TCL Celebrates 25 Years: Renews Box Office Queen KATHRYN BERNARDO

Leading electronics and consumer brand TCL just recently renewed ties with the Box Office Queen and Asia's Superstar Kathryn Bernardo. The event was witnessed and participated by TCL Executives  Shae Xiaoling Yu (the Deputy Marketing Director), Joseph Cernitchez TCL Philippines Brand Manager, and representatives of Kath Ms. Lulu Romero and Francis Kalayaan Vidanes of Vidanes Celebrity Marketing.

Mr. Cernitchez noted how strong their partnership has been with Kathryn and they continued this to remain connected with their consumers, in hopes to inspire greatness even more. Kath was thankful about how TCL has continued to make their products and innovations remain accessible, especially in Filipino homes. Til today, Kathryn loves her TCL QLED Pro TV. She often uses it to watch shows and stream content, something like a refuge despite her busy schedule. She also loves how they make an effort to be part of everyday living, and be part of Filipino homes. She's very excited in what they plan to execute in 2025 as she remains as the face for TCL in the country. You'll see her in TV's, refrigerators, washer and dryers, and other home appliances. It's also smart, and the brand thinks of the Filipino consumer all the time. She's certainly an example on how to "Inspire Greatness".

2024's Most Beautiful Face ANDREA BRILLANTES

Seeing her up close would have made the case of being number 1 in the Most Beautiful Face of the Year a no contest. It's the annual voting list run by TC Candler, a creator based in LA. There have been 7 Filipinas in that list this year but the Top 1 post went to ANDREA BRILLANTES, one of Star Magic's brightest stars.

She's also been given the SPOTLIGHT by the artist agency last week and we got to talk to her a bit about getting the recognition and asked a few more things about what she plans to do this 2025. She's had a pretty lucky 2024, and for sure, ABS-CBN has huge plans for her especially after getting in this really popular list.

We talked to Andrea at the SPOTLIGHT set by Star Magic. They really prepared a lot for this event and interview (mainly to recognize their accomplishments of course!).

Andrea says "I was quite surprised about the video, I didn't know you were going to do that. I tied my hair today because of that list. Last year I was also there but I didn't get the top spot, but this year when I learned about it, I said hala, I'm top 1? I asked my Mom immediately and told her she's got a daughter that made the top spot. But really, I'm so thankful. It's the bragging rights that I could tell my friends now, really happy about it but I couldn't have that in my head, I couldn't wrap my head around it."

She adds "Right now I'm enjoying my free time because I don't have a show, but I've got a ton of things to do especially with business. I set my priorities, but try to also enjoy my youth. I also help with my community, my church, and try to learn a new sport like frisbee. I try to be intentional with my time, try to find some for everything. It's quite precious for me because I have to have energy for it everyday. I try to travel, my schedule is crazy, but want to have a work life balance. I want to manage my time because you can't disappear when you're in this business. I think it's important to have sleep, above anything, no matter how beautiful you are. Now I'm adding veggies to my diet, try to take care of that and what I eat. I also invest in skincare, do makeup, I've been doing it since I was 16 and I think I've got a pretty good grasp of it. If I'm tired, I just do my routine. I try to fit it in one hour or 30 minutes just to take care of myself." 

"You don't just have to be pretty outside, I try my best to be good, my attitude. I think making your heart pretty is better."

With all the things she's been through, she knows herself even more. She plans to do more shows, programs, movies, even other things outside showbiz. It's her experience that makes her an even better person, and we saw that during the SPOTLIGHT event with her.

Queen of Feng Shui Marites Allen Enters Metaverse, Launches New Book on Year of Water Rabbit

It's been a while since we've seen Ms. Marites Allen in person. She's been to the UK and different parts of the globe to share her knowledge in Feng Shui and this time, she's doing quite differently. Donned in a Rabbit Cape ensemble  made by Dexter Alazas (inspired by Marites Allen's Golden Zodiac), she shared how we all could take advantage of the Year of the Water Rabbit this 2023.

 

What's up with the coming Year of the Water Rabbit this 2023? 

Ms. Marites Allen chimes in on what you could look forward to if you're an avid fan of Feng Shui. 2020 was a year of new beginnings. 2021 was the year of vaccinations, 2022 was a year of breakups while this year is about "Letting Go!" The center is love star, so if you want to let go, this is the opportune time for that.

Feng Shui Enters Metaverse

If you avidly follow what she's doing every year, you know there's bound to be something new up her sleeves. She has officially been the first to officially do this in the country. She's on her infancy in entering the Metaverse. BPO Queen Finals Tonight

 Had the chance to cover the BPO QUEEN preliminaries a couple of days ago. Today will be the finals which will be held at the Mall of Asia Arena 6PM and guest performers have names like Jake Zyrus, Joross Gamboa, Edgar Allan Guzman, Mark Bautista (who will also be the host) and international sensation Jessica Sanchez. I've also heard Morisette will be there but that has yet to be confirmed (maybe it's a surprise). 

The pre pageant basically will showcase these Queens in their Future wear, Evening Gowns and Swimsuits but I'll be only featuring the previous two because we have kids also reading my articles LOL. Anyway, it's going to be a big spectacle later and I hope my bets also are going to be able to win some awards, or perhaps the crown. The BPO Queen by the way is the nationwide beauty search for gays and transexuals in the BPO industry, so if you are working in one, chances are, you have a representative in this particular pageant. Jaya Almost Quit: Now Stages A Concert

I have had the pleasrue of seeing JAYA during the hey days and just like wine, I feel she's getting even better. After winning Metropop, countless number one singles, tons of albums, she's back in the concert scene through the Aqueous Entertainment's JAYA: NO BOUNDARIES Concert slated this Friday May 12, 2017. Isn't that good news?

The Queen of Soul is not letting out without new material beacuse as she mentioned "I don't want to be tagged in just one music genre whether it's classical or musical, I don't mind! You can expect stunning performances from my guests too." The concert's title was actually coined by Cornerstone's Jeff Vadillo and Jaya herself to mark her comeback to the concert scene. "I have a lot of things that I want to share and for that evening, that is the goal. The exciting part is that I'm singing again. I'm happy to be back doing concerts and being on stage, I've been in different parts of the world too because of my friends from cornerstone. I feel honored being in the midst of talented singers too. I didn't realize it is near mothers day but it was just time, I even watched my Mom's videos last night and when my daughter even realized how great she was even now, she'll live forever and she's going to be part of the show. There's just going to be something for all of them. At first I didn't feel like prepared as I'm starting again, but the venue felt just right, I would feel crazy if this is in MOA or Araneta. I still have a dream, perhaps a concert with Regine and Lani, hopefully soon as I never had that opportunity so I'm dreaming about that (never hurts to dream right?). I prayed about this and almost thought of quietly leaving for the US during those 3 years because I had to make a living for my family, I asked the Lord to lead me when I was about to give up and when and event happened, Cornerstone came in the dressing room, and that was my turning point. That was it and now I'm doing a concert, even in other countries, plus It's Showtime on ABSCBN. I suggest those who are just starting, to perhaps when you're up there, don't rely on superficial ajilation. You also have to learn to ignore and let those people be blocked and deleted because all they want are attention. You don't have to give them the pleasure. 

Now the genre is getting wider, broader and even the men are singing different music. There is still so much more out there. My Mom is probably jumping for joy now because she's seeing change happen to me right now. On the concert you'll be seeing a lot of surprise numbers, me and the guests, you'll surely enjoy it!" she added.

This fresh new start seems to be the path she's taking and rightfully so, she deserves all the success she's getting. She's a fellow Trinitian (I'm a different batch) and I hope she does well in all her endeavors. She asked for the signs to stay, I guess she's going to get it all from God, loud and clear. Congratulations Ms. Jaya!

Meeting Beauty Queens: Bb. Pilipinas 1st and 2nd Runner Up Angelica Alita and Jehza Mae Huelar

It's almost pageant season again and we were lucky enough to actually interview the Philippines' finest ladies at the Araneta Center. After the Binibining Pilipinas (Ms. Philippines) event, we got hold of the actual winners of the competition so we could get to know them a little better.

I thought beauty queens were divas so I wasn't expecting much, but I was surprised how confident but humble they were during our small talk. I am so glad I was able to take a few photos of them during the blogcon. These two in particular, Bb. Pilipinas 1st Runner Up Angelica Alita and 2nd Runner Up Jehza Mae Huelar were a sight to behold. Although they won't be joining official titled beauty pageants, they've been extremely supportive of the other beauty queens and still fulfilled their duties as they also placed in the competition. Among all those girls, they're some of the best, so it's already a feat if you ask me. In our eyes, they're keeping themselves in shape and in perfect form because if ever one of our queens don't feel good or gets in trouble, we have them to represent our country. Mind you, this is very important in our country, because just like Pacquiao, everything stops when they go on stage. Here are some shots during our small interview!

I like the part where they still are pushing for their personal causes aside from those that are current. It means that the heed to help is innate, they really want to help in their own way. They also want to inspire future beauty queens and influence people to help them be better people.

Erik Santos and Angeline Quinto at the Araneta Coliseum

Sitting like Kings and Queens during the press conference of their long awaited concert entitled "Erik Santos and Angeline Quinto at the Araneta Coliseum", we were so delighted to hear the King and Queen of Theme Songs dish out their personal duet version of "This I Promise You" which was originally sung by NSync. According to Erik, the song epitomizes their relationship right now and if ever they had a proper theme song of their own, this would be it. Apart from their relationship, you're going to see a different set of songs to be sung in the concert that are personally picked by Erik and Angeline since the events conception, as they've talked about it during the past few years they've worked together. What's exciting is, they're utter yearning to do all of the songs they've dreamed of and doing it all in one event, in one place. I could see their eyes beaming of excitement when they mentioned some of them during that time and just imagine when they do these songs with extreme gusto because it'll be their rules, their show.

When asked about the lip sync issue, they both agreed that it would be great if singers of top caliber were given more breaks than the usual although they don't discount the more popular ones just like anybody else can do their own music and if that's what the public wants, that's what they'll get. Erik says practicality wise, Producers would want something good that will also earn so they can get their money back or earn off from it, that's what they do. Erik definitely has a point in that department. They also mentioned Ms. Lea Salonga's case where she did do it in an international awards ceremony when she couldn't do it live and had to still be there under those circumstances. 

They obviously look good together and when I asked about why they're not calling it official, Erik told us that what they have is already pretty special. They're always there for each other and they know what their relationship is right now but they don't want to put labels on it. They are taking their time and want to still be with each other without any pressure from anybody else or perhaps if they are together, they don't want other people to tear them apart in public. Erik says "If we'll be together, we would be glad for everyone to know but for now, she's special for me and I know that I am for her, that's a promise we'd keep for each other." Angeline on the other hand says "Erik is the guy who's going to be there for me when I need him. He's the one who I go to when I need help and even though I don't ask for it, he does it like he knows I need it."

Their concert "Erik Santos and Angeline Quinto at the Araneta Coliseum" will happen on August 15, 2015 at 8PM. Special guests will be Martin Nievera, Ms. Regine Velasquez. Daniel Padilla Most Wanted Concert

If you haven't heard it yet, the teen king Daniel Padilla will be doing a concert called Daniel Padilla Most Wanted this June 13, 2015. The good looking guy will be singing a couple of songs mostly old ones as he has admitted to be an old soul. The songs he'll be performing is where he's mostly comfortable and as I posted in Instagram (Follow @kumagcow there please and on Twitter and Periscope!) he hasn't really had time to rehearse. He was able to rest these past few days and take the long way of choosing the songs, singing it a few times even if he lacked sleep because he's still taping episodes for his soap "Pangako Sa'yo" (I Promise You) which has gone worldwide in the past. They're probably also doing the same in this franchise because as it seems, the following the teen queen and king has is just phenomenal.

Mom Carla Estrada aka The Queen Mother has been very supportive of his son and Daniel confirms that she might actually be part of the show. As for Kathryn appearing, he knows that she's got a lot of work still on the same show and he doesn't know yet if it's going to be a surprise kind of thing... he hopes though that she'll get to be there so that fans would be happy. The show Most Wanted just makes this a mark of his career, he's already filled the Smart Araneta Coliseum in the past and this repeat in Mall of Asia Arena he says will be more personal. As of now, he said that the only tickets available will be SRO meaning mostly all the tickets got sold out when it was available online.

He's just human and when asked if he's nervous, he said he's worried because the lack of rehearsal time might actually be something to worry about. Though he's very optimistic that they're going to finish this on time and because it's showing tomorrow, he hopes he doesn't disappoint especially those who have supported him all these years. This time, it's more personal, this time it's more of him and he hopes that in some way, even if the teens of this time wouldn't be able to know most of the songs he's singing, they would be able to relate to it just like he does because that's what Daniel Padilla loves.

This is the most awaited concert of the year and the proof of the putting is it's outstanding box office success so far. I hope teens and their friends would be able to watch this concert in Mall of Asia tomorrow. You'll be missing a lot if you don't watch the teen king perform once again on stage. Who knows, Kathryn might show up and you won't be there!  

Congratulations Daniel! Break a leg tomorrow!
