Shaina Magdayao’s Organized Chicas Does More COLORS!

Friday, December 16, 2022

During the pandemic, Shaina Magdayao launched lifestyle brand Organized Chicas who's products mostly was white canvas Totes, Bags and organizers. It did really good and she was so happy how her clients, and fans were able to enjoy the wide range of products that they have despite the threats of the pandemic.

Summer will soon be here and people are clamoring for more variety, so what better way to do it buy by launching a new collection called Colore (that's got more ruffles, ribbons and bows).

Shaina says "I didn't know how long I was in the industry, but 25 years is really a long time. It's so nice to celebrate it with people you love in the industry. It's a different kind of fulfillment especially this year, and it's like a birthday wish come true. Going back in ASAP also was just perfect timing, it was an extension of my celebration, it's been 25 years that people are supporting me and I wouldn't be here without Star Magic. I am thankful for the people who really took care of us. I feel it was just perfect to go back in ASAP, they saw me lost weight, I needed to do something about my hypothyroidism and focused on being an actress. I didn't feel the loss, I feel what I lost when I got on stage and danced again. I was wondering if I could do things again, I asked myself a couple of times. I'm aging, when I was younger I could juggle things, but I'm 33, being fit enough was something I worry about. It was a leap of faith. I sometimes doubt myself but I get a lot of support from people around me. I didn't train in dance, but experience was my teacher. I've been trying to run away from it in the past, but this is my life."

She now has accessories, jewelry (Perola Collection) and slip ons

She adds "Yes I'm wearing our accessories, it's been a goal to support local businesses. The people I work with are mostly women, I put this up with my childhood friend, who's now pro makeup artist. I asked her if she wanted to look for a gig, so we started with bags made in Bulacan. I didn't expect how it grew overnight. Now people are asking for more, so we made clothes from Pampanga, also Footwear made in Marikina. Those little things we do have grown because I believe we have good intentions. Here we are, we've got a brand that not just weathered the pandemic, but a brand that is good commercially now. We do quality control, durability tests, doesn't have to be expensive. My partner is also OC, so she does a lot in quality control. We are helping a lot of people and made this a business too. I don't know if our clientele wants it personalized, but I think it gives more value to it."

They also now have a more feminine looking bag styles with their Frill Collection. This was done to match the different personalities of their clientele. She thinks about naming the products, the design, and her business partner is someone she trusts, who knows her and takes care of quality control. They really align business wise. She has work, she has acting jobs, and this business has really grown over the years.

The business is also helping communities from Marikina, Pampanga, Bulacan so if you are buying from them, you are also helping women from these provinces and cities. If you want to get one, visit their official IG account @organizedchicas, their Facebook page facebook.com/organizedchicas. You can also purchase them on Shopee at https://shopee.ph/theorganizedchicas.

Prices range from 350 to 1250, so very affordable! Go get them now!

Tidy Up with Organized Chicas Lifestyle

Tuesday, July 20, 2021

Tidy bags, tidy life - and staying stylish is a plus. A new brand called Organized Chicas Lifestyle is Shaina Magdayao's first venture into retail together with her life long friend Nikki Medina. Her aesthetic, was simple clean lines, mostly fancied things like cotton or linen. They made a line of bags and accessories with a purpose of organizing your essentials to remain clutter free, practical, simple and stylish. She felt during this time, it is paramount to have things that have fabric sewn strong, washable, absorbent but still carries a certain chic that people would certainly appreciate.

We talked to her while she was in The Farm at San Benito last week, she says "In the middle of pandemic, we thought of helping people, my partner and I are admittedly OC and when we started taping for Probinsyano we had to fix our own things. When it was all organized, I thought why not get this off the market and bring opportunities to the people who create these products. My blazer and tops are all Organized Chicas, all made of canvass, cotton, linen, not just bags now, but even clothes. I'm into classic but quality pieces, we made our own brand. This business has always been a dream and we've been very grateful for the support of everyone even in the middle of the pandemic. You need something practical, sustainable, thing that you can re-wash but go and use again. I'm grateful that my partner does really good quality control, the stitching, things like that always have been checked before we approve the product. The day to day management is difficult because I'm also taping episodes, but I'm grateful that this business is growing and is expanding. With God's grace we're still here. This is all about functionality, before we started, are the bags that I personally use in taping. The pockets outside, it can fit face shields, I always wanted things to be tidy and together with the bag, we also have inserts/organizers, it's our way to make sure you too can have that convenience. Very practical, so we didn't have much challenges in making these products. Nikki and I have been friends since high school, she's a professional makeup artist and we're kinda in the same business. We didn't see this coming that we would eventually become business partners, she's very hands on and I'm doing marketing for it. We complement each other and I guess it is our strengths. We're blessed that everything has been smooth sailing. We're being given something exciting, I hope we get to see this grow even more in the next few months. Even before we became business partners, having her around was like having people that I can trust. It's an advantage that we decide on things, and she's not just a partner, she's my friend."

