Where Do I Go Next?!

Tuesday, November 09, 2010

I have been traveling for quite a while. I love how it feels to get to know the culture and the people on the street. This goes the same with any other country I plan to visit. I will pretty soon conquer the UK and I will have my brother take short breaks with me. Since he is busy in Ireland I wouldn't be able to just pull him out on weekdays and maybe on the weekend it'll be more feasible. Do you see deer on the photo? There's a lot more where that came from and it is just a few kilometers away from my brother's house. I can always travel but there's something in my mind that bugs me if he doesn't come along with me. He needs a break too and if that requires us to do it nearby I wouldn't hesitate to do it.

I love the weekend and if ever it's going to be the shortest day I have to go out with my brother it is okay just as long as it is with him. This goes the same with my friends too. I have a lot and to tell you honestly I've been doing this for quite some time now. I am currently choosing vacation packages on line and I would love to explore more of the countryside. Have you thought of where to go next?

Loving City Breaks!

Sunday, October 17, 2010

I'm so happy when the weekend comes. I think it's because I get to take a break from work and do photography. I'm getting pretty serious about it too so I go out of town to private functions, fashion shows and a little rest and recreation. To tell you honestly I haven't gone out for a while and never went out of the city like I used to. That's why I need cheap city breaks every now and then. I guess you need to see local sights first if you haven't been there. I found out pretty late that I need to do this just like what other countries have been doing in the past decade or so.

I noticed that the landscape and culture changes if you get into another city. I wanted to study in London a couple of years ago and this was the same thing that was on my mind. They have real good places to go to and it's quite easy to get from one spot to another. I'd have to work and start over though but life is indeed a little better there. I'm still optimistic that I can go there for a vacation. Maybe if I can get in and if the time comes that ill visit my brother in Ireland; I'm surely going to drop by a couple of cities in Great Britain. That's not even far behind from my plans and I'm crossing them out on my list one by one. I'm going there but if I do I'd tour the whole country without hesitation. Ill just take pictures and tell you the tale of the good looking guy that went on his great journey to discover the sights and sounds of a glorious country. Would you do the same if you were on my shoes?! Have you gone to the best places in your part of the world?!

Guess what?!

Tuesday, September 21, 2010

I haven't slept yet obviously because I went to Cubao this morning. I got myself tickets so I'll be going out of the country again. Away from the busy bustling sound of Manila and into the abyss. I won't divulge information yet but I'll show you photos after the trip. Maybe just maybe it would be easy to pay for all of these soon. I'm still afloat but I'll think about what to do after the trip, I won't sourgrape anymore about the costs and leave it at that.

I'm not upset. It's just that I have been thinking a lot lately about taking a break or a breather. I'll probably regret doing it later but I hope I don't. Geeze is this really this big of a deal?!

I'll go on a diet so I can still fit my clothes till then. I know I can do it. I did it before so this shouldn't be a problem right?! I'm so worried about something so small.

Now that's out. I'm probably going to watch the facebook timeline so I could get some sleep. I get bored with it after a few minutes so I'm using it to my advantage hehhe. I hope this all turn out well, please pray for me hahahah! I'm not dying! =P

I need to go to the John. See yah!

Funds for a Trip!

I need money now. I just don't know where to get it. Pay day is actually 5 days away and it might be too late for me to get plane tickets since I plan to go on a tour next month. Mom and Dad need a little rest and recreation so I'm actually trying my best to get them to travel with me. I don't have that much funds right now since everything is in the bank for time deposits and stuff. I couldn't take them out (the money) anytime I want to because I signed up for that. I plan to get everything organized before this pushes through. I think it would be quite better if I get a cash advance loan first and then pay it off a couple of days after so I can get the ball rolling. Mom and Dad are excited and if I don't prepare heavily on this one I'm surely going to have a mishap. That would be unlikely to happen if I get the money I need which probably would be approved right?! That's just awesome because I really feel everything is falling into place for me!

It's been 6 years that I haven't been out of the country and I seriously need a break. If it were not for my folks needing it too I wouldn't have considered it. I need to get out more and see the world for myself. I need to stay a few kilometers away from my keyboard and check out what I can do aside from pressing them. I'll try to squeeze in some moments for my photography hobby. I would like to see other cities at night and capture them on still images. I could do this with the right amount of funds. I'm sure that loan is going to come sooner than I think it would!

Oh Canada!

Thursday, September 16, 2010

I miss my friends in Canada. I seldom talk about it because it gives me that feeling of regret not visiting it that much in the past few years. I barely took a break from work and to tell you honestly I really want to go. They often invite me over to stay at their houses and roam around the rest of the provinces and get a little acquainted with the place. This was supposed to be my second home but I never made time for it in the past. Now, I'm planning to take a few days off and get with their program. I want to see the sights and great things this country up north has. Trent Jordan Vancouver convinced me to do it. I have to call them now (friends and family) and see if I can get them to come with me and travel. I hope they file their vacation leave this early. They will probably oblige since I am the persuasive one. I have to study a little more French too so I won't alienate myself on other parts of the country. For that, we'll try to accommodate it with my busy schedules!

I know how picturesque the place is because I still got some of the photos my Aunt's and Uncle sent me when I was a kid. One word that I can use to describe it is nostalgia! I still get excited seeing the vast parks and city scenes along the bay. I'm not much of a landmark photographer but I'll surely try to whip out something good with my kit lens and see if I can stitch together 3 photos for a local magazine I wish to show my work on. I'm sure they'll like it just like my fashion shots from a few months back. Loving the place wouldn't be hard; I might even consider living there soon! Oh Canada!

