MELAI CANTIVEROS FRANCISCO Excited for Season 5 of KUAN ON ONE and Guest ELLEN ADARNA

Going to another press conference with Melai Cantiveros Francisco made me so excited, I thought I didn't get enough sleep. First off, it's the 5th season of her digital show KUAN ON ONE where she often guests Visayan speaking artists and individuals to the delight of the public. Aside from that, I got to see her again in person (since the last time I caught her was during the 4th season of the same show). I am so happy that the show has already transcended YouTube and are being shown on streaming platforms and free to air TV via Kapamilya Channel, IWantTFC and more. This brought her show to an even large audience, and people are appreciating it even more because being Bisaya is different. Just because you're from the same region,  you immediately feel familiar, which is why they were able to talk non-stop!

Melai was super excited to share the episodes they prepared for this epic season because one of her dream interviews finally came true in the person of Ellen Adarna. Quite elusive to see being interviewed by the press, Melai was able to do it because she's going to talk about non trivial things which Ellen probably was also excited to do. Melai also told us that because they were talking about non showbiz things, they lost all track of time and did it for hours, that it already qualified for an episode the next week. This is the first time that they are also doing it so they're pretty nervous how folks at home would receive what they plan to do come June 9. She also divulged that they will be guesting Paul Jake Castillo and Mark Bautista in the weeks after that (plus a lot more to look forward to!).

Melai has really become so attractive for endorsements including her family which she's so glad about. She also told us how they became so  engrossed with Korea, and said their whole family is being tapped by the Korean Tourism Organization again (they have been for several years!), and they'd gladly go there for much needed family time too.

All the success she says has always been attributed to God, and she promised that everytime she got to talk, she's always going to mention how thankful she is for the blessings. Evidently, she has been blessed, but has never changed since the day I saw her come out of the PBB house. She also acknowledged me and her fans (yes Melason!) for believing in them, and continuing to support them all these years. 

I asked her about her family and she said Jason is involved in businesses right now and would rather keep it private. The kids are also doing well, but she teases that they probably have an idea on how famous they are and enjoying it. Sometimes Mela even initiates photo opportunities, because people tend to be shy around them. Super cute!

Melai may have gotten accolades and success in her career but has never changed who she is as a person. She's still that kind, happy lady, who's going to make sure you won't leave her show without laughing crazy! Thank you Melai for always being like that!

"We Will Survive" Bids Farewell

The Melai Cantiveros and Pokwang starrer "We Will Survive" is on their final week and to thank everyone, they got in on their presscon this evening. 

All the way from the scenic province of Albay, the two ladies have gone through troubles in family, love and relationships but weathered through it all. Their friendship has been tested quite a number of times but still stood through all these because after all, this is their ultimate friendship goal.

Now, they're loving life with their husbands Edwin (played by Jeric Raval) and Pocholo (played by Carlo Aquino). They have also showed insurmountable care for their child Jude (played by Josh De Guzman), but then Maricel got into an accident on their wedding day. The series also stars Bea Saw, Regine Angeles, Ahron Villena, Viveika Ravanes, Bing Davao, Alcris Galura, Joshua Zamora, Regine Tolentino and Ms. Vangie Labalan.

On the finale, they promise to make it even more exciting and during the presscon Pokwang mentioned "Don't ever miss the last few episodes because the writers have really done a great job with the story. We were not disappointed with it when we read the script and you'll know if Melai's character will wake up or not, or if they're really going to end the story happy." Melai adds "Working with Carlo and Jeric was so awesome because you get to eat a LOT. His Dad even prepares 3 Kilios of peanuts so everyone in the set could have something to eat. We didn't have kissing scenes because we were keeping it safe even for the young ones to watch. I will really miss working with Mama Polwang and I hope this isn't the last time. We will remain friends."

Forever: The Jason Francisco - Melissa Cantiveros Nuptials

Hello people! :) It's time! 

I was invited a few weeks ago to a very special event. It's the wedding of Jason Francisco and Melissa Cantiveros. I love these two and you probably know I've been covering them on fashion shows, movies and events for a long time. For us, the people reading this post right now... it's but a fantasy for us to see them end up together... and yes this has been fulfilled.

I went to General Santos City in a heartbeat by booking a flight a few days after. I've never been to this place before. I didn't think about the events that I've cancelled, or the tons of backlogs I have in this blog... I just felt I had to be there. I felt if I missed this, I'll be getting tons of hate from Melason fans all over the world LOL (jowk).. but really, I just wanted to go there because I consider them my friends. It was like a special day for them and I didn't want to be second guessing at home and make nganga. People were asking me if they paid for my fare and hotel, I politely said no... I just felt, I just got to be there because I love these two. Okay, enough of the drama and let's go back to business. I know you guys are waiting for this!

The blow by blow accounts I made on twitter by the way were all true, but I'd be able to tell the stories with photos now. It's time!

