What is Sandara Park's Secret to Looking This Good?
Wednesday, January 03, 2024

Ever wondered how KPOP Icon Sandara Park always looks fresh and radiant? It's a mystery, but for Sandara it's actually quite simple to look this good and feel great, all at 39 years old!
Sandy is known all over Korea as someone who enjoys small portions. She takes time to enjoy every bite, and this makes it possible to enjoy even more dishes without getting full or gain weight. Contrary to purists, she actually enjoys beer but opts for those that are low calorie instead. Those smart choices actually pay off.
Dara also works out. If you remember, she really enjoys the dance routines they had in 2NE1 because it was fast and great for partying. YG also had them in different cardio workouts and boxing too. She still dances quite a lot on her spare time and even now that she's actively promoting her single FESTIVAL. Even if she doesn't eat breakfast, she does her morning workouts with a personal trainer and stays energetic. She even does a whopping 400 crunches before she sleeps, which is amazing!
Sandara also knows how important it is to pamper her skin. She does a lot to keep it hydrated and moisturized all the time. It's one of the reasons she doesn't look a day old over her "In or Out" days and still stays happy.
We sit and wonder how she never gets wrinkles and fine lines at this day and age!

BILIB: Meet The Newest PPOP Boy Group from AQ Prime Music
Monday, July 10, 2023
Looks like AQ Prime Music is getting their hands wet in the PPOP scene with the newest and hottest boy group called BILIB. We met them at the recent media launch in Quezon City. Members Zio, Carlo, Rafael, RC, Yukito, Jmac and Clyde had us glued to our seat with their performance on stage. They're quite spirited dancers and no doubt, their vocals are quite effective. First impressions: they actually feel and look expensive and perhaps can battle existing PPOP boy groups in the entertainment scene today, but I think they've got something else in mind. They'd rather become part of the movement that would raise the PPOP scene we have internationally. Tall order, but it was refreshing to hear that from these boys and their management as much of them have been inspired by the work of successful group SB19.
To give us a taste of what they offer, they performed their debut single "Kabanata"
@kumagcow Performing live for you is newest PPOP boy group BILIB with their debut single called #KABANATA #ppoprise #ppop #EntertainmentPH #tiktokshowbizreporter
The group has been training for almost 2 years and as talked about during the event, it wasn't an easy thing to do especially because they had 7 individuals with different personalities that had to work together. Living under one roof to practice everyday got to where they are in terms of skills, but it also got them to grow even closer as friends, even as brothers today.
Here's our interview with BILIB that evening, please enjoy!
BILIB certainly has a lot to offer. Their recent music video was also amazing, one could say it has been really the handy work of several creatives to make sure they put out something good for the Filipinos and international audience that they plan to showcase this to. In the coming weeks, they also plan to put out the name of their fandom but wanted their fans to become part of the process of choosing it.
That tells a lot about the process that these guys go through in making music, how to execute their plans for fashion, style and visuals (because they've been so good at it!). I hope they would be able to continue what they've shown us in the event in the upcoming performances they plan to do (I heard several guestings and a concert with other PPOP artists are in the works). So if you're raring to support them, make sure you follow AQ Prime Music's assets because BILIB is just starting. Imagine what they're going to be in the coming months, years, in their aim to inspire YOU with their dance and music!
Congratulations boys! You're doing amazing!
CALISTA Undergoes Tough KPOP Dance Training for New Single
Thursday, August 25, 2022
After having a very successful "VAX TO NORMAL" Concert a few months ago, Calista is relentless in making sure they're taking their skill game seriously as they undergo a full blown KPOP Dance training from world renowned KPOP choreographers Park Ji Yeon and Lee Eun Kyung.
