Still Dishing Out Freshly Squeezed Content: Orange Magazine Celebrates 14 Years!

Friday, August 16, 2024

I've had the opportunity to know about Orange Magazine a couple years ago, well decades, maybe even more. It's been 14 years of showcasing some of the freshest and orangey celebrities, companies, brands, and they've really done well in making sure to put their message across.

Orange Magazine Editor Jeman Bunyi Villnueva has been a friend. One that you can talk frankly with if you're in a rut. You can say we're some of the more experienced bloggers in the industry together with a few common friends who's been here the longest. Every year, he's managed to celebrate their milestones and showed how much he's thankful for those who have supported his website and social channels.

In his 14th year, we were all invited to his gathering at Joy Nostalg Hotel and Suites (Managed by Accor). At The Roof, they had a program featuring Filipino Canadian artists DK Tijam, DK Talents Keyleigh Cerezo, Keeana Cerezo and local acoustic guy Destiny Palisoc who opened the event. DK Tijam by the way will be having a concert at the Music Museum on August 16th with power belter Dessa and Troy Laureta. They will also be joined by Antoinette Targa, Chelsea Star and Bella Magbag plus other surprise guests. They properly call it "By Request: Your Playlist Live on Stage", and they'll be performing some of their OPM favorites plus a few RnB and Pop numbers which is equally exciting!

Orange Magazine has been given accolades and recognition from different bodies. Jeman was a bit emotional thanking the PR agencies, brands that have returned the favor and made their presence felt during the occasion, they even sent some goodies plus a few prizes for blogger/influencer guests amounting to almost 250K to be given just on this day.

"Orange Magazine and I would like to thank their sponsors Beautéderm (for all the beauty products they sent), PLDT Home, AirAsia, airasia MOVE (who gave local and international flights to lucky winners), Grab (who gave Grab credits), Narr8 PH, M360 PR+Activations Agency, LG Philippines (who gave LG products for lucky participants), DITO Telecommunity, foodpanda, EON PH, TikTok Shop, RLC Residences (who also gave Robinsons GC's), realme (who gave audio devices), AGENTS, International Persuasion Specialist, Launch & Meet, maya, COMCO Southeast Asia, Midea, LadyBug, FuentesManila Public Relations, GCash, Eggshell PR, Metrobank, Bridges Creative Ideas & Strategies, OPPO, Doogee, HONOR Philippines, Buensalido Public Relations, Stratworks, Dominguez Marketing Communications Inc., Pau Bautista, Potato Corner (who gave potato corner GC's), Cherry Philippines (who gave the Air Purifier which I won), Kingsford Hotel Manila (for us who won the hotel stay!), Grand Westside Hotel, Ardent Communications, BrandComm, Grupo Agatep, Mang Inasal, Full Circle Communications, Precious PR, WSP, Tai Chi Rub & VCO Liniments, Moringa Vita, JG Superstore (who gave some tripods to lucky ones), Manila Marriott Hotel, Novotel Manila Araneta City, ibis Styles Manila Araneta City, Centaur Marketing, SceneStealer, SAFC, Spark It Philippines, DMNA, Home Credit PH, Michael Cruz (of the Home Credit PH peeps), Corner Magazine PH, Shigetsu, Kleenfant, Mikana, ALPAS Consultancy, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, Moonton (who gave us lucky ones Diamonds for the game), Lorem Ipsum Consulting Inc., Whip Public Relations & Communications, Lilee & Kukael by Gus Villa, City of Dreams Manila, Phillippine Integrated Advertising Agency (PIAA), The Bellevue Manila, Nawa Wellness, Calatagan, ASUS, Swissotel Clark, Widus Hotel Clark, MSL Influence Impact, Greenwich, Goldilocks, The Farm at San Benito, A-List & Partners Consulting Group Inc., Pascual Laboratories, Ascorbic Acid Poten-Cee (which gave their best products to lucky ones), BrandIt, SKECHERS (gave a pair of shoes to Rod Magaru), MODE DEVi Media Inc., Chuck Gomez, Sip & Chug Coffee (owned by Sai Montes, had good drip coffee!), Pix Republik/Reel Republik Studios (for our official photos), Ogilvy, Epson, DigitalHog, Reneue Beauty and Wellness, CAT PR, Rain Ferdinand, IPR, Utterly Techie, Renjie Tolentino Photography (a good friend who also did shots for the event, he does it professionally)."
Now, he's got a whole team he calls Team Orange who helps him with events and coverage. They're pretty good people. Jeman knows how to also discern folks, and to this day, he's still going to be talking a lot, writing a lot, and connect to even more people. I only wish him all the best, because that's exactly what he has been doing. Plus he wants a love life happen soon, maybe that would make it complete.

