Manong Luis Chavit Singson's VBank Gets Launched in Quezon City

Wednesday, December 18, 2024

When things got complicated during the pandemic, Filipinos suddenly had to resort to digital payments and e-wallets to keep family safe at home, but still transact and conduct business during very dangerous times. This has not only given is access, but a variety of services that wasn't a norm to Filipinos throughout the country. From the need for access, internet connection has leveled the playing field and had given those in rural areas a very convenient way to pay, transfer and withdraw money even in remote areas in the country. Financial service should be easy, secure and could empower the underserved folks in the far flung areas.

Manong Chavit Singsong knows this dilemma, and it has affected so many families nationwide. It's why he launched VBank, an app that is available in the App Store and Google Play.

VBank is quite different because it promises account creation entirely on the app, online, without the need to handle physical documents and suffer in long queues. Once registered, one can send money to banks, digital wallets, go pay your bills and buy mobile phone load in one place. If you prefer having cash, you can use it to cash in funds in over 6,000 of their partner outlets across the Philippines. This includes Tambunting Pawnshops, Puregold groceries, Alfamart convenience stores in the Philippines.

They are also gearing to have VBank available in remote regions to make sure those who don't get financial connections would now be able to in a jiffy. Manong Chavit Singsong describes this as a way for people to participate in the economy for nation building and inclusion in financial services. The event was also witnessed by celebrity endorser and actress Ms. Aiai Delas Alas who was there at the venue to entertain guests and talk about the service.

Manong Chavit also announced the start of his "58 days Pa-raffle ni Manong Chavit" which lets new users try out the app and its new features. He also did a daily raffle where users could get Php 5,800 , Php 58,000 and get a chance to win Php 580,000 on the 58th day. This would be best for the 77 percent of the population who until now has not been able to try the banking system. He wants to empower every regular joe. If you're asking about the significance of the number 58, it's his assigned number as he bids for a Senate seat in 2025. He's a man that's got "May Isang Salita" according to his slogan, I bet it's an opportune time to go do it!

Regal’s D’Ninang Has Good Actors and Story

Tuesday, January 21, 2020

Just got out of the cinemas and watched the movie D’Ninang, so a quick note. It’s actually fun, Gb Sampedro did good directing this flick. He made it easier to digest, a comedy with drama, while everyone is crying on the scene you’ll burst into laughter because the other characters have fun things in mind.

Contrary to stories, this isn’t predictable like the usual slapstick comedies you’re used to. You’ll be surprised, it had family conflicts, the good, the bad and the ugly. Aiai had heart, although funny at times, she delivers to make peeps sad. You’ll be rooting for her, and feel for the family. The pairing of McCoy and Kisses actually works, McCoy even got funny scenes that are effective. Angel Guardian also provides twists, and you’ll learn a lot of lessons. Also, that funny guy with Aiai rocks lol.

D’Ninang shows on theaters on the 22nd. It’s simple, no frills, and is a feel good movie. This is under Regal Entertainment Inc.

Aiai, Kisses, McCoy and More for D'Ninang

Wednesday, January 08, 2020

Wow! Regal Entertainment Inc is bringing out a new film called D'Ninang this January 22, and yes it stars Aiai Delas Alas, Kisses Delavin, McCoy De Leon, Angel Guardian, Kiray Celis, Lou Veloso and a lot more.

GB Sampedro says "It's the first salvo of Regal Films, I hope you get to see this. I was nervous because some of them are only working for the first time. We put them together and felt like playing while on the set. It was just too tight to finish this before Christmas hence the January playdate."

Kiray says "I am Lorena, a pretty funny girl who always have something to say.  I learned from my Mom who was a former thief, in malls (she kids). I had a scene where they had to cover my mouth but I had colds that day. Everything was coming out, I was trying not to sneeze. My Ninong Bayani always says he gives me more than gifts every Christmas, he gives prayers most of the time and he attributes all the success I get now from that. My advice to people, not all material things matter. Prayers do wondrous things!"

Angel says "I play Sol here, a thief, who follows Aiai's footsteps. She does things, a little boyish. I have very generous Ninongs when I was a kid and I really enjoyed shopping."

McCoy says "I will be a little epal, comedic in some way. I had to interact with Criminology students to do this and had to not commit crimes. I had yo be on set early, but I am thankful for the experience doing this."

Kisses says "I am so thankful for all of our supporters. We are now trending in The Philippines on Twitter. I am always righteous, longed for a mom but finally meet her in these circumstances. I experienced riding a jeep, hang from the bars at the end and I haven't experienced that."

