Cop Your Havaianas this Shopee 6.6 - 7.7 Midyear Sale!

Thursday, May 27, 2021

Now I'm sure a lot of you have your own precious Havaianas pair at home which you often use. I've always looked forward to MYOH (Make Your Own Havaianas) which happens every year but since the pandemic happened, I understood how hard that would be to do it. Although I've ruined a few, I still want my Havaianas and I am so glad it's available in Shopee. Shopee by the way is holding the annual 6.6 - 7.7 Mid Year Sale and if you're in the lookout for something that would "feet" your needs (see what I did there? Ha!), I'm here to tell you all about what I plan to buy from their official store. You see, Shopee will have tons of products be sold at 90% OFF, have free shipping vouchers and cash backs too.

The Havaianas official store at shopee.ph/havaianas will get some of their items follow suit. The disccount I've seen recently already had some of their products less 30% off, and if my hunch is right, I could get more of these items for less on the actual day itself. Not to mention save on shipping costs because they also have that on the app.

If you see the photos above, I plan to get the Havaianas AEROGRAPHIC which has those high tech looking graphic that we often see in aerodynamic test ranges. I also liked how dark it is so I don't have to worry making a mess if I go to places that are muddy or wet. I'd probably also get the other two which are the Havaianas Slim Logo Metallic Flip Flops and the Havaianas Slim Neon Island Ballet Rose for my Mom and Sister. They're pretty fit to have these designs as it kinda represents their personality. Let's just say Mom's into loud prints, while my sister is into girly stuff. It'll surely fit them right.

Now don't go splurging on it right now, maybe add it to your cart and when the clock strikes 12am, go ahead and check out when you see those prices go down. It's what I do when there's something I need to buy on a regular basis.

Who knows, you could save a ton out of this June/July! Thank me later!

My Experience at Make Your Own Havaianas 2016

Friday, April 22, 2016

Went to SM Megamall's Fashion Hall to take first dibs at the Make Your Own Havaianas 2016 event. It's an annual reaveal of the well loved Brazilian brand and this year they're taking us to Japan. As you may know, a large population of Japanese expats actually are in Brazil and they have pretty much incalcated their culture there too.

If you know what a Zori is, then you're okay but if not, then I'd have to tell you that it's those cute little slippers made of straw worn in Japan for decades. This is one of the things that influenced the brand to make comfy Havaianas and they are paying homage to their origins.

Making your own Havaianas is easy, they even went to arrange pre-designed ones so if you're not in a creative mood, then just point and tell them your size, that easy.

They have big sizes for men, I think up to size 13 so you wouldn't really have a hard time choosing one. For the ladies, don't worry because I think they even can go to the kids sizes if needed.

The pins are so cute! I wanted them all but it'll look messy so I only had 6. I chose Japan, Ninja, the Ramen Bowl, Geisha and Konnichiwa pins. It was so kawaii!

It was awesome also seeing them make it for you live! They carefully put in the pins and inserted the strap on the rubber slipper.

And voila! Here's my official Havaianas custom made pair :) I'm a very happy boy!

They also had us customize the bags where we'll put out Havaianas pairs into. So I stamped away and made bracelets as part of the package. If my hunch is correct you can only have 2 pins free for the MYOH2016 but you can always add more for Php 150 each!

Now I've got my 4th pair! I can't wait to see the one for next year! :) So hurry and rush to major malls and get your own customized pair of Havaianas today up until the 24th of April!

Make Your Own Havaianas 2015

Tuesday, May 05, 2015

When you saw this photo, did you feel a little old? Haha I know! It's the 10th year of Make Your Own Havaianas and their doing it in Hawaiian style this time at the Glorietta Activity Center. I've had a few pairs myself so if you're hoarding them at home, take them out and use them on the beach, the outdoors, or just about any place you go and take your Havaianas to.

Aside from the great music, they let us choose our own soles and match them with whatever straps we wanted for it. You can also personalize the thing by latching in lots of pins which you can put on the strap as well.

The pin choices this year are super cool too as they followed the theme, making it extra cool with the Hawaiian vibe. I liked the aloha, the coconut, the camera, the burger, the hotdog, coffee, beach bum, road trip and fish pins personally. They also made us a complimentary hand stamped pin because we were the first people to have it.

I love Havaianas! Thank you for having us to celebrate individuality once again. My pair will be put into good use I promise and if you're looking forward to get your pair, come to the Glorietta Activity Center and make your own pair. There's 12,000 combinations to choose from, you can make your own Havaianas from May 7-10. They'll be at 17 malls anyway so I'm sure there's one near you!

Mahalo! And cheers to making your own Havaianas this year! Thank you to Tasha who made my pair too!

The IPANEMA Selfeet Campaign

Sunday, September 21, 2014

It was fun and colorful at the new IPANEMA concept store in SM North Edsa-Annex last week when they launched their new Selfeet campaign. Selfeet mainly means selfie with your feet and that starts right in the heart of Manila today. Just go to Robinsons Ermita today and you'll see James Reid and Nadine Lustre having fun with you through games, shows and a couple of #Selfeet on social media because they promise to get you to win Punta Fuego Batangas trips if you participate. Isn't that neat?

Aside from that. they'll do the same activity in Ayala Center in Cebu come October 12 and Abreeza Mall Davao on November 16. It'll be so much fun with the Ipanema endorsers and lovely people to help you choose the perfect pair if you're there.

Their brand of flipflops are really good, a tad more affordable too.

I must say this aggressive marketing campaign by the brand just spells the flip flop industry in the Philippines must be really getting tough. It's a good thing. They also said that IPANEMA is surely going to open more stores before the year ends and even more next year. They don't really have a problem with building them but they just need more space. SM just doesn't have them anymore would you believe? :) But surely they will be seen in more locations nationwide so don't fret if you haven't experienced Ipanema yet, because they will be there.

Make Your Own Havaianas 2014

Thursday, May 08, 2014

When I posted this photo on Instagram I immediately said that "I'll have what she's having!" because as you see she's doing the salsa like nobody's there! It was festive, it was like mardi gras in Manila right smack in the middle of Glorietta. Well I couldn't blame them because it is after all the start of Make Your Own Havaianas 2014. It will be open to the public from May 8 - 11 at the Glorietta Activity center in Makati City. I partied big time that evening with personalities and celebrities, some of whom you might actually recognize I'm sure.

From Salsa numbers, to Phil and James Younghusband, to Basti Artadi and Elmo Magalona and his siblings, it was an awesome day of making our own Havaianas. We felt that we were in the streets of Rio crumping and jumping to the tunes like nobody's watching. When I got the chance to do mine, a very friendly guy Adrian rushed to the counter and grabbed my Havaianas passport. The passport basically contains a checklist of items which you can just tick. From the actual rubber sole to the strap and the pins you would want to have, it's all there! He went to the back and got what I chose then started to assemble my Havaianas. :)

Geeky version of Adrian holding my Havaianas Passport. This is our trip to Rio de Janeiro in Brazil!

They had two tools that they heavily use. One was the small pole which they use to put the straps in. The other one was a crimper so you could choose and put in pins on the strap. It was really fast and I didn't really have to wait that long since there were stars behind me hahaha!

It's beginning to look like a pair of slippers now and they're putting in the cute pins. :)

Now I have MY OWN HAVAIANAS! :) It's as cute as me and the guy who made it with me agree!? Now go to Glorietta's Activity Center and Make Your Own Havaianas today til the 11th! :)
