Lock & Lock Launches 2 New Lines Of Products!

Saturday, August 30, 2014

One of the biggest names in quality container products Lock & Lock just launched their newest cookware and glassware line. The brand has been steadfastly helping Filipinos keep their food safe throughout the years and this time they're putting out their CookPlus Line and Lock & Lock Glass Line to provide different technologies to safely, conveniently prepare and present food in the Philippines much like they've been doing it elsewhere.

These new products are all made from top of the line materials making it durable, corrosion free, brilliant and long lasting every time a person in your home uses it. They also use their own brand of non stick coating in order to make this the perfect armament to have in cookware by making sure it's PFOA free that sometimes puts ones health at risk. They use ceramics to make it even conducive to heat which means a shorter amount of time for cooking.

The Lock & Lock Glass Line are all made of borosilicate glass making it withstand extreme temperatures so you can get it from the freezer, to your microwave oven and straight to your table. We also got to see during the launch how the Chef Kalel Chan (of the Raintree Restaurant Group) used these mighty non exploding, non shattering containers to whip up some of the best things on his kitchen. It's one of the safest glass containers around and you can easily see what you have on it so you can easily pull it out of your fridge or pantry without a hitch.

Monday, May 26, 2014

It looks like you're in for a great week now that Electrolux just announced their BIGGEST sale on small appliances from May 28th to the 30th at their new office in W 5th Avenue Building in Bonifacio Global City. It's located at the corner of 5th Avenue and 32nd Street, just go to the 10th floor and see their live kitchen too. Just ask nicely.

Oh and just so you know, I've got 4 microwave ovens spread around my house (for quick cooking) and the great vacuum cleaner from Electrolux that is art of my arsenal in cleaning. You can save up to 50% off on these small appliances which you can use for businesses or just at home. If that isn't reason enough to visit them, then maybe the blenders, rice cookers, coffee machines and flat irons might convince you. Don't tell them I told you! :P

The Electrolux Housewarming Party

Thursday, May 01, 2014

I arrived a little late at the new Electrolux office in Bonifacio Global City a couple of days ago. Although from afar, I heard a familiar voice from one of my favorite DJ's on Philippine radio Delamar Arias - one of the hosts of my most favorite radio show in the entire world The Morning Rush on RX93.1. I've been wishing to see these guys for a long time but I haven't seen them together since the Bactidol campaign. Today, Delle was here to host a very special day for Electrolux and yes they have moved into a very nice and upscale office in the Fort. It was really nice for them to invite us over and take a look at their newest products including their endorsers too.

Ms. Janice Villanueva and Delle were preparing something on the kitchen when we got there. This is their open faced fish panini. I guess it's about the same process in cooking but it was made easier by making it with just a few steps. Mixing the onions, tomatoes, spices and other ingredients, lay them on top of the fish, put them on top of the panini and bake until brown. I think I've gotten the hang of this because I do cook. I think their dish was special though because they got to use the Electrolux oven and made it in minutes! Voila!

It's even healthier and really tasty, made with love by Ms. Janice Villanueva. It passed the standards of Delle, so that says a lot. It was during this time that I also saw Delle's cute as a button son Cooper who was sitting on the side. It was like a short family gathering really. This new Elextrolux office looked so homey despite of its urban flair.

Then I saw my favorite Chef in the world Chef Bruce Lim (Nigella Lawson comes a close second for obvious reasons LOL). I still distinctly remember meeting this guy for the first time during an Electrolux event last year and I've seen him a couple of times since. I've learned a lot and still enjoy to catch his show on the Asian Food Channel every now and then. It's so great that he's one of the personalities endorsing for the brand because he's got it all.

He also showed us around the kitchen and told us about this great refrigerator here. The thing is, he showed his romantic side hehe. He usually writes notes on the fridge door directly and says how he goes about using it everyday. A proud father, it's also the place where he posts his sons drawings. If it can make the wear and tear of kids and his busy cooking, I don't think anyone will have problems working with Electrolux appliances in your homes. He made us a fast and easy pasta dish using Pene, mushroom and cream. Ahhh.. I had seconds of course! Thanks Chef for a wonderful meal!

When a short raffle was held, they dropped the bowl and did the greatest thing that evening. They gave us each a brand new Microwave Oven! Woot! Thank you so much to the executives of Electrolux and CONGRATULATIONS on your new home at the Bonifacio Global City! Can't wait to see more of your events there as you launch new products in the coming years!

PS. I love your No Noise Blender. When can we see that in action soon? :)

A Slice of Bread

Monday, January 26, 2009

The morning shines when I get out of work and the first few things that make me happy after work is breakfast. Coffee, bagel, pancakes and toast were a staple for this cute marshmallow man type of guy. I really need some comfort food every now and then to get me through the day even when I’m on a diet. I’ve been eating lots of bread for a while now; I’ve cut down on rice so I’m trying my best to stick with it.

With the bland taste of bread I was wondering what I could eat when I’m already getting bored with the same white rye from the same old bakeshop. I grabbed some of them and made pizza out of our toaster oven. That’s one thing I did right, the viands kept me happy because I could put almost anything on it once it’s toasted. About the toaster we have at home, its actually getting a little bit old. I kind of miss the first one I used when I was a kid that looks like the ones in American movies where you get to press and pop the oven when it’s done. We didn’t have that anymore so we kind of were stuck at what’s available in the market. I tried to look at some of them in the mall appliance center, oh boy were they getting expensive.

There were different types of oven toasters already, of which some had various features which I don’t really need. It’s time I try to check out some sites like http://www.toasterovensguide.com so I narrow down my choices. There were a lot of them that had convection and microwave toaster ovens with them. I like the classic 50’s looking ones that can make them simple. I think I’ll be buying that soon. I like spreading butter on them; I get to have my cup of tea too. How about you?!
