Meet The Newest PPOP Girl Group in Town: VVINK

Friday, July 11, 2025

After covering one of the biggest PPOP collabs just a few days ago, here we go drowning ourselves in PPOP content with the arrival of a new female group called VVINK through their debut showcase held today at the HYPE club in Quezon City.

While they've already released songs in the past, that was their pre-debut which mostly showcased their individual talents. This time, they will be taking a huge leap with their new single TULALA under their label FlipMusic.

They took the risk to do this so their listeners would be able to get to know them at their best. The group is composed of their leader Angelika, main vocalist Jean, main rapper Ayaka, main dancer Odri and the all rounder Mariel. This new song has a very dreamy vibe, quite upbeat, while trying to express the feeling of one's first love. This is just the first of a plethora of songs they plan to release in the next few months which will be included in the album expected to be done til the 2nd quarter of 2026.

These ladies come from different places, but were all hand picked by their COO Jumbo Belen and CEO Jeli Mateo to become a part of this group. Unconventional as it may have seem to be launched like this, they were able to showcase their individual voices and genre. They also feel that with the training they went through, that it was all worth it. Here's the press conference in full on video:

Later in the day, they gave us a glimpse of their upcoming singles (to be launched this year til the 2nd quarter) and by the looks of it, they absolutely killed it on stage. The titles include "Tatlong Hiling", "Baduy", "Kailan Aamin", "Ikaw Lang Ang Kulang", and "Tulog Pa Si Ganda". Aside from being singers, some of them are talented songwriters and are pro choreographers. They contribute what they can for VVINK.

I think I loved what I saw today, and if you're raring to support these girls, make sure to follow their social channels by looking of VVINK PH on FB, IG and others, become VVINKies as they start their journey to conquer the world!

LIZZIE AGUINALDO Releases Debut Single "Baka Pwede Na" Under Star Music

Saturday, June 03, 2023

She's just starting but everything seems to be falling into place, that's how I see Lizzie Aguinaldo. She just recently released her debut single "Baka Pwede Na" composed by multi awarded songwriter and director Joven Tan. This is under Star Music.

Lizzie says "I hope this song will be something that people would play whenever they feel giddy, in love, or even when they remember that special someone in their life, particularly those in my generation. I love how  simple Direk Joven Tan made this song, and I hope people feel the whole vibe of my first single."

She adds "I've been dreaming of becoming a singer ever since I was 8, and recording "Baka Pwede Na" and the whole experience is unbelievable! It's a mix of being nervous and excited, I was already thinking of having this be a movie soundtrack. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to do this now! My school fully supported me, I was shocked they put up a billboard on our school, and I was so happy to see that. I must say, even though I don't have experience in relationships, I think I made the connection with the crushes I had in the past. It was a nice process because Direk Joven made the song so fast, I think we only took 2 weeks to record it. I do write songs, but haven't had the chance to release that. I do have formal training, I actually have my voice coach here right now. I get inspired with Taylor Swift songs, even OPM bands, I love listening to them as well. I love Zack Tabudlo and his songs, I hope to get to work with them soon."

Direk Joven Tan says "Lizzie already had a huge range when we first met, and I'm quite sure she'll hone this even more in due time, it'll be easy to work and develop which is why when they recommended her to me, I immediately said yes and worked with her."

"Baka Pwede Na" is available on streaming platforms now so make sure to download or stream it and see why there's so much promise for the young CaviteƱa. Just search for Lizzie Aguinaldo on Spotify!

Congratulations Lizzie! Can't wait to see you appear in shows here and around the globe! By the way, the event was supported by Lucky Prince Homes which Lizzie Aguinaldo is also an endorser of.

JILLIAN WARD Celebrates 18th Birthday

Monday, February 27, 2023

Did you ever imagine that Jillian Ward would become like this? The Kapuso star, vlogger, actress just turned 18 this February 23 and we participated in her debut last February 25 at the COVE in Okada Manila. Jillian's family, celebrity friends, and people who have been part of Jillian's showbiz journey were invited, almost 700 people, as she wished for them to have a good time during this event. This is her way of thanking everyone, in a not so formal uptight way, and certainly, we were all just at awe at how Jillian is blossoming into the fine woman she is now.

Do you remember Trudis Liit? Her child star days must have stuck into people's minds, but recently she did really good reprising the role of Analyn in hit show "Abot Kamay Na Pangarap". Her fellow cast members were all in attendance and some became part of the program too. Here's a few of the scenes that happened during Jillian's 18th Birthday Celebration!

