has been released, I know there are people out there that are going hardships like me, I wrote it to be the voice of those who couldn’t do it, I want to be their support.”

Want to help an organization? Maybe this is the way to enjoy music then help them right?

Chef Rosebud and Cheska Kramer Shares Tips On How To Save

Saturday, September 13, 2014

I wrote about Electrolux a couple weeks ago about how to save electricity while washing clothes as part of the Electrolux Save & Share Blog Series. It's a campaign vent to have wives and people at home to save money and precious time by making household chores simple and carefree. We also got to interview their advocates Chef Rosebud Benitez and Cheska Garcia Kramer to help us and share their thoughts on saving.

You see, my Sister always had a hard time paying for electricity bills at home. The love we have for her always tells us to help her when she needs it. Our water bill looks a wee bit high too than the usual amount we pay for these past few months. This just means we have to take arrangements in using electricity and water at home. We asked how Chef Rosebud Benitez and Cheska Garcia Kramer about how they do it in their homes and this is what they've got to say.

We often use appliances at home,  sometimes we have a choice and sometimes we don't. How do we save on electricity? How do we save on water? How do we make sure that our utility bills won't spike up?

Chef Rosebud says "We've recently changed all our lights to LED to save on electricity and we make sure that we remove the plug of all appliances not in use. We also just had barrels installed that act as a rain saver to cut down on our water bill."

Cheska on the other hand says "I have a baby and my kids and they always use air conditioning. I’m not so strict with that. Although at night, I really do my rounds. I make sure all the lights are off, all the faucets are closed properly, there are no leaks, at the same time I do the washing of the clothes and ironing of the clothes on schedule. With that, we are able to monitor our electricity and water bill. I’m not the type of Mom that save utilities if it's for my kids. If they need air conditioning, I allow them to.Doug is the one who chooses our appliances but he always consults with me. In our family, we really practice him to be the head of the family. Big decision making and stuff like that, Doug is the one who does the research and at the same time, he will consult me. He’ll tell me “Hey honey, this is what we need to buy” then we’ll think about it.

Although he makes the big decisions, he also relies on my opinion. So when it comes to buying appliances, we always try to look for one that has the energy saving factor. So from our aircons to our refrigerator, because the refrigerator consumes more electricity right? - it has to be an energy saver. This goes the same for our washing machine. So we do really save a lot with our appliances because we consider that before purchasing anything."

It can be a challenging task to save when you have so many things to spend for at home. Why do you think is it important to save? Can you share tips on how people can do this?

For Chef Rosebud, it's quite easy. She says "It's very important to start saving for the rainy days. First thing one needs to do is to list down one's income and expenses, the essentials and non-essentials. Once you are clear about all the essential payments to be made, the next step you need to take is to manage all your expenses in an effective manner."

Cheska advises couples and says "Well for one, we cannot tell what the future holds, right. So that’s why my husband and I, we are really a team. We make decisions together and both our opinions matter so when it comes to saving, we are realistic also with our expenses. We are honest enough to say the exact time for us to buy, or it’s not time for us to be spending. So what we do is we make sure that, of course we have our monthly expenses and then we also set aside for our investment. So when we have enough money, we have the business. We put in in that business of ours and make sure that we are also able to save there to make our business grow. So the money for our business is only for our business. So whatever money that business makes, it only goes back to the business so that it will grow. We also invest in insurances for our children, for their education and health and that also goes for Doug and I. We also get our insurances, we also spoke to a financial planner and through our financial planner, they were able to see what we can set aside from our money so that we can be able to invest in our future and in our children’s future. So hand in hand, Doug and I talk about how else can we save, how else can we make sure that our children’s future is secured. We want Kendra, Scarlet, and Gavin’s future to be secured. So we’re very realistic with our spending. We’re very open to telling each other when time to spend and when it’s not. So that’s when our budget comes in. ‘Coz basically when you’re a married couple, you already know what your budget is. Like in one month, let’s say you probably need a sure amount of P20,000. On top of that, you have to know when to divide it, if it goes to our business or to our investment.

Both have to be realistic and both have to be open or honest to each other when it’s time to spend and not."

I think I can relate much more with Cheska because my Sister doesn't have savings or thought about investments. I think she lacks control over spending and doesn't even prioritize an exact amount when the time comes that they'd have to pay for utilities. She also decides with the people she loves and makes it a point to have specific budgets run on a monthly basis and still have more just for financial stability and freedom. Not to undermine Chef Rosebuds way, she gave us really cool ideas especially on itemizing and listing down expenses versus what we earn because that is as important as any other plan if we want to succeed and save on little things like utility. Those little things over time actually can be a big amount. It goes to show that it is achievable and possible to do it in a Philippine setting. I guess the next thing to do is talk to a financial planner and see how my Sister would be able to save and invest her hard earned money.

Wash Clothes and Save More with Electrolux Appliances

Tuesday, September 02, 2014

It's one of the not so liked chores that I would want to do. Washing clothes can be really tough for me especially when we all started with hand washing. These days, men can only think of one thing to buy their wives something to make things easier and sure enough, like in any home we just want a tough washing machine that can do the job. That's where Electrolux in the Philippines comes in. They used to go house to house with their men but today, you can easily find them in malls and stores when you need them, where you need them.

They now make heavy duty washing machines that does everything automatic. Something smart enough that these washer and dryers have their own Load Sensor which lets you know the amount of detergent and water to use when you put it in. It's well designed button system also lets you know what particular time to use for certain fabrics and what temperature to use as well. It also uses Vapour Action in one of its settings to get the ironing job later on easy. It shouldn't be hard for anyone to use without even looking at the manual. The Electrolux Stainwand top load type of washing machine on the other hand uses a retractable ultrasonic wand and T-Drive technology to easily get rid of those hard to remove stains each time you spin the clothes and make an effort when it's time to wash them. It smells fresh and you save energy by using the hardware efficiently with the only needed water and detergent no matter how big or small your load is. After all, smart people use smart appliances right?

Make sure you do the deed when choosing your companion in the hardest chores in your home. The last thing you would want to have is a laughable white elephant in your home that's not much use for the rest of your family. Take a moment and see what Electrolux can see in your home and it might be the greatest decision you'll have for a long time. That's the greatness that only Electrolux fabric care appliances. You know how it works, test it out on stores and see the difference, capisce?!
