VIC SOTTO Endorses SANTÉ BARLEY

Tuesday, January 14, 2025

It's a really great morning to bring you good news, our favorite barley brand Santé wants you to love the brand even more, so they got the best man for the job... No other than Vic Sotto.

The well loved drink and health product manufacturer from the Philippines (imports raw materials from New Zealand) wants you to Live for More, and today, in simple ceremonies at the Luxent hotel, they introduced him to the press as their brand ambassador.

Vic says "I am together with Santé International in celebrating their 18th year, and living healthy. Of course I drink Santé barley on an empty stomach, first thing in the morning. It fortifies my immune system, and as Lakan Makisig, it's what I do. It also makes me look good."

He adds "I know of Santé Barley and researched about their product. It's a super food, I sat down with them and knew even more about the organization and so, I said yes right away, they promote healthy living. When it comes to that, I am always for it. Knowing where it came from, and it's quality, it's why I said yes to it. It's not a secret anymore. I take Santé Barley. We were just talking and they already gave me 5 years worth of Santé barley, you can really feel it in your body when you start taking it. I had it before breakfast, it cleanses, and my immune system plus overall health is being taken cared of by it. When it is something that I don't use, I don't endorse it. I did due diligence, and it benefited me a lot, I believe in it and used it so it's just so easy to endorse it. More than that, I feel it will help others which is why I did this."

Vic adds "One of the regimen I do is that I only eat when it's time to eat. I don't eat junk food, sweets, I take everything in moderation including alc0hol and soft drinks. I don't even have maintenance medicine for hyperpigmentation and diabetes namely Joey and Allan K. It's a very healthy food supplement and for me, I am thankful that I am lucky with health and this body. I also sleep 6-7 hours a day, enjoy my family. I don't exercise, just brisk walk and do golf. It's just what I do, because I couldn't do what Pauline does because she does high intensity spinning class."

Joey of Santé International says "We couldn't sleep knowing one of our choices was Vic Sotto. He's an institution, and it was not a hard choice to have him as our endorser. Before we asked him, I introduced it to him and told him about the company and the advocacy. The product is good, but as a company, we always believe in the product and for the next coming years, he is a good match."

If you want to know more about their products, just look for Santé International on social media and their main website santebarley.com.

Scenes from the MEDIA DAY with TVJ and LEGIT DABARKADS

Saturday, June 24, 2023

While I was asking around the TV5's Reliance Studios of what's about to happen, I kind of forgot how huge and controversial this issue is in the Philippine entertainment scene. It's a mix between the matters of business, the personalities, ethics, loyalty, and heartbreak. To say the least, it was hard to digest and formulate apt questions to be streamed live on TV5 and different social channels, scary lol.

Though in hindsight, it just boils down to this... TVJ and all of the Dabarkads are just looking for a new home... TV5 chose them, and so did TVJ Productions Inc. (a company owned by Tito, Vic Sotto and Joey De Leon). For starters, the MVP Group has approached Eat Bulaga a long time ago (according to MVP) and it just happened that the whole talk between them happened after all that issue happened at the other corp. What's happening now is that Mediaquest and TVJ Productions Inc. are now entering an investment deal. They got 51% of the media production company, so they're not blocktimers, they are part owners of the actual company. Ms. Jane Basas the President and CEO of MQuest Ventures was also there to welcome them on board. Senator Tito Sotto was thankful about their welcome!

The first topic was about WHAT IS THE NEW NAME OF THE SHOW? WILL THERE BE A NEW NAME?

This was answered by TVJ during the first part of the mediacon:

Then during the mediacon, it was certainly a time for them to get their statements out especially with Bossing Vic, Joey De Leon, Ryan Agoncillo and Allan K who really went balling when several questions were asked about the kind people who supported them plus the time when they were told about their apparent separation from the production.

Senator Tito Sotto also talked about the circumstances around the copyright case they're undergoing, and asserts ownership of Joey de Leon of it. This is really a huge debacle they're being involved in and here's hoping everything will get settled, amicably while both sides get justice they seek.

