OPPO Celebrates with "MALIGAYANG PASKOPPO" This 12.12

OPPO won't be just sitting around this 12.12 because they're bringing out their best phones in the BIGGEST year end sale which they dub as "MALIGAYANG PASKOPPO". This means, you'll get a chance to get the biggest deals from their physical stores and various online platforms which they are present in.

OPPO Starts 2024 with OPPO Pad Air

Looks like our friends from OPPO are starting the year fresh with the new OPPO Pad Air. It's their newest tablet made with entertainment and productivity in mind, plus way more storage than usual. I'm going to give you more reasons to have it.

Tablets certainly have been useful for so many things. Watching movies, streaming videos, and putting in a lot of work for office or creatives. The bigger display gives it more flexibility because you can see things even more than the usual smartphones we carry around. The OPPO Pad Air gives you a balance of both work and play. It also doesn't shortchange you on processing power, with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chip, 8 CPU Cores, and an AI System Booster 2.1, you can make work quite smooth and add social media, movies, and a little gaming when you want to get less stressed.

OPPO Find N2 Wins Best Smartphone at AMA's

Looks like folks at OPPO are in a celebrative mood after winning the coveted Best Smartphone Award at the recent Asia Mobila Awards 2023 in the foldable smartphone category. This happened at the mobile world congress in Shanghai China which is a big deal especially because there are other big brands shortlisted in that category.

The award was accepted by Will Zhou the Seinor Product Maanger from OPPO. If you don't know, the OPPO Find N2 is their current flagship foldable phone. It has an ultra light Flexion hinge and a carbon fiber screen support frame making it one of the toughest but lightest phones in the market today. This was launched during the last quarter of 2022 and has taken the number one spot in phone shipments, a whopping 35 percent market share in China alone.

If you want to know more about it, head on to OPPO Philippines social channels because it also is being retailed here. I'd love to see how it performs in real life, I haven't owned a foldable for a long time and it'll be interesting to have one made with tech today.

NADINE, BEA + More at the OPPO Inspriation Ahead Event

Super happy to see OPPO getting a little closer to lifestyle events as they held an "Inspiration Ahead" forum with speakers like stylists Pam Quinones and Daryl Chang, concert photographer to the stars Magic Liwanag, and Fashion and Style blogger David Guison. It was nice to see them share their expertise in their respective fields, but in a nutshell, it takes guts to be fashionable, it's okay to experiment, make amends with style mishaps in the past (and to just go ahead and try it). 

 

 

Leanne and Naara also provided needed entertainment in the middle of festivities, music from them was really super nice, a lot of people danced during their set. I'm a fan of their music now :)

Magic says "My inspiration starts the moment I wake up, shooting different people, I learned that it depends on how you feel. Experience for me is champ! As a photographer, I'm glad my wife isn't a content creator, I get to rest, capture moments, even if it's not Hollywood or international artists, I get to share my story. OPPO really helped me become pro active, because of its functionalities, from Reno to Find, you get excited to take photos and remain inspired anywhere."

David Guison says "I don't really think bout it so much nowadays, just dark, minimalist, things that you don't tend to see much, that's what I document. Knowing what you like is your style. It's nice to see people that hype you up, it helps because you get to say hi and show your personality. "

During the evening, they had Bea Alonzo on stage and talk about her own passions. She also shared her ways on finding inspiration on everything she does. She was extremely happy to see her fans on the grounds since late lunch time. That's dedication right there!

 

Then to make the evening even better, I was able to take a few minutes to talk to President NADINE LUSTRE who has been in the headlines these past few weeks. But of course, we didn't talk about THAT. I had to ask how she's been, and how she feels being trusted by OPPO all these years. It's been a while since I've sat down with her, so here, enjoy!

These men and women do inspire a lot of people, and sharing those experiences probably would make all of us see our efforts, that it's okay to take time. UNBOXING: OPPO Enco Air2 Pro True Wireless Noise Cancelling Earbuds

Having a dependable audio device these days is but a necessity especially when we're either at home or traveling to a destination. The call to work happens in the not so opportune times and we can't blame time management alone for that. Meetings, press conferences, I've been there, and as funny as it sounds, I usually have to get online to ask questions live on broadcast TV for that. Gone are the days of wired devices that doesn't do so much for the noise we get outside. Coffee shops, traffic, even barking dogs at home, we find ourselves in lots of disturbances when we're talking to people and can't do anything about it. That's where the OPPO Enco Air2 Pro True Wireless Noise Cancelling Earbuds come in to play.

