NICO BOLZICO Releases "Bullied Husbands Club - The Manual" on Lazada

 One of the most good looking guys on the internet Nico Bolzico aka the "The Bullied Husband" of Solenn Heussaff just released his own book called "Bullied Husbands Club - The Manual" in popular online shopping platform Lazada. 

His humor is different. Either with culture or upbringing, one could tell how it would always be fun in the Bolzico household as he narrates small anecdotes in this printed work. Marrying one of the most beautiful women in show business must have come with a lot of things, and one of them is dealing with an equally crazy life with a "Wifezilla". Nico's book details a few procedures how to deal with the everyday battles. One must not forget where one stands in the relationship, that men are only slaves and don't have anything to say other than YES on a normal day (I kid). He also goes the mile and gives good advice on small things so you don't have to suffer the consequences.

I read it in a span of 2 days, and I thought I wouldn't get his humor, but I did. Got my copy signed in a Lazada event a few weeks ago. I must say, the fine man is quite nice to talk to.

 To tell you honestly, I liked every bit of it. It's sort of a preparation if you're in the process of getting married. It's not all clownery, because at the heart of these conversations in his head is his way of telling you how it is done, how one should respect women in general. It's not just giving her what she wants, but thinking about what she needs and her freedom. Being married doesn't mean you would need to just stay at home and take care of kids (and dogs), women in this era can do so many things and being a husband means you need to support her among other things. You'll learn that and more in Nico's book. Although delivered humorously, it makes a lot of sense.

Dante Basco for THE FABULOUS FILIPINO BROTHERS

It's a movie about family, like in the Philippines, we see people do fiestas like crazy. Even without enough money, we see em borrow money just so we could see a full table and afford to feed guests in the hopes they wouldn't be headlines of chismosas telling other people you were a horrible host the next day. Same goes for weddings, which the Fabulous Filipino Brothers Dayo, David, Duke and Danny Boy's story start. Solenn Heussaff looked gorgeous on this film, she plays a lawyer, a lost love that Duke finally found and reconnected with. Cameos from Tirso Cruz III, and appearances personifying lovers and crazy fights will be included so make sure to pay attention to the script. You will also see spaghetti, lumpia, turon, kutsinta and siopao in different ways. In a nutshell, this is movie is problematic on so many levels, cute at times, funny, endearing, romantic, Filipino with lots of heart.

This is the directorial debut of Dante Basco and he says "You know it's perfect to do this with my brothers and sister. It became a family affair, although fictional, there's homage to the past. We started as actors and I've seen them their whole careers, every small role they played, I've been there as a brother and as a fan. To direct them in this movie, it has led us to make this movie. Worldwide, we're in a pioneering time in Asian media. We're in the height of our profile here in Hollywood and people are looking for Asian stories. There's so much great story telling that is going on, we're part of that. It's something we hoped that would happen, I don't know, it's a whole nother thing. Solenn is beautiful, charming, between action and cut, you just had to look at her and talk. We got to know each other a bit, to fall in love with her was not hard to do. It's one of the perks of the job, she's incredibly professional. She was definitely the first pick, we discussed a few options, but she was on top of the list. It's very important that Filipinos watch this film, I made it for us for a reason. There's so many years in my career that I played scenes, as an actor I am blessed with rich culture, be a chameleon, be connected, I'm Filipino and proud of it, it's time to represent as Filipinos and not as different cultures, it's personal to me, to my family, my community, places where I'm from. I hope everyone else can see themselves in us, that's what I hope. I wanna bring some more of the Philippines actors and come here, there's so many great ones I wanna work with in the Philippines."

Ms. Isabel Santillan of Cignal Entertainment says "We're open for pitches from our Kababayan abroad. They don't have to fly here, we have a lot of need in content and they can do it virtually."

Jeff Remigio FVP of TV5 International says "The movie depicts the nature of Filipinos, the best traits, character, we're fun loving, we're resilient and courageous. It's very important for all of us, it shows our struggles, we reflect, we're doing okay as far as Asian community is concerned. There's a lot of stories in our past lives, we've done happy and failed marriages, plight of OFW's, hardships of the Filipino, but there's still so many stories to tell, we're writing much of it everyday. We're going to look at our story, break barriers like what Korea did it. For now, we want people to watch it on Cignal Pay Per View, for now we want to concentrate on that."

DAVID BECKHAM Leads AIA Ambassador Programme

Looks like the man with the golden food David Beckham is making his mark in Asia as he puts his efforts with AIA to help more people to live healthier, longer, better lives. Tea Time with the Bolzicos

Nice afternoon, good time to talk to Nico Bolzico and Solenn Heussaff over hot tea as they discuss being healthy and protecting the family. They are first time parents, but it was nice to see they are human, they have fears too just like you and me.

They also talked to the President of AIA Kelvin Ang as he shared his experience about difficulties having no insurance. He also took time to share what happened when his dad passed and he had to grow up a wee bit early as the eldest in the family. He took this experience and made it into passion to help others to have needed protection.

Then came Slater Young and Kryz Uy (all the way from Cebu) who shared their experience raising their daughter. Nico Bolzico shared how they should not accept suitors this early and Solenn told them about protection and how to plan ahead. AIA PhilAm Life head of products Tennyson Paras says “Before, they used to talk about insurance for old people, but no matter how prepared we are we can’t expect those emergencies even if they are young. A few years back, I got a call from my wife telling me my baby was rushed to the hospital as she was having convulsions because of high fever. Broke my heart, I wished it was me there because she was so young. When she was stable, they still had to observe her, I also in the back of my mind knew how expensive it was. I knew my company had good medical plans, but how about other people who don’t have that? How can they prepare? Both the Bolzicos and Youngs didn’t have that plan either. We would prioritize school, future, but not now, not emergencies. It is a gap as not all companies have medical or life plans for children. We recently launched AIA Med Assist which is now available for age 0 to 17.  Our goal is to make sure parents would have peace of mind when this happens. Filipino families know the expense of having this especially in the Philippines. We need to make sure they are protected in accidents, sickness, because these kids move around now. It’s good to be protected.”

We need to make sure we are prepared and not get caught in situations beyond our control. Camp Livebetter with Solenn, Nico and Raymond Premieres Tomorrow

We had so much fun during the advanced screening of Camp Livebetter, the reality web series of Philam Vitality over at their Youtube channel. You might have seen one or all of these episodes while watching Youtube and they are showing the final episode tomorrow at 2PM.

Before the activities, we were treated to good organic food at Green Pastures. It was ultra healthy but filling, I didn’t get to eat much because they had seafood but twas okay! Anyway it’s part of the journey of these guys and gals were taking because in order to have a good life, we all need to have better lifestyle choices and invest in ourselves. Health, activities, even financial and life planning is essential nowadays and should be part of adulting. Here’s how our plates look like! :)

Watch Out for All Star Videoke on GMA!

It looks like GMA is making their Sunday afternoon even MORE fun by bringing in their hit show ALL STAR VIDEOKE back to TV which was once hosted by Allan K and Jaya. This time they're bringing in a very HUGE fancy stage, plus two new hosts to become song masters and start off the show. 

Betong Sumaya says "I always wanted to have a show aside from Survivor, I said it during those years and I've already had a movie with her. Now it's going to be us two, hosting our own show and she's not holding back in comedy here. She's sophisticated, but here she's letting all her hair down. You wouldn't believe what she can do in every taping I've had with her. The celebrity contestants will be seen without edits, you'll see who can sing or not in real life, some are really good, some doing it in second voice LOL. All Kapuso celebrities had fun in the show so I hope you watch the show this September 3 as we begin All Star Videoke! The previous one had a 7 year run and when I met him during Rochelle's wedding he game me his blessings, also Ms Jaya on Instagram. We are so proud to be part of this. I was a player back then but it wasn't like this, the stage is so high and they will fall. It's a little scary. We are also going to sing here so we'll try to see if out efforts are enough on the pilot show. You should also watch out for the second, third and fourth show. We'll try that fall on our next taping, but when we saw it during the first episode we already backed out LOL."

In the first episode, you'll see Kapuso stars Barbie Forteza, Jak Roberto, Ken Chan, Mikael Daez, Megan Young (who's inviting you to watch Miss World later on SNBO) and Kim Domingo. 

They choose a category, sing along, and every correct lyric will have an equivalent prize. Celebrity judges will choose who will get dropped off based on those who got more lyrics correct. For the first show, it will be Alden Richards and Jerald Napoles (as ALL STAR LAGLAGERS) on chair so they have to make sure they guess the lyrics right! For the two last contestants, they need to do the PUSH AND SING round where they will need to continue singing a song they chose and win a point if it's correct. 

Winners of this week will be challenging the next batch of celebrities and if they do it 4 times in a row, they will win a BRAND NEW CAR! Okay how do I join? LOL