Thank you so much to Sparkle, to Jillian's Mom, her Dad and Jillian for having us on her special day! We really had so much fun! Congratulations on your upcoming shows, and perhaps appearances in noontime shows because she really did good in singing and dancing during this event. She rightfully deserves to showcase that to an even newer audience!

Sanya Lopez was there!

Yen and Chuckie Dreyfus
GMA's Senior handlers and News personalities, all personal friends of Jillian

18 Shots, showbiz and non showbiz friends of Jillian gave her a toast!

Jillian also took time to thank everyone who came to the occasion.

Happy birthday Jillian! Hope this is the start of something big for you!

Gabbi Garcia Releases Debut Single "All I Need"

Tuesday, October 24, 2017

She struck gold a couple months back and she's not letting go of opportunities coming her way. Yes it's Gabbi Garcia and she's now taking a shot at recording with this debut single called "All I Need" which she also self produced. It's about overcoming personal struggles and how to ge through it. She's had a hand in all the elements of this song which she also worked with her friends, which is more of a passion project more than anything else.

She also has 2 magazine covers this last quarter. For her Inside Showbiz cover she says "It was a very light shoot and I talked about the process of making music. It's available at the FLIP100 app under mega." For the MEGA shoot she adds "It was my first time there, it was a dream for me. We also made a fashion film for One Mega Group where my cover was taken at the French Riviera. It's my first Mega Style cover, while the fashion film will be released over October ends.

"This first single, I really enjoyed doing this and I can't believe how warm people have been receiving this because it's number 3 now on the iTunes Philippines chart. I wrote it with Christian Bautista and he really pushed me to make my own songs. It's personal, it's always like that, Christian and I did this after a short event in Eat Bulaga, and he asked me to create one because he knew this was my first love. We started by writing the lyrics, it was by impulse and did this in acoustic. This is a bit RnB that's chill, perfect for the generation now. My sister also sings and we both have courses related to it in school, so that's one of the inspirations. When I thought I was forgetting myself, that's what I wanted to write about. I wasn't going through anything in particular, I am currently writing an EP first then an album. I would love to collaborste with people."

With Ruru "I have seen his photos, you mean his body? Yes I am so proud of seeing his development, he's worked so hard for his body, imagine how payatot he was back in the day and now look at him, if it provides more confidence, I will support him 100%. He congratulated me last night when my music came out and I know he's proud of me too, he knows I have worked so hard for this."

Gabbi adds "We chose Hong Kong because it has that grip, those neon lights, it's different so we did it there. It's created by a team, it's my friends, really young artists at Limitless Productions with Khalil Ramos. The idea for the story was just a collab and they've done really good things in the past which won awards already and I'm confident about these people. They're really good."

Thank you also to Acne Care, Pantene and Gabbi Garcia's sponsors for giving us stuff for personal care. She's Asia's Pantene girl remember? :)

Gabbi Garcia's single All I Need is available in iTunes, Deezer, Apple Music and all digital stores. Watch out for her Mega Style and Scout mag covers this November too.

She's striking while the iron is hot!

"The Debutantes" Starring Regal's IT Girls

Saturday, September 23, 2017

This October seems to be a nice month to be frightened. This is why Regal Films is not holding back a few days before Holloween in this funny horror film called THE DEBUTANTES. It stars current IT GIRLS Sue Ramirez, Miles Ocampo, Michelle Vito, Jane De Leon, Channel Morales and hunky Paolo Gumabao. If you see, it's stars are topbilled by real millenials and in a sense will revolve around Kate (played by Sue) who is just like any school girl, wanting to make friends and belong to a group.

That doesn't seem to work so only a few got in her groove and started to bully her silly all throughout the movie. Once she had a nightmare, she warned them about the bad things that happened but they didn't listen. They suddenly have mishaps along the way, is this karma? Oh no!

During the blogcon they shared their own stories of bullying because aside from the fact that it is the theme of this film, they all had their share of bullying too. Miles, Michelle and Jane had their projects destroyed by jealous classmates, they also said mean things about them physically. Their advise is to ignore them because bullying really happense because there are insecurities, which also needs an audience so they could look good by making you feel bad.