Shaina then showed us a few pieces from their collection. They also sent us samples so we could see how the product looks like in real life. (Follow my stories @kumagcow on IG). Judging from the looks of it, the fabric is made of thicker material, but overall, it still feels that you can carry it around and never feel hot when it touches your skin. It's stitching is commendable, someone placed a real value on quality control and I didn't even see a fiber stick out on all corners.

To budding entrepreneurs, Shaina reiterates "You have to be hands on.  With whatever that you're doing, you always have to remember to do what you love. Quality wise, I know we've got the best products compared to what's out there in the market. I personally used this and initially I just had a couple pieces customized with my initials, it has become instrumental on how I got into this business. I had to adjust my lifestyle because of the pandemic, I don't need the expensive ones because this can be washed easily and keep us safe. I felt that I had to open up myself more because this is how I am, I developed my sense of style, I'm not trendy, I choose things that are right and feel good. With my sisters business, I saw how you have to really manage it, do marketing, because we know showbiz isn't really forever, so you have to make sure you're wise with my investments. So far, I think I'm doing good."

She also had future plans and some answered wishes from current customers. Shaina says "We all started with all original canvass, but people have been requesting for colors and starting today we're offering black, army green, and perhaps blue ones after this launch. We're also launching clothes soon, so stay tuned for that!"

If you want to see what Organized Chicas Lifestyle has to offer, follow their IG account @organizedchicas and order through there. This is a cause that will help a lot of people. Stay chic!

Save on Tigernu Anti-Theft Laptop Bags at Shopee

Sunday, November 29, 2020

I've been a bag fanatic, so seeing Tigernu on Shopee has been a daily struggle (for shopaholics like me). I've had one in the past, and it has continued to be seen on my Shopee recommendations even until now. They've mastered the art of protecting valuables, documents, tablets, laptops and even RFID's. That alone is quite a feat because you don't just get this off the rack in malls. Most of the time, they also cost an arm and a leg just so you could get those features. This afternoon, I was startled with this bag I've seen in the Tigernu official shop in the Shopee app.

This is the Tigernu T-B3911 Anti-Theft Laptop Bag. It measures around 15.6 inches and has a lock with it. They made this with an anti theft zipper which is harder to forcibly open if someone attempts to do so. It's easy to pull it along the opening direction when unzipping so it's quite nice. The material is very light, less than a kilogram for this bag and it utilizes RFID blocking so those portable scanners that thieves use won't be able to get your information. This has a very minimalist look, a sturdy strap, and quite splash proof if it rained a little outdoors. You won't be worrying about things getting wet. It's also very affordable and you can ask a lot of people who swear by its durability. I know of so many people who use this on a daily basis, it's very durable and you don't have to shell out much if you want to own one now.

You can check the official Tigernu Shopee store here!

https://shopee.ph/tigernuphilippines

You can also go and check out this particular bag if you find it nice

Good thing is, they're even doing a huge discount on these at the Shopee mall. If you haven't downloaded the app, this might be the right time to do so because of the upcoming sale happening this 12.12 and Tigernu already got their prices down this early. Aside from that, you can earn coins, free delivery perks and vouchers so you can further take the price lower, you get to save a lot with that. You can download it off Google Play or the App Store and take advantage of it while it's on sale.

Tigernu has always done a remarkable job with these highly secured bags, you should read the sterling reviews on the Shopee app!

Jansport Way Out Waistpack On Sale at Shopee 11.11

Wednesday, November 11, 2020

I don't like fanny packs, let's get that out there because I don't like things that mean to actually store stuff but never does. I need a bigger one especially these days when I need to do errands and I'm glad I found one in Jansport. They call it a Jansport Way Out Waistpack available on the Jansport Official Store in the Shopee app.

https://shopee.ph/product/104227810/5851490932?smtt=0.2158178-1604566915.9

I'm sure I'm not the only one who has owned a Jansport bag all these years. It's a bit pricey but the quality is unquestionable. I personally bought one that lasted my whole college years (5 years for Engineering) and it's still in good shape even after all that daily abuse, and the designs are absolutely cray!

