Your Mission: Accomplish #PayMayaPayDaySave Steps and Get Php 1,500

Wednesday, November 10, 2021

Money doesn't really grow on trees these days and as soon as you see an opportunity to earn some, why not do it right? Well our friends from PayMaya are in a giving mood now, so they're giving you a chance to get Php 1,500 worth of cashback by just following a few things. See if it fits you!

This November 8-17, you must complete these steps to earn it. First, pay for your Meralco bill via the Bills Payment optins on your Paymaya app. You can get Php 500 worth of savings if it's the first time you are paying for it in the app.Second, just simply Cash In on your Lazada Wallet. If you use your PayMaya to cash in at least 2K bucks, you'll get 10% cashback (til Php 500). Step 3, you can get Php 500 if you purchase Php 300 on the PayMaya Shop, Send 1K worth up to three other PayMaya users, then Cash In at least 2K on your Lazada wallet. You can do all these on PayMaya. There's a dedicated mission button on your PayMaya app that indicates if you've done the deed. It'll be fun and you can earn the cashbacks afterwards, who wouldn't love that right?

Make sure you follow the directions to a T so you can earn that much. It's no rocket science, getting one or two done would be nice too.

Save up to Php 1500 with #PayMayaPayDaySave

Monday, October 11, 2021

Every payday, we deserve the little things we do with our salaries. Whether it's a good meal out in a restaurant (where dine in is allowed), a day in a relaxing spa and massage (with protocols followed), or even a good game we buy for our consoles. We worked hard, play hard, and have to make sure though that what we have, goes to good things... and perhaps save a buck or two.

During this pandemic, digital payments have saved us a lot of trouble so that we won't even have to go to banks to transact business. Well, they even went further and just released a couple of tips to make you save as much as Php 1,500 when using the leading financial app PayMaya.

During this pandemic, digital payments have saved us a lot of trouble so that we won't even have to go to banks to transact business. Well, they even went further and just released a couple of tips to make you save as much as Php 1,500 when using the leading financial app PayMaya.

If you pay for your electric bills regularly and have to go to the actual Meralco office and lineup for hours, why not do it on the PayMaya app and just add Meralco to your favorites. Paying for it there would get you up to 33% in savings because they'll give you a cash back which you can use for other things like online shopping (which is an essential stress reliever these days LOL). You can also pay for other merchants featured in the app and save up to Php 150. Purchasing in supermarkets and retail stores on the other hand would get you to save up to Php 200, even more cashback if you are a first time user... that's how generous PayMaya is!

If you haven't had Spotify yet, this is an opportune time to do so because you can get up to 100% cashback off your first month if you register and pay for it with your PayMaya number. There are tons of artists you love and music that you'll enjoy if you subscribe. It's my best friend when writing. Anyway, go download the PayMaya app on the Google Play or the App Store. Follow the guide and you'll have more money for shopping LOL!

How To Get 100 Pesos Off Your PLDT Bill

Friday, May 22, 2020

I don't know about you guys but I'm feeling a little down because of the big bills coming and I'm part of the statistic of now work, no pay. Well, I got a tip from a notification of my PayMaya app the other day saying I could save 100 pesos off of my PLDT bill and tried if it works.

I paid the usual bill which costs a little over 1k, which is the amount they say you should pay on the app so you can get the Php 100 Balik Bayad according to the promo.

After paying, I got a text message confirming my payment then another one saying I received a voucher for the 100 peso to be returned to me.

I just went to the app (it must be updated to see the VOUCHER option) then claimed it. After a few seconds I already got the notification that I got it back. After seeing that offer, there were two more on the app indicating Php50 OFF if I pay for my Smart Postpaid and Sun bill. How can you not see the tons of savings just by paying through PayMaya?! Heck I got my money back hassle free, you've gotta try doing that now especially when times are hard.

Don't say I didn't tell you!

It’s Cheaper with Shopee!

Monday, August 13, 2018

You know when you’re not supposed to shop but you see something on sale and you couldn’t stop yourself from purchasing it online? That’s exactly me when I go to Shopee, but really I don’t just do it on the spot because I take a lot of time to research prices on the app itself and other apps, but always if not always end up getting the one from Shopee because of their mantra, of lowest price guaranteed in the market. I should know, I did see that when I bought something today.

I don’t spend a lot of time on an ironing board, so I wanted get this Tobi Travel steamer which I compared at Shopee and Lazada. One costs 299, the other 659. So who wants to get fooled for almost 360 bucks?

Black Skinny Jeans which are part of my outfit these days cost a measely 259, whilst the other costs 800 even if they had the same look. This is fast fashion people, why would I pay extra 500 for that?

Then I go visit Shopee’s latest section the Shopee Gadget Zone. I took the liberty comparing the two TV sets with the same model number, one is sold for 4,999, the other 6,499. Again, why would I pay almost 1,500 pesos for the same television set right? If you’re skeptic check out the Gadget Zone here (https://shopee.ph/m/gadgetzone) or visit shopee.ph and click the banner on top which says Gadget Zone on it, you’re smart enough I’m sure!

