SMALL LAUDE for POWER MELO and MERIXIN TURMERIC

Thursday, January 12, 2023

Looks like Small Laude's love for everything organic and healthy is paying off as she is now the face of POWER MELO Juice Drink and Merixin Turmeric (that comes in capsule and juice form). In grand ceremonies, she was welcomed to the Corbridge Group Phils. Inc. by no less than their President and General Manager German Panghulan in front of excited media covering the event.

For those who don't know, she's a very popular vlogger, socialite, entrepreneur. She used to believe that turmeric was just for cooking as she often has it in curry. She now knows its health and anti inflammatory benefits that would be good for the heart, liver, bones and lower the risk of cancer. She admits she's in her golden years and says that she wants her supplements to be conveniently taken and au naturelle. Since both of these are in dietary supplements and powdered juice form, it's quite easy to carry around or take after every meal. She also loves the fact that Merixin Turmeric 4 in 1 juce has calamansi and stevia as sweetener. She also wants people to be aware of its health benefits especially those that are plant based and organic.

I also personally got to taste the POWER MELO juice drink and it's a really refreshing drink without the guilt. It's also got that lovely pomelo flavor and tons of anti oxidants that you need to last throughout the day. Remember, if it is sourced from organic substances, it can lessen oxidative stress and prevent different diseases. It is also advised that you take this before a meal or early in the day as it takes time for vitamins to be absorbed by the body.

As you can see, she was so happy that Corbridge trusted her with these products. Now it's time you take care of your body and get the same health benefits Small Laude is enjoying with POWER MELO and Merixin Turmeric. It's available in 7-11 stores, Mercury Drugstore, Watson's and leading health stores in the metro. They are slowly distributing it nationwide so stay tuned and ask for it when you visit pharmacies/health stores soon.

5 Reasons Why You Should Start Your Martial Arts Training

Thursday, May 26, 2016

I usually spend summer either just going out of town or reading books so I could prepare for what comes after. We spend a couple of months preparing that perfect summer physique but never really realize our goal because buffet restaurants abound and our will is weak - so we might as well enjoy the season and eat. Summer is just around the corner for some of us (in other parts of the world) and sometimes, you need that summer body fast. So you make a decision and tell yourself that you must lose X amount of pounds so you can fit into those favorite pair of jeans that's been sitting in your wardrobe for the past year. The thing is, you subconsciously hate the norm of the gym and running doesn't really get you excited either. Have you ever considered trying a form of martial arts? Perhaps you don't know much about it yet or never really been properly introduced to this niche of sport. I was able to actually practice elementary Wushu and it did wonders for me when I was a bit younger. Of course fitness plays a huge part in this training, but there are a lot more other benefits that can also improve your health and well-being. It’s incredibly easy to start and there are so many different arts to choose from, you’d be crazy not to at least try and see how it feels. You can see all the different fight styles at Martial Tribes but for now, let me explain 5 reasons why everyone should practice this particular sport.

Flexibility

I didn't have super powers and it took me quite a number of weeks to at least do a decent split of which I thought was nearly impossible when I started. After a few lessons you will start to feel more stretched and limber as martial arts will get you actively punching and kicking moving all limbs and muscles. Practicing martial arts will increase your flexibility and it will enhance your reach. Your kicks will become higher, your dodges more sharp which gives you overall advantage when you're fighting. The better your flexibility the better your posture will become resulting to less pains in the body as you age. Up until now, I could still do it with ease and never complained if back problems like those in my batch. It really has improved a lot and the stretching capability still impresses people my age. That's just one of the perks!

Coordination

I always have enormous amount of energy and was even dubbed as an energizer bunny by my professors because I didn't really stop moving around when I was a bit younger. This was a really great place to put it in and learn self defense. Learning to jab, punch and kick for multiple times and switching up the order will test your memory and coordination. This is also a great way exercise so you could improve your focus and balance which can then be carried over into other activities of life. The more you train, your coordination will also increase your alertness and speed. You'll easily win sparring matches and impress those who are not into it yet. You can start to inspire people!

Self Defense

I was bullied a lot when I was a kid and not many other sports can give you protection like martial arts. Knowing how to defend yourself and others around you will give you a sense of relief that if ever in a sticky scenario, you would know what to do. The ability to defend oneself greatly improves self-confidence and self esteem.

Wing Chun teaches you how to fight an opponent that is bigger and stronger than you, yet at the same time teaches you to be humble about your actions. It is practically self defense, so you can protect yourself and your loved ones if the need arises.

Stress Relief

If you're like me who's always stressed when at work, then this is definitely a good stress reliever. The practice of martial arts can lower your tension levels greatly. Martial arts has been known to have several stress reducing effects including released endorphins (hormones that make you happy!) to elevate mood and remove waste that clutter up your body and mind. When practicing martial arts, you generally develop greater focus and calmness of mind while training. The more you practice it, you'll develop positive attitude and better outlook on life.

Mental Focus

Martial arts can help with mental alertness and concentration. These of which can then be transferred to work and everyday living. You will experience greater energy levels and boost yourself so you would be able to “go that extra mile” when you need it.

You will find that with these 5 effects when practicing martial arts are only going to do you good. A fair warning would be that this will become addictive. The hardest part of your training is the beginning but after that, you will soon be craving it. While you may not notice it immediately, you will start feeling better, stronger and faster. Over time, you should begin feeling all of the above benefits and get that summer body in no time!

Benefits Style Salon

Sunday, December 12, 2010

It was a great day for beginnings last Saturday December 11, 2010. I graced the re-launch of BENEFITS Style Salon at Eastwood City. The mood was great and everyone was in a festive mood as they changed the facade of this store from the previous "classy more upscale look" to a "newer, fresher, colorful, accessible and bold skin". I was also in for a treat because they hooked me up for a hair make over. Since I look a little haggard and groggy that day I went in for the ride!