This one is gonna be something that I would use for going to and from errands this pandemic. It can handle masks, wallets, phones which I need to have while riding a bike. What's even better is that they are offering this now for only Php 1494 from the previous price of Php 2490. They will offer this at an even crazier price of Php 1370 during the Shopee 11.11 Big Christmas Sale.

The material is nice and tough, larger than those weird trendy fanny packs that doesn't do anything. Best of all, I know this will last for years because it is a Jansport. Material is made of mesh and soft lined pockets. The zippers are tough and premium, and the straps are comfy, I like how it fits me.

Go download the Shopee app now and see why millions of Filipinos are using it for their online shopping needs. Use a voucher to save and use free shipping too while you wait at the comforts of your home. It's available on Google Play, you're interested of course so go get it!

I'm enjoying the bag today!

Alex Gonzaga Launches Bag Line with Secosana

Monday, November 25, 2019

It's an early event today as we rushed to Privato Hotel in Shaw. Secosana finally launched their collab with Vlog maven Alex Gonzaga. The well loved sister of Toni Gonzaga and daughter of Mommy Pinti had been working for months to design and conceptualize her collection. She has her own aesthetic, own identity and what better way to show that but by making her own set of bags.

Alex says "It's been 6 months since we started all these. I am so happy they turned into reality. I wanted bags but didn't know their brands, so in this collab I wanted it vintage and stylish, they gave me design freedom so I got to do this with them. For Mommy Pinti she could use a paper bag, but I would recommend she use our biggest one since she likes to carry a lot of stuff."

She adds "I am classic all the way, I love the colors which don't go out of trend. You can pair it with anything. I like the light ones, neutral colors, it can still be for all ages. When they presented it to me, I already liked it because of their craftsmanship and time spent making these bags. I didn't vlog about this because it was all in the bag, I guess there are trade secrets, and people generally don't cara about it (she kids) we only showed the final look. If you wanna see the journey, you can see it on Secosana's Facebook page.My personal favorite is the mint green bag."

The bags will be put up on sale for one whole week at secosana.com.ph. Then it will be sold in their stores nationwide. Honestly, they look pretty good. I'd be getting one for my Mom.

McJim is Indeed World Class

Friday, April 27, 2018

You've never seen McJim this way. The popular Filipino leather goods brand has been imposing itself in the lifestyle accessories market utilizing local crafted products while looking world class, I can't say I'm surprised.

I have personally used leather bags, wallets, belts in the past and true enough, they have lasted years for me. The secret I think is the classic design, things that do not age or go out of style even if it's not in season. It's things that still match your wardrobe even if you wear something funky, something crazy, sexy, cool or classy. It's the ability to look good regardless of your mood swings, because it can stand on it's own.

McJim leather belts on the other hand comes with brown, modern black and reversible buckles, so you don't even have to make an effort to wear similar clothing, no matchy matchy themes because it can adapt to your style no matter how much you change tops or bottoms throughout the day.

I recently also changed wallets and even if I paid a little less than branded ones, I know my black McJim wallet would last a long time. In the looks department, I know I'm not shortchanged at all becaus I've always known that the Filipino brand McJim has always been world class.

Didn't you feel that when you had one? I'm sure you do!

The Coolness of McJim’s Classic Leather Bags

Tuesday, November 28, 2017

I've been dreading to talk about this for a long time because I think this should be a staple, and shouldn't be shunned by Filipino men. Part of McJim's latest campaign which was shot entirely in Montreal, Canada are these classic leather bags. In these days they are fondly called Man Bags, because of obvious reasons but how many guys really carry one? Sadly, not a lot, but what they don't see is the potential of this accessory to actually be a staple rather than the crippling knapsacks that don't fit special occassions where men want to look fresh and stylish.

These fine bags from McJim are special, handcrafted pieces that would make you, the modern Filipino man more confident, upscale, and very stylish without really compromising function because these bags actually can house your gadgets too. From your office files, your cameras, phones and tablets, they wouldn't be out of place in these bags because they're really made for that function. The sturdiness of leather and the craftmanship that went into this would make sure you have ample amount of support if you have these inside. There's no doubt about that.

You can also have these pieces in casual events, formal ones, even the office and it wouldn't actually feel out of place because McJim made sure the deisgns would actually fit your lifestyle even if you are relaxed, presenting at work, or doing romantic stuff with your loved one. It's also got simple lines, matches your outfit and is available in different colors. I guess it's about time to go to McJim branches nationwide and get these ones as soon as the mall opens.