It doesn’t take a genius to know how much you could save with the Shopee app. I’ve been doing this for years and if you’re raring to get a few hundred or thousands of pesos in savings, go download Shopee on the App Store or Google Play.

To get you started, here’s a code if you are new to the app! Thank me later!

It’s definitely cheaper in Shopee.

Watsons Wants You To Switch and Save!

Thursday, March 16, 2017

We spent the evening playing Switch & Save Switchers Feud with Watsons Generics celebrity endorsers Edu Manzano, Lorna Tolentino, Iya Villania, Kylie Padilla, Tessa Prieto and Christian Bautista. The game wasn't the usual as the questions only concentrated on their products, the benefits, and how consumers buy them.

From Vitamins, lotions, shampoos, I didn't know people look for a lot of things  before actually buying them.

Ms. Viki Encarnaciom of Watsons says "We had so much fun but there's so much to love in every Watsons store because it's a place to save, as you don't have to spend that much for personal care from our stores. We hope you see in our new commercials which will be out now on public TV why you should Switch and Save by going with quality products at Watsons, up to 80% less than the brands out in the market. Save more for the things that matters in your life. Switch to Watsons and save!"

You know where to go!

Chef Rosebud and Cheska Kramer Shares Tips On How To Save

Saturday, September 13, 2014

I wrote about Electrolux a couple weeks ago about how to save electricity while washing clothes as part of the Electrolux Save & Share Blog Series. It's a campaign vent to have wives and people at home to save money and precious time by making household chores simple and carefree. We also got to interview their advocates Chef Rosebud Benitez and Cheska Garcia Kramer to help us and share their thoughts on saving.

You see, my Sister always had a hard time paying for electricity bills at home. The love we have for her always tells us to help her when she needs it. Our water bill looks a wee bit high too than the usual amount we pay for these past few months. This just means we have to take arrangements in using electricity and water at home. We asked how Chef Rosebud Benitez and Cheska Garcia Kramer about how they do it in their homes and this is what they've got to say.

We often use appliances at home,  sometimes we have a choice and sometimes we don't. How do we save on electricity? How do we save on water? How do we make sure that our utility bills won't spike up?

Chef Rosebud says "We've recently changed all our lights to LED to save on electricity and we make sure that we remove the plug of all appliances not in use. We also just had barrels installed that act as a rain saver to cut down on our water bill."

Cheska on the other hand says "I have a baby and my kids and they always use air conditioning. I’m not so strict with that. Although at night, I really do my rounds. I make sure all the lights are off, all the faucets are closed properly, there are no leaks, at the same time I do the washing of the clothes and ironing of the clothes on schedule. With that, we are able to monitor our electricity and water bill. I’m not the type of Mom that save utilities if it's for my kids. If they need air conditioning, I allow them to.Doug is the one who chooses our appliances but he always consults with me. In our family, we really practice him to be the head of the family. Big decision making and stuff like that, Doug is the one who does the research and at the same time, he will consult me. He’ll tell me “Hey honey, this is what we need to buy” then we’ll think about it.

Although he makes the big decisions, he also relies on my opinion. So when it comes to buying appliances, we always try to look for one that has the energy saving factor. So from our aircons to our refrigerator, because the refrigerator consumes more electricity right? - it has to be an energy saver. This goes the same for our washing machine. So we do really save a lot with our appliances because we consider that before purchasing anything."

It can be a challenging task to save when you have so many things to spend for at home. Why do you think is it important to save? Can you share tips on how people can do this?

For Chef Rosebud, it's quite easy. She says "It's very important to start saving for the rainy days. First thing one needs to do is to list down one's income and expenses, the essentials and non-essentials. Once you are clear about all the essential payments to be made, the next step you need to take is to manage all your expenses in an effective manner."

Cheska advises couples and says "Well for one, we cannot tell what the future holds, right. So that’s why my husband and I, we are really a team. We make decisions together and both our opinions matter so when it comes to saving, we are realistic also with our expenses. We are honest enough to say the exact time for us to buy, or it’s not time for us to be spending. So what we do is we make sure that, of course we have our monthly expenses and then we also set aside for our investment. So when we have enough money, we have the business. We put in in that business of ours and make sure that we are also able to save there to make our business grow. So the money for our business is only for our business. So whatever money that business makes, it only goes back to the business so that it will grow. We also invest in insurances for our children, for their education and health and that also goes for Doug and I. We also get our insurances, we also spoke to a financial planner and through our financial planner, they were able to see what we can set aside from our money so that we can be able to invest in our future and in our children’s future. So hand in hand, Doug and I talk about how else can we save, how else can we make sure that our children’s future is secured. We want Kendra, Scarlet, and Gavin’s future to be secured. So we’re very realistic with our spending. We’re very open to telling each other when time to spend and when it’s not. So that’s when our budget comes in. ‘Coz basically when you’re a married couple, you already know what your budget is. Like in one month, let’s say you probably need a sure amount of P20,000. On top of that, you have to know when to divide it, if it goes to our business or to our investment.

