Ian Veneracion Goes International with ONE GOOD DAY on Amazon Prime Video

Saturday, October 22, 2022

Last night we went to Seda Vertis North for the press conference of One Good Day, a film by Studio Three Sixty to be shown on the Amazon Prime Video platform. This is directed by Lester Pimentel Ong who did Panday, Lastikman, Imortal, La Luna Sangre, Bagani among others. He says "This has been something I have been fortunate to do with Ian Veneracion as he's not just a good looking man, but a martial artist and a real athlete."

As mentioned, this is Ian Veneracion's foray to something that will be internationally released. The film is going to be released in 10 countries (maybe even more later on). As this is acquired already by the Prime Video platform it would be accessible to the market they intended this to be shown to. Direk Lester mentioned that there's millions of audiences waiting for a glimpse of what Filipino action films are. There's certainly a lack of it, but if there's someone who would be nice to see out there, Ian Veneracion would be a sight for sore eyes. For those who don't know, he's done a lot of action films in the late 90's and 2000's. He's not new to the genre, and he didn't stay away from doing physical training for it because it's part of his lifestyle to shoot, do martial arts and spar every once in a while. He was excited to do this when news came about this project. Here's part of the interview we had with him last night.

The talk also delved on the latest brouhaha about banning KDrama in the country, here's what he said about the issue.

Ian Veneracion is also celebrating his 40th year in the industry, proof that vampires exist!

Other artists that will also be part of this movie include Rabiya Mateo, Andrea Torres, Aljur Abrenica, Kyzer Catillo, Justin Cuyugan, Nicole Cordoves, Pepe Herrera, Menchu Lauchengco-Yulo and others. This will be shown November 17, 2022 and will be in 6 parts on Thursdays thereafter. These are certainly exciting times for Filipinos to showcase how we do it in our part of the globe. Ian also says "I hope this just opens opportunities not just for me, but the talented Filipino actors that we have in the country." and by the looks of it, it's quite possible to happen soon.

IAN and OGIE Continues Concert: VIRTUALLY YOURS, KILABOTITOS

Friday, February 26, 2021

This was postponed last year because of obvious reasons, but it had to be done. The country's most good looking Uncles, Ian Veneracion and Ogie Alcasid will be doing their concert called Virtually Yours, KILABOTITOS which is happening March 26th.

Ian Veneracion told us how he was called Tito and says "So I had a project with Bea Alonzo and when we introduced ourselves, she suddenly asked if she could call me Tito, I immediately told her "Tito mo mukha mo wag kang magkakamali! (in jest)" but it was a little heartbreaking, we can't stop aging."

Ogie on the other hand said "The first time I got called Tito was when I was 13 and my sister got pregnant. Aside from that, it was Lovi Poe who called me that since we were with the same manager. Then after that, when I transferred in ABSCBN all the other singers called me that way, these days, I'm like used to it and I'm already 53 so I think it's okay now to call me that."

Here's more of the short interview we did with them today!

The two will be making your post valentines day blues away and will give you the hit 70's and 80's music which you were binging on during this pandemic. Though it will be held live online, Virtually Yours KilaboTITOS will still make you swoon because these guys still have it. Tickets are sold on KTX.PH or Ticketnet.com.ph and I heard they're almost sold out.

Tuesday, October 03, 2017

His looks? They don't come easy, but if he's got symptoms of cough he takes Ascof Forte Menthol Syrup. It fits him in all occasions.

It's the holidays and I'm sure some of you are noticing the change of weather. From the hot humid almost summer felt nights, to the cold because your single freezing evenings. Well don't fret because you'll get snuggled with a few tips by this man who looks like he's never aged, he's the Philippines very own good looking vampire, A Love To Last leading man Ian Veneraciion.

His secret to looking this good doesn't come easy. He shares how one should still have a very active lifestyle. Even if he's spending several shooting days out in the provinces, he still finds time to still workout and make sure that physique still looks the same when he's in front of the camera. Do not be tempted to stay in your bed too long, yes, you should still have enough sleep but if it's time to workout, do not be lazy. Make sure your requirements of enough cardio and weight training is accomplished before calling it a day. Aside from that, make sure you eat something healthy. He swears fruits and vegetables still occupy his plate and does it from breakfast, lunch and dinner. The anti oxidants must have done wonders for his skin, I mean look at him... isn't he angelic like me? Well sort of.