This very portable (it fits in my pocket), nicely shaped audio device has been making my life easier even if I'm in the restaurant having a cup of coffee, while it's crowded inside. It takes the noise out of the equation, much that it wouldn't be heard that much in meetings and conferences like what I did this week. The clear vocals was evident and I could transcribe speeches quite easily. Aside from that, even if it's raining outside I didn't quite worry because it's IP54 standard Dust and Water Resistant. As a casual gamer, I've used it for online games on my phone and see quite low latency, so no worries about delays of when you're in a tough round. It easily pairs too when once you've already established connection with it the first time. The controls are also easy to do as it just takes a few taps to control music or turn the noise cancelling feature on and off. The battery is also quite good because it lasts 28 hours, so a normal work schedule can be covered. It's also smart as it detects when it's on ear or not and pauses music when you're playing something on it.

OPPO Teases PH with Find X5 Pro 5G

There's so much appreciation for good things, so when OPPO had us do a physical event... I couldn't wait to see what they had in store for us to see this evening. I had an event in the morning and planned to go home and dress up, but plans changed and just shopped for it instead. I haven't seen a lot of blogger friends covering, but that kinda changed.

In a nutshell, OPPO is letting us experience one of their newest flagship phones in the market called OPPO Find X5 Pro 5G. The phone is special as it employs 80W SuperVOOC Charging, 1 Billion Colour Bionic Display, plus ColorOS 12.1 powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 which is a processing monster. 

To tell you honestly, I would probably buy something like this just on aesthetics because when I saw how it looked like face value, I was impressed. The modern design, the shiny exterior (you couldn't even take photos of it as light was reflecting from it in Glaze Black). They also have this in Ceramic White version, which I both dig.

The newest phone has 12GB RAM, 256GB ROM, QHD (3216x1440) 92.7% screen ratio display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The camera is 50MP F/1.7 aperture, plus 50MP Ultra Wide Angle Camera at F/2.2 and macro support. They also had a 13MP Telephoto Cam with an F/2.4 fixed focus for far subjects if you need it. The front camera is a 32MP F/2.4, you can take all the selfies and be left satisfied. I've tried some of the features like slow motion, dual view (lovely for vloggers), stickers, time lapse, portrait mode, among other things it does. It's capable of shooting up to 4K, you've got room for that in storage so those movies you plan to make with it would become really convincing.

Sad News: Unfortunately this event was just done for us to experience it. This specific model won't be released in the Philippines as they're concentrating mid range and the different series they have. Though they might be able to do it if clamor comes so ask if you feel like it... especially on their social channels because they do listen to customer feedback.

Fun to also see our boy Bret Jackson who's still got a lot of music in the pipeline. I've been missing this guy a lot since we haven't seen each other for years. He's got a few singles out and some under him and James Reid's Careless Music. It was also fun to see OPPO's executives saying hi over cocktails, it was a really fun night... thank you OPPO! :)

I’ve been using my OPPO F7 for a couple of years now. It’s ability to take really nice photos and run with me despite being an apple fan boy has certainly impressed me since I got it. I’ve been on the lookout for more of these phones to suggest for my nephews, nieces, cousins and friends, but they do hold back because of budget constraints. The OPPO RENO 2 Launch

Got invited to this but I didn't RSVP lol. Anyway, OPPO seems to be in a roll as they launched the OPPO RENO 2 today in a grand event at Shooting Gallery in Makati.

We had drinks but they asked us to zoom in 20x just to see the menu, pretty good idea!

As for the phone, it looks and feels good. It's not heavy and from the looks of it, it takes good photos even when there was limited light in the venue. Thanks to the phone's Ultra Night Mode it was fun to see the band playing, the dancers too.

Imagine my surprise when this thing popped up at a slant when I was trying it out for a selfie, it's different and unique, which I like about it.

The portrait mode is also quite nice, you could see and feel the bokeh happening.

Specs for the geeks!

I am currently using an OPPO F7 and it has been quite useful for taking photos and video coverages. It doesn't make me cartoonish like the new OPOO Reno 2 Series

They got us to enjoy music throughout the night by taking celebrations slightly darker than usual, they want us to use the phones and take photos with the band setup like this.

Oh and the phone also is not shaky, it has some technology fit for video bloggers hence their tagline Anyone Can Make Their Story.

They want you to elevate your creative talent, this phone has better stabilization than your old phone, even has audio zoom, and the Sharksfin pop up camera was a nice addition or way to have something conventional because they just thought out of the box. The 4000 mAh battery will last you hours of game time, optimized for your gaming experience. I want one honestly, but if it doesn't happen well, arms raised, this is just good. It also costs Php 29,990 and the Reno 2 F costs Php 19,990 which are both attractive price points for the hardware they sell. 

I didn't get to explore much about the phone's features, but that was our first impression with the ones we handled during the event. Hope we could get a review unit soon.