About the show, they said it'll be called (XXXXXXX) well, they didn't really confirm the title. So sit back, relax and make sure you see the show on July 1st as they surprise you with what's going to happen with the show they plan to put out lunchtime with the Legit Dabarkads and your well loved TVJ. For now, congratulations to MQuest Ventures and TVJ Productions Inc. for formally signing your partnership. Go get Filipinos entertained!

Andrea Torres and Lharby Policarpio for MEANT TO BEH

Thursday, December 14, 2017

Fun to see Ms. Andrea Torres and Lharby Policarpio this afternoon at the CAVE in Tomas Morato. We were there to interview them for their film MEANT TO BEH which is the comback movie of Vic Sotto while he's paired with the timeless Ms. Dawn Zulueta.

Andrea Torres says "I am not a bad person here, not negative at all but I will wreak havoc with their relationship. I have been part of MMFF previously, like 10 years ago. I feel this is a blessing to end the year and I am excited. I was a bit stiff in the beginning, thinking of what to say or do Bossing Vic was already breaking the ice. How I wish we could get to do the bonding we did in Baguio, I miss them a lot. I have done comedy before since I am part of Bubble Gang, but of course I was still star struck because they are who they are. Ms. Dawn was so funny too and you can't compare it with what she portrays in real life. I am so glad about their feedback because that's what I wanted to do. I am also shocked at how they treat you like friends. Baste is like a baby brother, such a good kid to actually be with because he always never forget to share food when he's about to eat, he's certainly going to be adored by a lot of people. I am also going to gift myself with an out of the country trip, I think I owe it to myself to be with my folks and my brother. I am really looking forward to another MMFF eventful week. This is a G movie, you will expect the whole family to be there and I am excited to see them watch the film. You'll see this to be blessed in the box office, I wish he could win the best actor trophy. Just to be part of the project was a dream for me, but if ever I win the best supporting actress category would make me really happy. About the Bench Fashion Show, you just would never forget a moment like that. Their feedback was all good and if you were in the back stage, you wouldn't see anything like that because everyone was so nice and they were giving me food left and right, it was just like a celebration for Bench's 30 years."

Lharby Policarpio was also with us that afternoon and he says "I play Brad here and is a school bully. We have our own story inside the actual film. This is my first time to do an MMFF entry do getting to work with them was a dream for me. Though I was a college bully, it was more concentrated with JC and I did mistreat them a lot. The set is happy because from the director to the stars, they were all cracking jokes. Sue is remarkable, she's like one of the boys. She jokes a lot even if we are changing clothes, she's so chill and she doesn't make you feel that she's a big star. I also can't wait to travel because I do that quite often, for Christmas I wish that I would have time for that. This film is relateable and fun, like what any Vic Sotto project you have seen in the past but with more heart, more inspiration. We are sure this will earn a lot, but the awards will just be a reward for us. We hope you watch the film if you want to get inspired, a little touch of romance and learn about real family relationships."

MEANT TO BEH will be shown on December 25 and will also star Gabbi Garcia, Ruru Madrid, Sue Ramirez, Daniel Matsunaga and supee cute Baste. Bring your family and friends please!

Vic Sotto and Dawn Zulueta for MEANT TO BEH

Thursday, December 07, 2017

MZET and APT Entertainment will make your Christmas season even more FUN and romantic as they dish out this family film called MEANT TO BEH as part of Metro Manila Film Festival 2017.

