Meet the New ASUS VivoBook Flip 14 Series

Another day to introduce some of the best laptops from our friends at ASUS and yes, they've got pretty good releases this month particularly the new ASUS VivoBook Flip 14 TP470 and the ASUS VivoBook Flip TM420. It's part of the ASUS VivoBook Flip 14 Series which are awesome companions for creatives like us who's looking for a workhorse.

The ASUS VivoBook Flip 14 TP470 has an 360 degree Ergolift hinge which can pretty much do different modes. You can opt for the regular laptop mode, tent mode (for presentations), stand mode or even in a tablet mode if you're in a mood to create. This also makes it not susceptible to heat problems and you can use it in the most comfy ways if you prefer it be used in those modes I mentioned earlier. It's also got an 11th Generation Intel® Core™ i7-1165G7 processor with Intel Iris Xe Max so those graphics heavy applications and editing would be a cinch to do. Of course with this one, you always have portability so you can take it around your room, a coffee shop (if pandemic permits), your office or home. It's got usual ports, plus a Thunderbolt one for ease of transfer of files when you need it most. You can also use the ASUS Pen with it and treat it like a tablet, imagine what you can do in sales pitches and work if you can make changes and point out certain things right there. If that doesn't make it fun, how about a free lifetime license of Microsoft Office Home & Student 2019? I'm enjoying my own VivoBook with that and if you get this one, it'll be so much fun if you didn't have to worry about that right?

As for the ASUS VivoBook Flip 14 TM420, it also has almost the same features outside but this one has a beast of an AMD Ryzen™ 5 5500U mobile processor and integrated Radeon™ Graphics for you to do the hard things life brings. It's also ultra compact at 1.5kg which you can lug around your home office donning a aluminum alloy chassis in Bespoke Black finish so you look good too and not worry about the heat.

These guys are going to also make you smile with the price as it costs Php 69,995 for the ASUS VivoBook Flip 14 TP470 i7 version while the i5 version costs Php 49,995. The ASUS VivoBook Flip 14 TM420 on the other hand carries an AMD Ryzen R5-5500U mobile processor at Php 42,995. This would be good for home school, office work and total creatives. It'll be fun they say, because as an owner of one, I assure you, they're absolutely right!

The Stylish and Productive ASUS VivoBook 14 X412

The working class, blue collared joe always wants something that gets the job done. How hard is that? Well, if it is allowed and permitted, a good looking machine wouldn't hurt too right? It's why the ASUS VivoBook 14 X412 comes to the picture.

Right.

The ASUS ZenBook 13 UX333 Burgundy Red and How Your Valentine Dreams Can Come True

This week was awesome, not because I was just in a vacation but I got to spend much needed bonding time with my Mom in Singapore. I'm a travelling man, straight from the can. I also work in any place just as long as there is internet connection so I do require a bit of computing power that can do regular office stuff, photo editing and a little video on the side. 

ASUS has come out with their ZenBook line and it has been one of the most sought after notebooks this side of the world. This has got an 8th Gen i5 chip (for the 13 inch) but has an 8th Gen i7 chip for the 14 and 15 inch ones and a 8 GB of RAM. It has almost the same hardware as recent previously released ZenBooks but just differs in the paint job. Metallic and concentric in the front and standard finishing underneath, it looks expensive when I took it out for a spin. At 0.55 inches and about 1.2 kg, I bet you can carry it around with ease even with just the laptop sleeve. The keyboard also has backlights perfect for those dark nights you often slave away typing for deadlines. The HDMI ports, USB A and USB Type C 3.1 ports, transfer of data from devices would be a cinch. Now if you're fond of spreadsheets, you need a viable solution to typing numbers right? The thing also lasts a long time detached from its power cable, you could carry it around and it'll feel like a tablet at times, but you're really getting the whole deal.

ACER Launches World's Thinnest Notebook: Aspire S Series

What's your aspirations? What do you wish for in life? This is what ACER is asking you now that they're launching their new ACER S Series. They boast it's the world's thinnest notebook but couldn't help but give inspiration first to the people who attended their event. First up was motivational speaker Francis Kong.

The Aspire S3 has an all aluminum body, 12 hours of battery life. The Aspire S5 does wireless faster, uses AC standard in different channels and you get upload and download in different sections. I am stoked to tell you about the things I did the last week and this one's touched my heart in so many ways. You know there are private corporations that help government agencies and NGO's too. I arrived at Greenbelt 5 and found these cute kids from local Bagong Tanyag Elementary school. As a first salvo, they turned these kids into superstars by having them sing in a chorus! It was atrocious! It was very cute!

Wyeth Nutrition and Synergia Foundation launched Nurture.Inspire.Give. It's a huge campaign for the benefit of underprivileged youth. These institutions believe that this simple but ingenious way will make sure that they would be able to provide thousands of notebooks to less fortunate kids throughout the country.

The notebooks are actually also made with artwork done by kids themselves. Allie Arroyo, Antonio Tordesilias and Marco Flores. These kids are all accomplished in the field and they are sharing these designs to promote literacy, have them be creative and value education as a whole. It's a noble gesture and Richard Arboleda - Wyeth Philippines' Director of Communications says "A simple notebook can represent someone's canvas for the future." I totally agree!

This event wasn't just about pretty pictures or paintings. It's all about helping these kids get a better future. Now how do you get to help? That's easy! Dell Philippines launches Thin, Sleek and Professional Vostro 5460 Laptop

A few days ago I was invited to the launch of Dell's latest laptop model the Dell Vostro 5460. It's a sleek very refined piece of hardware that screams power when scrutinized closely. It's specs alone would impress any ultrabook lover and for what its worth, the performance is also as solid as any computer that can even do heavy gaming because it's not your ordinary 14 inch portable hardware.

Mind you while this was being introduced and throughout the whole discussion about the Dell Vostro 5460 he was actually carrying it around the whole time. It's only 1.54 Kgs and one of the thinnest in its class at 19mm. It was intended for business use but is now going to be released in a consumer sector to give Philippine consumers a more powerful option other than the others that carry small specs. Dell also mentioned that this will be included in their line of laptops , PC's and ultrabooks that will be covered by the Dell Next Business Day On-Site Service. No other brand actually does that other than Dell worldwide!

For its processor, they are gearing towards Intel i3 and i5. They also come with packaged OS such as Windows 8 Home Starter 64bit, Home Basic 64bit, Home Premium 64bit or Windows 7 Professional with XP mode installed and the option of the 64bit version of Linux Ubuntu  already installed. Up to 6GB of memory supported because of its 1600MHz DDR3 SoDIMM and Intel Mobile HM77 chipset. The impressive Video Card that is perfect even or gaming carries Intel HD Graphics 3000 (GT2) and a 1GB nVidia GeForce GT630M.The 14 inch HiDef 1366x768 720p display would be the envy of your friends in the office or at home. Pretty cool for a small machine huh?

It only carries a 3 cell Lithium Ion battery at 48 - 50WHr at 65 Watts, Slim or 90 Watt Slim. It's the reason why the laptop only packs only small amount of temperature which some ultrabooks or laptops are so problematic about. It also has an HDMI port for usual reasons. It supports Gigabit Ethernet network rates plus b/g/n standard wireless connectivity.

For those who want to experience the best that Dell has to offer in this reasonably priced laptop computer line, you should be informed that it  comes in "Standard or Ultrabook" configurations. I suggest you take your time to know Dell Vostro 5460 because it's totally worth it!
