Fuji Xerox Launches 21 New ApeosPort Series

Tuesday, February 02, 2021

Today was an awesome day to launch new products from Fuji Xerox. The brand is synonymous with everything there is to do with copiers, but of course in the industry, they're one of the largest corporations to produce SOHO all in one devices such as copiers, printers, scanners, fax machines, software and cloud services. This pandemic as also been so hard for them business wise, but what I heard earlier in their launch was excitement, optimism that even in these times, they can make your home office or businesses flourish with new top of the line models of their ApeosPort Series.

Hideaki Kato Xerox President says "The past year has been challenging even to our way of life, at 2021, we are moving forward with our new products. This is part of the new normal, we can help businesses with these even in the unprecedented situation. Thank you!"

Eliza Crizanto says "Today we are launching the new ApeosPort series. 21 new models for our Apeos Port series. Whether you are a small, medium or enterprise business, we have multi-function printers in different speeds and sizes. We still have copiers, printers and scanners that would support the new normal lifestyle, freedom from security threats and more. Work style is different, now we have mobile phones, wireless devices, now you can control copy and scan jobs by tapping and controlling it with your smartphones. The toners are made of EA Eco Toners, very eco-friendly, doesn't need much high electric consumption for output. If the components are not being used, it is simply turned off and very eco-compliant. It has smart energy management technology. If you are doing a scan job, the other features are not powered, therefore less electric consumption."

Oscar Dolendo Head of Marketing adds "Our new ApeosPort series have impenetrable data, prevents malware or virus, it also has hard drive encryption, has logged detailed information for tracking. It only allows authenticated users to use the device. It can make you worry free from cyber attacks, the new ApeosPort series has complied with very stringent Japanese/Global standards and technology, giving you freedom from security threats."

James Singson Product Manager for Fuji Xerox says "The security features are already placed in the machines, no need to install anything. If customer need customer support, it will be provided on contract, so no need to worry if the need arises."

ApeosPort series can simplify your work with paperless procedures, electronic signatures, and with it, you can unlock your full business potential. Their carefree management can minimize downtime, easy fleet management, so you can focus on your core business and not attend to any of Fuji Xerox equipment. This is done by electronic partnership-broadband (EP-BB), remote device health check and remote assistance. EP BB send machine information to Fuji Xerox for toner refills, alerts if the machine experience problems, usage, eco impact and service history. Their call centers get the alerts and they contact you directly. That's reassuring.

Remote Device Health Checks are done with the machine sending data of its different components and device sensing points so they can take pro active efforts sometimes even before customer experiences it. Like wear and tear, service technicians will be deployed and fix it for you. They also take preventive maintenance measures so they can make the equipment healthy. RDHC also generates monthly health reports so they can see machines and its performance. For remote assistance, this is the last line of defense where customers are attended to the quickest possible time. You can connect via cloud by walking through the process, you can fix things and forget about the equipment and use your efforts for the business instead.

Currently, they have the ApeosPort Series available in the market and you can contact Fuji Xerox Philippines or their channel partners nationwide if you want to avail of their devices and services.

Fujifilm's Mirrorless Revolution + Camera and Lens Festival

Monday, September 14, 2015

Had the chance to drop by the Fujifilm event in New World Hotel Makati today and found some very new and interesting cameras. It's also their Camera and Lens Festival so it'll be an exciting month for those who love street and travel photography. I was really itching to switch, drooling over the X-T1 honestyly but I have yet to find a huge reason to do so. Aside from that it will come with a very hefty price so I might need to sell Trish (my D60 Nikon cam don't tell her!) but I wanted to see more reasons if it's worth it.

The Camera and Lens Festival for Street and Travel is going on and the 30-50% discount for lenses is until the end of this month so you better head out to Fujifilm stores and authorized sellers if you're interested. Aside from that, the cameras go for Php 19,990 - 69,990 in different models X30, X100T, X-A2, X-E2, X-T10, but am still in love with that XT-1 as I said earlier. That's less Php 2,500 - Php 12,000 the original price, does that convice you to switch? I know, I'm already depressed knowing that LOL! It's going on until November 30 so you'll have tons of time to decide.

My mentor Fashion Photographer Niko Villegas and other famous guys in the industry use these caneras and they've proven how the mirrorless cameras fare with the heavy and bulky DSLR. I'm glad I have the smallest one in the Nikon line but just imagine the other guys who carry around full framed cams at sky high prices these days. Sometimes, it's just not practical anymore. Another reason to switch. You get that? The mirrorless camera revolution is here, you might have the reasons to switch now and probably waiting for the right time, this might be it. It's the best innovation to have sharper images, right colors, not that much reason to edit and imagine the work you don't have to do if it's worthy straight from the cam. I spend hours doing that.