Dawn Zulueta was so happy to be oart of it and she says "As an actor I just mirrored it with real life and the delivery is just the difference. I hardly do any comedy but it's exciting to discover this. I believe respect holds the glue to a relationship, and love too. It's nice to learn from the young ones, your mindset is like when you want to get into their heads, it's like an intellectual excercise so I learn a lot of things from them and I can't say anything bad about the people in our cast, they're really good. Bossing is still the same but I've learned how he as an actor is so good in drama. I felt his sincerity, he's very effective. It's an exciting discovery and if he does another one soon, this is a nice preview of what he can do. I don't have any beauty secrets, I just make an effort, perhaps the outlook, I have different friends in different age groups. You have to have time to learn new things from young people. They are just waiting for this and when this project came along I was just thrilled to work with him after so many DECADES haha. I sure hope this earns a lot so we can have a part 2, and hope they get me again ha! You don't feel comedy is work when you are here, it's so energizing and I go home I reach another level of funny. Doing this is something else, a really good break for me."

Bossing Vic Sotto says "Even if last year I missed a lot, it's so nice to finally been able to go back. The fantasy genre has always been a good niche for me but I wanted to so something realistic, it's a serious movie but we just present it in a light manner. The theme is heavy but since this is a family thing, we had to make it apt for Christmas, be family centric. After watching the movie, you'll feel a lot of things that would include values we would like to impart. In a manner you'll laugh, but still learn from it. Acceptance for what he or she is, nothing would come out of it if it's always one person adjusting to the other. Like Dawn's character and how she is totally different from me, I like that part. I like these young actors, these millenials because if they're good they take their jobs seriously. When we started initially, we didn't know how he would deliver but he did, BASTE will be the next BIG thing. We actually learn from them too, they set good examples to the youth. As an actor you want to do everything, not just drama or comedy, you have to perform well in whatever role you get. It may have been a different genre now but it's a serious funny theme, it's difficult but you'll find fun in the conversations with no effort, I just trusted the scene and script. It's still important to earn from it so that you can have another film to show next time. If I come across a very good script, who knows, TVJ may come back but it has to be a good script. When we were planning this, we already had Dawn in mind and this film is some sort of first for me. I now have had the chance to do "idawn zulueta mo ako" in person. If it's about advice, the new actors we had may well advise us because they are good. When we were casting we didn't have problems casting from other networks, it didn't really matter, it felt like actors were not forced into a boundary. Now you may have limitations but shouldn't be a big deal. We all come from one industry. Please watch us first but please watch other films in the festival too. I don't want to put competition on the festival, our goal is to make people happy during Christmas so let's work together, that's the message we are trying to project here too. They are neither kapamilya or kapuso, they are all Kabisotes."

Director Chris Martinez adds "Friendship and love is the secret to a lasting relationship. Bossing is going to be a bit serious here, it's a best actor piece for him so you have to find out if he performs. It's really something different from the both of them."

JC Santos says "If you know yourself and you give your true self to your partner, that can get your relationship to last. I always try and see how they interact with each other, but I'm so glad they don't have star complex at all... they're all really humble. If you look at the Meant To Beh script, you just have to execute it and I'm very lucky to have worked with them."

Make sure you watch the movie this December 25, bring your family because it's intended for you.

Oyo Boy and Kristine Hermosa-Sotto on the Set of Hay Bahay!

Saturday, May 20, 2017

I didn't know what to feel when I was invited to go down south to see the set of Hay Bahay! Its the 45 minute sitcom which stars Vic Sotto, Ms. Aiai Delas Alas, Wally Bayola, Jose Manalo, and real life lovebirds Oyo Boy and Kristine Hermosa Sotto shown on GMA every Sunday. I was a little nervous as I was about to talk to really big stars from my generation and add to that one of the prettiest faces in the planet was there, who was still stunning as ever. I don't even know if Kristine Hermosa is still aware of that but she shared her secrets about how she's still as gorgeous as ever during our interview. Yes we have video interviews of Oyo Boy and Ms. Kristine so stay tuned! For the mean time let's take you around the house, this is like a personal tour :)

Have you seen the front of this house? I thought i was just a wall put up on a set but when we visited, it was actually a real house built from the ground up and they can dismantle it and put it up anytime they want, and it was quite detailed thanks to the set designer who planned this all. We actually talked to him a few hours before the shoot and we had to interview between takes, I forgot his name but he was one of he pioneers who loved and started shipping ALDUB. It was fun to see how they actually have fun on the set and make all the funny scenes all seem so natural as if they weren't following any script, but they were. That takes genius.

