LG Unveils Isaiah Cacnio Digital Piece "Fragments" at National Museum of Natural History
Wednesday, June 18, 2025
So much has happened at the National Museum of Natural History when the folks from LG and Isaiah Cacnio unveiled his series called "FRAGMENTS" which was inspired by geological wonders in the country, and is a fully digital art. This is the first time that the National Museum has also housed something digital, so in a way, they are making history. I've seen it in person and it was huge. It also moves, non-static, super different from the things they usually display. Fragments is made up of three installations called Where Fire Begins, Stories in Stone, and What Breaks, Flows. Graphics in different colors that move and emulate emotion, you could easily be carried away when you view it there.
LG also showcased their latest OLED and QNED TV's that uses AI and the latest generation of features they have for devices. They also took us to see how they've changed the technology used for their TV's and AI Magic remote. It had less buttons and more function, which is apparently a good way to ergonomically change the usual crazy presses we need to do to watch TV or use apps in it. They're definitely changing the way we watch TV.
Robi Domingo hosted the event and interviewed Bela Padilla, Mika Reyes and LA Tenorio about their experience using LG products. From gaming, to binge watching and using the LG OLED B5 and QNED's features, they got to discuss how they enjoyed every bit of it. Oh and before I forget, the National Museum of Natural History also received the Php 500,000 worth of display tech from LG. This is part of their commitment to culture and education (as this is not the first time they've done this). This will be part of the display for years, their way of honoring the past. Make sure you visit the museum and enjoy the art installations, it's truly rare to see things like it in the Philippines. You can have them though if you get them from appliance stores nationwide!
Cacnio's work was a stunner. I couldn't believe what I was seeing on display that afternoon. Go check it out at the National Museum. Entrance is free, but arrangements can be made for guided tours (I think it's a better option) so email them ahead.

Do you own an LG Smart TV? Or are you planning to get one? This news item is certainly made for you. Every LG Smart TV owner is set to get astounded with a new spy thriller show called CITADEL, seen on Prime Video and Amazon Studios. What's good is that you'll be loving it even more on the LG OLED TV as it's scenes will be set in deep blacks and crisp life like color. This also sits so good on the models that have Automatic FilmMaker and Dolby Vision, for an even immersive experience just like in the movies.
The show starts streaming on Prime Video on April 28 and stars Richard Madden and the beautiful Priyanka Chopra Jonas. You'll be obsessed with the spy angled story that goes through a chase around the world. There's also a love story in between so make sure to bring popcorn as it'll be a long one. LG Highlights New Soundbars at CES 2023
Thursday, January 12, 2023
Looks like LG Electronics took advantage of the CES show in Las Vegas as they introduced new Soundbars and Home Entertainment products this January.
For starters, they've got the new SC9 and SE6 models that could bring exceptional audio with state of the art features and very stylish designs. It also can be perfectly paired with the existing LG TV models and connect with its audio channels so you get an immersive experience even at home. This can be perfect for those looking for multi surround solutions so owners can listen to Dolby Atmos and IMAX quality sound through DTS:X technology.
It's also easy to control and manage from the LG TV's Home Dashboard even wirelessly via WOWCAST so you don't need to have wires running from wall to wall. It also looks pretty and very minimalist which LG is quite known for. Also, with LG's Triple Sound Optimizer, you can enjoy life like sound, much like spatial audio for those movies or music videos you absolutely love!
If that ain't enough, LG also has an advanced AI Sound Pro feature which automatically chooses the sound settings for you without the need for mumbo jumbo. Imagine the things you could do with the wireless soundbars that LG has in their arsenal, it would be easy to design home theaters, listening rooms and just about any entertainment space you like. I'd love to also see it perform with video gaming consoles since I'm quite fond of it.
Judging from the product photos from the event, it's fit for small spaces and quite sleek, so it'll fit right in your home especially if your space is a little modern. You should take a look at CES 2023 highlights and see what advancements LG has in store for you. See why almost every home in South Korea has this brand.

LG RECONNECT 2022: Experiencing New LG Monitors in Real Life
Saturday, July 23, 2022
You can't say it's immersive without experiencing it all so the folks at LG Philippines got us all to see it in action with the latest models of monitors, TV sets and even a real deal transparent monitor at the recent LG RECONNECT 2022 event at the Podium Mall in Pasig City.
They also worked with the largest distributor of IT brands in the country VST-ECS Phils. to see how much of the international companies work with the best monitors LG has and use it for different scenarios. For starters, gaming, office work, presentations, photo and video editing, telephony, video conferencing (yes I see you Cisco, the Meraki setups were sick!), having it with different accessories (Logitech), and working in different environments (again with different brands), still LG fits the bill.
Thank you for the fun afternoon, the entertainment and the experience of having these LG Monitors used in different scenarios. I am eyeing that monitor that Magic Liwanag is using for photo and video editing, I just have to look at some of the great things that LG offers. And I bet, I'll be sharing the experience of doing that in a few days. Stay tuned!
You Can Do and See More with LG UltraWide Monitors
Monday, May 02, 2022
The need for a dependable, workhorse for monitors is at an all time high now. With professionals arranging work from home, you need something that can accomodate all the windows on your screen, all the software you need, a refresh rate and resolution acceptable in world standards. If it can't do that, it's going to be extra difficult for those who need it in these conditions. LG Electronics have continued to innovate these past few years including their top of the line LG UltraWide monitors. With the likes of the UltraWide Full HD Resolution 2560x1080, it surely gives one more real estate space on screen, that's about 33 percent compared with an FHD screen (1920x1080) used in some homes and offices.
Congratulations to LG for always putting the consumer at the forefront of their innovations, how they start technology, think about their design and give value when releasing products around the world.