I'm using one right now and as long as you take care of the leather and use it often, you won't have problems at all. It's manly, smells good, looks good at any angle too. Visit their Facebook page today to know more about it.

That easy.

The URGe: Urban Rugged Gear

Tuesday, February 28, 2017

Walked to Makati this afternoon to check out URGE, a monicker for Urban Rugged Gear which is a new lifestyle store at Greenbelt 1's 2nd floor. Honestly, this is my first time to hear about the brand but I'm glad they're going this direction as they are bringing international brands to Philippine shores. These are premium ones and their two stores (there's one in Greenhills too!) would br great starting points to bring style and convenience to modern men and women who are active, or have diverse lifestyles.

Yurbuds, a brand made and designed by Triathletes have several earphones both wired and wireless that securely fit in your ears, comfortable, sweatproof and allow ambient sound so you can still hear people in the road so you don't get into accidents. Making aware of your sorroundings can keep you safe, that's good.

FRÉ iPhone cases are also there. If you just bought one (yes your iPhone 7 needs protection) then you should consider something that would completely cover it from everyday elements, like dust, water splash, and not too heavy on your gadget. They've got it taken cared of.

This is Go Pro Hero 5, they've got that too. For adventure seekers who want to keep their memories on full HD video and photos, this is a necessity. It's surprisingly clear, I'm using one right now and it's capacity to catch my humiliating swims and beachcapades remain to be my favorite past time. Including editing them out on Youtube of course haha!

Otterbox needs no introduction. It's the best in protective cases and mobile power solutions and URGE is one of their original distributors. It's more convenient to see them in one place, and this is in the heart of Makati so how can you not drop by the shop.

Tons of things like Bang & Olfusen Play (which you can bring outdoors for small parties), Goal Zero, Lifeproof, Watershot, Mission Workshop (makes awesome bags) and Ethnotek (makes bags wuth fabric from different tribes of different countries) are all there. They are all in one place and if you were probably thinking of what to get for travel or leisure, this lifestyle store must be it.

Visit them today at 2nd Floor of Greenhills Shopping Center's Theater Mall or at the 2nd Floor of Greenbelt 1. Take your shopping chores here sometimes, it's healthy.

Great Man Bags at URBAN TRAVELLER & CO.

Wednesday, December 21, 2016

It's been a journey, to mostly find an apt place to find a classy, luxurious but very useful man bags in the Philippines. It's a young concept, to think of a "carry" culture in Southeast Asia, but it is happening. To even think that it's manly to call it a "man" bag must have raised the eyebrows of a lot people, but it all comes to function, to reliability, priorities, and of course looking good. Anybody in their right mind shouldn't always call it hipster, but you're free to call it that. Then when we visited a store called URBAN TRAVELLER & CO. at the 3rd Floor of Greenbelt 5 a few days ago, I just felt I was in man bag heaven!

This is their pop up store and they've got another one in Power Plant Mall in Rockwell. You might think it's a little intimidating, but really it's a one stop shop for all things you'll love as a man, or for your man. Now I know it's the holidays and if you haven't thought of a gift for a guy friend, a loved one or relative, this place will not only give you the answers, but may just confuse you because there's a LOT of them here! It's already curated, so you're assured that the only things that are inside the show are already hand picked items that has passed the standards of the Urban Traveller Co. management, who themselves have been using these products. Designer brands from all around the world, it was bound to be good and I took the liberty of taking photos of some of the best!

Now I beg your pardon for not taking mental notes of the bag manufacturer, but I think this is from Venque. It's a travel and accessories brand from Toronto, Canada. What I like mostly from this bag is that it's not your run of the mill knapsack. It's different in construction and feels like a handy duffle/duffel bag made of strong fabric. Now all you need to do is carry this around with a huge beard, a beanie and perhaps some really cool leather boots.

Now this one is a little special. It's from a brand called AKABA, a bag made in the Philippines. Nope, you're not seeing things. I actually have come across them several times in blogging events and they've been really good at making people know about the communities they help. If you notice the flaps on this one, they're made of indigenous fabric made by natives of Mindoro. They also do it in different parts of the Philippines like the ones in the north, even down south in Mindanao. Think of the lives you help improve just by patronizing this one eh? Plus it's a great heritage rucksack made of quality leather and fabric.