When's your next trip?!

Friday, August 20, 2010

I would really want to rush out into other states when I get to the US next year. Watching the Miss Universe Preliminaries was already getting me itchy to camp out and pledge support for my bet. You may have someone in your mind too so I won't force my candidate on you. If you check out the crowd that went there you probably have an idea that it is pretty hard on the lines. Tickets may have been sold triple or double the price if this is the scene. I would really love to check out rvs for sale and stay there overnight. (Screen shot via USTREAM)

My relatives in Texas won't mind if I drive all the way down south since their rodeo days are also near. I must admit I don't like staying in someone's home if I can stay in my car, anyway it will just be a few days. I can sleep comfortably in these big vehicles and I won't mind if Mom or Dad shares with me and get the motor home instead. They travel a lot too and if I leave that for them it would be really better and comfortable. My brother can drive them though. Dad may get tired of the long ones. I stay out of the freeways too if I can when I'm on vacation because the back pains are not helping! The international driver's license isn't insurance for what it's worth. I would want to go to Nevada, Irvine and Houston soon. I've been there a couple of times already and with the business trips planned for me, this would be an awesome side trip! Wouldn't that be nice?! Ha-ha!

I'll have my cousins coming with me. How about you?! When's your next trip?!

Play Around in Memphis

Thursday, July 29, 2010

This is a sponsored guest post written by Memphis Travel on behalf of Memphis CVB. Post powered by Sponzai.

More than just the home of the blues and barbeque, Memphis gives you plenty of ways to play around, with fun things to do no matter who you are or what you like. Of course, if you’re into Elvis, rock-and-roll and mouth-watering ribs, you’ve got to check out Graceland, Sun Studios, and the Rendezvous. But Memphis has much more to offer than this holy trinity of southern culture, with enough to see, do and eat to make it the perfect location for your next long weekend getaway.

The families out there (or the wild at heart) should be sure to check out the Memphis Zoo, one of only four U.S. zoos with giant pandas. Recently ranked the #1 zoo in the U.S. by TripAdvisor.com, the Memphis Zoo lets you get up close and personal with the animal kingdom. And with the recent addition the Northwest Passage, home to Polar bears in a see-through underwater exhibit, and the zoo’s newest section, Teton Trek, kids and adults alike are certain to have a blast.

Don’t let your midtown experience stop at the zoo; the Cooper-Young and Overton Square neighborhoods are just down the street. Ask a local Memphian where to find a tasty bite to eat, great local music and ice cold beer, and they will probably direct you here. Speaking of beer … the environmentally conscious visitor can enjoy a locally brewed beer by Ghost River Brewing or walk through the natural landscape and educational facilities at the Lichterman Nature Center.

Memphis has museums for just about everything. From the Civil Rights Museum, Cotton Museum and Fire Museum in downtown to the Brooks Museum, Children’s Museum of Memphis and the Pink Palace Museum further east, the number of places to have fun while you learn are as bountiful as the barbeque restaurants. Families, friends, sports fans, history buffs, self-proclaimed food critics – Memphis has everything you need to keep everyone happy.

So when you visit Memphis, stay a few extra days. Even the locals don’t run out of things to do. And to make it easy, memphistravel.com is launching a new travel guide to help you plan your next vacation. Simply choose from a list of interests and you’ll be given a sample itinerary with lots of great ideas. You can also register for a chance to win one of twelve trip packages that include tours, gift certificates to Memphis’ favorite restaurants, hotel stays and more. Good Benefits!

Wednesday, April 07, 2010

My Mom and Dad retired from their jobs a few years ago and we are generally just spending their well deserved rest at home. They are in the same situation though because after they retired from their respective companies Mom and Dad got their lump sum pension. Mom worked in the government for over 25 years and she is a public school teacher. She went up the ranks and eventually became Assistant Principal. After a few years she just got stressed and tired and it was really getting toxic. She was supposed to get her master's degree and get the Principal position on other schools but she begged off because she was already fulfilled and a little tired of work politics. Dad worked in an aviation corporation as an HR Executive and he is in charge of getting people their social security transactions. If something was to take part between the corporation and other institutions like SSS or GSIS he is surely going to be the one to talk to. He did a great job and spent 20 years climbing the ranks and he was well rewarded after 25 years of service. He played basketball for the corporation too and they won a lot of games for them. It brought prestige because my Dad was a former college star player and that is one way of going professional. In its truest sense; they have done a very good job.

They both got the lump sum of their benefits so they do not have to wait and get old before they enjoy the fruit of their labor. At least we get to travel with them now. I love them both!

BRAVE STORY : The New Traveler

Wednesday, August 06, 2008

After playing this game for 39 hours in my PSP, I have done it Ladies and Gentlemen! ^_^

I finished this game with flying colors... the storyline of this game was nice... It's all about a boy and his quest to revive his special someone from a coma. You get to name the hero and the damsel in distress at the beginning and choose your best 3 players in order to go through the game.

It was very nice. After you finish the story it will enable you to choose any of the characters that showed up in the game. It will let you harness new powers and level up too. You will get the chance to get the other items that you have not went through yet. It will also show you that the story really does not stop there. I recommend you play this one coz it's sooo nice! ^_^
