BRIA Homes Display Top Designs at 26th NREA-DHSUD Housing Trade Exhibit

Wednesday, July 20, 2022

Taking some of their greatest work on display at the Glorietta Activity Center was award winning housing brand BRIA Homes. This was part of the recent 26th Housing Trade Exhibit hosted by the National Real Estate Association and the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development. This was the fruitition of efforts by the two agencies after they held an online convention with developers and stakeholders mid June and held this physical event last July 1st to 3rd in Makati City.

The online event talked much about the effects of the pandemic, inflation, laws with regards to the conditions in the industry. The physical event this July was a golden opportunity to showcase their best work to prospective home buyers and investors. Lots of people had queries and the friendly BRIA Sales Team were at the venue to answer them on the spot. BRIA took time to curate their most in demand house models, a tall tale indication of how they remain bullish in the market despite circumstances beyond their control. Making sure people get quality but value for money homes were a sure crowd pleaser and deals were made too right then and there.

The event was graced by Makati Mayor Abby Binay, Vice Mayor Monique Yazmin Lagdameo, Senior Vice President Benjamin Felix, Jr. of the Pag-IBIG Fund, NREA's Marcelino Mendoza and Glorietta GM Katipunan.

If you're looking for affordable homes in different cities nationwide, check out the BRIA website or their other channels online. If you are seriously considering a property already, they've got ways to reserve a BRIA Home on their website too so you don't have to go to their offices physically and keep yourself safe at home.

CinemaOne Originals Festival 2017 at Ayala Malls

Tuesday, November 14, 2017

I was surprised to see tons of people watch one of the Cinema One Originals Festival 2017 entry "Si Chedeng at Si Apple" starring Ms. Elizabeth Oropesa and Ms. Universe 1969 Gloria Diaz. It's one of several films that will be shown until November 21. So if you haven't seen any of the entries, now would be a good time to watch these films.

Trinoma was grand, I could imagine watching these too in Glorietta or in any Ayala Malls. Trinoma has dedicated Cinema 2 while Glorietta has Cinema 4 which will show these CinemaOne Originals Festival 2017 entries. So if you're raring to see other films like "The Third Member", "Cain at Abel", "L'Amant Double", "Nay", "Nervous Translation", "Paki", "Bundok Banahaw, Sacred and Profane", "Changing Partners", "Throwback Today", "Historiographika Errata", other previous remastered entries, some foreign films who also joined the screenings, and other short films, make sure you look up schedules in Trinoma and Glorietta. I like the movie "Si Chedeng at si Apple" most because of it's plot. The dramedy film really had some really serious scenes and you'll love how the banter between Chedeng and Apple show the values of friendship, love, second winds and relationships. Gloria Diaz became a little unfiltered, capable of being funny at times and completely having the audience hooked on their journey to find a lost lesbian love. I wouldn't want to spoil things for you so you better watch this film made by directors Fatrick Tabada and Rae Red.

Ms. Elisabeth Oropesa was impressive, fully immersing herself with a character that's full of flaws, but completely happy and contented with life, never even looked back after hooking up with a stranger (a fine looking man too). You'll love her and Chedeng, as they tick off things on their bucket list, you'll be eager to do the same thing with your life. Or maybe find a lost love in the process too.

The movies will be shown up until the 21st of November in Trinoma and Glorietta. It starts 12:20pm and screen the last ones around 9:50pm. Hurry because I've seen tickets got sold out last night with this one and the film Nay.

Watch them all this week please! :)

Experience A Sky Alive Weekend at Glorietta

Wednesday, March 15, 2017

Photo from Wikipedia and not mine.
It looks like kids and not so kids at heart will have a grand time at Glorietta in Makati this March 17 to 19 in Makati City. Watch and enjoy the Sky Alive Tour including interactive performance booths from RTL CBS' latest shows like The XFactor UK, Britain's Got Talent, America's Got Talent, James Corden, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and the tons of awards shows this quarter. Aside from that, you and your kids can rub elbows with Zupervisors from KidZania Manila and experience how to run a township, like your own city.

You will also get to see Spongebob Squarepants, and his trusty best friend Patrick Star. Play games and watch them sing and dance, or take time to also have selfies too. Then on Sunday, you can watch Chef Sandy Daza cook his favorite recipes at 5PM. Register early because only the first 50 can get to participate in that demo wherein you can win lots of prizes courtesy of our friends from O SHOPPING.

