Kim Jones x ASUS : Incredible Catwalk

It looks so good on paper and we'll have to see if it's executed well. This synergy by fashionista Kim Jones and ASUS means they'll be creating seven stunning fashion images across seven countries in Southeast Asia in only seven days. They've already released the video on the ASUS Philippines page yesterday and it looks stunning.

They call this Incredible Catwalk and it's but an honor for a Filipina to be in this campaign with international technology brand ASUS. It'll be all shot on location and they say it's going to have a contemporary interpretation of each country’s national dress. All mean to be inspired by their own country's unique culture and heritage. The gorgeous Kim Jones has already worked with brands like Louis Vuitton so you can only expect this to be very editorial. Just think about it, she'll be in India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines all to be shot with the powerful yet stylish Zenfone 2. They're going ahead and confirm that the ZenFone 2 is this season’s most stylish tech accessory. Check out how she fared here!

I remember the ZenPad which I got as a companion to my coverages and trips, but have yet to experience the Zenfone 2 which I see some of my other blogger friends have. But judging by the layouts they made with it, the photos seem really good. Now imagine if you're using this for your own OOTD's and flatlays. That would be a story no? As for now, I can't tell. Though for the Zen Looks, it's nice!

Converse Sneakers Clash

This sight just brought me back to second year college while I was in the brink of insanity because of my AC/DC circuits subject. Though this one has very good load on it because CONVERSE just released their Spring 2014 collection. This is part of a worldwide release of an homage to the old Converse All Star '70 designed by Chuck Taylor. This is Sneakers Clash.

Included in this collection is the camouflage and zebra prints. It was first seen in the Converse All Star Chuck '70. They are bringing the nostalgia and put them into new styles now as seen above. This also contains a heavier, thicker canvas textile, a smaller toe box, reinforced stitched heels and strips, plus premium nickel metal parts, thicker and cushioned interiors.

They also introduced Michael Carandang as one of their endorsers. On this shot is the President and CEO of Filcon Manufacturing Corporation Ms. Margie Go. Carandang says Converse is like second nature to him and he can't remember not wearing them even in the US. Michael is the producer of shows like Jerry Springer, America's Next Top Model and the Tyra Banks Show. He's a full pledged Filipino and has decided to stay here now. I've seen him countless times in Philippine Fashion Week and shows from other brands but he looks happy here.

Neat Scrubs!

This year has been a blast! I love how it started and ended. I was blessed with so many friends and got to go out of the country with my folks too. I also got to see relatives that I haven't met for a long time! My cousins are all in the medical field. Most of them are nurses, physical therapists and medical technologists. I on the other hand ventured into a different one since I am a Computer Engineer by profession. I still see them wear nursing scrubs every now and then. I am not surprised because they need this for work. It's one of the most comfortable things to wear I'm sure and mind you they come in different designs and colors. Fashion wise, they are not that far behind. I haven't caught them wearing anything bland last year and this year it wouldn't be the same.



I wore something similar a few years ago because they gave me one. I used it in lieu of my pajamas and it was really neat that I could sleep with it. Imagine they were all using it as uniforms and I was feeling so comfortable I got to use it for sleep! I want to bring back the favor though so before they all become so busy during the New Year's Eve... they can wear something new. The scrub clothing would really look great on them. I didn't have time to buy them anything for Christmas presents so this would do. They are expecting a lot of people to flock the hospitals this New Year because of the culture of fireworks in this side of the world. No matter how dangerous it may seem they all still do it. I hope there would be less of them this year so my cousins wouldn't be too tired when they go back on the 1st for lunch.

Converse Sale

My friends and I will be going to the Marikina factory of Converse today because we heard it will be sale upto 70 percent off on all their shoes. I am gunning for a couple of pairs and am going to try and find those which would never be normally worn by anyone there. I'm thinking more of those plastic looking ones than the ordinary chucks. I will still buy some but probably one white and one designed one. My feet is obviously huge and I need to get one that properly fits. I want a new one since my old one got torn on the sides. I don't even know if I should get that fixed also. I think I just buried it with another pile of shoes at home.

I'm planning to give away some of them because they don't fit anymore. I hope it fits the feet of those whom I'm giving it to. Converse also has some of those rubber shoes looking ones that I don't actually like because they are mostly hiphop-dancer lines which I'm NOT! Obviously this particular basketball shoes in the 70's are turning out to be fashion items now. Some say it is not for fashion but hey if it looks cool and feels good on the feet I'm all for it!

Opportunities come and go and I have learned a lot about that fact these past few months. I witnessed something new for my self, my site and there are things that the wonderful people from Medicol Advance gave me that I will never forget. Let me take you for a spin on my final fitting with the fabulous fashion designer Avel Bacudio.

Sir Avel served us caviar and blue cheese... I actually love blue cheese but as they also said it was not a thing to eat while we were in a conversation LOL he even joked about it that it smelled like you know what! Haha! =)

We were also treated to a few short stories from his trips outside of the country, but that one is private too LOL

You probably have read my first encounter with the kind designer here and it was very nice for the people from Medicol Advance to hook me up on this day so I get to see his pad. Since I live just a stone's throw away from his condo unit, I met with Ms. Lenni Balicud and Mr. Jonnifer Santos (Starcom and Hwangs inc.) in Panay Avenue and proceeded to his place after wards. Of course I took pictures!

Avel showed us around his posh place. I noticed a few key pieces that he also is fond of. I like the geometric shapes he puts into thought when he designs. Yes ladies and gentlemen, he is also a budding interior designer.

It was a whirlwind of events that happened in a few months, and this post was created to thank these people who made these great things possible! It was an awesome learning experience to attend the Medicol Advance the Nation Launch, I got a lot from their great speakers. I love the fact that I won an outfit too just because I wrote about it on my site. Thank you also to Ms. Kai Palileo also for coordinating the things needed to make this happen.

Now Sir Avel, Nuffnang Philippines and Medicol Advance got this awesome outfit for me. Now ain't that a sight for sore eyes! =)

This experience has taught me a lot about kindness, seizing opportunities and the value of having fun with life. Thank you Medicol Advance! It would never have been possible without you guys! So my dear readers from the US, The Philippines and elsewhere in the world, if you have headaches and pain you don't know how to handle; trust only Medicol Advance and they'll give you more than a cure... it's an experience you won't forget in a lifetime! I mean hey! I even popped a few when I got into the office because I had headaches from the lack of sleep and short rains in the afternoon; and that took care of it! Make sure you get one from your nearby drugstore and you probably would get the chance to win the things I have... you can never tell! =)
