Thank You

My Dad passed away this Tuesday, April 3, he was 70.


I know am still hurting, not fully recovered yet. I don't know what will happen after this but I am optimistic things (even though will not be the same) hopefully will be better for us. We are taking care of Mom, as we always have been doing.

I am just writing this post to thank everyone who have in their own way, showed their condolences while we are still grieving. It may have not been less stressful, less heavy, but know that we are extremely thankful to everyone who have helped us during this time. Please do know that I have read all the comments, private messages, but I'm still contemplating how to answer most of them because the old people are telling me not to say "thank you" even if I really am thankful.

Kidding aside, my heartfelt thanks to all the bloggers and PR Executives who went to the wake of my Dad. It really kept me on top of my toes to see you just being there. You know who you are.

For those who sent flowers, who sent help and even tons of food, THANK YOU

Thank You! - How Did You Celebrate Christmas?

How did you spend your Christmas? =)

Well I spent it mostly at work. I know, most of you probably think I'm crazy. Don't worry about me I didn't get depressed or anything. I've been in the business for 10 years and I think I got over that a long time ago.

I'd like to take this bit first to thank everyone who greeted me on my birthday. You guys know who you are. And for those who didn't get to do that, well screw... I mean bless you hahaha!

Christmas celebrations started for me in the office. I got my team to come out from their shells and go to Q Bistro in front of the Podium Mall in Mandaluyong. Remeber my review about them HERE? Well they've got a Roast Beef buffet which we tried out on the weekend and it was mighty perfect for us and my team's families. Think about this huge slab of meat that melts off the bones, plus a menu that is the envy of everyone in Manila. Why? Check this out!

Pork with gravy, pinoy tacos, bruschetta, Asian spring rolls which I absolutely love.

The Asian Spring Rolls had fish on it. So I really had seconds and thirds. The fish with cream sauce was nice too. I'd skip the cream if I was in a diet but I'm NOT haha!

The Salad bar was heaven according to my foodie friend Gian of BossandMe.com. I had some too with the jicama and carrots. Their salad dressings? I LOVE!

Plus I love the soup too. They provide freshly cracked pepper like clockwork because they know it is going to make everything extra better! Visit them if you have some time. I highly recommend their place because its cozy, perfect for intimate dinners or business meetings.

I also made my Christmas stay at home by bringing out a couple of bottles of Daphne Home Scents. They came out with this limited edition Green Forest Pine that spreads the scent of the same tree; perfect for this season. I love every bit of it. 6 rooms, plus our living room all have this! =)

Plus I also had several sent to my relatives as gifts. It's only 380 Php on Bench and Dimensione stores nationwide. I love how it's also boxed elegantly. Truly world class products here.

And I'm still lovin it!

Then I met up with friends for dinner at BGC

We are Engineers, different courses. Some are ECE, EE, CE, ME and me CoE. We've ravaged time and trials like everybody else but what I like about them is when I spend time with their families. They are good friends. Some of them are my inaanaks :) So happy to see them once every year.

These guys (in black and white) are my bandmates in college. We've been through a lot. Now their husbands, wives also tag along so we are kinda growing. :)

Relatives from here and abroad came to our house to celebrate my Grandpa's 112th birthday. He ain't here anymore but we have continued meeting on the same date every year. Missing him a lot. :(

Last night, we still were in a festive mood and celebrated with family in Tagaytay. My brother also arrived from Ireland and he's here til middle of next month. We'll be making memories like we used to. 

From my home to yours, I hope you guys get to celebrate with the people you love. I know things will be greater next year. Thank you to everyone who supported me this 2012. To the celebrities I know, may your careers flourish because as far as I know all of them have been good people. To the PR companies I dealt with this year, they have been so good and even sent me some goodies this Christmas. Thank you so much for that. For the friends that I've made in the blogging world, thank you, you know who you are. You guys made my 2012 so great. I hope we continue to do more things this 2013! We're worth it! :)

It was my birthday last December 6 and I've been really so emotional this past week that people probably think I'm schizo LOL. I would just like to thank all my friends. Thank you people from the blogging industry especially to the PR's that remembered :) I love you guys as much as you love me! :)

Thank you also to my folks who I sincerely wanted to celebrate my birthday with. I wanted it to be a little intimate and the time I spent with you guys was awesome. 

To all my friends in FB who made time to greet me on my wall, and to the online media who greeted me on Twitter thank you. I'm sorry to those who I wasn't able to thank directly because I can't type for 2000 people just on one day LOL. But really thank you!

And to Melai Cantiveros and Jason Francisco, you guys don't know how happy I was receiving personal greetings from you guys. I've been shooting you for years now in your shows, your movie and Philippine Fashion Week on Bench shows. Thank you so much. I promise if I get to cover your shows I'll share it with your fans always. Thank you also to MELASON fans, you know who you are... a BIG thank you to all of you! :)

Thank you also to my dear readers, now that I'm a year older than last year I can probably stop telling how old I am when people ask my age haha! Thank you guys you all made me so happy!

Thank you 2011!

Indeed 2011 was a year of ups and downs both locally and internationally. It's been a great year for me and my site and you guys know that right? I'd like to thank this bit to thank a couple of people who made my 2011 great.

Thanks to all my blog friends, I probably shouldn't mention you one by one because you are too many! But you know who you are... and to my hater na blogger din, magbago ka na dahil alam ko kung sino ka! hahahah :P

Reconnecting

I really love Facebook now... imagine a long lost friend saw me on another friend's profile and easily added me up. Now we got to chat a little via PM and it was an awesome opportunity to reconnect with her after all these years. I was only taking a handful of stories from her brother who happens to be one of the greatest guys I have ever met in college; but now that we are officially friends in Facebook I think we will get to have a lot of time knowing each others activities through this medium and I really like this day OH GOD THANK YOU! Ate Lay which I fondly call her liked my portfolio too so she is planning to shoot with us soon, I will hook her up with the Nocturnals so she would have all the photos she wants heheh... right guys?! ^_^

Now there are also old classmates from elementary, high school and college reconnecting with me.... this is just too good to be true! I wish we could get to meet each other soon!

I have a lot of things to thank for in this world and these are one of them. The one above knows how to make me happy. I thank him and Saint Claire for their help, a lot of things are happening now and I hope these great things do not stop. Happiness and contentment.... my family and friends... and everything else I hope falls into place.... with that I will be truly happy with my life.