The print and image quality is stunning. Sometimes I wonder why I've been holding on to bulky cameras when I could have just made my life easier with a mirrorless camera. It's got X Trans CMOS sensor with a random pixel arrangement, solving color aberration, moire and have accurate color reproduction in high resolution format. Better quality than dslr's and full frame cameras, without the bulky size.

Here's some snippets during the event:

Congratulations Fujifilm! You'll definitely convert a lot of consumers after this showing!

Fujifilm's Launch Of The X-A2 and New Endorser Tim Yap

Monday, March 16, 2015

We had the chance to see the launch of the newest camera from Fuji a couple of days ago. In attendance were executives from Fujifilm Philippines Inc. headed by its President Takashi Sasaki (in full Samurai form). They are here to launch the new FUJIFILM X-A2. It's Fuji's best and latest camera  that has got an interchangeable lens, a 175' tilting LCD, automatic eye detection focus that would make this the perfect selfie camera. It's also got a direct Instax Share Printing feature that would be able to get your photos printed in seconds!

The X-A2 also has Auto Macro Autofocus and Multi Targeted Autofocus. If you are taking portraits, or subjects on matrix mode, you have that taken cared of easily. The tilting LCD was really meant to make it easy for users to see subjects even on odd angles. All of which will be seen in X Series image quality, a mark that only Fujifilm has.

The camera also has the ability to have interchangeable lenses, if the shoe fits, you can use different lengths which will give users the ability to shoot in different conditions and distances. It's even powered with a flash so intelligent, that it controls light output according to set individual scenes. So if you've got something against the light, it won't be a problem with the Fujifilm X-A2. Now that's something I'd want to experience soon. I didn't have the chance to use it during the event because people were just too busy with it!

We even had a few contests in between to win fun prizes such as instax cameras of different models. It even includes one that has wifi built in so you can print and send photos directly to your gadgets too.

Looks like their direction is into getting connected. The chance to tell your story through photography and making it easy for each individual user to share the media faster through different devices is not just becoming a fad, but more of a necessity. It definitely makes life easy.

Oh and it was the opportune time to also welcome to the Fujifilm family their newest endorser. It's Eventologist cum Talkshow host Tim Yap. He also had to do the compulsory X sign that's unique to the Philippine endorsers. Now, there's more cameras that would fit your lifestyle if it comes from Fujifilm Philippines. You may check them out in Fujifilm stores and partner resellers nationwide! Now I wonder how I'd be able to test one... so I could tell if it's time to crossover from the darkside. :)

The Instax Wanderlaunch Event

Monday, December 15, 2014

It's my first time to attend an event that talks about everything Fujifilm Instax at the quaint Vanilla Cupcake and Bakery in Trinoma. They called it "The Instax Wanderlaunch" to feed the inquisitive minds of Fujifilm Instax lovers this side of Manila. I've been dreading to get my hands in one of these because it's one of the mediums I've less explored when it comes to photography. I am a Fashion Photographer and I fancy things like these especially when I see gun-hoe Fashion Bloggers take sheer effort and see their output in just a few minutes. The vintage effects are wildly spectacular, the other cute ingenious things added to that mix were pretty popular especially the ones they have launched last December 6, I wanted to see for my self the new models of Instax. That's where we met the new instax Mini Hello Kitty, instax wide 300 and more color variations of the much loved instax mini 8, and mini 90 Neo Classic.

Instax Mini Hello Kitty

Meet the ultimate Hello Kitty lovers dream camera, this is the Instax Mini Hello Kitty. This is the cutest camera that I have ever seen in my entire life, it'll probably be the same with you guys. If you're finding that perfect gift for your lovely wife, this might be just it. Mind you, this hardware has got a 60mm lens and has a 0.37x real image viewfinder. You'll only see what's out there, or maybe even better. It also has a 0.6 - ∞ focus range plust 1/60 sec shutter speed and constant firing (don't worry because it's got auto light adjust) and a flash range of about 0.6m –2.7 m, so you have room to shoot those OOTD's you love and get the best prints in a jiffy. This thing retails at Php 4999.00, but it'll be worth it, best gift ever for the ladies!

Two cameras up top are the Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 Instant Camera
For those who have loved the Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 Instant Camera of years now, this might come as a big surprise for you. I almost thought they were thinking of soft velvety cupcakes that afternoon but it looks like they're just adding a few more lovely colors to the already great line of Instax Mini 8 cameras they already have in the store. This is the Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 Grape and Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 Raspberry. Man, I could almost see my girl shooting with these cameras on our special dates, I have yet to find her first though LOL. Though really, with this look, you'll love every bit of it. It's yummy in all sides and has got really good grip. It can even last generations but just make sure it doesn't get wet, we all know how that will ruin the moment. These gorgeous things retail for only Php 3699.00. Pretty affordable for the artsy you.

