Workers Grateful for Government Stimulus

Tuesday, February 17, 2009

A Minnesota union says their workers are very grateful for the $787 billion economic stimulus package which passed legislation this Friday. Glen Johnson is the business manager for the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 49 which represents more than 13,000 workers in Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota. Johnson says the passage of the bill is a major victory for the nation's working people. The President takes care of their sector obviously.

The IUOE estimates the spending of this stimulus package will create 12,000 construction jobs in Minnesota by late spring and thousands more by fall. He says investment in the nation's infrastructure projects will create work for men and women in the construction industry in which their work force contributes.

They have member workers in highway and building construction, equipment repair and welding shops and related businesses. Initially they were on the verge of folding to the economic recession but with the stimulus package in place, mostly all of them will get a job. Some of them might need legal services in the Minneapolis, MN area, I highly recommend them to check out http://www.bolinskelaw.com for services of a Labor or Divorce Lawyer so some of them can start their lives over.

Dating Throwdown

Social networks have been a part of the online culture. Weather you call them generation X, Y or Z it's always going to be the new generation that is going to harness the power of connecting with friends and their friends as well.

Millions of people around the world join these networks for various reasons. This does not discount the fact that they are also looking for love. Online dating has been connecting people since the invention of the Internet. I know some of them and weather they choose to marry a foreigner or a local person it seems to find its way no matter how distance separate them. Dating is getting harder these days because there are several etiquette procedures that they don't follow. They do not really get it when you have to call the spade a spade.

Analyzing the trend of facebook dating for example makes one consider what they should do. A lot of single men are around in the US and taking your best foot forward is definitely not everything. There is nothing sweeter than a summer fling but if you find the right one then that should stay. Check out http://www.thecharmingyou.com and see what's in store for you in the online dating scene.

I know what I got myself into...

I've been thinking so hard these days that I literally forget things at home. I don't know what to do anymore about my personal problems but I try so hard to concentrate on my job and gym so I don't lose it. Yeah the jolly ol me is also vulnerable, nobody knew because they think I'm strong outside...literally but I try not to shoulder things too much or I'll have a heart attack sooner than I think.

I'm taking time to rest but what happened this morning at gym was already a norm for me. If I get into trouble with my life I usually run. Yes I run until I almost run out of breath. I set the treadmill high that if I trip I'm surely going to get my face slammed on the machine. I am so lazy running before but I ran so hard so when it gets dangerous I'll be thinking about that instead of my problems. This is much like a suicide attempt but thinking about it, who died of running on a treadmill? Let me know! ^_^

I don't know if I should deal with this today because the more that I spend time thinking about it, I think the problem is getting worse. Maybe later this evening I'll try my best to talk to her. You know how these things go... I'm not sure what to say anymore. I'll let you know if things turn out okay soon.