Again, this will only happen on March 17 to 19, 2017. So if you're not doing anything on that day, rush to Glorietta's Activity Center and experience SKY ALIVE at Glorietta. This event is sponsored by SONY.

You're gonna LOV'EM BLOOMS at Ayala Malls!

Monday, April 11, 2016

Flowers make me happy. The variety of colors, the way they look or even smell makes me produce endorphins more than the usual. Last week, we were surprised by Ayala Malls at the center of Greenbelt 5 with a diverse display of Philippine Orchids, ornamental plants to signify the start of summer. They've been the best looking mall chain bar none, but they made an effort this whole month of April to surround us with lush flora, green landscapes and beautiful gardens. Now how's that for fun?!

All these flowers and more will be now seen in Glorietta, Greenbelt, Alabang Town Center, TriNoma, Fairview Terraces, Ayala Center Cebu, Centrio Mall, Ayala Malls Solenad and UP Town Center. This is part of their Lov'Em Blooms campaign to support sustainable green living and they're doing different events to further celebrate this!

You can now sign up for Green Walks so volunteers from Philippine Native Plants Conservation Society Inc. could tell you about native trees, flora, that can be easily found inside Ayala Malls. They'll also be displaying some of the most beautiful orchids this April 16 at the Fairview Terraces, April 23 at Ayala Malls Solenad and May 7th on the Alabang Town Center. They're also promoting arts and crafts workshops on May 7-8 in Alabang Town Center, a photo contest with Ayala Alabang Camera Club plus art activities on May 20-22 in Greenbelt.

Here's a little taste of what's in store!

Oh and for those who are not blessed with a green thumb (like me I think LOL) you can get tips from Joey Quintana and the whole Alabang Garden Club so they can teach you how to get them survive your hands lol. This will be on May 7th then they'll have a Mother's Day activity on May 8th. If you are fond of tea, Greenbelt has an edible garden on those dates so stay with a bunch of amigas and enjoy it like in England. For those who fancy to get the blooms to their own special occasions, the suppliers, local producers, growers florists, designers, stylists, name it, they'll be in Greenbelt from April 15-17, May 6-15 at Ayala Center Cebu, May 7-8 at Alabang Town Center, May 6-8 at Abreeza Ball, May 21-22 in TriNoma, June 3-5 in Glorietta, June 22-26 at Fairview Terraces and June 24-26 at Centrio Mall. You basically have the whole half year to enjoy these flowers, plants and activities because this is Ayala Malls.

They've got more, so just look at their social media pages today and bloom away!

Converse Releases Chuck Taylor All Star DC Comics Series

Monday, November 02, 2015

I love Converse and they probably are in more or less 20% of my shoe population right now. They just game me more reason to increase that number when they announced the launch of the new Converse Chuck Taylor All Star DC Comics line this weekend. I'm a HUGE Batman fan and seeing what they have released on this day, I was already saying expletives in my head because I loved every bit of it. Check out our video!

DC COMICS x Converse Philippines by kumagcow

The Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Wonder Woman sneaker dons the artwork from the Co-Publisher of DC Entertainment Jim Lee. It's got the character's image on the tongue and sides of the shoe, the logo is also on the actual laces. The laces are also available in black and white so you can change the look depending on your mood. It's available in US 5-8 size, and is very limited.

The Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Superman sneaker on the other hand has artwork by Kenneth Rockfort. You've got Superman on the sides and at the tongue of the shoe. Also, the red and yellow shield with an S on front is prominent. If you're a major superman fan though, I suggest you get the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Justice League too. The design is created by Andy Kubert. The Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Justice League sneaker has got your favorite DC Comics Super Heroes on both sides of the sneaker including Flash et al. It also has black and white laces so you can jazz it up when you see the need to.

My personal favorite though (which I don't have yet) is the Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Batman sneaker which shows the caped crusader flying towards the screen on both sides of the shoe. I also like the semi opaque Converse logo that doesn't bother the whole look of the show so if there's something I'd like to buy, it would be just that! The Superman, Justice League and Batman is in sizes US 7-11,

Check them out at all Converse branches nationwide! It costs Php 3,510 a pair. Get it before it runs out!