He also keeps his physique and mental alertness in check by engaging in his favorite sports like football, basketball, tennis, swimming, sailing, motocross, martial arts and even boxing. When he gets a little sick because of getting all sweaty of these activities, he takes control of it with a remedy like Ascof. It's natural, made from the Lagundi leaves and even gives it to his whole family when they need relief. He might be a Dad of 3 but he's quite confident even the kids can take it. Those bronchial asthma won't be too much of a problem because it's safe, it's organic and won't leave you sick. It's also got menthol soothing ingredients that would make you feel better, Ian suggest you take this when you it's just starting because it all felt better when he did it. He knows Pascual Laboratories made these in their farm in Nueva Ecija, with the strictest standards it's all safe. If you want to know more about it, visit their Facebook page at www.facebook.com/ASCOFLagundi and their official website http://www.pascuallab.com/index.php/ascof but if symptoms persist, they strongly advise you consult your doctor, I think that's the best advise!

Jodi Sta. Maria and Richard Yap for The Achy Breaky Hearts

Sunday, June 19, 2016

We're at The Achy Breaky Hearts intimate presscon today with Team Chinoy Jodi Sta. Maria and Richard Yap. The two have been very busy promoting their movie and I'm excited too as tje pairings are my families favorite.

Jody mentioned "Ian and Richard are a joy to work with, but I think I'm really close to both of them. It doesn't matter of they are married, I'm okay with that because there's no alterior motive. I love working with them. Direk always asks us about our opinions, Chinggay has been single for years and she's been heartbroken so when Frank came back she was more careful, she was also taking in consideration a new love and the previous guy she was with. That's where the story will spin. Now that it's Fathers day, I will give Richard care and concern ha-ha! I haven't reallt gone through a stage where I got to be courted ny two good looking guys. There are some scenes where I got to connect with Chinggay, about relationships, about a new guy. I always give chances, no regrets on my decisions, I know it will only make me wiser and stronger as a woman. This is our profession, but unlike what people know, we study our characters and we become effective portraying roles because of that. We alsp consult each other to make the scenes realistic. We know how to react because we did our homework. I know they are married and I respect them individually, it's better for me because I can make sumbong if ever ha-ha! We share the same standby area for 2 years, so it was just normal to be close. The last thing I want to happen is for real Team Tisoys and Team Chinoys to actually be divisive, and they made the story light and you'll understand in the story how it's going to make both of the guys end in good terms. If there's someone to pair with you, we have to make them believe the character, to the love story. Chinggay is guarded, but open with the other. They really pursued her and they showed their intentions. Chinggay liked that."

Richard Yap says "When we're working, we get into the story. We've also gone through wrongdoing, the faults in our relationship. This new one is something that should be perfect, that's what we want to do. I think Ian and I have dofferent levels of expertise and he's really good in drama but I don't want to compare and I'll leave that to the audience. I can relate to the guy, my character, because before I got married we broke up but when we got back together I knew for sure that I'll marry Mrs.Chen. It's the cooperation of everybody, we study our characters so it looks real in camera. When we started out, we didn't know each other and through time, we developed our friendship. We have common interests, mutual trust and respect came later on. We both know each other's moods, we already know when and not to disturb each other. Jodi is so attractive, but we have our limits, and we're professinals and we must keep it that way. "

The movie will premier on June 29 and is Directed by Tonette Jadaone. This is produced by Star Cinema.

ABSCBN's "Pangako Sa'yo" Bids Farewell

Friday, February 05, 2016

Popular TV show Pangako Sa'yo (The Promise) is ending this February and with its successful second run on ABSCBN, they're ending it with a huge turn of events as Yna Macaspac (played by Kathryn Bernardo) finds out she's the long lost daughter of Amor Powers. Angelo (played by Daniel Padilla) is now caught in between as there's a huge issue that Yna might actually be his half sister.

They've been adored by fans in Asia, proven it with their wins in different award giving bodies and has remained as the teen King and Queen even after this show. They signified that after this, they're gearing towards accepting more mature roles and said that the show helped them transition through that awkward stage where they're too old to be sweet teens and too young to get roles with more character. They feel to have really grown because the show has been able to give a different side of who KathNiel is. They reminisced how they felt how huge the project was when they were running around that iconic hill seen on the first few trailers whilst signifying this as a huge honor to be in.

The show will end on February 12 as they will give way to the Enrique Gil and Liza Soberano starrer "Dolce Amore". Jodi Sta. Maria and Ian Veneracion on the other hand said they've never been so thankful to have been able to portray the roles of Amor and Eduardo. Likewise, they're hoping not to have Claudia Buenavista (played by Angelica Panganiban) in the mix as they end the show next week. With the jampacked shows abroad and the continued support they're getting in social media and the internet, they hope you get to watch the next few days left in Pangako Sa'yo.

Here are video excerpts of the event:
