Get Your Minutes Out!

Sunday, January 25, 2009

In the recent inauguration of the newly elected US President, he reiterated that part of his plan to alleviate the people from the current financial crisis was to re-develop loan structures so it would be easier for the middle-class income families to pay off their debt. While mortgage is not really counted as a loan, a large percentage of the cost goes to securing these loans and it will be deducted to the real estate owner rather that the one purchasing the house or lot.

We know why people have loans at these times because obviously times are hard. Thousands are losing their jobs and running out of funds. We have to borrow sometimes to get through our daily lives. For marketing companies that earn through providing credit and mortgages, they need to know who needs it. Information provided to them can be sourced from http://www.myvoicedialing.com. They find homeowners who need it most thru various networks and media. They provide exclusive Mortgage Leads and operate call centers that are all US based; bilingual support. So if you need this marketing strategy to beef up your businesses, get the best Loan Mod Leads from them and you’ll never go wrong.

Let's leave Rustom Dead; She's Bebe Gandanghari! - Carmina

Friday, January 23, 2009

Reporters have been hounding Carmina Villaruel and ask what she feels about former husband Rustom Padilla's outing as Bebe Gandanghari. She says she would not like to comment about it and heeds everyone respects that and Rustom too.

In the same network that she works for, they still ask her about it but she never says anything aside from the statement she issued in their afternoon show "SIS" that it would be unfair for her to comment on anything that has got to do with Rustom because they have moved on already. She just wished Rustom and her to be both as happy as they are now.

She also says people should respect Rustom's decision to be Bebe Gandanghari, and if Rustom says that Rustom Padilla is dead and she is now Bebe Gandanghari let's just bury the hatchette and move on with our lives. Furthermore, she says "Since patay na nga si Rustom eh di ibaon na natin siya ng bonggang-bongga".

CHAROT! hahahah!

Easier VPS Hosting

VPS or Virtual Private Servers make website maintenance easier and you can ask any webmaster could attest to that. I’ve got a couple of projects engaged in online communities that would require us to test images and construction before we can get the site published. You make a virtual copy of the current settings that you have online and make that content work for the improvements you want to bring in. Then if it already works, you just simply merge or replace the existing one. It makes life easier for me so we do not have to work out the bugs later on. It would be arduous and difficult to instantly publish your work and suffer the consequences later on if you encounter problems. You’re bound to have quality in your work if you continue the testing phase through these means of web hosting.

The line of Virtual Private Servers and VPS Hosting services offered by Host Color is reliable. The VPS starter offers 10GB Disk space and can accommodate higher volume if needed to get those high quality images loaded too. VPS advanced on the other hand is relatively higher and can withstand requirements of large data social networks and community forums. VPS power can get you and your small and medium office businesses on track together with structured e-commerce software and hardware capabilities to get no disruptions in secured transactions that would be better for large scale operations. All these services are available while prices remain reasonably affordable at $19.95 - $69.95 a month. Now you know why vps web hosting stays on top of the list for web masters like me.

Milet Mendoza's Interview with Radio Veritas

Milet Mendoza and Espie Hupida

I
just had dinner with my Aunt Milet Mendoza and had a small chat about her interview in Radio Veritas, a local Christian radio in the Philippines. I’ve got this file uploaded on a third party website and I hope Christians and Muslims learn a lot from her experience while in captivity of her kidnappers the ABU SAYYAF.

The zip file contains 5 mp3 audio files of the show.

There’s a lot of humanitarian work done in Mindanao but regardless of the culture differences in the regions of the Philippines, the kidnapping should stop. Government should do their share in helping the less fortunate regions in the Philippines. If you take into mind what she has experienced, you’ll surely learn a lot from it like I did. She would like to sincerely thank everyone who prayed for her safety, to people who visited my blog in the past few months. She’s free now and back with her family. Thank God!

Your Need Car Insurance

Thursday, January 22, 2009

Are you sure you got your family covered? I fear most of the time when I try driving our van because the streets of Manila are just not that safe anymore. Just this Monday, Philip Salvador a well known local actor almost got hit by a bus while driving through EDSA. He was already in the midst of passing through but then this large headed driver reeled his bus to the right hitting the side of his SUV and almost hitting his wife that morning. He went down and confronted the driver but he was not even apologetic of what he had done. People like these in the first place should not be given any licenses. They are just plainly uneducated and we normal people could not control what goes on in the Land Transportation Office.

Accidents like that are seen everyday and some of them are even worst. Good thing we had our van insured so if ever something happens to us and our vehicle, we are assured we are going to be taken cared of. The streets are not that safe anymore and we know that we are good drivers; but we have no control over their driving. Everybody needs car insurance. That's really going to be a big problem in this country and I would not like to be on the receiving end of those accidents. I have a lot of dreams and I don't want my life expectancy to shorten because of someone else. Go figure!

Mendiola Massacare

The scene in Mendiola a few hours ago where PNP stopped the rally of the farmers.

Almost a hundred farmers marched Mendiola streets a while ago in commemoration of the Mendiola Massacare where 39 farmer activists were shot down because of alleged leftist activities in the 70's. I don't know if I was born yet but it seems to me that a lot of people don't even know when or why this happened.

In the Marcos regime, they were the only ones who marched to the streets and fought oppression but they were gunned down when they tried to approach Manila's Malacanang district where the President stays. Until now, people still go there to air their grievances. They go to that same place where these people died, a widow of one of the victims was interviewed a while ago and said its sad that nobody knew of the event. For me, its an unending battle... they all complain... some of them are legitimate, some of them are just plain noisy... but in this day, these people should have at least been remembered. They fought for something then and until now, nothing has been resolved. Their lands are still owned by landlords... the land they sow crops on are still owned by the rich. What's new! But I still have hope that someday, one of our leaders would probably step up. As long as he's god fearing, can do the job, then he's good for me. I hope you guys are thinking about who to vote come 2010, because I would not like to see someone irresponsible again gaining power and money in the expense of YOUR AND MY TAXES!!!

Virtual Private Servers That Costs Less!

Virtual Private Servers as we all know costs a lot these days and the maintenance of websites are just the same. We can never alienate the fact that we need virtual dedicated servers so we can control what content we have in our own websites. I was lucky enough that mine had its management done by the hosting site and it costs a little more than the usual. Today, there are better offers that can beat the $10 mark, and they also pitch in a couple of things so you won't just get the freebies but everything including easy to use software that can be used by novices like me.

The cheapest ones priced at around 1 UK Pound is worth every penny as far as size and performance is concerned. You can find better deals in and outside the country but remember these are all online and the websites you maintain will experience minimal or no downtime. So if you know VPS, you know who to go to. Imagine that! These things that are available to webmasters like me now, this surely will make my life easier!

DINAGYANG FESTIVAL : Wow Iloilo!

People are flocking the streets and thousands drinking every night in Iloilo City as they celebrate the festival that they are quite known for. The DINAGYANG FESTIVAL in all its colors will present itself to the world this month of January besting its neighboring provinces that have their own festivals too. The Philippines is just full of fiestas.

Not only will there be lots of food and beverages of many versions but there also be local beauty competitions and dance contests which I'm sure everyone will enjoy. One day, I too will go back to Iloilo and check out what I missed. The time I spent there with my family a few years back was memorable. That's discounting the fact that I even got sick... but I still did enjoy it!

The street parade will surely draw the crowd's attention, and so will the other parts of the program where dignitaries will converge and celebrate this momentous occasion for all Ilonggos. I still know how to speak the dialect a little! ^_^ If you are looking for something to do this season, why not try going for Iloilo and join DINAGYANG 2009!

Thinking About Your Kids Furniture

When I was a kid, there were only a few things I needed at home to get me taken cared of. I did not have the luxury of having my own room at that time because nurseries were never thought of in the Philippines at that time. Most babies stay at their parent's room so neither dad or mom would actually wake up in the middle of the night and pat the baby to sleep. That was just really not the norm in this side of the world. I was not aware of the culture then in the US where almost every baby would get their own prepared room and own set of furniture as most interior design shows now dictates. There are also themes for every kid to enjoy so it would not be that boring room in the house nobody wants to stay in. They make an effort to make it appealing to the eyes of the kid as much as possible because it stimulates brain growth. Although, I did not turn out that bad anyway ha-ha!

There were some that used designer furniture and some that used inexpensive ones. It was harder to get those things shipped over every state possible then because the logistics are just too expensive. Now in the age of online shopping, getting that dresser, bookcase, day beds or nightstands became easier as communication became cheaper and faster. This kids furniture became easier to procure even now that more stores are offering bigger discounts to choose from. You should check out what you need online and I'm sure you'll get what you need. Christmas just ended anyway and it's possible your godfather and godmother would probably get you what you want right?

Independent body to handle Alabang Boys

Rich kids in hot water for this drug case!

Congress would want an independent committee to handle the infamous Alabang Boys drug scandal. This is to prevent the terms brought about by politicians also dipping their hands into this huge fiasco. Several reports of bribery was included in the statement by Major Ferdinand Marcelino, team leader of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) but he refused to identify them publicly.

There should be a credible committee that would handle this case so the truth would come out and have the said prosecutor from the Department of Justice that sold the Alabang Boy's case put to justice too.
It's sad to say but it was also a compatriot from the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) that offered him this bribe so he can't tell anyone as honor dictates.
No names as of now still have surfaced but there are several people that President Arroyo already put on leave like Undersecretary Ricardo Blancaflor and Chief State Prosecutor Jovencito Zuno.

Biazon on the other hand said that there should be inventory of (drug) cases and there should be an inventory of evidence. It has also been an issue that seized drugs finds its way back to the circulation of drug tradewhich is preposterous.