Meet the Fujifilm Instax Mini 90 Neo Classic
This has got to be my favorite out of the bunch. It's the Fujifilm Instax Mini 90 Neo Classic. The photographer in me tells that it's got one of the most sophisticated looks out of the cameras that were launched that day. You can even put this side by side with the other cameras I have at home. The brown leather look just spells macho all over it without going overboard girly. How I wish I could have this thing along my travels and events because I'd surely enjoy taking shots with it. I hope they can lend me a unit so I can get to test it out some day. I have tons of film and it would be great to have this when I have celebrities to interview. It'll look pretty cool on the layout as well for my articles, then I could give them the hard copy as a souvenir. I'd be like the thoughtful one who gave them their photos. The Fujifilm Instax Mini 90 Neo Classic Instant Film Camera costs around Php 9500.00.

This is the new instax Wide 300

For those who love group shots, or taking wide angled photos of their latest destinations, the new Instax Wide 300 would be your perfect companion. Made with a purpose, it's going to fit any generic tripod if you are planning to capture those spectacular landscapes you have always wished to get a shot with. You have to use the corresponding wide sized film for Instax Wide 300 so your lovely images gets immortalized the proper way. Pretty dope, it's only available in this color now (chrome-ish/Silver and black) which looks very modern in every angle. Don't worry about dark shots too much because it's also got a built in flash to compensate with non available light if you've got problems with that too. This beauty costs Php 6999.00.

I had to have a few shots too you know!
Now that I've got a few films in my hand, I can't wait to start shooting with my friends and family. Fujifilm Instax just takes artsy photography to a whole different level. The vintage-y feel just speaks to me, and a whole other different people that appreciate what the Fujifilm Instax can do. I laud them for continuing this art form, I admit I was a skeptic before but seeing these prints made me feel and realize it has a purpose. It might fit yours too. Go get one at Fujifilm outlets and their partner stores nationwide!

Fujifilm Philippines Relaunches Store and New X-Series!

Saturday, December 22, 2012

It was fun to see people in a celebratory and festive mood when I arrived at the basement store of Fuji Film a few days ago in Megamall. They have been there for years now but they have completely renovated the place and got more things in store for you. Shall we look around?! Let's do this! =)

Executives from Fuji Film in the Philippines and Japan were all there to witness the relaunch of this store in Megamall. It was nice to see them celebrating, they were all very proud about how this store became a landmark for film and camera enthusiasts in the metro. We were also treated to see the new line of cameras that Fuji has for the X Series.

The X Series was launched this January 2012. The X-E1 just like the rest of the models in this line had that vintage feel. Even though this isn't film, the hybrid electronic view makes it the perfect companion without lugging around that heavy DSLR camera and quality wise this is at par with what professionals use. It's got a built in pop up flash that I was so worried about because it flips out too strong for its build and got 16 Megapixels shooting prowess that would be the envy of most mirrorless cams in its price range. Although a little pricey, it pays off as one of the most affordable toned down versions of the Fuji XPro-1. It's got HD video too and autofocuses unike DSLR's that don't have that feature yet making it a mile and a half better than other brands.

Submitting itself to the demands of those professional photographers that want a compact camera, FujiFilm came out with this X10 giving the digicam market another choice instead of the Panasonic Lumix and Powershot Cybershot cams of Sony and Canon. It's got one of the best sensors, 12MP quality and something that most professionals would carry because it can beat most DSLR's in the market even if it's not a full pledge professional camera. At 2.0 to 2.8 it's got one of the best aperture range perfect for low light conditions and all around performance without being too big for comfort.

It's got that same EX-R sensor such as in the X10 and X-S1 so you will probably have the same output even on a sleeker and quite new classy frame. This particular model is said to be the perfect second body for the conventional DSLR's. I wanted to have the brown one; the other ones were black and red; (it's clad in leather and metal finish). Testing out the camera in the Fujifilm store it's the perfect all around camera because it has fast F1.8 maximum aperture for wide angle shots and F4.9 its max telephoto capability.

This one started it all. A brand new mount, a brand new lens convention and its own set of lenses. Fujifilm totally redesigned this from ground up so they can control the excellent output they always wanted now that they are in the compact camera industry. It's got 16MP and can output raw files. This also has the APS-C X-Trans CMOS sensor that is being used now for other cams in this series; a milestone in Fujifilm's development of the new cameras. It also has the EXR Processor Pro image processor implemented in other X Series cameras, dual-magnification hybrid optical / electronic viewfinder that you can switch automatically in between, analogue dials for shutter speed and exposure compensation on the top of the camera. I like the 35mm at 1.4 and suggest you try that inside the store. It's one of the best in its class.

I would have wanted to spend a little more time at the Fujifilm center but didn't get to do so because of time constraints. But what impresses me the most is that aside from them having the new space is the experience of touching the cameras and able to test them out. This is something that I didn't get to do with my DSLR and getting a grip of it before purchasing is part of the experience. I would suggest you try and approach them at the Megamall basement branch because the people there are very accommodating. That's the upside. You can experience more in this new place. For photography enthusiasts like me, try and experience it.