Aiai "I hope you continue to tell people of our movie. This is very simple, fun, and we have tons of young stars who gave their all. I play the Ninang here, leader of thieves, but when I found Kisses here, I was challenged to change. It was funny, very chill, we didn't have to force it to be funny because the material already is. I didn't talk to criminals but I remember a Yaya I had who took a lot of things from me. Ninang plays a lot in a life of a child, you get to be the person responsible in case something happens to the parents. I had to give a lot during Christmas, but of course the memories are priceless."

It's a fun film with family in the core, funny and yes, it's got your favorite stars in it. Go watch it and have a good laugh!

And Ai Thank You!

Wednesday, August 07, 2019

There’s another movie coming up with the Concert Comedy Queen Aiai Delas Alas and she’s going to show you the fun wonderful world of showbiz with And Ai Thank You! It’s the most used term to end every pageant question in the Philippines and if you’re looking for twice the fun, this will over deliver.

Produced by Reality Entertainment and Horseshoe Studios, this film written and directed by Joven Tan will go through the life of an artist who wants to make a difference, who . Ms Aiai says “It is true, I am excited, I feel this movie will be loved because the trailer has so much views. Direk Joven did it glossy because we are artists in this film. Our direk is simple, he just instructs, no pressure. I have pegs but it’s a lot.”

Direk Joven says “I was with her in Kung Fu Divas and Shake Rattle and Roll, this film was just a joy to do. There is no antagonist, she will be a new artist in place but she’s not evil.”

Ruffa Mae says “I am just sad that she lost projects, but I am not an enemy, I am just the up and coming. Sometimes I felt that way in the past but I always support, I never wanted to be a superstar, it was passion, a job for me to make money and help my family. I just enjoyed it. I was inspired with Ms Aiai, because she was in the prime of her career when she got to 40, I was fat but I wanna do my best, my very very best. I just have huge ... and I am 40 and a half, I didn’t celebrate last year because my mother died, condolence to me.”

The film also includes Dennis Padilla, Kakai Bautista, Joey Paras, Juliana Parizcova Segovia, Rubi Rubi, Anjo Yllana, Joross Gamboa and Ruffa Mae Quinto. It will be in theaters this August 14 nationwide!

Aiai Set To Do Charity Concert at the Araneta Coliseum

Monday, June 17, 2019

Spoke to Ms. Aiai Delas Alas this afternoon after the successful media screening of her film Feelenial a few days ago. She’s also going to have a concert for the benefit of Christ the King Church as they plan to build a shrine for the youth. This also serves as a thanksgiving for Bishop Tobias who’s about to leave the diocese soon. It is consequently Ms. Aiai’s 30th year in showbusiness and this would be a fitting celebration of that. Ms Aiai says “This will be big, this will be a full blown concert with performances by me and fellow artists and will be held at the Araneta Coliseum on June 24. It is entitled AIHEARTRCBN at 7pm.”

Her guests include Lovely Abella, Bayani Agbayani, Jeric Gonzales, Jose Manalo, Alden Richards, Julie Anne San Jose and a lot more. She is being helped by HOBE, a couple of the brands she’s in, plus individuals who just wanted to help in this noble cause. She is also very thankful for the artists who in a way gave their precious time for the cause (Alden said yes instantly!). She also divulged to have an MMFF film together with Coco Martin which she hopes to get in the festival.

Her film Feelenial is all about the “feeling of being a Milennial” even if they are in a different age group. She will be with Bayani Agbayani, Martin Nievera and Pops Fernandez. Their chemistry is undeniable and she says it was because they’ve been barkada for so long so the jokes they throw are personal. She would like to thank BLI Farms for sponsoring her press conference. For tickets, please contact the Archdiocese of Novaliches who will spearhead the project.

Aiai and Bayani Brings Millennial Fun in Feelenial

Thursday, June 13, 2019

Cignal Entertainment and DSL Events and Productions bring you a new fun movie that will take your not so young family members into the millennial generation, I mean, wouldn’t that be fun?

This film stars the Comedy Concert Queen Aiai Delas Alas, and the very funny ultimate sidekick Bayani Agbayani in a journey that is so unfamiliar to them.

James Meneses who handles content with Cignal Entertainment says “I speak for the company and this movie is a milestone. It is our 5th theatrical release and first of DSL Production under Ms Pops Fernandez. This is also the first teamup of Aiai and Bayani. I hope you enjoy this film as much as we had fun making it.”

The producer Concert Queen Pops Fernandez says “I can say, thank you for coming here and it is the first time we are seeing this, I hope you like this and post something about it on social media. Sit back, relax and keep laughing!”

Ms Aiai says “I hope you all like this, I can’t wait to see it! I think millennials can relate to the story and even the feelenials. It is a very good film, thank you Cignal and DSL Productions for making this happen, for making this night special.”

The film also includes actors Skelly Skelly, Nar Cabico, Arvic Tan, Raffy Roque, Gelai Andres and Sofia Delas Alas.