The two have been spending hours upon hours training Anne, Dain, Laiza, Elle, Denise and Olive new choreography for their 2nd single which will be coming out soon. What was evident was the difference between what they've been dishing out in the past (which according to the choreographers was explosive and powerful). The KPOP style they're teaching CALISTA this time is going to be cute, feminine, sultry and playful. This surely will be something quite different to present to A-listas who have been supporting them since day 1. We got to see them in a press conference they held at the Tyronne Escalante Artist Management offices in Quezon City, and sure enough, we got to talk with them about the things they went through to make this possible. Head honcho Tyronne Escalante says "We listened to A-listas, PPOP, iPOP fans and asked about who would be the perfect fit to teach them new skills, and I think we've got the right people to do it."
Here's part of the press conference which happened last Saturday.
CALISTA admitted it was really hard for both parties in the beginning because the language barrier. Good thing is, they have watched so many KDrama shows and understood some of the words they uttered during the training. Then they had us see a part of the things they've been working on for the second single of CALISTA called "Don't Have Time" composed by Tera and produced by Marcus Davis who also did their debut single "Race Car".
To give you an idea, Lee Eun Kyung and Park Ji Yeon has worked with different artists and groups like Aster, ERICA, WTF Den Team, Seoul Land, the MBC Show Musical Fantasy, Hwang JinLea, Elec Cooke, artists Yeon-ja Seojin Park, Ri Chang Wook and even one of our faves 2NE1. With regards to their performance after our press conference, let me just say they really look and felt different with the KPOP moves they learned from these talented ladies. The girls of CALISTA also promised they'll make sure that even after the training, they'll be mixing in some of the PPOP moves that CALISTA is known for so it wouldn't be entirely foreign, some of that Filipino flavor everyone is looking for.
Congratulations to CALISTA, their producer Merlion Events Production Inc. and Tyronne Escalante Artist Management, people will love this new look, flavor and skills you've instilled with the girls. A-listas should be ready for this!
BINI and BGYO Hints International Gigs
Monday, August 30, 2021
Direk Lauren says "When they step on the world stage every Filipino will be proud of them. BINI and BGYO are really working hard, they're soldiers and they're part of Filipino youth that will be big, soon! We already have teasers for singles, it will be included on a new album. BGYO is going to have their The Baddest album out soon, new music videos, major events, trips abroad, concerts together as sibling crews and solo ones once things get better soon. They have invitations already to do it, hopefully sans restrictions it will happen."
First international gig? Oh, these guys and gals are already packing their bags tonight (because of excitement). Direk adds "One Dream Concert of BINI and BGYO means they'll be back to back singing their songs, we'll see their stamina if they can do it. It's two different repertoir, probably sing around 40 songs and do collabs with other artists. BINI and BGYO are certainly ready for it." Direk Lauren also spills that they will be performing with a live band and collaborations, so that's huge!

BGYO Be The Light Debut
Wednesday, February 03, 2021
The last time I saw these guys was on stage, in Showtime. I was a bit curious who they were and how they were able to pull off such a technical driven performance. Their name? BGYO a 5 member Filipino boy group riding on the waves of up and coming artists and the whole P-POP industry. I must say, I may have not liked their styling that day, but their jaw performance, is on another level. I immediately knew after watching that song and dance number, I'm not going to be alone in asking WHO ARE THEY?
On their debut last week (January 29), I saw how these guys can sing, be on point with their moves and entertaining a whole generation of P-POP loving folks from around the world. Their training was not as easy because these guys underwent tons of workshops and sessions with trainers from South Korea and the best voice and choreography coaches in the Philippines. Not only that, because their debut event showcased Gelo, Akira, JL, Mikki and Nate's individual talents. They also showed how GOOD they look like when they perform together as BGYO which to me, looks very promising.
It was also touching to see them share their personal struggles, their stories, on how hard they have worked for this big break. Aside from the guys performing, they also heard from other artists of ABSCBN. They lauded the boys when they appeared in ASAP and other shows in the Kapamilya network. Just like me, they were astounded seeing them do things on stage and now they too are instant fans. Now I don't want to spoil things for those who have not seen the event, if you want to you still can do it.