Congratulations to Orange Magazine! From us at KUMAGCOW.COM (meaning me), we'll be cheering you on to reach even greater milestones in the coming years!

Real Robust Challenge Winners Bared

Wednesday, December 13, 2023

In the Philippines, we've come to see how Robust has inculcated in the lives of so many men... and in the process, fix personal physical issues when they get to a certain age. The brand has recently held a "Real Robust Challenge", a video blog competition amongst the Philippines' most talented content creators as they feature the all natural power packed supplement that contains Epidmedium Extract, Goat Weed, which is a Chinese aphrodisiac. It also has Gingko Biloba Leaf, Ginseng, Dansheng and Dahurian Angelica root, plus L-Arganine, for that long lasting performance.

Racking up millions of views for each video, they announced the top entries at the event a few nights ago. The Real Robust Challenge winners won 300k for 3rd Place given to Elaiza Sy (21,870,184 views), 500K for the 2nd Place went to FCY Channel (24,173,225 views), while the top prize of 1 Million went to VinF TV (41,285,748 views). Other top entries also won 30,000. Mind you, they also gave the prizes that day in cold cash, tax free!

The event was also graced by ATC Healthcare executives, makers of Robust in the country. Also in the crowd was the nice Raffy Tulfo himself, he was really nice talking in the sidelines especially to other vloggers who went up to him to take selfies.

They also announced that this will be repeated next year, but since ATC Healthcare International is feeling extra generous, Robust and Livermarin will be joining forces to give a whopping Php 2 Million for the winner in 2024. Congratulations on a very successful event! I can't wait to join the contest next year, it'll probably be huge as more content creators would take a jab at the prize and enjoy the same benefits that Robust gives.

Mikael Daez Shows Love on Blog and Vlog

Thursday, May 26, 2016

Passion is sometimes downplayed as dangerous rather than being adventurous. Mikael Daez begs to differ. He's been traveling to different places, has gone thousand of miles away from home but still stays very basic. What brings him to these other countries is his love for culture, to see what's different out there and perhaps learn a thing or two about their culture, then make it his for a while.

I've been really asking about the status of their relationship (his latest post says it all), apparently the current title is "travel buddy" and "friend" but they look like a real couple and I'm not convinced LOL (but personally I think they're a pair - please don't quote me on that cc: Ms. World Megan Young). Although adventurous by default, Mikael Daez wants live life to the fullest. He even wants to take as many people with him as possible on these trips (so imagine how expensive that would be LOL). He's now harnessing the power of social media too and he's putting it all in his journal, his own website www.mikaeldaez.com and his Youtube channel Youtube.com/MrMikaelDaez.

It's fun to see him outside the studios, raw, just feeling the place's vibe as he gets to eat the food, meet the people and see the places he's been to. You kinda envy him, but somehow make it your goal to someday, some way, you'll find a way to travel there and feel it too. You should check out his notes on the website and read how he runs his life with passion, you kinda also see how he's so engulfed in this flame he calls life.

Who am I joking? They look so good together in his latest post so hurry! :P

Mikael by the way is still in Poor Senyorita paired with Asia's Songbird Ms. Regine Velasquez - Alcasid so please watch that too!

Kathryn Bernardo Launches KathBernardo.com

Tuesday, July 28, 2015

It was a sunny, clear afternoon when we got invited to Kathryn Bernardo's website launch. She arrived surprised with throngs of fans, supporters and fan club administrators already having sweets, cakes and candies that day and she's brought good news. Kathryn Bernardo is now the proud owner of http://www.KathBernardo.com. She says starting now, this will be her new venue so her fans would be able to get to know her, her dreams, her aspirations, and things that she haven't really posted on her other social media accounts. This will make it a bit more personal because she's asking her fans now to register on the site so she'd know the person behind pseudonyms. Aside from that, she'll also be posting behind the scene photos and videos from their hit show Pangako Sayo where she stars together with teen king Daniel Padilla.

