Nicolas Crisostomo the President of LGBA says "This is a form sport and entertainment for a lot of people and it has helped a lot of industries including farms, veterinarians, those who create supplements, farm equipments and even sports. It's a thriving industry in the country and Laking V-22 can help you from day 1 til the day of the actual fight."

Belman Laboratories is driven to make sure you get what you need when the day comes especially for those who want the "Subok Sa Lakas Todo!" effect it gives on animals and their health.

VP Renee King Rodriguez of Belman Laboratories says "I'd like to introduce our team, our CEO Ma'am Belle, Cris Alonso our Chief of Commercial Strategy, and our legacy employees who have stayed with us through the years and helped make what Belmant Laboratories is today. These new products we are launching was planned about 4 years ago. We focused on operational efficiency and did industry studies in the animal care segment. Our master brand has seen a big opportunity in the sabong industry. It is growing, and is part of our culture. There are new generation of people in it and we talked to them in person. They have different stories and it was awesome to know how their interest in this sport started. Today we have a range of products which we over deliver in quality. We needed to communicate this to stakeholders so more people would be able to try it. We re-designed our packaging, and make it also be attractive to the new generation of people who use our products, all of which have been tested by three generations of sabungeros. This is our service to them."

Cris Alonso the Chief of Commercial Strategy for Belman Laboratories says "Today is a culmination of hard work, and our commitment is to deliver products that resonates with our consumers. Our team has poured passion, to elevate the lives of breeders, and see what we have done in health, and we are immensely grateful to our partners and customers as we grow our community. Thank for your presence, let's embrace the future of our industry."

Nicolas Crisostomo adds "This is a 50 Billion peso industry and currently we are plateauing. It was higher during pre-pandemic times and are slowly recovering. The trend is slow, but what is good is that we are seeing a future in this industry and how they are creating new livestock medicines because they see something good in it. Everyone may have been in hard times, especially the backyard breeders, but the passion is there and with it is room to grow. Feeds, medicine, labor is affected especially the small ones, there is less demand for it but these activities can go places and investments may increase in the long run. Automation is also being done for production, better for business in some ways and hopefully makes it efficient."

Carlo Dimayuga the National Sales Manager for Belman Laboratories compared things to racing pigeons and said "You need Dedication, to make sure you take care of your fowls. Attention to detail, so in their race day you are assured to be with full wings. You also need Constant Improvement, to breed the best out of the bunch without a common bird in 4 generations. I've been doing this since 1985 when I joined the company, and we will level up starting now. Thank you!"

Mr. Matthew"Boknoy" Torno WPC LATE BORN 22 Champion says "I've been using V-22 products for years now, I give them vita tablets, before a grand fight. I combine then 3 days before and the actual day which is part of the reason why I have champions."

If you are raring to start a business or doing it for passion, you can now use Belmam Laboratories "Laking V-22" line from day 1 to the fight day, so they too become "Subok Na Lakas Todo!"

More Celebrities, Food, Destinations on the Second Year of FARM TO TABLE

Saturday, February 18, 2023

Chef JR ROYOL is steadily becoming a household name in the Philippines through his show "Farm to Table". They are currently celebrating their 2nd year and yes, there are going to be a few changes especially with the way they do the show.

The confident man who hails from Mountain Province talked to us more about what's going to happen in the next few weeks as they come out with more content from different locations. Farm to Table will visit his Mom's hometown of Barlig in this week's episode. This will start on Sunday at 6:50PM.

He says "Thank you for celebrating our 2nd Farmniversary with us, we are excited to share with you good news about the show. Definitely it's going to be a consistent cooking element, we are going to expand our reach, the places that we plan to go to will have us explore and discover more people week after week. I would hope we can do that in the next few episodes, so we can tell more stories and food adventures too. It's totally a collaborative effort to focus on food we do. We don't limit ourselves with a particular cuisine and always integrate local ingredients that we have in the country and tell the stories about them. We want to start this year with a bang, so this weekend we will have BEA ALONZO as our guest. We will also be having TikTok personalities and other chefs that will also be in the show. As far as guests, we have a lot of stars coming in the next food adventures!"

He is so thankful about the show and adds "The show was able to make me work with very dynamic people, we are not boxed up and the different locations gives us a chance to work with a lot of talented individuals. We also get to create different dishes with not so common produce, we usually encounter them in the local markets and the locals tell us how to cook it."

He wants to introduce a dish internationally and says "Pinikpikan is the number one dish that should be introduced to the world. It's easy, the method can be taught, and I could eat it everyday. If there's anything, it's number one for me because there's nothing like it. You could also see it in other cultures but the process is innately ours alone."

He remarks "I wish the show would last for years, this show could be done til we're sixty, but more than that, to our viewers I hope you watch it every week. We do it purely that this comes from our heart, and I hope our viewers appreciate how we do Farm to Table."

There's certainly more to look forward to in the next few episodes, so if you are into food adventures, get Chef JR ROYOL to take you along different places in the Philippines and see how colorful our food culture is. This show airs Sundays on GTV and their other online channels.

Alex Gonzaga's Farm Tour Prank with Loren Legarda

Monday, September 20, 2021

What started as a tour in Deputy Speaker Loren Legarda's family farm and property has become a stressful prank courtesy of funny YouTuber and comedy star Alex Gonzaga.