Perfect for the weather: Converse All Star Rubber

Monday, October 19, 2015

Most of my readers and friends know that I'm a shoeholic. Let's just say it's a little problem already because I have about 172 shoes from my last count and I don't think I'm stopping. When I was invited to the Converse store in Glorietta a few days ago, I immediately tried to calm myself on what was about to happen. You see, I don't really mix well with shoe stores and Converse is pretty much a staple. I have about 20+ of that already and this time, I'm already shaking because they just launched Converse All Star Rubber. Yes, your favorite everyday shoe just got revamped into a more weather friendly form and they're out on stores right now.

The shoes are quite amazing as it is rubberized on the upper side so it repels water, it's got waxed laces so you'll be dry when it's get splashed on top. It's also got a different lining inside called French Terry so even in this cold weather, your feet is going to stay warm. This is part of the Converse Fall Holiday 2015 Weatherized Collection. You may check out this video I made at the store during the preview.

As you can see, they've got it in different colors. You can collect the Converse Black, Gloom Green, Thunder Grey and Casino Red. I specifically chose the Casino Red because I'm a UE Red Warrior, go figure!

It's wonderful, it's comfortable, it's not too hot actually. I had a hunch it was going to be a little sweaty because of the material, but surprisingly it was totally okay. I love it and I'll wear my Rubber Chucks aka Chucks All Star Rubber whether it's sunny or a rainy day!

Make Your Own Havaianas 2015

Tuesday, May 05, 2015

When you saw this photo, did you feel a little old? Haha I know! It's the 10th year of Make Your Own Havaianas and their doing it in Hawaiian style this time at the Glorietta Activity Center. I've had a few pairs myself so if you're hoarding them at home, take them out and use them on the beach, the outdoors, or just about any place you go and take your Havaianas to.

Aside from the great music, they let us choose our own soles and match them with whatever straps we wanted for it. You can also personalize the thing by latching in lots of pins which you can put on the strap as well.

The pin choices this year are super cool too as they followed the theme, making it extra cool with the Hawaiian vibe. I liked the aloha, the coconut, the camera, the burger, the hotdog, coffee, beach bum, road trip and fish pins personally. They also made us a complimentary hand stamped pin because we were the first people to have it.

I love Havaianas! Thank you for having us to celebrate individuality once again. My pair will be put into good use I promise and if you're looking forward to get your pair, come to the Glorietta Activity Center and make your own pair. There's 12,000 combinations to choose from, you can make your own Havaianas from May 7-10. They'll be at 17 malls anyway so I'm sure there's one near you!

Mahalo! And cheers to making your own Havaianas this year! Thank you to Tasha who made my pair too!

Time To Revisit Heaven and Eggs!

Monday, June 09, 2014

Group shot courtesy of Ruth, Ruthilicious.com. That's Rodel Flordeliz, Earth Rullan and Reg Tolentino.

I've been a regular in this establishment when their store in Eastwood City was still open. I guess they closed down and concentrated on more well earning stores as a business strategy, which makes sense. Together with my other blogger friends, we visited their branch in Glorietta 4 a few days ago. I was there to 1. Check if the food is still that good, 2. To see if my friends would still love it and 3. To see if there's something new in this joint. The Heaven and Eggs branch still carries that rockstar vibe they initiated a few years ago. As with the old look, I got the consensus that we all miss it. You remember that sky blue interior with clouds and cherubs all over it? The good news is, that they are highly considering to bring that back and get a more heavenly vibe since they are an all day breakfast place.

The Food

The food choices was considerably kept in tact because this is what customers want in this place. It's something that we would love to have; like true blue comfort food - one which you can have all day, every day!

Steak and Eggs

Think of mouthwatering perfectly grilled 8 ounce USDA grade rib eye steak served with 2 whole eggs, hash brown and buttered corn kernels. They have experience cooking things like these so it is as lovely as you can imagine it to be. Soft to the bite and had minimal seasoning, prolly simple salt and pepper as a major part of it. The gravy, hmmm... it's not to salty so it goes well with the steak. Pinoys would probably want rice with this but naturally because this is a big cut of steak, we don't have to. Really good. This is Steak and Eggs.

Classic Eggs Benedict

This is their Classic Eggs Benedict. Think of thick sweet and savory Forest Ham slices, lightly toasted English Muffin, soft poached eggs, asparagus spears and smothered with hollandaise sauce. This is also served with super crunchy naturally cut shoestring potatoes. This is the favorite of expats and foreigners when inside the Heaven and Eggs store. The all day breakfast is a reality, they've proven that with this awesome offering. Add salt if you prefer.