We watched the film with the cast this evening and it was really funny. It’s not the type with super slapstick and boink sounds we usually see on comedies, mostly funny lines and timing interjected situations. It’s also filled with lines that you can just finish in your head, some you would think is personal, watch out for the dinner scene because that’s where you’ll understand what I mean.

The film also is a little filled with profanity, something that they kinda not hold back on some instances so you’ll feel it’s actually real in some way or form. Plus, it’s got a bit of a love story. I don’t want to spoil things but if you wanna ask if this is a good movie or not, it has its merits. It’s not a cheap movie, it was made quite nice, using HD cams so it also feels fresh.

Retchie Del Carmen directed this film. The sequences of their conversation is just so funny, more like they’re throwing hugot lines used more by millennials, it was so funny when they found out what they were doing in the end. You’ve gotta see this funny movie, it’s not over the top, it just feels fresh for a Bayani and Aiai starred project. This also teaches you to accept each others flaws, to love when you can. Shows June 19.

It’s fun, trust me. :)

The End of EX BATTALION

Wednesday, May 15, 2019

We saw a very furious and angry Aiai Delas Alas over lunch in Pamana Quezon City. This apparently stemmed from her boiling anger towards her rap crew Ex Battalion. For those who don’t know, Aiai served as their Manager around early 2018. Hearing their hit song “Hayaan Mo Sila” she was adamant to get them as talent and guide them to the crazy life of showbusiness because she has been in the industry for years.

Knowing they are from the underground scene Aiai felt then that she had to help them fix their lives. She’s like their second mother, trying to fix bouts of personal and professional problems since late last year, but she never had given up because she felt she had to help them make a career out of this, and hopefully become successful artists themselves later on. She says “I don’t know how it all came off because last week, one of them quit and told me via chat... then almost all of them followed suit. There are also some instances where I didn’t scold them even if they were a but unprofessional not going on performances and events they had a commitment with. I fell flat, on deaf ears sometimes because I am their manager. Now they might be facing charges with Viva I dunno, and without Mark, I don’t think I should even get them gigs. This is a traumatic experience for me, especially if they didn’t show up on gigs and I get contacted by producers. The last time, I told them they will face the producers lawyers and I wouldn’t be able to help them. After this, I don’t think I’d even want to manage people anymore. All I wanted to do was help these people, because I thought I’d be blessed more by God if I do that. It has happened so many times and tons of people told be about it, one year and two months isn’t a joke.”

She might be trying to make this a little funny while she delivered this but she’s seriously disappointed. I don’t think they would be able to fix this, will it spell the last time we’ll hear of EX BATTALION?

You be the judge.

Aiai Endorses SIOMAI KING

Siomai King Meets Comedy Concert Queen

I’m sure you’ve seen one near you because they’re literally everywhere. One of the most reputable food brands SIOMAI KING - is still serving Filipino favorite siomai in different varieties, but this time they’re making it more special. How you guess? Well let’s just say they’re putting a face in it, in the persona of comedy concert queen Aiai Delas Alas. Yes, she’s now the face of Siomai King. The brand is under JC Worldiwide Franchise Inc. who also is involved with direct selling and other brands.

Ms. Evelyn Guarin the current Franchise Manager of Siomai King says “It has always been a pleasure to work with a celebrity that has the people believe in. We are so happy to see Ms. Aiai be part of the Siomai King brand as we continue to grow more branches in the coming years. She is also our celebrity franchisee. Having her here as our #SiomaiNgInaMo is fitting as she becomes our Siomai King partner. Welcome!”

Siomai King Kiosks can also be franchised

Their Famous Chicken Siomai

Take Siomai with your friends and family

Love this!

Chicken Siomai gone in 3 minutes

Black Gulaman

Japanese Siomai

Hongkong Siomai

Ms. Aiai happily accepts the challenge and says “I actually plan to put up my own franchise in one of the SM Malls because I believe in the brand. What I like about Siomai King is that they’re not selfish, they give you your moneys worth every time because they are the first one who served 5 pcs of Siomai in one order, unlike in other brands that only serve 4 which feels so bitin. The 5th siomai is really the one that is so filling! I take my Siomai with rice because I am very Filipino, my first branch will be at Puregold Paso De Blas and I hope to have more branches soon!”

Siomai King currently serves Chicken Siomai, Hong Kong Siomai, Shanghai Siomai, Japanese Siomai served with rice and ice cold Gulaman too. The difference is, they serve 5 pieces of it instead of the usual 4 in the Philippines, so you’re assured you’re getting more for the same price. You may visit their website if you want to own one via jcfranchisinginc.com or email them at customersupport@jcfranchisinginc.com or their numbers 889-4773, 889-4774, 889-4775, 889-4776 or their mobile number 0917-852-3726. The franchise with equipment and utensils, personal training, ocular, opening and site assistance cost Php 258,888.