| Their "The Light" music video is also out now on digital and YouTube so check them out today! |
How? Go watch it on February 7 this Sunday on A2Z (Free to air TV) at 4PM. Yiy can also catch it on the Kapamilya Channel and Kapamilya Online Live at around 11PM. You can also watch it via TFC and iWantTFC if you want to see it on digital. I'm telling you, they definitely have good reason to put these guys together, and if they go international, I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of girls would go gaga over them.
They're awesome!
GLOBE x Blackpink: Get Ready for the YG PALM STAGE - 2021 BLACKPINK: THE SHOW
Thursday, January 28, 2021
This is their first livestream concert prepared by YG Entertainment in partnership with YouTube Music. Fans are expected to also participate in the concert online, so if you're one, you better catch this quick! About the drone show, it was extremely nice of Globe to make sure Filipinos won't be left behind in starting the festivities as they also hosted this awesome opening act for Blinks old and new in the country on their Facebook community. For those who don't know, YG has been known for mounting jaw dropping live shows and they've dedicated much time to make this particular concert even bigger, better, while you stay at the comforts of your own home.
About the event, it was extremely nice of Globe to make sure Filipinos won't be left behind in starting the festivities as they also hosted this awesome opening act for Blinks old and new in the country on their Facebook community (we were then informed they will reschedule the drone show on a later date because of some technical difficulties). Candy Gamos hosted the show and even read some lucky BLINKS messages live. Fans also get the chance to win tickets to the first livestream show as the promo for it has been extended. All you have to do is register to the specified promos, register and get the chance to see them live online in concert. This partnership with Globe and Blackpink is just amazing! Speaking of which, they showcased the latest Globe x Blackpink commercial, they even said a piece in Filipino!
They said "We are excited to be part of the Globe family, please join us to join the reinvention revolution, choose to reinvent yourself, your goals and anything you want. Reinvent yourself with Globe. Mahal namin kayo!"
Here's the commercial!
By the way, during the stream, they also gave random BLINKS and Globe fanatics initially 20 tickets for the show. Instead, they ramped up and got 1000 The Show tickets (seen here). Now that means a lot of Blinks and Globe fans will get membership access and see the event! That's awesome!
I even joined the contest but I wasn't picked, but that's okay... I still have a lot of years to see Jisoo hahaha. Hey again, make sure you get tickets for the YG PALM STAGE - 2021 BLACKPINK: THE SHOW concert on the 31st. Go reinvent your world!
I'm pretty sure, it'll be worth it!
GLOBE Warms Hearts with #ChristmasWeLove Live Pop-Up
Monday, December 14, 2020
This year, we all experienced our ups and downs. The pandemic has made us all crazy and aware of what is happening around the world. We saw how we cared for each other, help out friends and family while we are all confined at the comfort of our homes. Globe knows how hard these days are, so they thought of something cool to do during this season. They just launched #ChristmasWeLove, a series of live digital pop-ups featuring fun activities designed to get the holiday spirit started in the Philippines. Oh yes, they were all good! This also feels like they're letting us experience Christmas even if we're all apart.
For starters, they did a Carol-oke Night with some of the greatest singers in the Philippines. They got Morissette, Darren Espanto, Gabbi Garcia and Khalil Ramos to perform. Globe's Consumer Business Head Issa Guevarra-Cabreira says “This year may be a little tough, but we at Globe are trying to make holidays fun so we can feel the Christmas spirit. With our #ChristmasWeLove Live Pop-Ups, we hope to send each other love even at the comfort of our own homes”.
This event was all done on Globe's Facebook page and viewers were all encouraged to dedicate the numerous songs they had to their special someone. They also did a Holi-Game Showcase last December 4 for MMFF as they are a huge part of why the festival was also done this year. You can actually buy tickets via GMovies and it was very easy to actually do it. They also did a Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) themed Quiz Night last December 11 with some of the entries stars, it was so fun to watch them all online. There will be a K-Pop Kristmas event on December 21 so make sure you get to watch that too on their social channels. If you want to experience #ChristmasWeLove, go and like their facebook page GlobePH because the next one is gonna be so much fun!
See you there!
