Love Matters at the ABSCBN Vertis Tent

The love month is just around the corner and for those who are still finding the perfect event to go to for a date that's not far, well I've got news for you.

You see that tent right in front of Ayala Malls Vertis North with the huge ABSCBN logo on it? That's the location, now think about the good music and romance you'll get if you have the prince of RnB Kris Lawrence, Pop Diva Ms. Kuh Ledesma, the forever young Gabbi Concepcion and Kuh's daughter Isabella Gonzales, wouldn't that be unbelievable? Exactly, that's why they call this LOVE MATTERS... a concert that will happen at the ABSCBN Vertis North Tent on February 13 at 8PM.

Kris takes this concert as an honor to be able to perform with some of the country's icons in music and showbusiness. Ms. Kuh on the other hand has had the pleasure to stay with Mr. Gabbi Concepcion and their friends a couple of months ago in the US and is excited to perform with the 80's hearthrob on stage. She also is in the works to also do a birthday concert in March and says this may serve as a teaser for what's coming on those dates. She also knows how talented Kris is and she's excited how to mix things with him and daughter Isabella. This will be a fun evening for all four.

The LOVE MATTERS concert is produced by ALV Events International in partnership with ABSCBN Vertis Tent management. This isn't going to be the only thing happening at Ayala Malls Vertis North as they have a lot lined up for 2018. Martin Nievera & Lani Misalucha in Masquerade the Concert

This February 14 and 15, it's going to be a great time to go out on dates and enjoy Filipino artists in their talented form. So what do we have? Of course Asia's Nightingale Lani Misalucha and the Concert King Martin Nievera. It may sound cliche but I think this season means it's automatic to go to their concerts because they're really good. This will happen in Solaire's Grand Ballroom and perhaps a repeat soon in Cebu Waterfront (I heard!). The Music Director is Louie Ocampo, so you know this is going to be a nice night.

Martin Nievera says "l think I'm sweet, you can ask all the ladies I've been with. By the way, Pops, Ariel, Dayanara and I will be on the same stage after 22 years on February 5 and I'm excited to see her. You'll hear great songs, mashups but not out of this world changes. I kinda hate when people do that. I'll sing for you guys in a bit and hope you'll see a glimpse of what to expect in the concert. Lani has guested in my show, so have I in hers. The songs we've chosen here are things that I wanted to sing with her. You'll hear love songs for the broken hearted, for pretending to be lovers. There are only a few tickets left for the 15th so if you haven't bought one yet, you should! Everyone that comes to our show usually have a mask but we want to take that out with our music, it's time for realness and it's going to be in the lyrics of our songs. You can come as you are. I don't want to unmask my girlfriend because I want her free from the judging eyes of people, I also want to keep it private. She's there, she's always behind me and that to me is great. 

Lani Misalucha adds "When in the US we feel like domestic helpers because we do things ourselves. It's pretty hard to do that while traveling and it took me a lot of hours to get here from Las Vegas (she does shows there). We want people to be confortable and have them enjoy that evening. Martin is a gentleman, he would open the door for you, give you his jacket, that's how sexy he is. We always ask ourselves what do people want since they spend a lot, dressing up for the show. We are so happy about the music industry now that we've sold out our first day. But the most heartwarming is to know that this happens this late in our career. To be in a venue like Solaire and people go, we must be doing something right for people to sponsor and produce us. It's very humbling. We are primarily singers, I'm glad we exist in social media. The mileage we get from there is huge, we don't have regrets and we don't alienate ourselves in any platform so we don't miss the bus. I hope people would want to see us more in this concert which we plan to tour elsewhere in the world."

Ayala Malls Give You More Reasons to Lovemall!

I was trying to figure out what Ayala Malls had to offer this 2016 and I think you'll love what you'll see. They're continuing to push the envelope starting with an artsy take on valentne's day called "Art to HeART". Starting this February 14th, they'll be putting in some really good art installations and masterpieces designed to evoke and tickle the human imagination.


For instance, Glorietta will be done by crafter and pattern designer Alessandra Lanot, whilst Camy Francisco and The Googley Gooeys team will do Market! Market! and Serendra. There will also be one done in Bonifacio High Street by Fil-Am graffiti artist Dee Jae Pa'este and one in Alabang Town Center to be worked on by Bambi Manosa and Kids4Kids, Sam Galvez Lorenzo of Village Art Gallery and Patrick Cabral of Bucketfeet. Trinoma and UP Town Center on the other hand will be done by young artists Krish Abrigo, Egg Fiasco and Seikon. Fairview Terraces' spaces on the other hand will be painted on by EXL D, whilst Marquee Mall in Pampanga will be filled with vectors and hand drawn images by Marcushiro and Bru of Electrolychee. Farley Del Rosario on the other hand will be doing Harbor Point Mall up north.

Here's a preview of what to expect in Ayala Malls this season:

Solenad, Serin and The District in Imus will be made up by artists coming from Adventist University of the Philippines, Tripp63, Chill, and BLIC. Abreeza Mall in Mindanao will be done by University of Mindanao students so expect something good there too. 

Meanwhile, Ayala Malls also launched their new app made by Idea'Yala's Team Barkadayala called Ayala Mall's A-Portal so you can find everything in one place. You won't be spinning around in circles when you get to an Ayala Mall anymore, plus you get to love the connections as it's got your social media checkins there too!

They also have concierge services via One Concierge which you can call 7959595 if you see the need to. You might also win stuff if you post selfies with the installations so the next time you go to an Ayala Mall, you might get to do that on the side too. See how easy it is? MOA Sweet Eats: Valentines Rock from Made In Candy

What date is it now? Well, it's only a few days before the dreaded Valentines Day comes and you probably haven't thought about getting her a gift right? If that's the case, might I suggest you drop by Made In Candy at Mall of Asia or their other branches near you? When we visited their branch in Mall of Asia a few days ago, I was surprised to see their laboratory, well I think that was what they wanted us to think because inside their store, they make the candies on the spot!

The table had these whimsically colored test tubes and flasks that contain the individual flavors of candies that they can use and they actually use them, then combine with different ones to make that special candy that you wish you had when you were a kid.

I also saw some guys buying stuff for their girlfriends already, more so because Made In Candy made a whole special batch of candies that is dedicated to Valentines Day. If you want one that is customized, you can ask them to make you one for special occasions but it'll cost around 11K++. It's probably going to be worth it if it's just for weddings or debuts but if you wish it's something affordable, you can opt for their special "Valentines Rocks" and make your woman happy.

It's also available in these cute little jars that you can purchase for less or more than a hundred bucks. It's kinda cheap but it doesn't look like it. I'm tired of the usual box of chocolates so maybe if you're looking for something new to give to that special girl, this one just might work.

Or if you prefer, they have some of it in packets and if you're around the store, they would also have some few pieces out for tasting. Pair this up with a bouquet of flowers and she's going to be a happy camper. You know how that goes. You probably might get something in return too, who knows! But trust me on the candy.