You may call this guy if you also want to know more!

I want siomai now, so bad! Good thing there's about 800+ branches nationwide and they are expanding outside the country.

Aiai Delas Alas to do Concert for a Cause

Friday, April 05, 2019

Aiai Delas Alas has always been so modest. She’s a very successful host, movie or tv actress and she still is the reigning comedy concert queen. She’s also a very successful businesswoman, a very effective endorser, but little do people know how passionate she is when it comes to helping the community. She puts a part of her hard earned money in building a church which she deems has been an important part of her life, she attributes this on why she is successful.

This year, she’s making a full effort to give for the benefit of Kristong Hari Church in cooperation her sponsor HOBE Quick Cook Noodles. They manufacture different Hobe products such as Quick Cook Bihon, Pancit Canton, Special Palabok, Instant Pancit Bihon and others. They have been having Ms. Aiai as their endorser for years and they believe in the causes she’s supporting.

Ms. Aiai says “Kristong Hari Parish Church is very close to my heart, our last concert was For the Love of Mama, we now have a roof over our head but we still need more funds for the columbary part because this is a basilica. This is going to be on June 24 at the Araneta Coliseum. Our guests are to be announced soon but definitely it will be a hodgepodge of my friends. Tickets will be sold by the diocese, ticketnet and also the clergy. This will be filled with pop performances, it won’t be just songs of praise, but it will be a mix of both. This is set to be built all good in three years. I am part of the diocese, when I was passing by, I saw how people were just crossing towards this small house and figured it was a church. They were getting wet, so I helped to raise funds with them in the past. This is new, it will be bigger because it will be the whole diocese that will be behind me. It will be a bigger concert. I remember Alden, Ruru, Gabbi, Eric Santos and a lot of other artists performed for them. My faith isn’t something I broadcast but sometimes I need to so they can help me help the church. Hobe helped me put up the presscon and blogcon and I am so thankful for that. The diocese will also be giving this as a tribute for the retiring Father and it’s why the concert is called AI HEART (Roman Catholic Bishop of Novaliches) RCBN. There are still no ticket prices yet but we will announce soon. Show starts at 8pm and I will perform with the clergy. On May 1 I will have a movie with Viva, June 19 Feelenial, and hope I get an MMFF film too later this year. Make sure you watch Kara Mia, The Clash, and about 3 more movies. I am blessed beyond belief. I don’t take my roles at home and it is my way to go to other places to debrief, that’s how I deal with it. I hope you help us help to build our church especially those who are blessed, we want our Kristong Hari church to be built soon and with this concert, we can do that! Thank you Hobe and St. Peter Parish.”

Now make sure you get your tickets and support this concert because it is going to a good cause.

Aiai Delas Alas Opens AIsian Fusion Hybrid Casual Restaurant

Saturday, October 27, 2018

Spent the afternoon at Ayala Malls Cloverleaf yesterday to witness the launch of Aisian Fusion: Hybrid Casual Restaurant which is owned by Ms. Aiai Delas Alas and her partners. The Chef previously worked at Highgrounds in Rallos but took training in Malaysia, when he got back he executed the recipes of Ms. Aiai's partners specifically for this restaurant. It's located at the 4th floor of the mall beside Slimmers World. This is bad news for those who would try to lose weight but totally fine for everybody else who would crave for Asian cuisine.

Ms. Aiai now owns a few restaurants under her belt, no surprise because she finds it as a necessity for Filipinos and it's something she really believes as the perfect bonding time for families, friends, just about every Joe. So we tried a few things on her menu, which consists mostly of fusion dishes inspired by food from Japan, Korea, China and the Philippines.

For appetizers, they got us dimsum like this Premium Mushroom Siu Mai. I love this because it's not mushy, you can really feel the morsels of mushroom and pork. This is served with chili and soy sauce, freshly made I'm sure because it feels like it.
Their Iced Tea isn't powdered, it's  brewed too.
This is the Pork Katsu. Their version I think is sweeter than the usual  because they adapted it to the Filipino taste. Order this for kids or those who would want lots of rice on their meal.
This one is like Lechon Macau and boiled White Chicken.

This is another bowl of Char Siu pork and Roasted Chicken. I could feel the five spice was used a lot on the chicken.

To give you a short preview of the restaurant and our interview with Ms. Aiai on video. Enjoy!

Again, AISIAN FUSION is at the 4th floor of Ayala Malls Cloverleaf. They are open mall hours so make sure you get there on time. They also host events, so please do call them for reservations via +639668109178. The place is new, with an open kitchen, so posh for the place but that's a welcome development.

Go eat!
