Obama Cares about Veterans

The processing of claims for Filipino veterans are being fast tracked by the US government and are being given priority so things like benefits would be given what's due them. US Ambassador to the Philippines Kristie Kenney promised this after US President Barack Obama signed the awaited 'economic stimulus package' where the Veterans Equity Bill is also included. Kenney assured transparency in these claims so only legitimate Philippine veterans would only be given their compensation.

She was also saddened that there are a lot of World War II Veterans that already died and never got the opportunity to receive their benefits. She added that she knows how this feels for their loved ones because her father was also part of the army who passed away four years ago. A pretty heartfelt gesture for the US ambassador. I like her a lot.

Kristalle Henares who is Belo's daughter to her first husband said that her mother is back to her normal life and their family is there to support her mom. The end of the May-December affair of the former lovers was haunted by many showbiz reporters and people speculating that Belo discovered that Kho's Monkey business having an alleged affair with sexy actresses Katrina Halili and Rufa Mae Quinto. Good thing she moved on and now focusing her life with her business.

My Dream Girl

I heard a study done in the US that men usually end up married with red heads rather than blonds. Not that I'm making a huge comparison but in my opinion, it seems to be true. With the media hype of having blond women being “all that there is” in Hollywood and Playboy for that matter, it seems but natural for men to think that Red Heads are more serious when it comes to relationships. This same also happens to brunettes. Maybe that’s also why they are lesser these days. There aren’t so many available women with that distinct quality. Maybe the fake ones would count too because some of them turn to local beauty shops to get the same color. Men would probably go serious with them afterward. I maybe wrong on some level but there might be a chance that I’m right.

A French singer called La Russo caught my eye once because she was all that I could ever ask for in a woman. She’s tall, she’s got a cute face, that famous natural red hair and she speaks French too. She got her screen name for obvious reasons and you know why I like her in some aspects because like the people who read my articles in this side of the world, we adore things that are quite unique to us. It’s nothing new for an Asian – Hispanic looking lad like me from this country to like someone like her. Awe I’m getting a little bit mushy again ha-ha!

KUMAGCOW MOOOOSIC REVIEWS: DANITA KANE and their album WELCOME TO THE DOLLHOUSE

I was not paying attention obviously because this old girl group that I liked way back when they were just created on a reality show just made miles of legwork and look at this particular video that REALLY made my hair stand literally.

Poetry is one of the singles that they have in the recent album Danity Kane - Welcome to the Dollhouse. These women are all talented. I mean look at the vocal ranges that they have. The 2 african american girls are outstanding and could probably stand on their own as divas like Fantasia Barrino of some sort. The 2 blonde ones are not far behind and look at them dedicate themselves on the length of the song instead of doing their own thing. This is really a good combination of highs and lows and a possible head reaching tone with that sort of latina middle of the road girl that has a distinct voice that you would recognize even in a chorus because its of a specific tone. I'm quite impressed by this particular performance, I'm going to buy their CD soon and probably download their videos too so I can play em all day in my Play Station Portable Slim. This is just going to be addicting I'm sure and the probable Last Song Syndrome I'm going to have in the shower is this Hahaha... I'll get Danita Kane anytime!

Workers Grateful for Government Stimulus

A Minnesota union says their workers are very grateful for the $787 billion economic stimulus package which passed legislation this Friday. Glen Johnson is the business manager for the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 49 which represents more than 13,000 workers in Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota. Johnson says the passage of the bill is a major victory for the nation's working people. The President takes care of their sector obviously.

The IUOE estimates the spending of this stimulus package will create 12,000 construction jobs in Minnesota by late spring and thousands more by fall. He says investment in the nation's infrastructure projects will create work for men and women in the construction industry in which their work force contributes.

Initially they were on the verge of folding to the economic recession but with the stimulus package in place, mostly all of them will get a job. TESDA Emergency Job Fair

Over 2,500 people joined the jobs assistance and training fair that the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) held in Taguig City. Among the ones who joined the job fair were the displaced workers’ and OFW, local workers and other jobless people.

Heading the job fair was President Arroyo herself and the and it was attended to by Labor Secretary Marianito Roque, Trade Secretary Peter Favila and TESDA Director General Augusto Syjuco. The emergency job fair aims to help those who are greatly affected by the economic crisis.