This part is the couch where they usually have scenes, they usuall talk here when they go in and out of the house.

Do you also recognize this? This is their veranda and if they want to shoot outdoors, this is where they do it.

This is the kitchen, and if I didn't know this was the set I'd really mistake it for one, we had to remember that it didn't have a working sink, but isn't this immaculate?

This is one of the guest rooms in the house, they had like one or two scenes here during that day and I was so ecstatic because when I shot this particular room, Ms. Kristine Hermosa passed by~ I was like OMG lol

And if you really watch the show, they probably end all the scenes in this dining table. They kinda fix all the conflicts here while talking like a family, maybe that's exactly why this show has been very successful, you'll be laughing like a hyena tomorrow when the episode shows tomorrow (yes they show during Sundays) and you will also get to see Oyo and Kristines baby Marvic (who is super cute btw). Now here's the interview we had with Oyo Boy and Ms. Kristine during our set visit. Enjoy this one because not thatmany people has have had a chance to interview them about their show and their personal lives. Listen in!

I would like to take this bit and thank everyone at the Hay Bahay! set for allowing us to do this even on a busy shooting day. Thank you also to Oyo and Kristine for being so accomodating albeit not that familiar about blogger interviews. I like how the show talks about family life, their relationships, some mishaps but at the end of the day still keep themselves together no matter what problems arise. Hey by the way, this episode includes talk about someone getting married, are you ready for Hay Bahay tomorrow? I sure am excited about this! It shows during GMA's Sunday Grande. Don't miss it!

Vic Sotto for "Enteng Kabisote 10 and the Abangers"

Thursday, November 24, 2016

It looks like our favorite Bossing is at it again as he does the role of Enteng Kabisote for the 10th time in a swash buckling fantasy and adventure family movie called Enteng Kabisote 10 and the Abangers. The plot now makes the small time fix-it all person become a full blown robotics genius as he battles the evil forces of Kwak-Kwak played by Epi Quizon in this installment.

Benok aka Oyo Boy Sotto will be getting his armaments ready (aside from the usual magic of course) and a throng of demi heroes with their own respective skills to make sure that evil won't succeed while Enteng Kabisote is around. Designed for kids and their family, OctoArts and APT Entertainment wants to show this pre-Christmas time as they want the holiday time to start early, even before the Metro Manila Film Festival.

Aside from Enteng, he admits now that he also would need the help of his cute sisters Nidora, Tidora and my favorite Tinidora (played by Jose Manalo) to make sure Kwak-kwak and his Bibe henchmen won't occupy Engkantadya and the Earth one more time.

Suited up, will Enteng and his team of Abangers save the world from these new enemies? Make sure you watch it on November 30, 2016 in theaters nationwide! The film is also co-produced by M-Zet Productions, directed by Marlon Rivera and Tony Y. Reyes. I'm a little sad though because I don't see Alden and Maine on any of the literatures. Maybe they'll another movie soon?

It's Vic Sotto for Chooks To Go!

Wednesday, October 12, 2016

We got surprised today by someone who gives the best to his family, the new brand ambassador for Chooks to Go Mr. Vic Sotto. He's been loved all these years by Moms around the world and this time they're thinking of making you the reason for their Moms on the Go campaign.

Aside from bossing Vic, Super mom Delamar Arias was also there and said "It's super convenient. The best bonding between Cooper and my husband is talking while in the dinner table or in bed. We're disconnected and even without visuals, it's something so special and I've recorded it so he knows what he said when he was a kid. He even said that he could live with us when he gets married and when asked where she's going to live, he says she could sleep beside the dog, kids really the darnest things!"