Both have to be realistic and both have to be open or honest to each other when it’s time to spend and not."

I think I can relate much more with Cheska because my Sister doesn't have savings or thought about investments. I think she lacks control over spending and doesn't even prioritize an exact amount when the time comes that they'd have to pay for utilities. She also decides with the people she loves and makes it a point to have specific budgets run on a monthly basis and still have more just for financial stability and freedom. Not to undermine Chef Rosebuds way, she gave us really cool ideas especially on itemizing and listing down expenses versus what we earn because that is as important as any other plan if we want to succeed and save on little things like utility. Those little things over time actually can be a big amount. It goes to show that it is achievable and possible to do it in a Philippine setting. I guess the next thing to do is talk to a financial planner and see how my Sister would be able to save and invest her hard earned money.

Wash Clothes and Save More with Electrolux Appliances

Tuesday, September 02, 2014

It's one of the not so liked chores that I would want to do. Washing clothes can be really tough for me especially when we all started with hand washing. These days, men can only think of one thing to buy their wives something to make things easier and sure enough, like in any home we just want a tough washing machine that can do the job. That's where Electrolux in the Philippines comes in. They used to go house to house with their men but today, you can easily find them in malls and stores when you need them, where you need them.

They now make heavy duty washing machines that does everything automatic. Something smart enough that these washer and dryers have their own Load Sensor which lets you know the amount of detergent and water to use when you put it in. It's well designed button system also lets you know what particular time to use for certain fabrics and what temperature to use as well. It also uses Vapour Action in one of its settings to get the ironing job later on easy. It shouldn't be hard for anyone to use without even looking at the manual. The Electrolux Stainwand top load type of washing machine on the other hand uses a retractable ultrasonic wand and T-Drive technology to easily get rid of those hard to remove stains each time you spin the clothes and make an effort when it's time to wash them. It smells fresh and you save energy by using the hardware efficiently with the only needed water and detergent no matter how big or small your load is. After all, smart people use smart appliances right?

Make sure you do the deed when choosing your companion in the hardest chores in your home. The last thing you would want to have is a laughable white elephant in your home that's not much use for the rest of your family. Take a moment and see what Electrolux can see in your home and it might be the greatest decision you'll have for a long time. That's the greatness that only Electrolux fabric care appliances. You know how it works, test it out on stores and see the difference, capisce?!

Seeing the Light

Thursday, January 13, 2011

Electricity rates have gone up again and to tell you honestly I don't know why our country has one of the most expensive kilo watts per hour price in the world. Maybe we might be running out of our natural resources but I think it is ample enough to survive a few years. I am worried about the future of our family though and the children after us because people have been so lax in taking care of nature. If we do not start now by doing simple things like achat ampoule that are economical and energy efficient we might need to start and think about how we live in this world.

The technical advances in lighting technology should already solve part of the problems we face today. I've seen LED and fluorescent bulbs spend so little energy while still mimicking natural light so if we swap whatever we have at home a couple of hundred kilo watt hours would be saved. It could be any electrical appliance and we just need to make smarter choices this time. It starts with an ampoule but you can use a lot of energy saving devices like those large items at your own home. Going green has never been easy but if you integrate it to your lifestyle it would be a lot better in the long run. We'll live longer and have our family enjoy a lot of the things that we still have now. Remember, it starts with ampoule led but you can save a whole civilization if you start today. Great things come from small beginnings right?!

Save the Date!

Tuesday, September 21, 2010

My friends are getting married. April and Louie had been an integral part of my friends from the NOCTURNALS photography group. What amazes me is that I sort of got the chance to see how their relationship blossomed into what it is today. I always thought they were perfect for each other; and I know nothing but the nicest things about these two. I'm not surprised they ended up with each other to tell you the least. Louie the playful, cute guy that he is (I didn't get paid to say that!); geeky looking yet smart is very easy to talk and be with. April who never fails to smile and kid around with everyone (even at the lowest times) always lights up the room when she's around. These are traits that made them stick together and I'm sure it'll last. They have been doing a lot of photos lately in preparation for their save the date postcard and I know there will be lots of them available on the Internet. It would be easier to make once all the details are finalized. They however already have the dates set for next year. We're all excited for them!

Love is such a pretty sight to see. It makes me wish I had a story of my own to tell. I won't be blaming anyone for my own fate this time. I'm really glad to have got to know these two. They kind of give you hope and that nostalgia you experience when someone loves you. It makes you optimistic; to see life in a different way. I wish Louie and April the best that life can offer. After all, they deserve each other. I'm so happy for them... and so are my peers from photography. You'll be really good parents too I'm sure!

Wish you all the best! Nothing more!