Miles added "I am still studying in UP but I am doing something big, but I'm not in a hurry really. I am not here for the fame, but for the longevity, because I am quite contented with the projects I have today. This is also my first time in Regal and I am so glad to have been able to do this because I was really excited about it during the story con."

Prime Cruz added "We have graphics, but we are doing a different treatment on this one, more neon lights, bright scenes and not necessarily like Manananggal my previous film. It's younger looking as this suits the millenials and we like to present it that way."

Jane quipped "I like this because it is my first horror film, and I get to experience how it is to be a mean girl, something that I don't like in real life."

Paolo Gumabao says "I spent a long time  in Taiwan studying but got bullied there because I was Filipino, from gradeschool to highschool it was difficult. They all laughed at me when I told them that my dream was to be a movie star, and look at me now! This age is when we are about to get matured, formation, and you get to be more serious about love."

The film will show on October 4, 2017 and if you're not doing anything that day, might as well watch it and see what a bunch of millenials could do. This is done by Idea First Company and produced Regal Films.

Your Next Wedding, Debut and Events Destination: Eugenio Lopez Center in Antipolo

Wednesday, May 24, 2017

We journeyed to the East of Metro Manila today and got ourselves immersed in a great sprawling property managed by First Philippine Realty Corporation. The Eugenio Lopez Center was initially an unfinished retirement home of Don Eugenio Lopez built way back in the 60's but was stopped during the Martial Law years when Eugenio Jr. (Geny) got imprisoned and they had to fled to the US to avoid persecution.

This place has a lot of history and there were talks on what to actually do with it when they came back in 1986. The ELC was finished after a couple of years after and has hosted tons of events of corporations under the Lopez Group of Companies. Since then, they held several trainings, weddings, banquets and has been managed and operated by 10-50 people, depending on the requirements of staff. Today, they seem to be opening up their doors for more functions even if they don't belong to affiliated corporations, a thing that I find would be good because this property definitely needs to be seen by the public.

This is the Eugenio Lopez Center Building, situated at the top of a hill, this two floor events center can host a party for around 200-250 people. They can accomodate catering services from outside and can recommend ones that already know the property.

It's got a 180 degree view overlooking Makati, BGC, Ortigas and Quezon City which you'll absolutely love.

They have theee levels and it houses about 38 rooms where guests can stay overnight. This Executive Room costs Php 5,500 per night and you can add more per person if you are expecting more people to be with you during your trip.

The De Luxe room can fit 2 people, and costs Php 4,400. It's got a veranda where you can also have that same view of the city. They are fully booked most of the time so make sure you call ahead if you need to stay.

This is only one room and can entertain people with their own receiving area which opens up to a veranda too. This is called the Premier Suite and costs Php 8,500. They can have this fit 5 people if necessary, just let them know beforehand. There is also a door connecting to another De Luxe Room which you can book separately if you are too clingy.

They have 3 lecture rooms available which can accomodate 50 people each, you can also have this combined for a total of 150.

They also have a mini theater which can seat around 60-70 people, which is perfect for small screenings or symposiums.

If you wanna have it more private, they have 4 separate Meeting Rooms to do your business in, well not that kond of business. This costs Php 7,500 which can fit about 10-20 people.

I don't even have to tell you how majestic this is. Just beyond those trees is the same view of Ortigas, Makati and BGC so you're pretty much going to see that while you're swimming. This is a perfect way to relax from the busy city. It's free for guests and your lovely kids. Shall we take a dip?

They also have a Gym and Activity area, a working spa, Massage Room, Sauna and Steam Room. If you would like to get wed here, just bring your own priest and let him officiate the wedding right here while looking at the spectacular view of the city. You can park your helicopter at the helipad if you're that rich too.

Now I know Antipolo must have been not in your go to places if you want a short vacation, but think about the possibilities and things you can do while in this place. They've almost got everything in this 10 hectare property and by the looks of it, it holds a LOT of promise. Where else can you see Batangas and Pampanga on a clear day? So if you're planning for debuts, weddings, your next corporate activity, just go give them a call because it's thay easy. For corporate arrangements, please call 6360581 or 4100951 to 53 local 130. If you want to reserve a room, call 6362886 and they can get you connected right away. Oh and if it's that crazy in Edsa, a chopper would do from the airport, for a fee of course.

You may visit their website at www.elcenter.com.ph and follow their Facebook page at Facebook.com/EugenioLopezCenterofficialpage and their IG account @eugeniolopez.center.

As for me, I'm so ready for Antipolo!