Jason and Melai Spotted 10/29/2013

Hmmm.. You guys probably know that I've been trying to find latest photos of Jason and Isay for the longest time. Last one wasn't mine and twas a couple BTS shots of their prenup. I haven't seen them for a long time and I was so sad. Honestly it's okay with me because i'm sure they've seen a LOT of people... They've got millions of fans but I was so happy to have met them again a while ago. 

Jason didn't recognize me but for me that's okay. Isay had to remind him who i was and i figured i had to re-introduce myself. Maybe i figured they have met so many media people in their lifetime and I'm just a cute blogger hahahaha

I was so happy to see them in the ABSCBN lobby when I got down of the elevator. I immediately snapped a few shots and felt that was rude of me... Naexcite yata ako hahaha... But really when I saw them I immediately turned into a fan. I wondered why are they here? Do they have a new show? Are they doing something new? I got no answers lol pero okay lang :) just seeing them was enough for me. :)

Isay was so nice. She said she remembered me hayyy... Look at her holding her tummy. I am so happy for these two. Hopefully we can talk a bit more soon about their baby and plans after the wedding. I hope i can get to cover that too. Hay :( so I'm just sharing these latest photos with you guys so you know how they look like now. Yun lang po hehe. Do you remember the first time you've seen them? When was it? What did you do!? :)

The Melason Prenup Shoot

I have been waiting for this... And it's time! :)

I might not have been able to shoot them personally but am really super happy for these two. You and I know how much the journey has been hard for these guys and if you ask me, this should have happened a long time ago. They're finally getting married! =)

I woke up this morning being tagged to two photos showing behind the scenes shots of their prenup shoot and I must say this is pretty impressive. The set design, the concept and execution is so phenomenal... I'd like to thank @melasonbaby on Twitter for providing us these shots! 

Wala ako masabe when I saw these shots! I am so happy for Jason and Isay. I can't wait to see the full set! I also love to see that little bump on Isay's tummy, I'm sure you guys have been waiting for that too! :) 

I also can't wait to see the wedding, which I'm sure is going to be equally grand! :) happy for you two! It's Philippine Fashion Week too, so I remember the first time I shot them on the runway! Hay!

Bench Universe: The 2012 Denim and Underwear Show - Part 3

Hello again guys and gals! Were back and this is the third installment for the Bench Universe: The Bi Annual Underwear and Denim show from global lifestyle brand BENCH. This is in celebration of their 25th Anniversary. If you missed the last two posts, you can see PART I HERE and PART II HERE. Let's start with one of the most beautiful faces I've ever seen and GMA. Yes, I have a crush on her and I know you won't be too surprised because she's Sarah Lahbati. She's a dream!

She's wearing this Randy Ortiz number that's kinda late 60's to 70' vibe. Very pretty no?

After all these years, Richard Gomez seems to have outdone some of the young ones. Heck he's even showed his body, and abs to boot. For those who probably loves matured ones he's probably perfect no?

These were moving, there were people inside spinning profusely with lights on them. Quite nice!

I thought it was gonna end but I was wrong, Julia Montes came out!

Then some performers on stilts came out. The guy in the center was even more flamboyant than the women in this part. I just forgot their name but they are actually a foreign performing arts group.

The background was constantly changing but I love the part where they were playing with Jellyfish and the white things mimic sea anemone. I couldn't believe how they made this happen! Bench is outdoing itself every year!

The dancers from LA was superb too. I've seen them up close in the Cotton On event. They were pretty special, and you know they were hand picked to do this!

These AMATO people must have been blacksmiths in the past. I've never seen such detailed work on metal pieces for fashion. Excellent job!

Then the Semerad brothers arrived... they were clad in FurneOne1 designs of course!

Wish I had their bodies LOL

I want this thing he's wearing. I wonder how long it took them to make it...

Then of course Aljur Abrenica was next!

He was so overwhelmed with the screams, then he just took down his pants to the delight of the girls and gays =)) They screamed even louder!

Sorry he was too far from where I was so I wasn't able to take a clear shot. I know you guys wanted one right? haha

Peace... that's what the audience needed, they were going crazy over this guy! =)

Honestly I didn't know who he was but I did some research and his name is Pancho Magno.

Well proportioned and well built, this stunner is going places given the right projects. I wonder who is handling him? He needs visibility.

Okay, now there were some models also who walked in this bit but they were a little far from where I was so I wasn't able to secure clear shots like him above.

Then, the princess of horror films just came out in a giant sea anemone.

Then Dingdong Dantes came along.. nope he did not walk... he came out on a huge BOAT!

Unfortunately he didn't come forward on stage so no photos of him up close, he must have forgotten that part.

I forgot her name but she sang live on stage, she's a FilAm who prolly joined a contest somewhere. Can anyone identify her for me? thanks!!

Then it was time for Michael Cinco...

Then perfect bodied Tierry Vilson came in and made BORTA the word for the day LOL
