Excitement Builds for New Puregold Channel Series "Ang Babae Sa Likod ng Face Mask"

Netizens are begginning to feel the excitement over Puregold Channel's newest series called "Ang Babae sa Likod ng Face Mask" starring viral sensation Herlene Budol and good looking guy Joseph Marco. They play the role of lovers, about to delve into romance and they're already building intereset in social channels, with released videos already getting 1.1 Million views in less than 24 hours, a feat that wouldn't be beat proor to the series premiere.

Both Joseph Marco's and Herlene Budol's fans are showing their support for these actors, telling how they feel giddy over their new pairing. Herlene plays Malta who works hard for the money, trying to make ends meet and support her mother Madam Baby played by Mickey Ferriols. Marco on the other hand plays Sieg who just came out of a relationship, but while hurting meets this mysterious gal with a face mask comes and becomes interested with her. Will this spark romance on the show?

A Charitable Birthday for Skin Magical’s Ghie Pangilinan

Skin Magical CEO and Founder Ms. Ghie Pangilinan turned the big 40 last Sept. 11th. This was still ECQ period and she wanted to make her day a very memorable one. So she chose to celebrate it with the people from Haven for the Elderly in Tanay, Rizal, a center for taking care of abandoned or retired elderly people.

They prepared bags of groceries and assorted clothes. Together with a few staff members, they distributed these to resident lolos and lolas. In return, they thanked her for her kindness and generosity. They were also prepared meals during a short event, health protocols were observed. She has been doing this since 2014 and the folks at the center felt they're never forgotten. 

She also didn't forget to treat her 400 employees. A special feast was arranged (physical distancing observed). They each received five kilos of rice and a gift from Ms. Pangilinan as well. She also did the same for her neighbors and tricycle drivers of Sitio Butig, Brgy San Pedro in Morong, Rizal. This is where the Skin Magical manufacturing plant is  located.

Ms. Ghie Pangilinan says “They came to my mind when I was thinking of how to make my birthday special. I often see them before I get into the plant. I have been blessed, and I've always wanted to share them with people who have been supporting me and my company. I felt it’s just but right to share them with others. Our goal is to continue to inspire  Filipinos through locally made brands Skin Magical and Pore It On Cosmeceuticals Solutions, Inc."

She was given gifts and surprised by her husband, celebrity endorsers of her various brands like Dimples Romana, Jolina Magdangal, Joseph 

Marco, Anna Cay, Lars Pacheco, DJ Loonyo, Tim and China, Viy Cortez and Cong TV and Agsunta for Skin Magical, JaMill and Mannex for Speaks G, and the gorgeous Ivana Alawi who endorses Tea Talk. She also received gifts and cakes from her suppliers and distributors, her Marketing, Production and Sales departments as well. Ria Atayde and Joseph Marco for LAB by the Eyebrowdery

This happened about a month ago but had to tell you about it. This launch is about LAB by the Eyebrowdery which is a business venture of super close friends Ria Atayde, Joseph Marco and their partners. The place looks like heaven, very clean as it is relatively new. Joseph told us how hands on he had to be when they were still putting up the shop and he had to instruct people to re-do some of the things during construction so it could pass his standards. 

I could imagine how busy they've been these past few months because of the shows they're in, that together with some minor construction issues must have put a lot of pressure on all of them, but I'm so glad they were able to finish this on time.

It is right now available by appointment, they encourage that at least if you want to have something done, cosmetic or not. Ria's Mom advised them not to do this at first because she was afraid business might affect their friendship, because it's a different world, but Ria assured her to let Joseph take lead if in case they get into that sort of trouble. They're pretty much are going to be the face of the shop and will make sure marketing and media mileage will be taken cared of. The operations side of things will be handled by their partners and since this is The Eyebrowdery franchise, they too will make sure everyone is going to be well trained before they work there. That's quite reassuring. 

Ria is part of The Hows of  Us which just got the highest  grossing movie record in the Philippines and Joseph on the other hand is doing a US tour with Maja Salvador.

10 Reasons Why You Should Watch "Pwera Usog"

I watched the movie "Pwera Usog" last night and I actually enjoyed it! The movie is definitely made for teens. You will get scared, but I don't want to spoil it for you. But I'll give you reasons why you should watch it.

1. You'll have over the board knowledge of how "USOG" works. Extra information on how it happens and how to cure it the albularyo way.

2. You will give above and beyond importance to SALIVA. Don't ask why.

3. You'll learn to be INDEPENDENT just because you are a star on Youtube. The crazier the stunt, the more viral, the better. Then you'll see how wrong that thought is.

4. Family first. Let your parents the real score, they can't help you if you're leaving them out in the dark.

5. Do not underestimate SALT. It does wonders!

6. Aiko Melendez is an action star. You do not mess with her! 

7. Albie Casino is a good swimmer and loverboy, you'll see him shed skin, but don't disturb him in the comfort room, you'll be sorry!

8. Joseph Marco does drama, suspense and horror, but there are slow and sure ways he could make you laugh. Try not to snort if you are doing it.

9. Sofia Andres is a FAST LEARNER. Don't wave your wand or do mumbo jumbo in front of her, she'll learn and do it in just a few minutes.

10. "Pwera Usog" is a pretty good, creepy, Filipinized AVENGERS movie. Again, don't ask me why!

If you want to know why I said these things, and find out yourself, go to cinemas on March 8 and treat your family (ages 13 and up) to a horror film made and designed for millenials. It is just different if you watch it on a movie theater. Thanks to Regal Films you still have horror films to watch in the Philippines that are quite good.

Regal Films Outs Sofia Andres & Devon Seron Starrer "Pwera Usog"

Regal is placing their bet on this new movie by Jason Paul Laxamana called "Pwera Usog". There's no direct english translation about this superstitious belief which means the phenomenon of having a child get fever/sickness brought about a person's presence and it could only be cured by putting saliva in the kid's tummy. Now I know some of you would feel it's crazy, but it's been passed on to generations of Filipinos and followed profusely because there is no harm in doing it (aside from the hygeinic aspect of course!) so go ahead, say "Pwera Usog" to prevent it.

Playing on this myth/superstition, Director Jason wants to make his first horror film at par with the quality that millenials today would actually be scared of. He knows how much material out there (available online) could already be scary for them but he quirps "In horror, I have to be precise, especially the shots and timing. You need a proper build up before you execute that incident of horror. I need to shock and scare them even more since there are online movies that's already out there."