Kathryn will also treat this as her diary so she could tell her most loved fans how she really feels in certain subjects, about love, perhaps relationships. She's also looking forward to reply to selected social media posts, one that would be a little surprise because she'll personally choose and search for them all throughout the web. She's very eager to do that. Aside from the personal stuff, you'll also get to see glimpses of her family, the people behind the camera and the countless supporters which she dedicates this to. She'll also share her favorite life hacks, like brownies in a mug, things to do at home and small things which she enjoys the most.

She says "In this website, you'll see things behind the scenes, our kulitan moments, plus my Kathcakes. Every week I'll pick 5 questions that catches my attention and I'll answer them myself. I'll tell you my childhood dreams, answer random questions, you can ask me anything and I'll try and answer it. We'll also feature fans, I'll reply on the account too, like this week, I gave words of encouragement to a fan who was a little conscious of her cheeks. Then there's another boy who just loves me and I replied. If you want to suggest anything on the site, just let us know so we can try it out. This website is more personal, if you don't want to see me as an artist, this is where you can talk to me, see simple things, it's not like instagram that is too crowded. I will personally reply to you as much as I can.The website will also get very detailed stories, if you see parts of it on Instagram, you'll see the whole story on my site. I don't usually do that on Instagram but this time, you'll see more videos of me. The site will also be moderated so you're sure this will all be just pure good vibes. I know there will be people that would try to bash, but we're going to take care of that since we also have a moderator on the site. I don't want to use the term blogger, maybe just expect me to be more active here, daily updates... That I can try and promise. Maybe for now, we'll have the comment section open but perhaps soon we can try and put up a forum, but of course it's going to be controlled because it's going to be filled with positivity!

If you love Kathryn Bernardo, you'll love the new KathBernardo.com. Make sure you visit the website so you can fall in love with her again!

Marjorie Uy Re-Launches LivingMarjorney.com

Thursday, January 15, 2015

This afternoon, I rushed to Greenwich SM North Edsa to be with some blogger friends and Marjorie Uy, author of LivingMarjorney.com. She's turning a new page and introducing a fresher, simpler website that she'll be calling Woman In Digital to replace her former one - so she'd be a but easier to remember, lovelier to campaign for seo purposes too. The rebranding comes after new Digital Marketing Agency Digital Circles will be handling her together with her husband Jonel Uy as the firm's head.

Marjorie says "This has been in the plans for quite a while now and it's just this year that it materialized. You'll see better personal, home and living, lifestyle, events and review posts from me in this new domain. This event was just a simple  thanksgiving for everyone, readers and brands who have been supporting me all these years. We'll probably venture into videos too later on as we get serious about what I enjoy most - all these years of blogging!" and I can't wait to see what's in store for her this 2015!

Congratulations Marj! Cheers to Woman In Digital!

Sharing Should Be Stress Free with Electrolux!

Monday, October 20, 2014

Hi guys! It's that time once again to tell you about the Electrolux Save and Share Blog Series. It's part of a big campaign to teach Moms and their families out there to save money and time of which we know is very important. Here, we get to interview their awesome endorsers Cheska Garcia - Kramer, my favorite Chef Bruce Lim, the pretty Chef Rosebud Benitez and Mommy Mundo's Janice Villanueva so they can tell us their secrets about how to use your time effectively, save a ton on electricity, utilities when at home.

You see, I have a couple of relatives who have this habit of pooling their old clothes together and donating them to charity on a regular basis. Though I know a lot of organizations who would gladly find this useful, a couple of the items they had on hand were outgrown baby clothes. They got some pretty new ones because it was only used a few weeks since babies grew big over time, so they didn't know where to put it. I had the urge of asking Electrolux ambassadors Chef Rosebud Benitez and Cheska Diaz - Kramer about clothes segregation because they've probably done a lot. Here's what they have to say about it.

We asked Chef Rosebud and Cheska about their hardships in maintaining the process of donating organized. What are their challenges and do they see it as a great way to declutter?