The "BEFORE" look... =)

Yeap that's me! I'm not as good looking as I was before I started this blog but hey you could probably mistake me for some movie star huh?! Ha-ha! They got me into the treatments first and boy those shampoo guys must have been sent from heaven! Your stress and hair problems will be long forgotten since the simple thing includes a soothing massage which I don't often see in usual salons in the metro. I should know because I frequent some of them when the time comes to cut my hair.

You won't be worried because you see this display? They are using Loreal products and if you see other brands there it would be of much high end quality so you are SURE that you are not being cheated unlike other unscrupulous salons would do. I'm sure you see most of them not doing the prep work with the products because they probably using substandard ones. BENEFITS Style Salon makes sure you get what you pay for and more!

All their staff are also trained in Loreal so you get the best cuts, make up styles and service above anything else.

Bloggers getting the Royal Treatment

I wasn't alone in this treat because there are also other bloggers that can attest to the prime service that they do, ask Anton of Pusangkalye.net or Sai of fashionbysai.blogspot.com and Jeman of OrangeMagazineTV and they'll tell you the story! Like this story ain't enough for you huh?! =) Did I forget to mention that you can just pay 199 for a haircut?! Yeah it is that low, no wonder I saw a throng of people outside the salon waiting to get the best service this side of the town. If you are a resident or working for a company inside Eastwood City, you'll get 20 percent off too! Isn't that great!?

You can also get to use their house IPAD units so you won't get bored while waiting for your hair color or treatments to be done. They've also got WIFI which makes this the perfect spot for gadget freaks like me to hangout bar none!

And after the hair make over! Tadaaaaa!

AFTER the haircut... I like it!

Ohh if I can only tell you how much I liked the hair cut. It's edgy and very current, I like how it went with my not so manageable hair which is a problem for me when it gets a little long and curly. In fact I'm surely going back there once it grows out (and probably do a new style). I'll be recommending it to my office mates too since they give out that deal for people who work here. I love it so much!

See? I told you it was good! =) Now here's to another journey for the good looking guy! #NAKANANG! LOL!

Thanks to the guy who did may hair (sorry couldn't recall his name BUT REALLY THANKS!), he's awesome and we had some acquaintances in common. My unruly hair now looks great and I owe these people for that! Make sure you all drop by at their Eastwood branch which is located at the 2nd Floor Fashion Square Bldg. Eastwood Citywalk (side of MANOR Superclub just ride the escalator). Give yourself a treat this Christmas and be pampered with hair and make up professionals from BENEFITS STYLE SALON!

I would also like to thank everyone at Benefits Style Salon specially Sam Escalante for the super awesome hospitality. Your staff and people are really good I must say. Thank you so much for everything and please expect me to be back soon!

Good Benefits!

Wednesday, April 07, 2010

My Mom and Dad retired from their jobs a few years ago and we are generally just spending their well deserved rest at home. They are in the same situation though because after they retired from their respective companies Mom and Dad got their lump sum pension. Mom worked in the government for over 25 years and she is a public school teacher. She went up the ranks and eventually became Assistant Principal. After a few years she just got stressed and tired and it was really getting toxic. She was supposed to get her master's degree and get the Principal position on other schools but she begged off because she was already fulfilled and a little tired of work politics. Dad worked in an aviation corporation as an HR Executive and he is in charge of getting people their social security transactions. If something was to take part between the corporation and other institutions like SSS or GSIS he is surely going to be the one to talk to. He did a great job and spent 20 years climbing the ranks and he was well rewarded after 25 years of service. He played basketball for the corporation too and they won a lot of games for them. It brought prestige because my Dad was a former college star player and that is one way of going professional. In its truest sense; they have done a very good job.

They both got the lump sum of their benefits so they do not have to wait and get old before they enjoy the fruit of their labor. At least we get to travel with them now. I love them both!

World War II Veterans Apply for Equity Benefits

Tuesday, April 07, 2009

Over 26,000 World War II Veterans applied for equity benefits which was passed by Barrack Obama together with the stimulus package. He has pronounced that this should never be delayed because they are some who are sick and dying. From what I have heard this will amount to about 9,000 dollars or about 432,000 pesos so this is a huge payment for those who almost lost their lives in that fight. That amount is only for those who are in the Philippines. For those who are in the US, I think I heard that it would amount to about 15,000 dollars... which I hope I am not mistaken.

My Grandpa is also one of those who will get benefits since he served that war and got POW'd even. I just hope they pay what is due them. Good thing Obama knows his priorities and these veterans have paid enough I think. Giving them this is actually a little too late but its good at least that they gave it... confusing as that may sound its just good...

US Ambassador to the Philippines Kristie Kenney said that this number will increase in the coming days. I like this US Ambassador because she is so down to earth. Today, they are continually processing the papers of these veterans and I hope it would all be given soon.

Obama Cares about Veterans

Thursday, February 19, 2009

Tuwang tuwa ah.. hehe joke!
The processing of claims for Filipino veterans are being fast tracked by the US government and are being given priority so things like benefits would be given what's due them. US Ambassador to the Philippines Kristie Kenney promised this after US President Barack Obama signed the awaited 'economic stimulus package' where the Veterans Equity Bill is also included. Kenney assured transparency in these claims so only legitimate Philippine veterans would only be given their compensation.

She was also saddened that there are a lot of World War II Veterans that already died and never got the opportunity to receive their benefits. She added that she knows how this feels for their loved ones because her father was also part of the army who passed away four years ago. A pretty heartfelt gesture for the US ambassador. I like her a lot.
