LBC Express Inc. Introduces Global Ambassador Ms. Kris Aquino

Thursday, May 21, 2015

We've all got our own LBC stories. When your friends, family or just about anybody sends something to and from the Philippines, we trust one global Filipino corporation, the first one too, it's LBC. They're known for their courier service, logistics and currency remittances all over the world. This event I attended to wasn't just about all their services, it was to put a face to the brand that has been able to service millions of Filipinos and people worldwide. LBC Express Inc. has now unveiled their first ever global ambassador, the one and only queen of all media Ms. Kris Aquino. Now, there are more ways than one to see a humane face of the corporation, to be with the one person we adore the most in Philippine TV. Aside from that, Kris finds LBC to be trustworthy. She also takes the initiative to ask her merchant friends to take their services because it's served them well.

Here's a video of her reveal yesterday evening.

Aside from that LBC is introducing two things, the Shipping Cart and TheShop.ph. The Shipping Cart by LBC delivers right to your doorstep. You can get products from online retailers in the US delivered to a free US address where your purchases will be delivered before shipping to the Philippines. Now you can consolidate small items and select your method of shipping either via air or sea cargo. You can also opt to ship items to different addresses and track them all on the website. It's that easy because LBC likes to move it.

For things to be easy, you don't have to gamble with fly by night couriers who may offer you cheap but pretty dangerous ways to deliver your packages. If you can't trust it, don't. That's why LBC is here.

7107 International Music Festival Highlights Day 2

Saturday, March 01, 2014

With a pretty fantastic Day 1 I have yet to see Red Hot Chili Peppers the next day. I don't even know if that part is going to top Kaskade's set last night but I'm pretty confident they're going to make this an even better 7107 International Music Festival! I got back around 2PM because I was drunk and woke up late LOL. I immediately rushed to the Main stage when I heard something familiar playing local tunes.

It was Itchyworms! Jugs had us going, he even joked with the American riggers and said "See we're so sikat (famous) here!" and got the audience laughing with him. It wasn't like showtime at all, it was even more. I was like so proud that there's a Filipino act on the main stage leveling up with all the nationalities that performed there. His antics and his band mates even made fun of the other songs, like a mash up of some sort which made the crowd enjoy more! Represent!

7107 International Music Festival Highlights Day 1

It was the perfect weather for the perfect weekend for the perfect event. I've already live blogged once during the first day but I think you should see my shots from my DSLR too so I'm breaking this down into two days. It's my experience of the 7107 International Music Festival!

Day #1

Stage was set, both equally stunning because these were huge! The second stage (the first one on top) had huge carabao horns and a sun in the background whilst the Main stage (the one on the bottom) had a huge sun edifice with rays on it. Both will be getting local and foreign artists and I've already seen a ton of people outside while others were rushing to get a front seat that afternoon. Gates opened a couple of minutes after 12.

I only had a handful of bands that I loved during the festival and one of them is The Asteroids Galaxy Tour. Their music is fun, melodic and quite reminiscent of Cindy Lauper, Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus and Avril Lavigne's music all in one. The vocalist Mette Lindberg was really good, and she really did put up a good show that afternoon amidst the VERY HOT Pampanga afternoon. You can fry an egg out there.

Plus she's got quite a great personality and found the Philippines very interesting since its always cold where she came from. They're Danish, not the bread. Copenhagen was represented well.

Rap music was not shortchanged of course since Kid Ink was here. He's worked with the best in ehlay and it was their first time in the country too. They wanted to feel what crowd we've got in the Philippines and build from there. I guess they had fun!

7107 International Music Festival Live Blog!

Saturday, February 22, 2014

Hi sports fans! We're live blogging from the 7107 grounds and yes, it's looking so good from where I am. We listened in to Mike Pio Roda this morning and he's quite happy with the turnout. Around 70-80 percent sold, plus more if you count in today and tomorrow's sales. He's also ecstatic that handful of people are coming in and helping too; some who also arrived from nearby countries in the Asia Pacific region. He knows everyone's excited to watch Kaskade tonight and adds that it's pretty hard to benchmark their success this early because it is afterall their first year. To answer some of the funding controversies some online sites made days before, it's simple... bank loans made some of the funds for this festival, and that's private.

The Asteroids Galaxy Tour was a treat to watch. We had our eyes glued to their vocalist Mette Lindberg. She was awesome. The melodic funky tunes they dished out really made us dance quite a bit. We didn't mind if there were other people because they were apparently dancing too. They were that good.

Over at the media tent we had popular hiphop artist Kid Ink. This is also Kid Ink's first time in the Philippines and they're excited to see what kind of crowd they'll be having. Fans should expect a lot of interaction and energy. They want the new situation (being in this festival) because they're used to performing in clubs and solo shows. Working with other bands is likely not a usual thing for them, so they want to experience how it is to be here and do just that.

Brit band NATIVES arrived a bit earlier, they've already started looking around and planning to stick around in the festival grounds today. The band just came in from a short trip to Boracay and was quite surprised that the culture and people were just amazing. Andy, Ashley, Greg, Jack and Jim all had Tapa for breakfast, experienced Jollibee's CHAMP which was tasty. They'll return the favor and play for the crowd today, that's a promise!

Will try and see if we can blog a little later when we get to meet the other artists performing at the 7107 International Music Festival.

Ciao! :)