Chef Rosebud says "I guess one thing that we have to think of when we donate clothes is if the clothes we'll be donating would be appropriate for other people to wear. For example, we shouldn't give away old gowns, trench coats, heavy sweaters just so we can remove them from our cabinets because obviously, they're not appropriate for other people to wear daily". I guess she's got a point there, we can't give away those fancy ones to the needy. Think about the people wearing it, keep it basic and functional so that when they do receive it they'll use it appropriately.

Cheska on the other hand pushes for the importance of knowing where your donation will go and implies the use of social media to at least get a glimpse of the situation. She says "At the time of social media where everybody is into it, you are able to see naman that there’s a list of people need. There are already the do’s and don’ts of donating. For a people who have lots of show clothes or party dresses what they do, because they know they can’t donate that, they have a garage sale. The money they make out of it they donate. They look for the proper avenue to donate that money. For those people who have emotional attachment to the things they give, I guess during calamity you are able to detach yourself from that emotional attachment to your things, right? And really look at what it can do to help out other people, that should be enough."

Then we asked them about segregating the clothes, Chef Rosebud simply said "It's important so that it'll be easier to give it to people we'll be donating to." Cheska reiterated "Just like what I said earlier, not everything in your closet can be donated. So for one, try to find out what are the things that are needed. Usually kasi, I’ve done kasi a lot of donations already even with my kids. So when I would set aside their clothes, I may sure they are not the costumes or the party clothes. Instead I make sure that it is what really needed, let’s say mga pantulog, blankets for babies because a lot of babies kasi usually, they only donate for children and adults. So what I would do is I would set aside one kit or like clothes for infants. Para to find out kasi usually they come up with things that could be donated. So know first know what they need and then from there, you can segregate what you can give from your closet. So number one thing is to be informed." With that alone, you can go a long way in making your sharing experience less toxic, easy and stress free.

If you want to know more about more ways and tips on saving and sharing, you may check out more of the Electrolux Save and Share Blog Series by visiting their Facebook page www.facebook.com/thelittlewhitebook or follow @ElectroluxPH on Twitter and Instagram. Thank you Chef Rosebud Benitez and Ms. Cheska Garcia - Kramer for sharing your views and I hope this would really get to help a lot of people.

Love,

Skyscanner Philippines

Thursday, January 30, 2014

We sat down with a couple of people from Skyscanner a few days ago. It was light and we had a few laughs. Well, we had a lot actually. This was like a very casual way of introducing to us Skyscanner. Have you heard of it?

If not, then let me explain how it works in lay mans terms. We travel locally and internationally now. Whenever you go to book a flight, we check each and every airline website in the Philippines and scrummage for the cheapest and most convenient flight. Now that's a little arduous right?

When you go to http://www.skyscanner.com.ph/, you just put in your flight origin, destination and the date you prefer... then it will get you results of ALL the airlines on its directory and give you results arranged to your preferred filters. I went and searched one for Dublin as I plan to go there late this year. Prices ranged from 53K to 200K. It also indicated the actual airline where the ticket is booked plus the airport stopovers I'd have to take if I bought it. It's like google for trips. Isn't that a life and time saver? Sometimes, it makes no sense why we have to go through all that when we can just do it in one website. Now, its easier, better and more convenient. Skyscanner's Ms. Janet Ranola showed us how the website and system works. Best of all, Skyscanner's free and we don't have to pay them extra premium for their services. Isn't that neat? You can also check what's the best time to purchase tickets because it analyzes data from previous years. Their operations are based in Europe and they've devised a system that's both secure and fool proof so you don't have to worry about anything since booking will be done via the airline's individual websites. Isn't that neat? Now you don't have to scan and write down things because it's all in one website. You can even book hotels and cars if the need arises. Now tell me, how cool is that?! :D

Skyscanner also announced the Philippine finalists for the Skyscanner Bloscars Travel Awards. They will be judging who comes as the best in the Philippines and battle it out with other bloggers from Asia Pacific. The winner will get to win thousands worth of travel credits with Skyscanner. They will also give away gadgets which includes a DSLR camera I heard. Now that's big. Let's see who will win that coveted prize!

For what its worth, Skyscanner rocks! Who wouldn't like saving thousands of pesos right? :)