They also told us about BAVI Agriventures. They are turning 20 this year and just so you know, they've got tons of poultry and livestock operations around the country and are the owners of Bounty Fresh, Chooks to Go, Reyal, to name a few. Their goal is to be the number one Commodity Chicken in the the Southeast Asian Region. It stemmed from their fears of opening the market a couple of years ago into a very quality driven company producing chicken. With superior recipes and the passionate people they have, they turned around and have become successful.

Vic Sotto was adorable. He swooned women with no effort. They chose him for his charm and they said his unbelievable attraction to women and Moms especially. You'll be seeing him hereon in upcoming commercials in different media. And of course, the best chicken even without sauce too!

Alden Richards for "My Bebelove #KiligPaMore" this MMFF 2015

Friday, December 25, 2015

He was sick, really under the weather when he was in the blogcon a few weeks ago for "My Bebelove #KiligPaMore". This is Alden Richards', Vic Sotto, Aiai Delas Alas and Maine Mendoza's movie under OctoArts Films and APT Entertainment. It's already being felt in theaters today that it's a box office hit because of the lines I saw earlier in the mall. They also had a lot of theaters for it yet it's looking like the lines won't stop. Hopefully they already fixed the dubbing issues they've seen during the premier. This is another feather to the hat of Direk Joey Reyes because they're not looking for awards this year, but a material that would make all the fans of AlDub happy. They're taking on different roles this time and will shy away from the regular KiligSerye characters they portray in Eat Bulaga. This will also show a different Vic Sotto, more on the macho gentleman side, plus an extremely funny Aiai Delas Alas who's said to be ready to capture the long lost crown of being Comedy Queen in Philippine cinema.

As of this writing, I couldn't get to watch it again because I won't be able to muster enough strength to line up that long. I will try the reserved seats perhaps tomorrow. It's looking like a successful Metro Manila Film Festival is in the midst and I can't wait to see the figures which they say is coming out tomorrow morning. Alden and Maine's magic continues to be a formula that everyone's still embracing and I hope the whole AlDub Nation would continue to support them this MMFF. They're counting on you guys!

Here's a video excerpt of the "My Bebelove #KiligPaMore" blogcon.

My Bebelove Blogcon with Alden Richards and... by kumagcow

This film shows today until next month so make sure you get to watch it with the whole family! Fall in love all over again with Alden and Maine plus Bossing Vic and Aiai! This is under OctoArts Films and APT Entertainment! Unfortunately Maine couldn't be interviewed on this day because she was caught in traffic and was coming from a remote location in Rizal after their Eat Bulaga location shoot!

MMFF: Si Agimat, Si Enteng Kabisote at Si Ako!

Saturday, December 22, 2012

I was a little disappointed that I didn't get to see Juday and Senator Bong Revilla but who wouldn't be happy seeing Bossing himself Vic Sotto a few nights ago during the blogcon for the movie Si Agimat, Si Enteng Kabisote at Si Ako at the classy Annabel's restaurant in Tomas Morato.

Without much questions about other pressing matters, I was so nervous asking some of the first ones thrown to him because yeah I do get seldom starstruck. The movie he said was going to be bigger and greater than ever because the float alone would cost them a million pesos so just imagine how much more they spent for the making of this movie.

Bossing Vic didn't have any problems with billing nor coordinating with Bong Revilla or Judy Ann Santos Agoncillo because from the very first day of negotiations it was more of like a gentleman's agreement. They didn't have any problems with the crew either because from the director alone they were confident that they'll do a great job. He's also happy that Raiza is joining them in this movie because she was so happy being with them using her very own artist's chair. They were happy to see her enjoy her time while filming and proud for her since she did a great job doing it.

Bossing Vic says this film was intended to be shown for the whole family and they were glad it was rated G by MTRCB. This is another reason to go out on theaters this Christmas. Make sure you watch it on December 25 and have tons of fun, adventure, comedy and a little drama that's got a touch of realness to it. There's also an environmental message that you'll learn about after you see this on screen. It's directed by Tony Y. Reyes and OctoArts Films, MZet Television, APT Entertainment, Imus Productions and GMA Films. Make sure you watch it!