The place is nice, they employed ecological practices to grow flowers, vegetables, medicinal plants which they also harvested and consume in real life. Though we know Ms. Loren to be a strict hard hitting journalist on TV, she's quite relaxed telling Alex more about what she could also do with the plants seen inside the farm. She also gave Alex some to take home so she could share with her folks and husband if ever they needed Aloe Vera for hair treatment. Alex likened the place to popular Sonya's Garden in Tagayatay, and true enough they got some of it for a small salad serving later on in the tour. She also explained Republic Act 9003 Ecological Solid Waste Management Law, which she authored in 2001.

While walking in the property, Ms. Loren found Alex scratching, and immediately, Ms. Loren called a hospital's dermatological head, suggesting antihistamine. They were calling her Toni most of the time, she got stressed even more. She acted really itchy, cried too, when Ms. Loren pulled out a tube of topical steroid from her bag (she's that ready!), Alex Gonzaga then revealed that it was a prank.

Oh Alex! You got the Deputy Speaker fooled, hook line and sinker!

Watch the prank unfold here! So silly!

Laugh and Cry to TOFARM's "Kamunggay"

Wednesday, July 12, 2017

I thought it was the same thing as the Moringa plant, and I was right. Kamunggay is the Visayan dialect equivalent of the lovely and nutritious Malunggay plant common in Filipino vegetable dishes and they named it after this with good reason. In a town and era where global warming got the Filipinos to undergo famine and hunger, the townspeople had one thing to do in order to survive, that is to plant food. There are really resilient and industrious ones, and there are those who chose not to work at all. That's where the conflict begins because these unscrupulous people started stealing from the old farmer, and get away with it.

Albeit heartbroken and furious about the situation, a lot of them got by with just making soup with the "Kamunggay" plant and got nourished fairly. It's a fight for survival, for ethics, how to deal with people who steal, how to make them pay for it, or just let them be. It's a story of family in the Cebuano and Mindanaoan Visayan dialect where you'll love the quirps of giving up, the act of giving, and bearing the fruits of your labor. All in that thin line of choosing what is right and wrong.

"Kamunggay" includes actorsKent Raymond Basa, Roger Gonzales, legendary singer Ms. Dulce Cruzata, Skyzx Labastilla and indie singer Bayang Barrios. They will tell you their individual stories and you'll learn how it affects everyone in the community.

This entry is written and directed by famed director Victor Acedillo Jr. who also did "Kakampi" in last year's festival. They make you see a lot of small funny things, and perhaps attempt to make you cry about how the life story ends for these characters. The festival runs from July 12-18 and will show this and other entries at SM Megamall, SM Manila, Greenbelt 1, Robinsons Galleria and Gateway Mall in Cubao.

This will be a good addition to your must watch films during the TOFARM Film Festival. Make sure you support this worthwhile projects made to uplift the lives of farmers across the country!

A NONI Fruit and Stevia Farm Tour in Bulacan

Saturday, June 10, 2017

Have you heard or seen a NONI fruit? How about a Stevia plant? Well I have heard of it but have never seen it. Today we're privileged to have been able to visit a Stevia farm in Sta. Maria Bulacan.

Dr. Tito Contado and The Queen o Stevia Ms. Au De Leon welcomed us and said "It's a good day today and we hope we could get you to enjoy the little tour we prepared for you in the Sweet and Fit Stevia farm which is dubbed as The Sweetest Farm In Town. We thank you for your gracious presence, today the NONI that we are talking about is a creation of God who is the formulator of the natural NONI. While Au is the queen of Stevia, you can call me the King of NONI in the Philippines. As part the media, I could only imagine what would interest you in this farm, I have been an agricultural professional since the 60's and I have been educating farmers about new farming technologies here and abroad.

I have comfortably retired already, but I decided to come back here because I felt there was so much I can do for the development of the country. With all the pool of comfortable life outside the Philippines, I asked myself how we have tons of scientists and research but don't have products in the country. They all end up in other countries instead of us making a product. We have labor but don't have them working mostly here. I learned in my travels that entrepreneurs are the backbone of any country, it generates employment and producing multimillion wort of products from NONI, an obscure medicinal plant, have been able to convert this into a really good enterprise. 75 percent of it is being sold on exports and only have 25% sold in the Philippines. We want to revere that and hopefully sell more here. We have local farmers here who find this fruit in the wild, and they get paid a lot as we produce tons of it. Americans have tested this to be the most potent neutraceutical content and it was Tahitian Noni, but people have discovered we have this already in the country.

With this NONI Juice, some people have found it to cure tumors, I had a bypass in the 90's and only 3/15 of us in the hospital who took it, and learned we healed faster than the others since we had our surgery. Our blood pressure has been constant and found us healthy. Many of these people in Los Banos where I got my bypass were still in theraphy, they were all gone and I am still here even if most of them were younger than me. I said thank God! I beleive that at 81, I shouldn't be doing many things like what I am doing now, but NONI is good and I want to make people know about it. I want them to know that if it comes in the Philippines we have a good product. I want everyone to be younger, better, healthier even at the golden years of their life."

So we also saw how they planted and produced the Noni fruit and Stevia plants, they call it PhilNONI Juice Con Stevia, and recently they have been able to supply this at Mercury Drug nationwide! I think they would be able to realize their dream locally since the biggest chain already approved it in their stores. The company who produces it is called Philippine Morinda Citrifolia, Incorporated and it is basedin 9613 Taal Street in Los Banos Laguna. You can visi their channels at Facebook.com/PhilMorindaCitrifolia and their website www.philnoni.com.

It retails for Php 1050 per 500ml bottle in Mercury Drug outlets nationwide.
